TLDR: Amazing dinner spot in LA with a scheduled fire performance. Delicious food, great drinks, and lively ambiance. Do not miss the Pão de queijo appetizer. Visiting LA with my friend, we chose this place for dinner and it was wonderful. The scheduled fire performance added so much energy to the night, and making a reservation online was simple. The ambiance was dim yet lively, and the service was attentive throughout the evening. We ordered the Salmon Temaki and the Picanha, both of which were excellent. When the Picanha came out, we completely forgot to take a photo because we were too excited to dive in. For drinks, I had the Copacabana (non-alcoholic) and my friend had the Favela (alcoholic), and both were just wow. The food was so good that we did not want the night to end. A special mention goes to the Pão de queijo, the warm bread Casa Ipanema serves as their starter. It was incredible and we loved it so much that we said yes to another bowl. Our total for everything came to $152.47. Overall, this is a fantastic spot for dinner, especially if you can catch the fire performance. Highly recommend.

This place is a hidden gem! Love the fire dancer performance on the weekends and the food is delicious and fairly priced. If you want to have a good date night without breaking the bank this is the place. The drinks are AMAZING our bartender JeanPoll is so knowledgeable and will make your drink just right! LOVED LOVED his service.

We stopped by for an afternoon snack after a brilliant day in DTLA. John Paul was an excellent host and bartender. The cucumber salad was delicious as were the tostadas and tacos. We’ll be heading back for dinner next time!

-Cheese Bread 4☆ Taste and texture were good but they were at room temperature, not warm. -Truffle Fondue 5☆ I like the combination of the cheeses. -Grilled Brussels Sprouts 5☆ -Passion Fruit Salmon 4.5☆ the salmon had a few thorns -Picanha 4 5☆ Almost perfect. I just missed the original charcoal/fire taste. -Shrimp a la casserole 5☆ Flavorful! Most impressed!! -Girl from Ipanema 5☆ Very tasty! Good balance of coconut and fresh strawberries even though I'm not a big fan of coconut flavor (recommendation from the server Gaby). I'd drink again! •Service was very attentive by the server and the manager. •Atmosphere/Decoration is pretty and spacious. Only the music was a little too loud to my liking.

Food was a 4.5, but the experience was a 5. Located right next to Pershing Square is Casa Ipanema. There was no valet, but we found a spot a block away. Inside it feels like a Miami nightclub - loud, pretty, and dark. Some of the food dishes were great while others were good. We ordered a Picanha steak medium, and it arrived well done - no pink at all. But the flavors were original and inventive. The fire dancer started a little after 8pm. This is a fun place for a date, but it’s really loud so hard to talk.

Best brunch, lunch, and dinner place! no matter the occasion this place is the best for it all. The food is delicious and the vibes are indescribable. its like youre transported to tropical yet upscale place. The drinks are beyond refreshing, and just hit the perfect spot. Jeanpoll the waiter always provides the best service and makes you feel at home. This man is professional!!! and very few of him left in the service industry. If you are near the DTLA area and want something upscale, but chic, cute, and delicious, this is the place!

We stumbled upon this spot after attending the magic show upstairs at the Biltmore. This place is a vibe! And the food is great too. I had the Picahna and the others in my group had the Pistachio Crusted Fish and everything was delicious. The service is great, and they have a DJ playing lively music in the background. They even have a fire dancer perform a short show at certain points throughout the night. This is a great place to celebrate a special occasion or just to have a nice, lively dinner. We’ll be back!

Casa Ipanema is a must-visit! The food, service, and atmosphere were all fantastic. We ordered the tres leches pancakes and the picanha chilaquiles, and wow—both were absolutely delicious. We had a fantastic brunch at Casa Ipanema, and would highly recommend stopping by next time you are in Los Angeles. We got the picanha steak taco, tres leches French toast, and a delicious dessert alongside some mimosas. Great service, music, and ambiance as well!
