Got me some tater salad...hot link sandwich. I just love love there tater salad.. when I lived on Oklahoma for a year, BBQ, was only Bodacious! It's not the same!

You can never go wrong at Bodacious! The bathrooms are very clean.

I ordered my meal to go and it took less than 5 minutes, I didn't have enough time to fill my drink and my food was ready even though it was lunch time and the restaurant was crowded. I got the plate meal with a chopped beef sandwich, potatoes salad and beans. They put a lot of meat in the sandwich, the potatoes salad was really tasty as well as the beans. I really like this location.

It is very hard to explain unless you know what I'm talking about. Bodacious has been around 4 years and it's been good and getting better and better every time I go. It's a place to go getaway and enjoy the hospitality of good folks. The only thing is the taste keeps getting better and better. Enjoy the time and effort of the employees and the owners and hope to see y'all real soon. Thank you for the hospitality.

This BBQ was so very good and the service was excellent. Joseph was the cook on hand. I believe he is a chief. How can it get any better. Oh, the string beans; I never had anything like them before. They were cooked with brown sugar and very good bacon. Hats off to this Bodacious. I will be back many times. Thank you. By the way I had the bake potato with lean chopped beef, the slice beef sandwich, and the ribs. All great.

The turkey is my favorite, but all of their BBQ is tender and tasty. Sides are really good too! Mac n cheese, baked beans and potato salad are my favorite. The owner is friendly and she knows her customers.

Same good old comfort food I got when I attended LeTourneau University in the 80’s. Love that they’re still around and still have great food. Hit this place every time I come through the area.

Today was our first time trying you guys. I am impressed! Everything was just perfect!! We had ordered 2 sandwich plates and a meat potato to split. We couldn't even finish our sandwich plates so we have leftovers for tomorrow!! I call that a win! Great job guys and I will definitely be back in the future!!!!

This Bodacious location gets alot of traffic because of its proximity to the hospital and medical centers. Parking is ample and, as at every Bodacious I've ever tried, staff are super friendly. The restaurant is usually clean except during exceptionally busy times when staff have may have more trouble keeping up with messes. The food is great. I think I have tried everything on the menu and the BBQ and smoked items are worth a trip.

I come here every time I see family in Longview. I never miss the opportunity. I love the sliced beef and the Mrs. likes the chop beef. Kids love the sausage. Potato salad and beans are on point! The only issue is my stomach isnt big enough. I’ve been eating here for 30+ years. Hopefully I’ll be around for the next 30 years to enjoy Bodacious. They set the standard for which I measure all BBQ restaurants against.

We are from Alabama and love bbq! I had the chicken and my husband had the ribs. Really, really good. We loved the bbq sauce. In fact we bought some to take back home.

I have been to several bodacious, this is the first time coming to Longview this one is probably my favorite customer service was excellent, I was worried about ordering ribs so close to closing thinking they would be dried out and tough this was not the case just as fresh as they would be first thing in the morning.

This was good. Hot links and beef slices so flavorful. Hot BBQ sauce great. Cole slaw and Mac n cheese great.

Great BBQ, at great prices, with friendly faces and attitudes to match. I always go for the brisket, but their turkey is a great second for me. The color and smoke are just the perfect amount.

Went there for lunch. It was all very good. My wife had the chicken breast, I had a sliced beef sandwich. Each of us had potato salad. Lip smacking good. Went for lunch again today she got sliced beef plate and I got a sliced beef sandwich and potato salad. Sure was good. All the service help was very polite and helpful.Lunch again today. I got my usual sliced beef sandwich with potatoes salad. My wife got the chopped beef with potato salad. Really good. The counter help was really nice.

Our favorite of all of this chain. Food is always hot, portion size is generous. The building is so pretty and inside its unique and friendly. Staff is always nice and welcoming. Only disappointment is they run out of baked potatoes too early.

The BBQ was great. No music played in the background, which with a big enough crowd would be fine. We went when there was not a crowd, and the lack of music did feel slightly awkward. Big fan of the building. The architecture is fun and was one of the main reasons I wanted to dine here. The building is a 5* out of 5*s.

Great food both meats and sides. Tender meat and tasty sides. Will have to come back and try something else. Ribs were good, same for beef slices which are briskets and sausages. Good portion, a little slow in getting them but increased the anticipation. Green beans were on sweeter side but delicious. Mac and cheese could be better. Potato salad was also good. Wish there were greens. Didn’t have enough coleslaw to scoop up so we skipped it. For first timers: order your meats whether sandwiches or plates, wait for your order then go down the line to scoop up your sides. Drinks station is next then go get your seat to chow down!

These ribs were bodaciously bountiful in their great taste, texture and smell! I exhort anyone living in the Sixth St, Longview, Texas to give thanks in their prayers and to partake of this beloved bodacious mana. It is truly heavenly.

I like the atmosphere of this Bodacious better than the other locations, but I gotta say that the food is better at the Marshall store. It's certainly good here, just not the best of the bunch.

I have never been a fan on bodacious. The BBQ is always adequate. It will never let you down, but there are better choices out there. I have yet to visit the original on Moberly, but I am not reviewing that one. The turkey is good, but it would be alot better if they cut it thicker. The ribs are good...not super juicy, but definitely tasty and fall off the bone. The coleslaw...well coleslaw. The item that really threw me off was the green beans. Never have I had sugary green beans and there is a reason. Green beans should never be made the way this bodacious makes them. If you are hungry and are not looking for the best BBQ in Longview, then you will not be disappointed with the Bodacious.

Ate at 6th street Bodacious and it was really good. The sauce is great. The brisket was tender and the chicken too. We will go back again! The green beans were almost gone and the macaroni and cheese needs more flavor. But in all it was good!

The food is delicious and if you're a sweet tea lover, bodacious high on the list of BBQ heaven. I tend to be a very picky person when it comes to my BBQ and I have yet to be disappointed with either the taste, friendly customer service or cheap prices! The only downfall is they do not seem to give enough meat when it comes to ordering the potato with meat. They give you way more cheese and butter than meat which always disappoints me, making me want to ask for more.

So the place itself looks really nice, inside was very clean and has a very Texas vibe. I was hoping for some good Ole fashion Texas BBQ, but it was kinda.....eh. It wasn't bad, but there was nothing special about it. I got the four meat plate (ribs, ham, sausage, and pulled pork). The bbq sauce was generic. Like I said, not bad, but won't come back.

Who doesn't love good ole fashion bbq? And that's what they do... old school bbq. But just like your uncle, who can smoke brisket, the potato salad may have a little too much pepper and the beans are meh. The atmosphere is that of a roadhouse bar and a small town family restaurant.

The chicken was very dry, and did not absord any of the BBQ sauce I dumped on to help. The Mac n cheese was so-so and cold, and the beans had hardly any flavor. But they were super hot in a inconsistent way to everything else.

Food is great. Service was not as much. This was our first time at this location. We usually go to the one on the loop. They didn't explain that you served the sides yourself. We didn't even know where the bbq sauce was for my husband's ribs. They seemed a bit irritated and we were slightly embarrassed. We ordered Mac n cheese for our son's meal. I scraped the bottom of the container and there still wasn't enough to fill the size cup we purchased. At first, they were just saying they were out of Mac n cheese. That's it. The end. I was in shock that all 3 present employees acted as if we should be ok with a 2/3 filled cup. Finally, as we stood there in shock, one employee, possibly the manager or owner, offered us a refund of which I was very grateful. Unfortunately, we will not be back to this location.

I grew up on bodacious. I've always love it and viewed it as a local gem. I got the chopped beef sandwich. The meat was dry and slightly chewy. The staff couldn't tell me what spices where in the BBQ sauce or if there was pineapple added as a sweetener. No one knew. Pineapple is a major allergen. It can kill people. It's in a majority of places BBQ sauces. But you just don't know??

Brisket was tender, smokey and moist. Green beans were homemade but so sweet they were candied and I couldn't taste the beans or the bacon over the sugar. Just could not finish them which pains me because I luv green beans and these would have been great without the sugar. The potato salad had so much pepper I couldn't eat it without coughing. I suspect this is a prep issue, prep cooks misremembering recipes, throwing in tablespoons instead of teaspoons, etc. instead of pulling out the recipe binder and following along carefully. This is a common problem for restaurants. Recipes are the bible and thou shallt not take the lord's name in vain. Lol.

We're went after the lunch crowd and I ordered sliced brisket. It was good but my meat was weighed with a big chunk of the end. That wouldn't have been a problem if it wasn't the burned end. I don't mind paying a higher price for good barbecue, but I'm not sure this was up to bodacious BBQ standards.

Same bodacious that has been around for years. Great value, tender meat. They use sugar in the tub, not my favorite. We had the four meat plate, and all the sides so we're able to try just about everything on the menu.

Good bbq. But, rude employees that embarrassed an older woman. She ordered a takeout plate and did not know that she was supposed to stand to the left side. A woman in her twenties actually hollers at her. It was humiliating for her and uncalled for. It was not a busy time.

$14 for a chopped beef sandwich plate. The meat was dry and the sides were bland and tasteless. The service was nothing special. They charge a fee if you use a debit card. They have fried pies for $3.50 that were soggy and had no taste My last visit here

To start off, if you are looking for the Bodacious BBQ on the Texas Monthly list, this is not that location - you want to go to the original Mobberly Avenue location. I grew up coming here for either a sit down or takeout, and it was the go-to place for BBQ. Coming back to Longview a few times per year, my parents usually want to eat here. On this visit, as well as the last two times, it was just average and is not the same quality it used to be. On this last visit, I had sliced beef with two sides - the brisket was very dry and didn't have much flavor, which is consistent with my last several visits. I got pinto beans and mac and cheese as my sides and they were very good. Chopped beef is good for a take-home and serve if you want to liberally apply their sauce, but for true sliced brisket it was very disappointing.

Had the ribs plate but they were WAY OVERDONE! There were many hard pieces that I could NOT eat, was not happy with them at all!! I expected much better, was very disappointed......;(

I’m from Florida and our style of BBQ is different so I’m a bit bias. The ribs weren’t to bad. However the sides and the sauce were awful. I would suggest requesting a sample before you purchase and waste your money.

My husband wanted some BBQ so one location was crowded then he drove to the other. Once there the parking lot was empty first clue we ordered overpriced sandwiches ribs and turkey for me. Not all the best tasting Turkey I've had and the ribs taste was a hit and miss. From now on he will continue to BBQ himself.

Need to offer a sausage with no black pepper and then teach their employees what that means. Customer service was not there at all, need to be friendly and maybe act like they are glad we brought our business to them. I guess Carters will be our place from now on.

The ribs were tough the beans were salty the Mac an cheese was like it came out of a generic box. An for $17 a plate there were hardly any ribs. I really would not recommend this. If you have ever had good ribs than you would understand.

Placed an order over the phone at least 7 minutes out . When I arrived at the 6th street location, they hadn't even started my order. I ordered slices beef and it wasn't even close. Dry and big chunks of meat.The very reason I barbecue my own food. Bodacious used to be a status symbol, all I have to say now is "BODACIOUS YOU SUCK ROTTON EGGS!!!"

Bodacious BBQ is always good. The Google site says this store has a drive-thru. It does not. For 2022, I've ordered from this location at least 3 times because it's close to my home and work. Unfortunately, each time, a large amount of fat has been mixed in with the very expensive dishes. The other locations don't seem to produce such fatty meats. I wonder why?

Went this evening to get a sloppy Joe and small container of beans. Well the beans where Not fully cooked. They were still crunchy. A lot of juice, not many beans. The sloppy joe bun was like the bread sat out on the counter for a while. Real dry and hard around the edges. As for the sloppy, thin and didn't cover the whole bun. And wasn't very hot. I'm NOT happy with this visit! Very disappointed!

Food is okay. Not the worst, not the best. Very dry sliced brisket… Price is double and triple versus what is posted on their website…miraculously they could not provide to-go menu with pricing. Green beans taste like a pound of sugar was poured on top… Pinto beans are good-ish.

Not a favorite for me! Especially if you like a certain kind of bbq sauce. They only offer 1 and I didn't care for it at all it was watery and tasted like store bought cheap sauce with a mix of A1 or something. Also I order brisket and it was so dry I couldn't eat it!

Went to this place for the first and will be last. Bbq sauce on empty, no side choices only mac and cheese and potatoe salad looked like it had been sitting there for weeks. Beef tasted old and cold and not fully cooked. Talk about horrible customer service.

5:50pm I stand in behind a lady that was ordering seeing that's where I stood the last time to make my order & when she was finished I stepped up Dude taking the order looked Straight at the white man behind me & said can I Help you. The man said she was here before me & I said I'm eating somewhere Else & you'll NEVER GET MY GREENBACKS AGAIN.

Called to place an order for two sandwiches and was told order would be ready in about 15 min. With the Covid-19 issue, I asked if we had to come inside to pick up order or if I called upon arrival it would be delivered outside like most Longview restaurants. I was told to come inside to pick up order. So I arrived and order was not ready. I had to wait being at risk of Covid-19 exposure because no one working there wore a mask while all the customers waiting had masks on. Shame that Bodacious does not care about customer safety or well-being. I won't be going back. How many other health guidelines do this place ignore. Gregg County health department should check out Bodacious Bar-B-Q to see if State public health standards are being met,

I have the time today to be crystal clear. Go. Somewhere. Else. While I have no complaints about the food, I am terribly disappointed with the catering service provided to us. Absolutely let down. This Bodacious location catered our wedding reception. When it was over, we were told that our food was packed up and taken away by the Bodacious employees working our event. While this is not a practice I’ve ever experienced with any catering company prior to this incident, I had faith that we would easily get it back the next day before getting on the road to head back home to Louisiana, and that there had to have been some kind of misunderstanding. However, doing anything the next day proved problematic due to the fact that the restaurant is closed on Sundays. I was very displeased about the fact that the food that we paid cash for—OUR food, not theirs—was packed up and taken away without one word being spoken to us about it. We had to go home on Sunday, but I wasn’t very concerned because I foolishly thought that Bodacious, being a reputable restaurant, would make this situation right. My husband spoke to the owner on Monday and told her that we would call back together so I could speak to her, since no solution was offered. When I was able to get in touch with someone on Monday, it was with the worker who served at our event. She professionally apologized (much appreciated) and explained that they typically leave with left over food and store it in their freezer, but she should have asked us what we wanted to do, specifically. She also explained I would have to talk to the owner about any type of refund. When the owner got back with me, she was only focused on was the potentiality of someone from east TX to pick up the food for us. She was impatient, rude, rushed our conversation, and did not listen. There was no apology, and she assumed NO responsibility for the fact that we are 4 hours away from the food that we paid for. She said she would put a refund in the mail...today I got the refund. The refund was $65. That’s SIX-FIVE, in case you didn’t read that correctly. I was told by several guests that we had enough food to feed at least 15-20 more people. The biggest problem, though is that I, myself, have no clue how much remained, because I didn’t see the food before it left the building. When speaking with Shannon (the owner), there was not the slightest effort to explain how much food was left. Instead, she hurriedly told me I’d get a refund. When I asked if she would let me know the refunded amount would be before she put it in the mail, she hastily replied no. Poor communication and terrible attitude by the owner was so disappointing, but it was a rookie mistake on our part to not pay with a check opposed to cash. If you must do Bodacious, it is with all my energy that I advise you to pick another location.

We had sliced beef sandwich, it was cold, cold brisket in my opinion is dry and hard to swallow. Person that took our order was cold too. Served us our food and gave us his back, and continued to talk with person preparing the food. No thanks, come again or anything! We will never visit this location again.

Me and my family went in and had rib sandwich and a sloppy Jo the meat was sitting up under the table light nothing icovering it it was dry and the worst one is the potato salad it was no potato salad I tasted before it tasted creamy like mayo I never want to go there again do not go there I recommend u not to waste your money

The service was very poor. They didn't have most of the meats on their menu, and the meats they had were sitting under a heat light on the cutting table the whole time uncovered. My family and I will never be eating at any Bodacious restaurants again.

Ordered a 4 meat plate for supper, $20 not a bad price right, got home with it had 3 ribs 2 links. Called to ask about it and was told we actually got more then ordered. Done with bodacious bbq. Highway robbery. You are not the only show in town.

Very disappointing. The two meat plate with ribs and brisket, I'm not sure what to say. Two ribs dried out. The brisket wasn't bad but it came with two slices of white bread. Coleslaw and potato salad were mostly mayonnaise. Inedible.

First and last time. Do not recommend. My husband's rib plate cost $11.95 and had only 4 ribs, which were dry and cold. Potato salad and beans had no flavor. Didn't have lids for large drinks. The Dr pepper tasted like watered down coke. Had to put 1 star to make this post, otherwise I would give them 0 stars.

I came to bodacious on 6th st here in Longview tx for a rib plate and a turkey sandwich. The kids in there are not friendly it was POOR CUSTOMER SERVICE I ASK FOR 1 extra rib because i only got 3 on my plate and the 1 extra rib was $4 dollars I use to love coming here but now I don’t think I will be back I didn’t feel welcomed and I work in customer service and them kids had very bad customer. And I never leave bad reviews unless Im very unhappy. And I’m very UNHAPPY WITH THE SERVICE I GOT TODAY.

The ribs were horrible. They tasted as though they had been warmed up a couple of times as well as the beans. I had a sandwich (4ribs), my husband had rib plate (4 ribs, usually you get 5-6). Very disappointed in this establishment that use to be one of the best!

The portion sizes are disrespectful and the customer services is a negative star review. I will never spend my money here again and will encourage every human being I know not to spend money here.

I asked for a sliced beef sandwich and got chopped beef it was hard and dry like they cooked it last night and put it up under the light and served it for today Straight trash I wouldn't feed this type of food to a dog definitely will not go back they should of just demolished the building after the fire instead of rebuilding it save that spot for somebody else that can cook I wish I could get my money back because I almost choked to death on the way home I wouldn't recommend this place to feed the homeless 🫢😷🙃🥴💀

The potato salad had so much pepper in it I could not eat it! There was so much of it that it could of killed me. All I tasted was pepper. It was like they threw the whole pepper shaker in it. The potato salad was gray in color. That is how bad it was. I did tell the guy in front but he didn't seem to care. The turkey sandwiches I ordered were so dry. Save your money and go to Boxcar BBQ were it's delicious and worth the money. Don't waste your money on this trash. No wonder why the parking lot is always empty. The food is terrible.

We were visiting LGV for the day and didn’t open our food until we made it back to Dallas. (bc we thought we would be getting the same quality we would’ve received from the one on the loop.) Idk what has happened from the last time we were there, but I do know they have fallen off! When he called to speak to the manager she said that the amount was correct. This is a snack or even a kids meal!!! We got the 2 meat $14.95 and 3 meat $18.95. And man these ribs were tiny and looked super dry. We didn’t even eat it, we gave it away, going to eat somewhere where they provide the correct portion size for the price.
