Fully vegan restaurant with a decently large menu! As everyone recommends, ask for spicy (even if the item is already marked as spicy). Their Thai ice tea is also really good. Don’t miss their black pepper vegan chicken (E11)!
Such a wonderful place! The food was so wonderful that we came back again the next evening (we dont live nearby) All these were excellent: Garlic chau fun Black pepper chicken Vg duck Thai tea Pot sticker Vg goose Won ton Orange chicken Garlic fish (although it didn't taste like garlic, more like sweet and sour...) Pineapple coconut smoothie Beef with broccoli Lemon chicken was nice The one thing i thought was blend was the hot and sour soup, but my wife did love it Some things were very creative, like the duck (made from shitake mushrooms!) and the fish (made from tofu skin, wrapped in seaweed). Service is smiley and good (except that in the 1st evening we got the mains before the starters...) Coming back here, easily!
We had the kung pao VG chicken and orange peel VG steak. Both items were great - special mention for the latter! Been here a few times over the years and been generally happy with the food. The service was the fastest I can remember in a long time. The interiors were quite cozy without being fancy, and the soft music in the background made for a friendly, easygoing vibe that you'd hope for from a business in your neighborhood.
Decent wok hey in their fried rice, chow fun, chow mien, other dishes. Most dishes are great! Especially Basil Chow Fun, it's sooooo goooood. Even the plain vegetable fried rice was fragrant (but clearly meant to be ordered with other entrees, it's lightly seasoned) But their sweet and sour sauce tastes pretty bad, like a vinegar that was very artificially enhanced with some badly developed flavors. So I recommend against anything sweet and sour-fried. Some deep fried foods come with that sauce too. The tofu fries came with a sweet plum sauce which doesn't have the strange taste, and honestly their other deep fried foods taste great on their own and doesn't need the sauce.
Our family had an amazing time at this vegan Chinese restaurant. From the moment we arrived, we were welcomed with warm hospitality and a cozy, inviting atmosphere. The menu was full of tempting plant-based options, and every dish we tried was bursting with flavor, beautifully presented, and made with fresh ingredients. Even our non-vegan family members were impressed by how delicious and satisfying everything was. The service was outstanding—friendly, attentive, and happy to offer great recommendations. It was the perfect setting for a relaxed family evening, and we left feeling full, happy, and already planning our next visit. A must-try spot for anyone who enjoys exceptional food, vegan or not!
Veggie garden is an outstanding, small, vegan focused diner with all sorts of options for anyone. The staff is accommodating kind and insanely quick. The food is amazing, flavorful and fresh. I don't know why the previous reviewer was complaining about lack of flavor. Just tell them you want it extra spicy. It will come with flavor, trust me. Signed, a spice head from Tucson.
Veggie Garden is one of my absolute favorite vegan Chinese spots, and it’s a place I keep going back to. One of the best parts is that they can customize everything for allergies and even cater to my Jain dietary restrictions (no onions, no garlic, no potatoes). Since it’s fully vegan, there’s never any concern about hidden ingredients. I’ve tried a good variety of dishes here, but my favorites are: • Spring Rolls • Vegan Hunan Tofu • Vegan Orange Chicken • Gobi Manchurian • Green Thai Curry • Basil Eggplant • Basil Fried Rice I even love passion fruit juice and vegan chocolate raspberry pastry that they offer here. Every dish is flavorful, satisfying, and made with care. Highly recommend this place whether you’re vegan, Jain, or just someone who loves delicious plant-based food! 🌱🍜
Vast menu of vegan Chinese food. Sweet & sour pork had great sauce but meh fake meat, basil eggplant and tofu was excellent, scallion pancakes were crisp and tasty, pot stickers and spring rolls were good, and the vegetable fried rice was truly outstanding. Service was prompt and efficient. Atmosphere very informal with soothing soft music in the background. I’ll definitely go back again.
This restaurant is a great find for vegan Chinese food in the Bay Area. Their menu is full food options, from appetizers to main course to desserts. The taste is out of the world! And the service is very fast. The servers are kind and the prices are reasonably good. I highly recommend you try this place and bet you will love it!
Bang for your buck experience here at Veggie Garden. 🍛Food is awesome, 🎯Serving is HUMONGOUS, 💳Prices are reasonable 📣Servers are quick and attentive Definitely all ✔️✔️✔️ I had the Mapo Tofu lunch special, it comes with noodles and rice. I could not resist the Thai Iced Tea. Will definitely come back for more.
I was trying to have some good vegan food and just happened to cross path with this place. It was an absolute delight to eat here. I ordered a hot and sour soup, vegetarian pot stickers, vegetarian chicken noodles. All the dishes lived up to their expectations. There was only one lady serving, possible the owner. She attends you well, serves you very well. The service is very fast and good. I highly recommend trying this vegan place.
Amazing vegan restaurant in mountain view. Have been there couple of times. I mostly have green curry, this time thought of something different which was nice too. Tried black pepper chicken and kimchi fried rice. Wonton soup is okay honestly, good to skip. Tofu fries is decent. Service is pretty fast. They directly serve is Togo boxes even if you dine in. Plenty of parking space. Friendly service
Great place for vegetarians and vegans. The food quality did not impress us as much as th previous times (over a year ago), but it is still a solid place for vegan fare. The passion fruit fizzy drink is very good, even if a tad too sweet. I think the Golbi Mongolian cauliflower is over hyped. Look at other items in the menu. The tofu "fries" are a lot better than the salt and pepper tofu.
As a vegan I was very excited to try this place. But in reality the food was very bland. We ordered 4 dishes and I only enjoyed the crispy chicken. The sauce was too industrial though. Even the chocolate cake was dry, I didn't get to try it but my kids said that my simple chocolate cake I make at home is much better. Unfortunately we won't come back but I'm happy to see that many people like the place. For reference, we all agreed that Ginger Cafe is Sunnyvale is much better. It's not a vegan restaurant but their vegan dishes are excellent. Also we came on a hot day and the AC was off, it wasn't very pleasant. I understand they want to save on electricity bill but they should at least have fans.
Had high hopes for this place but I was a bit disappointed. The menu is extensive and I had fun picking out some of my favorite dishes. However I ordered sesame chicken and it just tasted like sweet and sour chicken. Didn’t look very appetizing either. The wontons were mentioned to be in chili oil but they were drizzled with a sweet sauce that overpowered the dish. It was giving fusion vibes and not in a good way. Then I had a side salad and all together with rest of my dishes, the restaurant was just… all over the place. I can’t give the cuisine here any real identity, which makes the flavor profiles weak. The beef and broccoli was the best thing but it had the fake meat taste that made it really hard to enjoy. Sauce was tasty though. I want to return and give it another try, but for first impressions, I’d say go in with lower expectations
The experience here from start to finish was pretty odd, and the service was bad. Menus weren't brought to us for a long time, they apologized when they eventually gave the menus to us. The restaurant was nearly empty aside from one other table, but everything was slow. We weren't checked in on at all during the meal. When we ordered, the waitress was very confused and unfamiliar with the menu. I assumed she was new, but then we received the same confusing service from all staff. We were randomly brought French fries that we didn't order, and then that kept happening with various other menu items The veggies in all the dishes were cold and tasted watery, unseasoned, and like they had been frozen. Scallion pancakes had no scallions in them at all. Basil eggplant dish had no basil at all. Smoothie wasn't blended properly: all ice at the bottom, and only a super sweet watery liquid would come through the straw. It tasted like the same overly-processed sauce was on every dish, nothing felt fresh. The kimchi rice was a good menu item, but it didn't really taste like kimchi. Just seasoned rice. Appetizer and drinks were brought out after we finished everything. A staff member tried to argue with us when we wanted to send something back. When we paid and thanked them, they didn't say a word to us or even look in our direction, and didn't give us a customer copy of the receipt.
