Tip: Be aware that service may be slower when it's busy, as the chef often runs things solo. Many recommend trying the curry fries.

Eclectic place that has a lot of personality and great food. I had the hangover fries and it was a big meal. I wish I had a quarter for the domokun vending machine
Great little place, clean and super staff. Stayed late just for me. Limited free parking in the back, loads of paid parking in the back, on street is dicey. Food taste great and it's definitely Hawaiian Japanese flavors. 5 stars for no styrene package.
First time and not the last, the food is amazingly good, I had the fried shrimp curry- fire!!! We will make it a regular…. Love-love!
I loved the curry here. The flavor was awesome and they gave you plenty of the curry so you had some at every bite. We also had the fries with curry which was super good. Service was nice and quick. The spot is clean and comfortable. I also got to enjoy the half Thai Tea half Thai Coffee.
Asian fusion that's hard to beat. I had the Okinawa taco rice and it was amazing! It's basically a taco on a plate. The one I ordered had Hawaiian pork and was delicious! Chef Wongie is a nice guy that makes great food. Be sure to stop by and try some amazing dishes.
Back in town.. missed my curry fix... heading there now.... yumms..best In town.. back again8/20, 9/20

Super happy I came here. There's very few curry options in this area, and Curry Up is a good one. Had the pork katsu curry: pork was crispy, sauce was flavorful, and heat was just what I wanted. Guy working there was friendly and helpful. Ambience might be a little funky? But I like that it's not some sterile millennial gray mall food court shop. Everything told me this was a place where someone who loves curry makes curry and lets their personality show.
Spotted this place near my hotel in woodland hills and stumbled in on a weeknight. Sat down and had a wonderful meal and a chat with chef wongie. I ordered the DJ meal, which was chicken cutlet with curry sauce rice and veggies with 2 eggs on top. I was brought a delicious salad to start. Perfect comfort food meal. Wongie was a great host. Absolutely lovely laid back spot.
Best curry and katsu I've had since I got back from Japan. The curry was perfect and the katsu was close to perfect. I'm looking forward to having more of the menu and will update as I eat my way through the menu.
I’ve been going to Curry Up Café since it first opened 15 years ago; and the flavors that Chef Chris is able to up with are ASTOUNDINGLY mouth watering good! You can’t go wrong with the bulgogi or Kalua Pork Tacos! And the Curry Burrito is addictive it’s so good! Great salads with Chris’ own unique dressing. I can’t say enough good things about Curry Up Café! AAA+!
I go here since 14 years and this place has the best curry. I love sitting next to the drums. It is just awesome to get such great food and have this "strange" but cool atmosphere.
A true gem in the valley. Chef Wongie makes the absolute best comfort food this side of the city. The decor is quirky and personal to the owner and it reminds you that the best food comes from small businesses like this one that are getting harder and harder to find. Definitely give it a try.
I always enjoy coming here. The food is always hot and tasty. Do know up front that when it's busy, service may be a little slower as it is just the chef running things usually. But he's always attentive and thoughtful regardless. If you want some good comfort food, come here!
See like, here’s the thing. If you haven’t eaten here yet you’re doing yourself a massive disservice. Sushi and Thai food cover Ventura Blvd like sprinkles on a soft serve cone. But there’s only ONE place you can get incredible Japanese curry and Korean fried chicken wings done right. Don’t waste your time getting soggy tempura shrimp and another mediocre California roll when you could be eating this. The chef is cool. Did I mention everything is amazing? Also he has an original NES to play while you wait so...why are you still reading this? Go now!
If you want the best curry you can get in the Valley then this place is it. The chef is the coolest guy and makes amazing meals all on his own. Always more than worth the wait and the food quality and amount is a dream.
Curry fries were the best fries I've ever had in my LIFE. Excellent service too.

The food itself is good. Dinner started off with salads that had a good mix of veggies and dressing. We ordered cheesy curry fries with bulgogi and it was very tasty. Not too cheesy or too much curry. The curry heat level seems to be on the higher side (medium is spicier than I expected). If you can get past the noisy restaurant decor and website and potentially high bill after adding extras to you dishes, I recommend trying this place.

This place makes you want to like it. Inspired fusion options, and a funky flair that makes it seem like s hip place to try. Sadly, it's all the worst cliches of a hole in the wall restaurant. The chef personally serves the guests with a reverence for the food he has made. Unfortunately, he misses all the details, especially the ones that matter most. The cheese fries were stale, but the Korean beef on top saved it. The paper used underneath it, and for my burger, frustratingly melts upon contact with the grease of the food it is served in. The condiments were so old, it scares one to use them. The ramen burger was made with flavorless soggy noodles, and the burger patty was the only thing that tasted decent, though no better than a backyard bbq. I feel this place could've been great had the chef only put in the effort to make it so. I even spent 10 minutes trying to coex him out of the kitchen so I could get a bill to pay. He ignored me, so I left my best guess as to what I owed based on my memory of the menu. I really tried to give this place every opportunity, but it deserves to fail if things don't change. I think it should be shuttered for health code violations. Reply to "chef": You should look on the table. The only robbery here was your pricing for food that tasted like in came out of the garbage. My review was kind considering my pregnant wife is now sick with food poisoning. Your response shows you are a child, and your food shows you're a second rate line cook at best. Both my wife and I have worked in kitchens, her at the highest levels. We know our food and your ketchup and mustard looks about 12 years old, which is the only confirmation of the age of your eatery. I'm not surprised you aren't receptive to criticism, especially when it was ment to give you a wake up call to live up to the potential you have with this place.

Waited to well past it was open to try this place. Called the phone number to order to go and it went straight to voicemail. Figured they might be busy. Drove 20 minutes out of my way. Showed up at 6:25pm (they open at 5pm), and they were closed. There was a sign with a phone number saying they would be right back and to call. It was the same number that they have on Google connected to their restaurant. It went straight to voicemail again.. Very strange way to run a business..
Place looks dirty, we saw a few cockroaches, definetelly overrated, food came cold and overcooked, we had to go hard on salt and pepper to taste like something. It wasn't our first time there but it was definetelly the last! There are way too many great ramen places in LA! Don't waste your money there!
