When you first walk in, you see a big open space and many tables all around. The food came pretty fast was surprisingly hot and presentable. All of the food was really delicious and the waiters were very friendly and nice. Overall, we had a really good dinner! You should check it out!
Omg!!!! This has got to be the best Chinese food in China Town. I love Chinese food. I have tried many Chinese restaurants. But the food here is is fresh and so tastee delicious. Everything cooked to perfection and well seasoned. It looks empty. But don't let it scare you. Come on in and savor the best food in LA.
Beautiful place to eat in China town. We had great food, clean restrooms, and friendly staff. Recommend if you are looking for good filling food. We definitely be back when in LA
Came here on Christmas and even though they were slammed I had the best experience! Staff were wonderful and it’s officially the best food I’ve had in LA.
*Can you believe they got my order wrong and it was still amazing.* I order something completely different and Im not sure how I ended up with this order. Maybe I should have listened closer when she repeated back my order. Although my order ended up being really good. At first I was upset about the wrong order and decided to make the best of it and give it a try. Man let me tell you that’s some of the best fried rice I have ever had. The egg foo young was good and the gravy was probably the best I’ve had. The staff here are super quick and very friendly. Soon as I walked in they instantly tried to sit me at a table. I do feel kind of bad for the people that probably got my order because I’m sure they probably had go back and get their order corrected. Besides that I’m glad they messed up my order. I wish they would have made a mistake and tossed in some egg rolls!😂😂 I would highly suggest stopping by and giving this place a try. Just check your bag before you leave.
Went on the most busiest day …New Years and everything was just great!
One of the best Chinese restaurant in China town, used to be called plum tree restaurant, now it's Broadway. Their food is way better then the previous one. The prices are best during lunch special. Love the food they serve, very light and not greasy. The hot and sour soup was very good and very tasty. Beef steak was tender and favorable. I would highly recommend this restaurant, and would definitely come back to try other dishes.
Many years ago we took our little children then to visit our friends in LA and we went to the Plum Tree. This year we wanted to meet our friends again at this restaurant, but now it became Broadway Cuisine. We like the restaurant and food there before and now, the place is bigger and nicer if I recalled since our kids are all much older now. Our friends are older and their kids are all grown up. Nothing beats a nice reunion with the same great food. There are parking in the back which is nice. The prices are still reasonably inexpensive for the food they served. Our friends ordered all the dishes they liked like Mooshu pork, beef, lomein, Tsingtao and sapporo beer, and we had a feast. The wor wonton soup was excellent, the broth was just right with plenty of meat and shrimps, everyone liked it, just like before. The mooshu beef is quite different and tasty from what we used to "pork", we had both with extra pan cakes. The pan cakes here are quite big and thick compare to the one we eat at Hongkong near home. The shrimps in garlic sauce was so delicious and the chicken with fresh mushrooms and bamboo was excellent. All the fried rice dishes are excellent, from veggies, to pineapple to special. Everyone loved them, that's the most important thing. We had so much fun and hungry, we forgot to take pictures of individual dishes LOL. Next time when we visit. The service here is very attentive and pleasant. These ladies are actually had great sense of humor which make the ordering fun.
Broadway Cuisine is conveniently located right across the subway station. There is ample seating at Broadway Cuisine. Quick and courteous service. Shared the Peking Duck with a friend and it came out quickly and well-prepared. The duck skin had a good crunch to it and the duck itself was well-flavored. Came here on a weekday for dinner and there was lots of seating available. Definitely recommend coming here if you are at Chinatown LA and would like to support a small business
Delicious food! We enjoyed the orange chicken and the fried rice with vegetables 💯 very generous amount of food. Would recommend it completely (: Great service and they serve you a teapot and soup for free as a courtesy.
Great service, great food, great prices, clean, fast service, everything fresh and the staff is friendly and attentive. I would definitely recommend it. The food was the best ever! I tried the peckin duck as well and it was delicious. Loved this restaurant. Plus free parking :) 😀
So good! We got 1) mushrooms with egg tofu and 2) sesame chicken. Both were excellent and came quickly. This place is kid friendly too!
Really fantastic Chinese food. Not a giant selection of dim-sum but quite a giant selection of Chinese fare. The sweet & pungent chicken was definitely the best dish we tried (not pictured). The eggplant was good and made for really fantastic leftovers, you don’t even need to reheat. The spicy wontons were alright but arrived to the table a little too cold (temperature wise). Beef chow fun with vegetables was good but if I ordered it again I would just get the regular chow fun as I’m not a big fan of bok choy. Overall really fantastic meal, I’d love to return to try some of the other items on the menu!

Good food for reasonable prices and generous quantity. With efficient service. Recommended when you don't look for anything fancy/original but solid.
I was hard core craving Chinese food and Broadway Cuisine hit the spot. We ordered from their lunch specials, which are similar dishes to the dinner menu, but in smaller portions and lower price. But honestly, the portions we just enough for my friend and me. We ordered Singaporean stir fry noodles and spicy eggplants. Both dishes were not overly salty not oily. Super great place for local Chinese cuisine.
Ok, let's go to Los Angeles' Chinatown. Now what? Look for parking. Screech! Free parking in rear for Broadway Cuisine. And we're well satisfied with our choice. At this writing, 12/18/2022, $12.95 will get you a mound of chicken lo mein with veggies and noodles similar to pad Thai. It was great and so was the veggie mu shu my partner ordered. Greeted with a hello and a complimentary pot of oolong, the surroundings were clean and done in a very nice marble tile and clear glass blocks. Excellent service where the server plates your food. Upscale that we're not used to. Would frequent this place, alas we live 2600 miles from LA. We believe this place is something to rave about.
Started with a clean and friendly environment, hot tea and egg drop soup 🍜 all were delicious and hot. Main course was fish filet in black bean sauce, Kung pao chicken, sautéed green beans and shrimp with soft noodles 🍜. All hot , ample portions and not over or undercooked or over seasoned,. This place is a nice spot to eat lunch or dinner. Clean bathroom and dining room.
On 1-31-26 While having dinner at Broadway Cuisine with my family I overheard a female server complaining about the tip amount she was given by two college aged boys. I was sitting 2 booths away ,I could hear her and see her pointing out their check , what they ate & telling them that they needed to give her more money. I understand that this did not happen to me but it was uncomfortable , she was so unprofessional & very rude to do that to those customers or ANY CUSTOMER . The food is delicious but CUSTOMERS PLEASE BEWARE OF RUDE OLDER FEMALE SERVER !!!! This is not ok to have this type of behavior with customers. Broadway cuisine PLEASE speak to your employees !

Taking over a space with some real established history in Los Angeles's Chinatown Chinese cuisine scene, Broadway Cuisine is the former staff of Plug Tree Inn that continues some of the traditions. The menu here is not your typical banquet-style Chinese restaurant. This modified version is simplified to a cafe-style restaurant with a family entree setting and with familiar dishes. Rice and noodles dishes are still the Cantonese ones. From Beef Chow Fun to Fried Rice entrees, most everything are deliciously made. Much of the saving grace is the fact that the seasoning is on point and not overly salty as some Chinese restaurants can be. The decor is a remnant of the previous owners' banquet history. With large tables and booths, the dining room is large and tall. A fresh coat of paint is certainly needed. With excellent service, and a simplified menu Broadway is very approachable. There is no focus on fresh seafood that other large Chinese Restaurants may have, but dishes here are of good value. There is limited parking on premises thus be prepared to find street parking or use some of the pay lots just a block or two away.

Food just ok, nothing special. Mu shu pork filling was good but crepe was dry and too thick. Won ton soup pretty good.
We should’ve walked out the moment that we sat down because we saw people at other tables walk out as well. The food is insanely overpriced, especially for lunchtime. The staff was rude and quick to walk away from the table before we finish talking. Every single piece of food that we had la flavor and when I asked for napkins because our tea spilt they brought over one. We left and the lady chased after us. Confused because we definitely paid but she said we didn’t tip. We told her that the service was got awful and the food was just as bad. “ thanks for running after us though.” is what I said to her at the end of the conversation as we walked out. Coming from someone who’s had over 10 years in the restaurant industry this was one of the worst experiences at a restaurant in my entire life . Rude service, bad food, and about two tables worth of customers at the busiest time of the day, which is lunch.

I have been coming here for years but after today I won't be returning. The food is good but for the server to point out the 15% $23 tip not accepting my father in laws $10 tip, joke is on her because myself and husband hand a $20 ready to leave for her but due to her comment she got $21 that is extremely rude of her!! She ruined her $30 tip total good job.
Restroom was dirty! Attempted to get the waitress to do anything was impossible. Ran out of water and had to flag down a waitress to get water, then 5 minutes later remind her to get water. Towards the end of dinner we ran out of water again and it never got filled. Scallops didn’t taste that great, they also aren’t firm. Chicken broccoli was terrible. Steak was good. Chicken pot stickers and cream cheese wontons are fantastic, the sweet and sour sauce is also really good! Rice was too loose, it was a little sticky but not a good Chinese rice kind of sticky. The waitress was the largest problem I had and when I left a $10 tip she got mad because it was “not even 10%”, I have had more customer service at a McDonalds.

My family and I went here for our Christmas vacation on the day of Christmas. We had a reservation and was seated after a few minutes. About 30 minutes or so passed and we still weren’t served but we noticed people who were seated after us were being served. It dawned on me that it was because of the color of our skin. We were the only black family within the establishment and nobody batted an eye at us. I don’t recommend this establishment to anyone. I wouldn’t give them a dime.
