Very welcoming. We tried super and chile relleno burrito, tasty. Generous with extra salsa on the side. Four types.
Got the verde enchiladas which were great! This place is much better than a lot of other places in the South Bay. They have a lot of vegetarian options and the ingredient they use are quality. They weren’t open tonight so we had to order elsewhere and I very much regret that decision. Great place, give it a try!
Amazing food. I personally am currently ovolactovegetarian, and had chilaquiles, chimichanga, tostada, and tacos at this place. All were very good. Street corn needs to be mixed before eating -- all the seasoning is at the top.
My family's go-to place for a good quick dinner. We have also used LuLu's to cater events at our local elementary school, and they have been fantastic.
Lulus is the best food ever! me and my daughter go every single chance we get. The street tacos are me and my daughters favorite and the staff is always so friendly
The food is great! There are many salsa options, but they often ask "salsa?" as a yes/no question, so be aware. (There used to be a self-serve salsa bar pre pandemic.) The chips are super-thick - different people feel different ways about that.
Great vegan burrito! Nice outside tables in full shade at noon.
When they get busy they forget many items, so make sure you check your bag to make sure everything is in there before you leave (we were missing two meals). The manager was very kind and apologetic and made things right, which is why I’m giving 5 stars! Food is tasty. Staff are friendly.
The place is clean and we'll lit. Ordered the Pastor which they have noted on the menu board as a family recipe so I wanted to try it. It was great! The price was typical of a Taqueria. They have an assortment of drinks as well. Overall, this is a good place to get a tasty quick meal.
Popular neighborhood taqueria. Seating is available both inside and outside. Highly recommended.
Had a lunch with whole family at a beautiful fall noon. Leaves were all yellow and red. The view is nice and sunshine was warm. Great place to hang out, relax and enjoy a peaceful lunch time with family.

Awesome food, quick pick up, fabulous as always
I had a great experience overall. I ordered a soup to-go, and when I arrived to charge my car, i picked the bag up and the soup container at the bottom broke due to the hot temperature and the flimsy Tupperware. Thankfully, I was able to call Myra, and she handled the situation wonderfully—she assured me they would make it right. I truly appreciate their prompt and friendly service. I would recommend double-cupping the soup next time to prevent any future spills. Thank you for turning my experience around and for your excellent customer care! appreciate it and i finally got to eat something 🤗 there chicken soup was very yummy reminds me of how my tia in Mexico make it I sub the brown rice for Mexican rice for more authenticity Thank you so much and there spiciest salsa Was yummy And the chips and the beans and guac
Literally the most perfect burrito with the nicest staff! The super al pastor burrito is 11/10 and everyone must try it once!!
The al pastor tacos are insanely flavorful and addicting + the 4 salsas provide a great variety. I'm a huge cilantro fan, and our food tasted super fresh and was very well made. They charge about ~20 cents extra to take out instead of dine-in. Very clean bathrooms as well!
Pulled off the highway to get gas and walked around town to stretch our legs. Came across Lulu’s and had to stop (my son’s name). Food was amazing! Tons of gluten free options!! Service was fantastic! Would recommend!
We reached 10 minutes before closing. They were super welcoming. The burrito is great, super veggie and with chile relleno inside. We asked for extra salsas, they brought one of each type for each of us, right to the table. Food is tasty. We will visit again to try other items on the menu. Both rice and beans are without animal fat.

Relaxed casual Mexican food spot. Fish taco and burrito are the must. Friendly staff and good service. I like the self service water station with reusable plastic cups. Parking can be difficult during high lunch time.
Dependable and tasty fast food place. My go-to is the all pastor burrito, but lots of other good options. Priced a bit above type fast food.
Service was OK but considering the circumstances of the Covid shutdown it was to be considered. The food was fresh but for the price, I hate eating out of to go boxes. Sorry, no photos. We ate it too fast!!
Finally had a chance to try LuLu's. Well I like my burritos from the Mission in SF so I have been skeptical. Overall is was pretty good. I will call it an authentic health conscience burrito. Was flavorful and a good size. But you could tell the food was cooked "healthy". Very acceptable price is right along with other places in the area.
Visited more than once, several different meal combos before reviewing....food lacked depth and savor. Guacamole barely noticeable.....hurray for their salsas to add some flavor to otherwise bland presentations. Pricey for grab and go items......Consequently, I would give 3 stars, but my heart goes out to them as they keep open with other restaurants during these rough economic times.
I have been living in California for 18 years, with my husband on weekends we go to different areas and Los Altos is one of my favorites. We had lunch and stayed for coffee. Yesterday we tried this colorful place: The interior is very warm, there is order, the guys from the staff are very attentive and professional. I ordered chips and salsa and two salads and we sat outside on the wide terrace on the street to wait for the order, when I went to get it, what a pleasant surprise: the salads are huge, also delicious. It has many tables with umbrellas, the wifi is powerful and reaches well outside, by the way the key is Burritos =D the atmosphere was calm and the service was fast. It opens at 9:30 a.m. every day and from Sunday to Wednesday it closes at 8:00 a.m. Thursday to Saturday it closes at 8:30 p.m. Surely on my next visit to Los Altos I will return to this place. I highly recommend it. Update: Today we went for the second time for another great lunch with my husband, there were quite a few people in the line before me, finally a very nice guy took my order - Lulu chopped Salad al Pastor and Beef Taquitos- he told me that it would be ready in 10 minutes. As it was a short time I stayed inside the place and noticed that he took orders by phone too and they accumulated until there were so many that the delivery of our lunch took almost 40 minutes. It's a shame because the food is very tasty.
Everything is good and fresh here. Ordered Enchilada here and it was very fresh. Only thing I wouldn’t order again here is their sweet corn, was super cheesy for me

UPDATE 9/2025: I've eaten here many times over the past few years. I usually have a great experience as someone who is gluten-intolerant and comes from a family of people with Celiac Disease. They have many gluten-free options, and they usually do a good job of handling that. One suggestion I would make is for them to add a gluten-free sticker to the orders for people who have mentioned they have an allergy. It can be a little bit anxiety-inducing to wonder if the employees truly got that message or not, especially when eating the gluten-free burrito, which is so good you have to wonder sometimes whether they made a mistake and gave you the normal glutenous version. Other restaurants put a sticker or other clear marker on the gluten-free food, so you don't have to worry about it. As for negative experiences here, there's my original review below, and there was one other time I ate here and got stomach sick afterwards. Also, one time the lady running the cashier station absolutely insisted that brown rice isn't gluten-free, that it's actually gluten. I kept trying to explain to her that this wasn't true, but she insisted it was because apparently the word for it in Spanish means gluten or something (according to her). So training here could definitely be improved. My last nitpick is the price. Roughly $20 for a burrito is a LOT of money. I know that food is expensive these days, but that price keeps me from eating here more often. I can get a gluten-free meal from Asian Box or Chipotle for a similar price, but for like twice the amount of food (usually ends up being 2 meals for me). I can get a gluten-free sandwich from Erik's Deli for around $12. So $20 for a burrito is a lot, and it will remain just an occasional special treat. ORIGINAL REVIEW (2024): I usually eat here and enjoy the food, but this time I walked out without ordering after I saw the employee in charge of food prep using her phone with her gloved hands and then use the same gloves to touch the tortillas and other food she was preparing. That’s a health code violation and is just generally gross.
Great food selection except they don't have tofu! The chicken rice soup is so delicious and healthy and when asked to replace chicken with tofu, since they didn't have it they let me replace with black beans which made it even better. I've had the veggies mini super burrito also as a bowl...yummy with great price

My girlfriend and I both got dishes with chicken. My chicken was cubed and plain, completely 100% unseasoned and plain, like the kind that comes out of a can. Her Enchiladas came put great, but my "signature" super burrito did not. How do you forget to prep a main ingredient?!
Nothing special about their food. All restaurants had to go through the challenges of adapting to the Covid restrictions but this place seem to have adapted a bit less. Had to ask for forks, go back in to ask for salsa/spicy sauce, missed order (soda), etc.
My food was fine but my friend got the huevos rancheros and it was by far one of the most unappetizing things I've seen. In The Simpsons Season 4 Episode 1, there's a seen where they serve all of the kids immitation gruel rather than real gruel, that's essentially what his food looked like. They had good salsa though and had them labeled oh so kindly to let my white taste buds know which ones were hot and which ones were mild
I'm giving this three stars instead of two because I think I visited when they must have had substitute kitchen staff. Simple salad took 15 minutes when the restaurant was not busy. And they forgot the main ingredient (roast chicken). Basically lettuce with canned beans.
The food is good, but they are so so slow. I’ve never waited so long for a burrito, and they’re aren’t that many people waiting. Definitely order ahead, and when they say it’ll be 30 minutes to make a burrito, they mean it.
I think the food here tastes great. The ingredients are fresh and they make their own tortillas. However, they have some issues with service and we are looking for another mexican restaurant. Specifically, although I repeat our order multiple times to double check, they've got something wrong more times than they have it right. For example chicken instead of beef, soft instead of crispy tacos. And on our last visit, our order of 4 entrees took 45 minutes.
Lulu's catered an event for me and everyone loved the food -- esp. Mexican food fans. However, I am a bit picky and didn't really love it nor was I overly impressed by the on-site dining in Los Altos. The ingredients are fresh, but the burrito was beyond soggy and the various salsas not very distinct. I don't get to rate the food for some reason, but I'd call it "good" -- and that might be a little generous. Very nice service.
If you want Lulu's, this location is nice and clean. We recommend the street tacos and shrimp tacos, although you do have to spit out the shells. The tail ends are not well removed, and sometimes the black vein is left in. We have also tried the carne asada and pollo asado, al pastor and they are hit or miss. Some days bad cuts cooked dry, full of gristle, some days tender and grilled well. They do change up the toppings, they used to be classic in their toppings but recently our order was doused in orange and white creamy sauces, just like their fish and shrimp tacos. The fish tacos tend to have a lot of bones so we stopped ordering. Both the shrimp and fish tacos can be a tad fishy, depending on the day. Dine-in can be loud/energetic during warmer months, they do have tables outside that we haven't tried. During colder months we can only do takeout, it's freezing indoors. Takeout can be messy. Do check you got salsas, napkins, utensils.
Over priced, paid $31 for a plate of enchiladas and then one alcoholic drink. Food is decent but it could be better, and they could at least give you chips and salsa without charging

I used to go to Lulu's and liked it a lot. But I've been twice since the pandemic and I stand in line for fifteen minutes though I'm only third in line. The cashier takes two orders on the phone for every one who is there in person, and then s/he spends twice that time prepping the takeout orders. As I crawl guests in line I watch other parties standing around interminably waiting for their orders. This is clearly now a takeout place.
Have tried food here on several occasions but always found it just adequate, but last time was really annoying because the cheese in nachos and cheese was all stuck to the bottom! The chips were overcooked. Overpriced IMO but perhaps not for Los Altos. Service is nothing exceptional. Def not authentic food.

Not a very friendly place, but the food is pretty good. They don't bring food to the table, but they expect a tip. Not worth taking a picture, didn't even do it.
The chips were cold and terrible, the taquitos were horrible, a side of guacamole is $$, the hot sauce was served thimble sized. Overpriced and lacking. lol

My take out lunch came with a very long black hair in it. Was in my mourh pulled it out and saw a ling black hair. Went back and returned the food and was given a refund but thats it. Was in my first bite so entire meal was returned. They should have remade it and given refund. Won't ever eat here again. Their process alows for hair in your food.
Extremely rude front service. Kicked me out because I had a service dog with me and simply stepped inside to ask for the menu; my intent was to sit outside but the person at the front refused to even talk except screaming g at me “get out”. No respect for customers, not even basic courtesy. Waited 10 min until someone came out to ask me what I wanted, no menu still. I ordered a burrito without looking at the menu. Waited another 10 min. Finally someone came out outside and threw a burrito at me in the brown bag; no apology, not even acknowledging their rude behavior and a complete dysfunction in operations.
I placed an order for my family using their online app, caviar or something. They charged me and sent a confirmation email, but when I got there they didn't show my order anywhere. Not a problem, it was 4:45pm and the light parade didn't start until 6. I sat my family down and ordered at the counter and then put in a ticket to have the online order charge reversed. I waited, with a family of 6, for an hour and 19 minutes for my order of 4 burritos and a cheese quesodilla. I was late to the parade, my kids eating while standing on the curb, and to top it off they put sour cream on my burrito when I specifically requested none. The food is fine, but do yourself a favor and never go here when they're crowded or you're in a rush.
Not my favorite lulus service here is third-rate seems like the girls are more worry on their looks spending too much time chating or at the restroom food is always taking so long to be prepare. I really miss when this place was a family restaurant now has become a place to avoid
Skip this place. Rude, arrogant staff. Terrible value, I refuse to pay $15 for a regular, nondescript burrito. I would be happy to pay that if it were amazing...it's not. They don't even give you chips anymore with the meal. The one brightspot? Salsa is good.
Reasonable quality food but terrible service and ordering (particularly via phone). Every single time I have ordered over the phone there has been at least one if not more errors. Unfortunately these aren’t small errors. The first time I got all wrapped burritos instead of bowls. The second time the restaurant added beef to a vegetarian bowl. The third time the restaurant made vegetarian bowls with just salsa beans rice and cheese. No veggies no guacamole (but charged). Todays final straw for me was the addition of pork to a non pork meal. I really want to like this restaurant but the errors are hard to stomach. Literally. Don’t bother asking management for refunds or a replacement. I was told by the manager they don’t do this. Im being forced to open a dispute with my credit card company now. While I applaud the owner for the seemingly friendly reply below. Please note that there’s no method provided to contact management and provide additional information. Great PR though.
I ordered a burrito here. They got my order wrong. Also, I didn’t wait to eat it so I expected it to be pretty fresh and it wasn’t. The meat was really dry and the burrito was cold. It also seemed like they burnt the meat because parts of it were black. There was a ton of guacamole in it and not really much of anything else (rice, beans, meat, etc.) unfortunately, I wasted my money. Los Pericos in Santa Cruz makes the best burritos far better than what they serve here.
I ordered a grilled veggie burrito bowl and this is what I got. Even a side salad or fries come in larger quantity than this joke! What a ridiculously bad place to try. The taste was also bland, would never ever pay a dime to this place again!

Extremely disappointed in their approach to the their regular customers. I placed an order on Uber Eats and accidentally canceled it. I called the restaurant in less than 2 minutes and they didn’t want to help. I was promised to get a call from the manager and also no call back. I will never order again even though I ordered many times in the past. All they did was just blaming Uber Eats and nobody wanted to take responsibility for an adequate resolution. I was charged almost a hundred percent for no food and no order. I paid 39$ for my error.
I ordered the fajita burrito with shrimp and chicken. There is only three shrimp in the entire burrito it was so soggy that I couldn't eat the bottom half of it because it had fallen apart. I ordered the chips and salsa and the salsa was still partially frozen. The chips were burnt and stale. My lunch cost me $31 without even ordering a drink. Don't eat here. I was highly disappointed.
