The place is under new management or changes its name. Look for Duchess Service was good and no issues with taking my order or the food received. Food was great. The quality of the chicken was amazing and the sandwich was massive. Lots of options for donut flavors - recommend the pistachio lemon

Loved everything I tried here. First, and foremost, as you walk into the shop, the first thing you will see are these beautiful donuts, waiting for a kind heart to take them home 😁 I tried their breakfast burrito and it was spectacular. Their heat level did not disappoint, the quality of ingredients used was fresh and delicious! Also, tater tots are life and Birdies knows how to meet expectations on this front. Their donuts were exquisite and I thoroughly enjoyed their variety, which includes horchata and bacon-maple flavoured donuts. Their coffee offers are solid and, the most important thing is that everyone I interacted with was friendly, welcoming and very proactive. I loved my experience here and can't recommend it enough. Lastly, this place, like many places in LA, is pet-friendly 💜

These are some of the fluffiest donuts I have ever tasted! I'm from Texas, and clearly, these are some of the biggest donuts I have ever consumed. The glazed donut alone is not too sweet and is not too overwhelming. Better believe I am looking for amazing hidden breakfast nooks. The Arnold Palmer is not your usual style. Mostly lemonade but still is not overpowered by sweetness from the tea. The Drip Coffee offers great balance to the glazed donut. It is ready to drink and the perfect temperature. The Maple donut as an awesome has real bacon on it! The bacon is very juicy and has an amazing smoked flavor added to it. I'm not certain if it's Applewood or not. I could be wrong. However, I am not wrong with it being delicious. Chocolate covered donut with Halloween colored sprinkles. Classic chocolate covered donut but fluffier. Overall, for my review, for this local hangout, you can not go wrong with the available menu. I do wish we tried the other breakfast options and full food menu. I will have to come back and get more donuts and food for next time.

Most delicious chicken sandwich which was on point with the level of spicy 🌶️ per hubby. Kid approved gourmet chicken nuggets. Unique donut flavors. Excellent customer service. Limited seating options.

In DTLA, this is probably one of the best donut shops around with other menu items available outside of pastries. I did the 6 for $20 special and got the assorted. They were all really good and fresh. The cloud cappuccino was also a great drink but I ordered it less sweet. The best donut of the bunch was definitely the Nutella filled one. Each one had its own unique and spectacular flavor. I’d definitely come back here again and try their fried chicken. I highly recommend this spot and be aware that parking is limited to the street.

Birdies is one of My fave spots to catch a quick, affordable bite when I'm in DTLA. They make an excellent chicken; juicy, flaky breading, nice crunch. Shoestring fries are nice and simple. Plus, if you si desire they have Bomb donuts to grub on. It's especially good on the weekends. Fridays and Saturdays they stay open til 3 am.

Small shop in LA where people gather for mouth-watering and affordable chicken sandwiches. The original burger they offered had such a generous portion of fried chicken between the brioche buns. The sandwich contained cheese, coleslaw, pickles, and a good amount of sauce to pair all of the ingredients together. It'll be messy eating, but that's how you know it'll be a delicious meal. Still not enough for you? Add on a side of fries that has a big enough portion that puts fast food restaurants to shame. Now, burgers and fries isn't the only reason this place is so popular. They also offer a nice selection of donuts that you can admire as you're heading further into the shop. I got my hands on a pistachio lemon thyme donut. At first I doubted I was going to be able to finish a donut after all that chicken and fries. However, my first bite into that soft donut left me surprised and astonished. Not only was the donut soft, the flavoring wasn't too powerful. The best way I could describe this donut is that it was refreshing and pleasant with every bite; a great option as a dessert after all that delectable food.

Accidentally came during their happy hour. Got their chicken jr sando ($3.50), banana cream donut ($4.25), and horchata donut ($3). Everything was pretty average. The chicken sando was like a mini Chick-fil-A and Popeyes sando combined. Their donuts were light and fluffy and not dry but very light in flavor. Mostly just tasted like sugar. Workers were very nice tho.

Superb, friendly customer service plus they offer samples to try the donut flavors. Small minimalist black & white interior, regular fresh hand made donuts with inventive toppings. I didn't try the free-range chicken sandwich but it looked delicious. I had the maple bacon and the cinnamon toast donut, both were delicious.

First and last time here. Ordered a classic glazed donut, which shows $2 in the display case. Register says 10% off of paying by cash. Donut rings up at $2.25, I paid cash and no discount adjustment nor did the counter gal correct it when I brought it up. Literally shrugged her shoulders as if to say, “Oh well, too late, price is wrong and I didn’t give you a cash discount. Donut itself was good. Place is dumpy with cheap signs plastered on the wall as if they got lazy with the name change and rebranding.

This place felt like a little league concession being run by junior high kids who have never worked in a restaurant in their life. Birdies may have been a good place (I never went) but it seems to have shut down and is "reopened" as Duchess. Duchess was a horrible experience and the food was terrible to mid at best. The staff, while very polite, did not seem like they knew how to run a restaurant. We had to repeat our order several times and they still forgot something. The chicken breading was inconsistently fried and flavorless. The cheese on my sandwich had cooled & hardened by the time it got to me. We basically only ate the fries, and they were just okay. The donut was also mid. Definitely nothing like pictures of it I'm seeing in reviews from a while back. The hot chocolate was just a gigantic cup of steamed milk with a tiny splash of syrup added at the end. It wasn't even mixed in. Basically, it seems like someone has tried to revamp this recently closed restaurant and they're doing a terrible job of it so far. Oh, and we couldn't see a health inspection rating anywhere.
