we had some minor issues. Our food was taking awhile, so were asked to move forward. When we got our meals, (a #1 tenders and a #4 2 breasts and a large corn nugget), the nuggets were luke warm at best. We handed them back and the employee threw them in the trash without even a sorry. After waiting awhile, we called the store. Now, you are seeing I gave a 5 star, after this slight inconvenience....The manager answered and we explained what happened and not only did she take care of it immediately, she was super friendly hand delivered our nuggets after making them herself and apologized again. Now we had fresh food and it was good....But her customer service was amazing enough to warrant 5 stars

This location actually has spicy tenders and gets your order correct. Emma, is a great employee- she has the biggest smile on her face, while she works fast to bring your orders out. 10/10. 🙏🏽

Best sweet tea. Their chicken is always great. I enjoy getting dinner here. The only thing I dislike are the extremely long and slow lines at dinner. Definitely could use a better drive thru strategy or they should open dibs in again. I personally wouldn’t dine in since COVID, however, maybe it would defeat the 45 minute wait. Especially as people get larger orders here.

I absolutely love Chicken Expresss, it's gotta be my favorite place for a quick and delicious meal. With decent meal and combo prices I can tell you that I frequent not just this location but all the other local locations far more than I probably should. This location in particular has an employee who has an really positive vibe everytime i visit.

Ate here for years, never once a bad meal. Doubt you could find a better Chicken Express within 1500 miles. They always had a tendency to overload our plates when we ordered strips, okra or fries. Somehow we just got way more bang for our buck.

Fresh juicy chicken. All their food is so fresh and I love their staff. Just talking to them they love their job and you can tell, we had never had the hush puppies before (she said they were her favorite) so she got one for each of us to try. They are delicious! We plan to get them next time.

Went today around noonish. There was an employee working the front counter that surprised me. First time in a long while entering a fast food place and had someone appear to actually enjoy working. Kept a smile on his face the entire time I was there. Very personable. On the way out he told me to have a great day. Even when he wasn't helping customers he was preparing food for customers with an overall aura of happiness. I know these are all small things but 99% of the time you enter any fast food establishment employees look miserable and have no interest in doing anything to exceed the expectations of customers. 5 star service.

Love this place. Good chicken always ready. Price is not that bad either. We like to get the big box of tenders with two sides and some rolls. It's enough for dinner and some leftovers for lunch tomorrow. The service is always great the food is always hot and fresh great place. Can't wait till they open the one in Gilmer. First time to be in a Chicken Express much less than to eat the food and...I'm impressed!! Very clean and well maintained bathroom & dining area, fast & very friendly service (very patient with me in looking over their menu & accommodating for my very pregnant daughter), and really good gravy & biscuit with my fresh cooked chicken tenders. Enjoyed the music choice as well.

This place has drive thru and sonic style in car eating. They don't have any inside dining. No table eating outside. Fried okra superb. Atmosphere to me relates to inside dining. Not available here. So no atmosphere here to rate.

The chicken strips were smaller than other Chicken Express. It appeared training new staff, with an off attitude.

Food was hot and delicious, but I had to wait about 15 minutes for my order. They had to cook food, then they had to give me the correct food. And I didn't notice they gave me wrong tea until after I left. They were crazy busy.

In my area it's this place and 2 other chicken places I go to. Ordering your food to eat there is always a pleasant experience. The customers there enjoying their meal and having conversation with the workers is great to see. I will be back

Almost always have nice interaction with employees here. I love their fried pickles and the catfish. Just recently discovered that they have really good chocolate chip cookies, too. We often buy bags of ice and gallons of tea here, too.

Good tea, ordered 3 Gallon's sweetened and 2 Gallons unsweetened, they had to brew the unsweetened so it was a 20 minute wait. Call ahead if ordering more than 2 Gallons.

Its pretty good for a fast food place. The okra is amazing and their rolls are to die for!! Lol The chicken could be a little less greasy but like I said it is a fast food place.

One thing I can't understand is why the three pieces of chicken under "Express extras" is so hard to order. Every time I order this The undertaker always thinks I'm ordering a three-piece meal perhaps either some changes to the men you need to be made or they need to train their staff on the actual menu a bit better is absolutely delicious though worth the wait!

Canes, and all of the other places will never get one on Chicken Express. The spicy chicken strips are freaking awesome. Sides I got were fried okra, and Cole slaw. The fried okra was cooked to perfection. The Cole slaw was a bit old. And by the time I got home not as cold. I gotta have cold Cole slaw. Other than that. It was all really good!

Why are the spicy chicken smaller and overcooked? The regular ones looked much better. Also, okra seemed like maybe it's been cooked twice, very dark color.

Got the 2 PC Fish combo. The fish filets were big, perfectly seasoned, and not greasy. Very good fish. Mac n cheese was good as well. I didn't care much for the hush puppies, though. They were too sweet and just tasted like mushy sweet corn

The African American that was waiting on the front she had her mask on but it wasn't covered her face or noise and I felt unsafe. The food was good. But she said something about my mask that i was wearing and i felt like i couldn't have free speech.

It's hard to rate a place that you frequent often because they have good days and bad. This particular time we had the fried fish and it was barely edible. Way too salty and the skin was rubbery. I have had their fish and it was great, so in not sure what happened this particular time. That's why I could only give 3 stars. However, they have the best rolls in town. Put some honey on them and they melt in your mouth.

Normally my experience is a solid 4.5 here, but don't know if it's the high temperature but the line was exceptionally slow today. Then the wait was rewarded with bottom of the barrel of the okra. For real guys if you aren't going to allow us to pull up to a spot to order then step up your drive thru game..

Waitress came to the car to let me know there would be a 15 minute wait for our food. I was fine with that. I asked if I could go ahead and get my drink while I waited and when she brought it I had to pay for my order to get it. As a longtime food worker myself, I thought that was a bit backwards but I went ahead and paid for my order. Then I get home and my order was not right. 😒

Come on! It's just a chickin stand! The lobby and bays were closed. The drive trough lane was taking up the slack from KFC close by. Apparently they had a power outage. The food was prepared well. I used to love it but lately they've been screwing up our orders several times we have gotten mashed potatoes instead of fries or we pay for extra roll and don't get it we ask for light ice and no gravy and they don't listen. If you don't take more care with people's orders it won't matter how good the chicken is they'll stop coming.

I’ve always love the store and their atmosphere and friendliness. However the other day the young lady at the register was staring off into space and didn’t acknowledge me at all. She looked at me like she was waiting for something so I said OK I would like a snack pack. She rang me up and then stared at me again. The chicken livers and gizzard are over cooked. They are tough as can be and you don't get fries with them. It should be served with fries and not ordered separately. They are also bland there is no seasoning on them plus you get 1 biscuits and gravy with it. The service was good though.

The chicken is great. This has to be one of the most Poorly run restaurants I have ever been to. Every time I go to their drive-through they tell me it’s going to be 15 minutes before my order is ready. Tonight I decided to wait. 25 minutes later they brought out my order. Twice I’ve had the idea to call ahead 20 minutes for my order. Both times when I arrived at the restaurant, they told me it would take another 15 minutes. Incredibly incompetent kitchen and Window staff. It’s a good thing they have a good location and good food. The incredibly poor service would kill Them otherwise.

This is, hands down, the worst Chicken Express I've ever been to. The fish was way over cooked as was the orkra. The mini poppers side comes with a whopping 3 pieces. The tea was outstanding so there's that. The dining room looked ok at first until you try to find a table. 90% were dirty. Then we waited 15 minutes for our food. We won't come back here again.

I love Chicken Express gizzards. Unfortunately I have never been to the one in Longview since I recently moved here. I ordered my regular order and it came out so fast impressive! But not! My gizzards were cold and hard. They look like little black marbles. I even asked the girl if they were fresh I don't know if it was sarcasm but she said yes I made them myself. I guess that should have been my first clue. I love Chicken Express I hope this isn't the norm.

I tried this location one more time in hopes it would be better. Last time they forgot my rolls. This time they messed up my order and the girl at the window was very confrontational about it. The food once I got home was subpar and some of the chicken strips were just pieces of other chicken strips. There are at least 4 other chicken strip places that are within 5 minutes of this one. I'll go to any of those over this location from now on.

Had a taste for chicken gizzard. Went to Chicken Express ordered chicken gizzard, the first couple of bites were ok. The more I ate the more I tasted grease. The gizzard were too greasy. I wouldn't recommend the gizzards.

We got there 30 mintues before close. We sat there for 5 minutes after they took he car ahead of us order. After that we drove up to window a gentleman comes to window and opens it. Proceeds to tell us that he is the head cook and he won't be cooking anymore chicken. Really 25 minutes to close and your not cooking anymore chicken because you has a baseball team come in. Sounded more like he was done working than anything. We drove 20 minutes one way for that.

I have been disrespected before, i figured a teenager had a bad day. No. I was just highly disrespected. There were no customers there ( indoor and out ) and i had to keep pushing the button because they kept shutting it off. No worries, they will no longer get my service.....used to get a lot..

Not happy at all!!! Nothing express about it!! After being in line for over 20 mins still had to question my order. And made me late for work. Thought that would be a good place to stop on my way to work being it should be fast. NOPE.

I was lead to leave a review unfortunately, due to poor customer service, lack of speed and just pure forgetfulness. I thought to let this slide since its Easter and not post my review. However, Jesus rose up and so I did too. I purchased the #1 meal and had to wait. There were approximately 4 to 5 cars behind me in line waiting. This was in drive thru as well. The cashier approached my vehicle with the wrong order. I informed her that this order was not mine. She proceeded to go back and get my order. However, when she came back out, she passed my car and delivered orders to the guests behind me. Wow. I was in shock. I then decided to just request to get my money back. Everyone else received their orders before I did. I asked the cashier was there a problem but, she offered no explanation. I understand these things happen at times. But at least offer an explanation or some sort of empathy. I asked to speak with a manager and received the same treatment.

It takes them forever to fill your order and then it's never right. I order 3-piece fish got two they can't count either. cost me $17 for two pieces of fish and two pieces of chicken no straws no silverware no napkins. Very frustrating to get home and they not filled your order right usually they leave out the mashed potatoes are the coleslaw sometimes I leave out both of them. Visited again today they didn't put my mashed potatoes in why can't they ever get it right?

Nobody had masks on. My second time coming through the drive through, and could see all the employees working without wearing one. The young WOC with braids at the register had her mask hanging on her chin while speaking to me. Unacceptable behavior when people are dying because of this virus. I liked this place, but it is not a safe environment anymore. Not coming here again.

So disappointed in this place, I ordered the gizzards with fries and literally the bottom of the box was cover with oil...All the food was swimming in oil, probably the oil is too hot and they don't take the time to shake the grease out, it should be against the law to feed this to a human being.....Talk about a heart attack in a box!!!! SO DISGUSTING!!!!! . I will NEVER eat at this place again or recommend it to anybody!!!!

Well my husband and I went there on 5/01/20 at 9:01pm. We placed our order with the cashier. We both ordered a fish basket. We waited and waited. We notice that people that had ordered way after us was receiving there orders. I understand it was busy. We waited for an whole hour for them to tell my husband that they had closed down everything. My husband told the manager that someone had taken our order. All the manager said was he was sorry and that's it! We never had a bad experience like we did on tonight. We all ways come to the Chicken Express on Judson Rd., Longview, Tx. Great Customer Service is a big deal to me. If it was not for great paying customers they would not have a job. I pray that the general manager will see this. Shaking my head! I am very disappointed!

I don't understand if I ask for my food to be fresh and you say ok. I believe we have an understanding.. Instead I get cold fries old and warm chicken.. Why lie!! Clearly have to catch you guys at the right time.. So please what's the time frame? Definitely, not fresh all the time like you suppose to be. At least my cup of ice was refreshing!🙄

This is was my last visit to this place. Their service & food have consistently gone down hill. We ordered sweet tea, received unsweet. And the chicken was so old & cold that it was absolutely inedible!!! So total & complete waste of money. Not to mention the rude employees!!! We called up there to see if we could come back & actually get edible food. They finally answered, put me on hold & just never came back on the line. Very disappointing.

DO NOT GO - HORRIBLE SERVICE!!! We sat and waited patiently for our order (for only two people) for ~15 minutes and finally called in and asked what was up. The very unenthusiastic (why is everyone commenting and saying they're all so happy?!?!) said they were waiting for chicken, because the cook had to go to the bathroom (there's only one person who can cook chicken there?! What about the manager, because apparently he was there - see more later). So we waited ANOTHER ~10 minutes and called BACK, because we kept seeing people go in and out and what looked like about a dozen people working there. He said was gonna check for us, came back, & said "our manager says it'll be another 4-5 minutes." Call me crazy, but half an hour for some fried chicken at a fast food joint is insane. We cancelled our order to a half-assed at best "sorry 'bout that..." and left, they didn't even offer to comp it. I really think now that the good reviews of this place must be the employees and management.

If i could give them a negative 5 i would. I frequent this establishment so much that they know my number. Everyday i call to get my food dropped fresh... It takes about 5-10 tries to get them on the line. Ive shown the managers my call logs and have told them to figure out why my calls are on my call log but they dont see the calls. The restaurant closes at 10. I called BEFORE 930 to get my food dropped. THEY DID NOT ANSWER TIL AFTER 935. i was told that after 930 they do not drop fresh food. BUT ITS NOT MY FAULT THAT U DIDNT ANSWER UR PHONE. the managers aaaand employees need a refresher on CUSTOMER SERVICE and ill be more than happy to teach it

I used to be a person who would suggest chicken express as a great place to eat. NOT anymore!!! The food is over priced and under delivered. The Staff is rude and horrible. I will not be eating there nor recommending them to anyone. This place used to be busy, the staff was friendly and the atmosphere was clean and bright. Changes in staff (RUDE ONES) makes or breaks a restaurant. It is sad to see this place turned into a dump. IF YOU DONT LIKE YOUR JOB THAN QUIT !!!

This is my second horrible experience with this location. The first resulted in me getting the manager because the young lady in the drive thru window was very rude. The manager got everything squared away and I wasn’t trying to be judgmental over one bad incident. Tonight was the deal breaker for me. The same young lady was bringing food out the side door tonight in the drive thru was playing keep away with my tea because she thought it was funny while I waited with my family in the car. I hope you run back the cameras if you think it’s a lie. Then after I entered the building she laughed and rolled her eyes at me as if it was a game. Told them both am too old for games find someone else. I will NEVER I repeat NEVER go to this location ever again and tell everyone that I know not to come! For the 3rd time visiting, Our order is incorrect/not input when we get to the window. We waited 10min at the window before being told to pull forward. Meanwhile, we didn’t receive our change or a receipt. Another 10mins goes by and I go in. We ordered a family size fried pickle and 2 sweet teas. We never received any of our order including Drinks. When I went in nothing had been prepared not even the drinks. I asked for the manager and a refund. He walked away for 5mins and came back with my refund, No apologies expressed.

This was in the drive thru….. the young man had quite a bad attitude, Tenders were very small and been around awhile……this was so disappointing! Three chicken breasts: tough meat, the coating was bland and old, apparently had been kept under the warmer for quite a while. The biscuits were like hockey pucks! Only thing worth eating was the coleslaw. Prices are increasing…..why is quality and service decreasing? My husband used to love Chicken Express but We will never go there again.

My mother wanted one thing to eat after going almost 24 hours of not eating while being in the hospital and that was a biscuit and we picked them up got back to the hospital to find rolls in the box and not the biscuit she wanted which was disappointing to her. Needless to say I’m not happy with them and by the time we would get back the store would be closed. I recommend checking your food before leaving or better yet going to another restaurant for your dining.

I went to the chicken Express on Judson road on Sunday. I purchased 82.97 worth of chicken and fish. The fish was fried in dirty grease. It was dark it was hard and they gave me 4 chicken. Breast looked like they was left over from last week. But the thing of it IS IS when I call the store and I asked you to speak to a manager on Sunday. She said she would have someone to call me back. And they never did but when I called today and I got Jason. He kept making excuses not to even make it right. I wasn't asking for anything back. You know, except the acknowledgment and maybe a discount at a later on purchase. But he just made excuses so I wouldn't recommend that I give it no stars

Absolutely worst experience in a fast food establishment…. The one in Henderson when Charlie owned it was delicious but the one here his son has is disgusting…. I ordered a box of 8 pieces and got more grease than anything the chicken was old and when called to ask about maybe coming up and getting fresh I was told they don’t do that !!! I explained I ordered okra and mash and instead I got fries and mash .. just unhappy either way… the teens up there are so unaware!!!! This is a shame since chicken express is very good but not here … gotta say the tea was on point so that is the only good
