What a classy and elegant place this is I absolutely just had to sit down and enjoy the atmosphere of the union station and Los Angeles But I was craving a bowl of soup and they had just the answer for me, the pozole Suffering a little from congestion, the freshly sliced onions crunched in my mouth. It needs to buy the chicken is so flavorful and the tortilla is perfect. I wish I had a bigger bowl, but then I never would’ve loved. The staff is incredibly professional. I really like them a lot I’ll be back. Hopefully, I’ll try the tomato bisque.

Traxx Restaurant was a favorite hangout when I was working downtown LA, and before I took the Amtrak train home in the evening. I came back and nothing changed - great service, fun bartenders, and great choice of drinks. Had the Steak Sandwich and it was great. If you are at Union Station, stop in.

Lunch here today, in the beautifully restored LA Union Station. Food is great, staff are friendly and accommodating, and is a good value. 😃 Beer was great also!

The Brussel sprouts are delicious! I usually go if I miss my Metrolink train. Place is lively and busy when there's a home Dodger game. Solid drinks and stiff drinks

Stopped in before boarding the train. Service is excellent and the food is very excellent. Had the Chicken Focaggia sandwich. Very nice. Music was mellow and relaxing.

Love this spot, it’s a fantastic bar at Union Station. I’ve Been coming for a couple years now. If you are on your way to a Dodger game and taking the Free Shuttle or just passing through. They have some of the friendliest, and talented bartenders, Lexi, Peter and Anthony are my favorites. It’s Always a great experience and never disappoints! Also a must try is the Breakfast sandwich, killer!

There’s a bad review about this place saying there was an inspection issue and cockroaches, and that they received a C rating. However, I went there myself and saw that they currently have an A rating posted. I also didn’t see any proof that they ever received a C. My experience was clean and positive.

I went in on a cold LA night and ordered the grilled cheese and tom soup and when i tell you that thang wassss soooooo good and flavorful that it makes me want to go back and order again today !!! Also, the punk rock people at the bar are not the most, nicest ,friendliest, and didn't make someone like me feel welcomed. Im black by the way.

Traxx embodies the urban ambience in a way that is only possible through proximity to public transit. While the food and service were certainly excellent (exceptional is a high bar), the atmosphere inseparable from location is what makes the difference between being able to recommend a visit while in the neighborhood versus recommending going out of one’s way to pay a visit to Traxx. The latter of these is solidly true.

Dining at Traxx Restaurant inside Union Station is truly one of Los Angeles’ hidden gems. From the moment you walk in, you feel the perfect blend of historic charm and modern California sophistication. The soaring ceilings, warm lighting, and iconic Art Deco architecture create an atmosphere that feels both elevated and inviting. The food is exceptional — thoughtfully curated, beautifully plated, and full of fresh, vibrant flavors. Every dish tastes intentional and refined without being pretentious. Whether you’re stopping in for brunch before catching a train or enjoying a relaxed dinner downtown, the menu delivers across the board. The service was just as impressive. The staff was attentive, knowledgeable, and genuinely welcoming. You can tell they take pride in creating an experience, not just serving a meal. Traxx is more than a restaurant — it’s an experience. It captures the romance of old Los Angeles while offering contemporary cuisine that absolutely stands up to the city’s best. I’ll definitely be back.

The food was amazing as was the service. It was wonderful to sit in the lobby of this classic station and feel the history of Union Station. We ordered the Ahi Bowl and the Chicken Cutlet and both were great.

The service is always friendly and efficient, whether you’re killing time before a train or just wandered in from the street. No pretension here—just solid hospitality and people who seem to genuinely enjoy what they do. But the real kicker? The atmosphere. You’re sitting in one of LA’s most iconic spaces, surrounded by travelers, locals, and characters of every kind. It’s prime-time people-watching. One table over, someone’s in a deep meaningful discussion about a screenplay. Across the room, a backpacker’s staring at the departure board like it holds the meaning of life. You can’t make this stuff up—it just happens around you while you eat. Traxx is a little slice of calm in the middle of motion. Whether you’re catching a train or just catching your breath, it’s absolutely worth a stop.

Herd to believe but this is a very good restaurant at a train station. Most every time heading home on the train first have a meal at Traxx.

Went to this restaurant before taking my train up north…🚂The staff were cool.🙋‍♀️ I ended up getting Calamari🦑, Birria Tacos🐐, & the Steak Sandwich (To-Go)🐄. Food was good😋, it seems they serve more like appetizers instead of full dishes🙃. That’s my only complaint, portion size really🤏. Other than that everything was cool 👍 & I’d definitely recommend if you’re sitting at Union waiting for a train or bus…🙇‍♂️🚌🚂

Went to Traxx Bar across from the restaurant. Bartender was very nice. Decent selection of spirits. No hot water to make warm drinks like a Hot Toddy, they have to call over to the restaurant for that. Nice bar to hang out and wait for your train. Didn't go to the restaurant this time, but we enjoyed it last time. Better than hanging out at the Starbucks.

Liked to have supper here before going back home, but they have been closing much earlier than their closing time on their hours. They let people go to the bar across the hallway but it doesn't feel as welcome. If this new hours need to stay, I'll just stick to pretzels or subway sandwich.

Traxx — I’m not even sure where to begin. Unfortunately, the most concerning issue was what appeared to be a roach problem. Seeing roaches out in the open was extremely unsettling and unacceptable for any establishment. After a long day of travel, we were hoping for a decent meal, but the food tasted far from fresh — more like it had been sitting for days. Overall, the experience was disappointing and unsanitary. As someone who used to be a loyal customer, it’s really disappointing to see how much this place has gone downhill. I truly hope management takes steps to address these issues, but based on this visit, I would not recommend stopping here.

On 9-9-25 I ordered a Traxx burger my order was complete and a waitress walked right pass me and out the door with my order when I saw this i told Mr.R who took my order that I didn't want it because it was walked outside of the restaurant doors in a to go box and wasn't covered or closed. Mr. R at first refused to have order remade and wanted to give me a refund which I refused to accept and told him I wanted my order made again to which his reply was ( that's ridiculous because we always walk food out the uncovered to the bar restaurant in which i told that would be acceptable as well, he started talking to his co-workers in Spanish I told him that was rude and unprofessional and he continued to talk in Spanish I asked for a manager and was told there was no manager on duty. My order was remade and it was made wrong. I eat here at least twice a month and never had this experience. Today 9-10-25 I called asking for a manager and was told no manager was on duty and no-body knows when the manager will be
