We book this restaurant through Resy because I wanted to use Amex rewards. I love the name of the restaurant! I didn’t know that they ONLY SERVE CEVICHE!! Seafood was great (little too salty) but I was hungry to the end because they don’t have main dishes. I would say this place is good for grabbing drinks with ceviche, not for dinner. Only one guy was serving everything. Making ceviche, drinks and cleaning. So it takes time to get food. Parking is in the back but it’s hard to find it.
Excellent fresh ceviche. Intimate dining room with great tunes. You can tell the chef/owner is really passionate. The tostadas and ceviche were real standouts, will absolutely go again.
Awesome spot, amazing chef who preps/serves/does it all. Highly recommend the callo de hacha and any tostada.
I’m gonna start by saying this I go to hundreds of places and I try different type of food. I go to different cities and I have not heard the best tostada de ceviche until today.
Absolutely delightful! Each bite was a new experience, surpassing the last in flavor and creativity. We truly appreciated the artistry behind the dishes, which were not only delicious but beautifully presented. Even now, I'm reminiscing about those flavors—my mouth is watering just thinking about them! The freshness of the ingredients really shone through in the dishes!
Food and service are outstanding!!! If you like sea food this place is a must. They serve fresh and delicious fish and different types of sea food. The dishes are very elegant presented and the service is fabulous!!! The place is small and cozy.
Amazing food, vibes and service. Seafood is so fresh. Owner is quirky, cool and fun. Love this place. Smaller venue with a vibrant interior design! A must do if in the east-side. Ado great wine to pair with your food!
Tiny digs, make a reso! The staff here is fun to interact with and goes above and beyond to accommodate. We were jet-lagged with a 3 hour time difference and our son was not happy to be at dinner. Despite this, the staff helped us ease into the night. By the end, even my son was feeling merry. Food and beverage menus are curated to ensure a harmonious duo. After enjoying a variety of wines and sake (from Mexico!), special crudos and shellfish delights, I have to say this was one of our best meals in Los Angeles. Thank you, staff! We'll see you on Fall Guys (lol).
A MUST for any seafood lover ! Perfect date night spot, unique flavor profiles and some of the best ceviche I’ve ever had ! They have a nice lot at the back with ample parking which is fantastic ! The place is small, if you’re seated outside it’s extremely loud due to the cars but once seated inside the ambiance transformed. Sam was serving all the tables and was very accommodating to us switching locations which was very nice. Now on to the food: fresh , clean seafood that really tastes top quality. We absolutely loved everything that we ate; the oysters on the half shell were great (a little on the chili side , less citrus - would have loved lemon personally but everyone else enjoyed them as is). All the dishes came with their tostadas that are the best tostadas I’ve had. The red snapper ceviche was delicious with nice chunks of fish and jicama. The kanpachi sashimi was so well seasoned with very finely chopped melon & radishes. The stone crab claw came already deconstructed which is a nice treat and they were so delicious with / without the accompanying chille sauce. The scallops were so delicious on their own as well (came garnished with pomegranate and fruit). 5/5 will come back for our seafood cravings 💕
Great raw seafood bar spot. Wish it wasn’t so far from me in Silverlake, but would love to come back again, especially in person when things go back to normal. The tostada shells they give are really great, not sure if done in house or provided from somewhere else. High quality fresh seafood, Peruvian scallops were maybe the favorite with the combination of citrus and pomegranate. Prices seem fairly reasonable to me given the sourcing.
As a ceviche lover, I love the concept and had a really good meal here. High quality ingredients and friendly staff, fast service. Only critique is that when we arrived for our reservation, literally half the menu was sold out! That was a bummer, because some of the food we saw being prepped looked amazing. In spite of that happening, would go back and try again :)
Wow! The best ceviche I've ever had. So fresh, and the presentation is amazing for takeout food. In these trying times, it's nice to get a fancy meal for takeout. The star of the night was the aguachile, but honestly everything was amazing. Get a bunch of different dishes, as we regret not just trying them all! Highly recommended.
I don't remember the last time I was this impressed with a restaurant. Ceviche Project offers the freshest seafood prepared in unique and refreshing ways. I thoroughly enjoyed everything I ordered (which was the whole menu). On top of that, the ambiance was perfect. It's an intimate space that's perfect for date night. Lastly, the service was phenomenal. Our server was so attentive and made us feel right at home. He described every dish with so much enthusiasm, which made us even more excited to try everything. They were so kind and accommodating. I will definitely be back!
Amazing Spot! After years doing the Pop Up Ventures Ceviche Fanatic Octavio Olivas hit solid ground here! I had to try most of what was on the menu! A birthday occasion took my wife and we LOVED IT!! After catching The Pop Up here and there l knew this had tremendous potential for setting up brick and mortar! Chef Olivas is ALL HEART AND PASSION FOR THIS!! Big respect and can’t wait to go back!!! Thank you!!!

It is worth driving from Santa Monica just for this restaurant. Service is friendly, knowledgeable and fast. Drinks and foods are absolutely on point. Perfect for the date night, or even solo dining indulge myself. We really adore this restaurant!!

Ceviche Project is a food lover’s paradise! Fresh, innovative, delicious! Couldn’t ask for a more delightful meal.
This is my favorite restaurant in all of LA. I never post reviews but I had to write one about this place. This is the best seafood I have ever eaten hands down - the combination of flavors that Octavio has thoughtfully curated is completely unique to anything I’ve experienced and will send you to a different dimension (try the king kanpachi tostada!) Not to mention Octavio is a great hang and makes you feel like an old friend. His kindness is matched only by his charm. This is the perfect restaurant, if I could give it a thousand stars I would.
An absolutely outstanding experience, every time. Ceviche Project has some of the best food in LA and everyone we've brought there has agreed. Everything is delicious and beautifully presented. It's creative but accessible. Great wine list, too. The owner is incredibly knowledgeable, kind, and takes time to chat when it's not too busy. A hidden gem that I can't recommend enough.
Amazing service and food. The chef takes great care in each dish he provides. My fiance normally does not like oysters but though the ones here were amazing.

Food is amazing, fresh and looks incredible. It will get pricy to get full so be prepared to order more than you think. Service was also wonderful. Our only complaint was the epic volume level of the restaurant. Something with the acoustics but we were pretty much forced to shout at each other to be heard. Also outdoor dining didn’t look appealing being right on Hyperion with a ton of traffic in your face.

Unfortunately, had a bad experience here with regards to terrible service. Ordered five dishes and only three showed up and about an hour. Asked about the other two, and a half hour later another showed up. The server forgot. Then ask about the fifth dish and a half hour later he came back and said they were out. Had to ask repeatedly for water, refills, and the whole time the waiter just seemed annoyed to even be helping us. The food was very good, but the portions are incredibly small, and the prices are really high so for $140 you leave hungry. On top of that they add automatic 18% gratuity, which I am normally fine with unless the service is absolutely terrible like it was.
Just tried to go as a single person for a meal alone for my birthday. I was planning on treating myself to a pretty big, spendy meal. The restaurant was half empty with three tables seated inside, no one outside and no one at the fairly large bar. I was treated pretty badly. Or perhaps I should say, with disdain as a chore to be dealt with. The server was pretty uninterested in seating me and basically gave me only one option of a specific seat at the bar to sit at. The space was tight and I’m a big guy and it would have put me directly in the path of egress and I offered to sit a bit more out of the way so I wouldn’t be a nuisance and was shot down pretty intensely. I’m a huge and effusive supporter of local businesses. I love to sing a places praises and encourage my friends to become patrons so small businesses succeed especially in my very small neighborhood. But when a business makes it clear they’d rather not take my money, I make sure to honor their desire and share my experience with friends. The ceviche project might be fabulous, but I wouldn’t know because I was not welcome and that’s a shame. If you can choose anywhere else to eat, do so to avoid the potential feeling of being a nuisance at an establishment where you should feel welcome and appreciated in exchange for your patronage.
