Very tasty kosher food. I love the schnitzel. (Though I grew up with it being called chicken milanesa. The best ideas cut across cultures.)
Love this place. Best falafel in Los Angeles. Extra points for being the sweetest family owned restaurant!
Habayit Restaurant truly delivers an authentic and delectable taste of Middle Eastern cuisine. It's a must-visit for anyone seeking a memorable dining experience that tantalizes the senses. I can't wait to return and explore more of their culinary treasures!
The food is absolutely the type you want for your LAST MEAL. Everything is always fresh and plentiful. It's worth every cent plus more. I love the "Sliced Baked Potato". The vegetable soup is the best thing next to grandma's and she's been gone 20+ yrs. The prices are so worth it. Not high at all. The customer service is actually "Family Service" because you feel the love & care.
The food is always really good... authentic. I highly recommend. Last time I was feeling low and got the chicken soup. Was so wonderful and comforting. I've never had a bad dish here.
My very favorite falafel plate in all of Los Angeles. Tiny little hole in the wall magical spot. Husband and wife and the chefs and the host! Love supporting this business. The homemade spicy green sauce is what dreams are made of.
Ordered lunch for the staff from this restaurant. It was great. Highly recommended for office lunches!
After driving by here too many times, I stopped in for a delicious lunch! A back to the basics Israeli place in a small, but completely full restaurant in the corner of a Westside strip mall. Friendly and efficient staff serving super fresh casual Israeli classics. From Falafel to Sabich to Schnitzel and Schwarma they've got it all - and they do it right. Prices are quite reasonable, and the food is as tasty as it is authentic. A great find!
Excellent falafel sandwich, fresh, crisp, delicious, friendly service
I'm in from the East Coast, staying in MDR, and there are not many kosher options that far West. I ate at Habayit Restaurant yesterday, not expecting much from the only game in town. My expectations were far exceeded, when I realized the food at this little place was as authentic and tasty as my days spent living in Israel. I walked in to an absolutely spotless, nice seating area and was served by the owner, a gem of a guy. I ordered their homemade hummus and a plate of schnitzel, just playing it safe. The server brought out (gratis) pickled vegetables to die for, fresh pita, and a falafel ball to try. The hummus came out, an elaborate plate of hummus, tehini, olive oil, garnished with Israeli spices. Superb, fresh, and refreshing. The falafel was the best I've ever tasted, and I don't say that lightly. We're off to a great start. The schnitzel and fries were served in a generous portion, fresh and crunchy as possible, with a house blend of tasty spices. They served the schnitzel the authentic way, thin strips, with a lemon on the side to squeeze. Heaven. I highly recommend this restaurant as even a destination for people in other areas of LA. The flavor, freshness, and service rival any other kosher restaurant in LA. A+ and I'll be back. Tonight!
My recent dining experience at Habayit Restaurant was an absolute delight! From the moment I walked in, I was enveloped in a warm and inviting ambiance that immediately put me at ease.
Just had a great kabab pita, really taste like its home made, generous portions and food is delicious! Well priced. Really good kosher place. Love it.
Great food!!!! Best falafel ever! and friendly staff! you really feel at home like the restaurant's name...highly recommended.
Great little hole in the wall. Falafel pita was simple. Only falafels and a cucumber veggie mix. Hand cut fries were delicious.
Excellent falafel, beef kebab, and chicken shawarma. Really a hidden gem that's rarely busy
Habayit Restaurant is an absolute gem tucked away in the heart of the city. From the moment you step inside, you're transported to a world of vibrant colors and enticing aromas.
Great restaurant in La for Israeli. Amir the owner is so nice . The food is freshly home cooked. I'm so happy I gat to know that place. Definitely coming back !!!.
No frills hole in the wall place with great food! The falafel was excellent and their homemade tahini sauce went great with it.
The best falafel I’ve ever tried BY A MILLION MILES. Lovely staff despite the unassuming location. Great hummus, tahini and babaganoush. Highly recommend.
I am REALLY picky when it comes to food and I LOVED the food here. It was so delicious. And the service is incredible as well. Great combination.
The food was very good and fresh I enjoy a lot of the real taste of the chicken shawarma and the hummus Definitely will come back when will be in LA again thanks!
This place is one of West LAs best kept secrets! I work near by and order from here alll the time! The Chicken Shawarma is absolutely delicious! I like to have the cucumber/tomato salad on the side but make sure to ask for an extra Tahim sauce! The green hot sauce is beyond flavorful as well and people I have eaten here with call it super hot which it is, so try it with a tiny bit because it is strong! I eat here at least 3 times a week because it’s simple Kosher food made right every time and everything is super fresh! I have tried their Falafel and it’s awesome too, I am just stuck on the Chicken Shawarma Sandwich! The Baklava is a nice treat if you would like something sweet! Excellent friendly service and if you call something in, it usually takes about 10 minutes and it’s ready to pick up! Highly recommended! Don’t pass this place up, it’s too good, I have had a ton of my customers rave about this spot as well, they all love it!
This great place is small, so slow down or you will miss it. It is ever so cute inside. It has fun art that my grandson loves. It is super clean and just a fun place to go. It is Israeli food, but also quite American as well. It has a wonderful Mediterranean flare. All of their food is Kosher, which is always nice and all of it is just great. The menu is not huge, but it does not need to be. They have something for everyone. We love the service. Some of the servers have been there awhile and they know everything and if you are looking for other Kosher places or even a Temple if you are a visitor, they have you covered. The servers are always smiling and are great with kids. It is super family friendly. We love all their food, but a must have is their Matza Ball soup. It is perfection from the soup to the Matza Ball. You can get it in a cup or bowl. We have been here a few times over the years, sometimes for breakfast and other times for lunch. Their Shakshukah is a great way to start your morning. It is a wonderful breakfast item. It comes with eggs and salad with a great home made tomato sauce. They also have just eggs if you want. For lunch we love the Israeli Vegetables Salad, which has Finely cut assorted vegetables with lemon dressing, tomatoes and cucumber. It is the bomb. If you want to be daring, get their combination salad, which is a combination of all their salads. It is so good. Their Humus is great and has a wonderful lemon juice and olive oil. All of their Pita sandwiches are tasty as well. Another favorite is their grilled salmon. It is cooked perfectly and you will love the fresh flavor. There is not one thing not to like here, so go and have fun and relax.
Shawarma plate + a couple falafels a la carte. All authentic flavors and generous portions.
Delicious falafel, baba ghanoush, hummus, and pita!
The warm, thick pitas are unlike anywhere else. Adorable little place. Free parking too.

Delicious falafel, baba ghanoush, hummus, and pita!
This places name in Hebrew means Home...and eating here gave me exactly that feel. From the service, attitude, and food, it felt like home. I loved it. Will be back.
The food at this place is ridiculously good. So inspired... So much flavor. Best falafel in my life. The pita and hummus is great. The potatoes side is great. The shakshuka is legit and very tasty. The beef kabob and chicken schnitzel are SO good. All is served with a side of spicy green sauce and tahini sauce. And also it comes with a small plate of pickled items. I would give this place 10 stars if I could.
Very good food, wishing I would live near by as I could eat this everyday!
Dropped by here for some falafel after a gig. Staff was friendly and the food tasted great. Setting is humble, unpretentious and comfortable. I am obsessed with schug (zhug/zhoug) now since I am a fan of spicy food. If you're dining in, you'll spend more than 20 for sure, especially when you plan on tipping generously but it's worth it. Everything was herbal, uncompromising and absolutely tasty. Recommend!
Place is incredible - best Israeli food in the states!
Great israeli food, reminded me of my childhood cooking at home and when i went to israel to visit family. Deliciously soft pita, great tahini and garnish, delicious shnitzel and israeli salad. Very authentic to israeli home cooking, they are perfectly names “the house” in Hebrew. Only downside is portions and price. $21 (with tax and tip) for a tiny sandwich with no sides. Over $30 for plates. But they are kosher so it makes sense.
Great experience ;good is amazing ; fries are something else .Really blew my mind. Hi to the whole team. Even the dishwasher. Really cool guy . And the owner mom’s they made me feel at home
My go-to Israeli street food takeout

The food was fresh, on time, and really tasty. Shawarma Turkey wrap was really good. Coupled with the sauces, it was almost perfect. Bware, the spicy sauce is really spicy, so take it slow. Freshly squeezed orange was good too. Overall, a solid 4.
Blink and you’ll miss it — Habayit is West LA’s best-kept falafel secret. Tiny, minimal, 4–5 tables, with the lady owner quietly overseeing the kitchen — intimate and unpretentious, like a meal at your grandma’s house. The falafel is almost spiritual: crispy outside, moist inside, herb-forward, with pita soft and warm like a baby’s cheek. Tahini and hot sauce hit perfectly. The kebab is solid, could use a touch more seasoning, and the Israeli chopped salad is fresh and vibrant — a crisp counterpoint to the fried falafel. Paper plates, yes, but come for the food, not the plating. Simple, honest, full of intention — a must for true food lovers. Gatekeeping aside, this is one you quietly cherish and want others to know.

We parked in the lot and we were seated immediately. We ordered the schnitzel, falafel and hummus. It came with a variety of pickled vegetables. We finished everything and it was very good. Very basic food but skillfully prepared. Prices are reasonable.

Small nice place. Ordered basic dishes, hummus and sabih, both were just bad in my opinion. Not the experience i was looking forward to.
Portions are small and overpriced. I think they gave me salad that wasn’t fresh. We used to eat here a lot, something changed.
This place is absolutely needs to be taught a lesson on how to treat customers. I walk into the place to place a order. I have hearing problems, I asked the cashier if you can speak up a bit louder. But instead he starts talking to another customer that speaks his language and starts talking #$&@ Right in front of me. If you want to be discriminated because your Hispanic this is the place where you should go. And if you want to get charged for food that doesn't really taste good and have no flavor then this is your place.
I had the Chicken Shawarma Pita. they don't have beef Shawarma n their menu for some reason meat quality was very low, slimy and left a bad after taste in my mouth. I liked the hot sauce "Sourek". Over all the Pita sandwich was over priced at $10.50 and $2.50 for a can of coke. Had much better Shawarma Plate at the price of $9.00 at Almaza by Robertson and Venice blvd. not recommended unless you are specifically looking for Kosher food
Not so good food at an expensive price. Service was mediocre.
This is the worst pita falafel I have ever had. The sauce was stale and the pita bread was not hot all the way. I'm actually really sad that this is where I decided to spendyoney and eat. There are way better places in this neighborhood. The server was nice.

Overpriced and unprofessional. I ordered the Grill Combination, and it was completely burnt. For these prices, serving overcooked, tasteless meat is unacceptable. To make matters worse, there was no service to speak of, and an employee was using a dining table as a personal office, spreading paperwork everywhere while people were trying to eat. Extremely unprofessional atmosphere. Save your money and go elsewhere.
Had a terrible experience all around. Bad service. Bad food. Took forever, which was confusing because the food wasn't even prepared well.
First of all i do not agree with the 10-20$ a person(by google) the prices are preety high i paid close to 50 for a small soup and pita kebob . The pita had 2 very small pieces of kebob and wasnt that tasty at all
