Hidden gem in Little Tokyo, Mediterranean food that pops off inside of a bar. Great environment... Great service extremely quality food. The sauces were on point.

Came here for a quick snack and a drink and was pleasantly surprised. Everything was great and the food was good and the bar tender went above and beyond to make our drinks extra good. Def a great spot to come have a drink and bite if you’re in the area. A hidden gem.

Loved this place. Got the remix bowl and sweet potato fries. The sauces are amazing. Love the aesthetic. Will definitely go back.

I got lucky with the parking out front, but not inside because of their BOGO soft opening deal. It was packed with a small line to order. I had takeout, so forgive the togo containers in the photos. I got the Street Cart Wrap with beef and lamb, as well as the Berliner Bowl with chicken and quinoa. I ate nearly a 1/3 of the bowl and 1/2 the wrap. The flavors were very addictive. This was a comfort food I never knew I needed. Such freshness and I loved the texture of all the ingredients in the salad. The berliner sauce had a pleasant tang to it. The Wrap had a garlic aioli that I wish I had more to dunk with. Definitely worth checking out.

First time here. My son and I had lunch. Cooks and waiters were friendly, the place was clean, love that they have self serve water and doggie bag items available++ and the food was delicious! Had the Remix bowl with beef and lamb; their lemon dressing sauce was amazing! My son had the Berliner bowl They had three different sangrias available my son had the white sangria and he said it was good. Nice music, people, and space to eat outside if you like.

Been coming here for years, and they just keep improving and getting better. Their menu has expanded to include bowls, and those are now my favorite. The bar went through a recent renovation, the flow of the restaurant is much better. They still have all the cool art work in there. Seasonal cocktails are delicious, I love any of their sangria twists. Their house red wine is really good too, slightly carbonated - which was different but totally refreshing. Plenty of vegan and gluten free options here. I got their chicken bowl and there was enough to take home for a second meal later. Hummus is made fresh and tastes amazing. I like how they have sauces that I fell in love with at Trader Joe’s - like the Zhoung green sauce and this red Harissa chili sauce - SO good. Super comforting to have those sauces cause it reminds me of my kitchen! Definitely a trendy place - come here for work meetings, come here on a date, or com here with some friends for a healthy meal.

This place is great is many aspects. The food concept is mediterranean with a california twist and I liked it - being mediterranean myself! Their menu is small and compact but not the easiest to understand besides it’s compactness. The wraps which are the main thing there were really good - not mindblowing but above good. Another impressive fact about this restis the ambience which is fantastic (see my pictures for reference). Prices and service were fantastic as well! Deservedly 5 stars.

First off the service was stellar . Our disheveled group took awhile to make a final order, but the servers were nice and provided suggestions until we were finished. Most importantly, the food... 🔥🔥💯You feel like you’re getting a steal for such good quality... portions are also sized perfectly IMO. Will be back soon!!

Spitz in Little Tokyo is an absolute gem for Mediterranean street food with a modern, laid-back twist. The vibe is fun, artsy, and perfect for a casual lunch or dinner with friends. I ordered the Street Cart Doner Wrap and Sweet Potato Waffle Fries—both were packed with flavor and super satisfying. The portions are generous, the ingredients taste fresh, and their house sauces take everything to the next level. Bonus: great vegetarian options too! The staff is friendly, the service is quick, and the local craft beer selection is a solid plus. If you’re craving something different and delicious in downtown LA, Spitz is a must-try.

I love this place. The food is on point: fresh and delicious but not “healthy” tasting. They’ve also got a well curated beer selection. Both the hazy and the west coast IPAs were great. I also like the vibe. Good music. Cozy interior. Feels like home. I also need to shout out Juan, who was working the bar on my most recent visit. He took the time to explain their beers, did a great job handling a diverse set of customers and let me know about their catering options, which we might just use. My place of work is just around the corner. Whenever I’m back in LA for work, Spitz will be my go-to for lunch, dinner, and drinks

Came here with my family of 4, we had soyu, tonkotsu and tantanmen ramen. Everyone was happy with what they ordered - rich broth with deep flavors and generous toppings. Very good overall.

We came and got served fast. The people are nice. The food is amazing! The chashu ramen is massive and the pork is well made. Would bring family here for the food and enjoyment

The food was delicious, and the servers were excellent! However, I did have a complaint about the host who tried to take my plate and fork before I was finished eating. I had to let him know that I wasn’t done as he began walking away with my things. Later, when I went to use the restroom, that same host was at the front. I asked him for directions, and he questioned whether I was a customer. I replied, "Yes, you just took my plate." He then told me to go ahead but still didn’t give me the directions I needed and ended up giving me incorrect ones. Despite this, the food was great, and the Thai tea was strong and tasty!

Really delicious bento boxes. They have a deal that includes salad, California Rolls, and bento with rice, popcorn chicken (I think) tempura, and your choice of protein. Their rolls are delicious too. I ordered an order of California rolls and spicy tuna rolls and the chef mixed them in the same plate....AWESOME! This is the best spot for lunchtime.

we were here in LA on vacation and we love coming to Little Tokyo. We walked past this place before, but never really took the time to eat inside. I’m glad we did because out of the many different ramen and udon shops, this one has to be the best one yet. The noodles are housemade, and you can tell. If you’re a frequent noodle eater, unlike store bought or frozen noodles, they actually have a mochi-like texture, which is way more enjoyable and filling to me. The broth and other additions to both the ramen and udon took it over the top. And the workers are very professional and well mannered! 10/10 would absolutely come again!

Stumbled into this place and it had one of the best bento boxes I've found in LA! The Chicken Katsu was fire. Definitely coming back a thousand times. The ramen looks amazing too, ill be trying that next.

Review for Ramen Maruya: ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Absolutely delicious! Every dish we tried was fresh, flavorful, and beautifully presented. The ramen was rich and satisfying, the sashimi was top quality, and the grilled eel rice bowl was amazing. We also loved the edamame and miso soup that came with the meal. The service was quick and friendly, and the location in Little Tokyo is perfect. Highly recommended for anyone craving authentic Japanese food!

Found this place based on google review of 4.4, so decided to give it a try. The food really surprises us, and we are happy to find authentic Japanese food in LA. The spicy ramen is nice and tasty and the salmon bento set is really worth it, with lots of sides. We ordered green tea, which is refillable at $3. They will come by the table to help us refill our drinks. Overall, recommended.

Update: The chirasu noodles are legit!!! Pork everywhere!!! I think this place has the best bento combo. The amount is fantastic. Their sushi and handrolls are on point! I had the Hamachi and the spicy scallop handroll. Excellent stuff and my wife couldn't dent the bento!

Hello! The Trekking Pawns here! We left so happy and stuffed! Arrived around 6:30 and the place was empty, which was a little concerning, but the place quickly filled over the next hour. We started with crispy fried chicken (very good) and simply salted edamame. The ramen was delicious but not as spicy as advertised. The sashimi was thickly sliced and delicious and came with three different lovely side dip! Also tried the snow crab rolls and it was very delicious. The bathrooms were usable but not the best.

This place was great! Service and atmosphere was wonderful. Very friendly staff and nice seating areas. Tonkatsu ramen was super delicious and highly recommend if you're ever in Little Tokyo in Los Angeles area. Broth was a little creamy, but still tasty and chashu had very good texture and soft. Noodles also had good firmness and a bit on the thinner side. 10 out of 10 would go again!

Love the place, although it is very much a made up version of Mediterranean food. Everything is tasty except the pita chips. I think they are way too oily. The wraps are always on point but they have something that annoys me at every branch and every truck. The paper wrapper. PLEASE stop sticking it inside the actual wrap. I’ve taken a bite of it once and have to take it out of my food almost every time. The bowls are also great. Love the drinks and the 22oz beer BUT the sangria is like it doesn’t have any alcohol in it. Straight up juice to keep u getting more. I don’t like that. It sounds like a bunch of negative things but I’ll keep it 4 stars I like this place overall.

Went there on a Saturday night, after theater. We love the atmosphere and the contemporary style of the place. It's the perfect place for a drink or for some good food at a reasonable price. All the items on the menu can be made with the vegetarian or vegan option, with the choice of sandwiches or wraps, plus salads and their unique fries The staff is friendly and there is a good selection of craft beers.

Overall: 4.2/5 (Postmates delivery) The food delivered earlier than expected. I liked the food but had better. However, I was able to get a huge chunk of my daily vegetable intakes from it so I'm happy. Doner Basket ($16.75): The portion is huge so we had leftovers enough for another meal. Their fried pita stick was hard so I wasn't a fan. You can customize your fries so we got mixed sweet potato and regular fries. The sweet potato fries are the waffle version and were clearly better than the regular fries where were starchy. We got beef, lamb, and chicken for our protein. Beef and lamb gyros were thinly sliced while the chicken was cut into cubes. The lamb didn't have a smell or gamey taste while the chicken was dry. I also didn't really like their falafel mix. The rest of the toppings went well with the salad. Street Cart Diner Wrap ($14.75): This was a big wrap that they cut in 2 for you; I ate one of the halves and was full. For my protein, I got beef, lamb, and chicken and felt that this wrap had more meat than veggies while the reverse is true for the Doner Basket. Nothing really stood to me about the wrap; everything blended in to create a homogenous wrap. I think there was a lot more flavors in the Doner Basket. Single Doquito ($7.50): This actually comes with 2 rolls and was the best item out of everything we ate. This is way better and like an elevated version of the Mexican taquito. A Doquito is a fried lavish bread rolled in feta, onion, and aioli. The flavors were on point and it was fried to perfection. It didn't get soggy even with all the additional toppings smothered on top.

The Berliner was my favorite. Didn’t like the Doner basket as much as the Berliner but it was still filling for the price. The Doner basket has everything in it and I thought it’d be more my speed but was just ok. Gives me lunch vibes or something quick vibes. Bartender was delightful, food came out fast and feels healthy. The beef-lamb meat is flavorful. Didn’t like the falafel. Strong and unique drinks. I’d recommend this place for a quick bite. $15 Flat rate parking garage near by. They should validate parking

Our search for Mediterranean food got us to Spitz in Little Tokyo. Surprisingly, I have crossed this place a couple of times and never tried it. The interiors are quite colorful, with almost a bar like feel. We were greeted by the staff who handed us a menu. You've have to order at the counter and the food arrives at your table. Since it was a Tuesday evening, they had happy hours for appetizers and drinks. It's was also game night and I must say, they had some great collection of games! We ordered Berliner fries, Street cart doner and Spicy Doner (both with chicken). The fries were delicious and crispy. It would definitely be a bang for your buck during happy hour. (I will come to that part in the end). Both Doners were huge! They seemed a bit dry but if you pair them with the sauces they have, it's pretty tasty. Okay tiny sad bit, when we checked our bill, the fries were not discounted (it was in the happy hour menu). Hence the -1 on the rating. Great meal otherwise! Would definitely come back here.

The bar server was amazing. Awesome attitude very accommodating. Only deducted stars because of the food, was a bit expensive for a little bit and the medi bowl meat was a bit dry.

Cozy place at little tokyo. Food has decent size. Flavor is okay, worth the price but not surprised. Ell taste good and not like those package pre-make microwave ones. Grilled yellowtail neck is juicy and fresh. Personally I hope it has more seasoning or salty. Fry thing(karage, tempura, spring roll) are just so so. I wouldn't order next time. Service is perfect. Waiters are nice and considerate. They offer 2 hour parking quota at the parking grage next door.

This is a popular restaurant on social media, and I came to try it out of curiosity. The portion size of their signature ramen is astonishing, with an overwhelming amount of pork. Even as someone who loves ramen, I couldn't finish it—the portion is just too intimidating. Friendly tip: for those with an average appetite, three people could easily share one bowl. The serving speed is fast, and both the tempura and fish skin salad are quite good. The sushi is very delicious. Now, about the drawbacks of the signature ramen: the noodles seem to be the kind that are bought in bulk, with a very average texture. Additionally, the broth is extremely salty, to the point where it feels like they added salt without any consideration. Moreover, it's clear that the broth contains MSG, which is very disappointing. Overall, this restaurant offers good value for money, and the prices aren't too high. There are always long lines, so if you're into trying out trending spots, you might want to check it out.

Very popular and busy restaurant at the heart of Little Tokyo in LA. However, we were very disappointed with the quality of the food. We ordered the takoyaki, the vegetable tempura, the agedashi tofu and the chicken karage. Except for the takoyaki, the rest of our food were substandard. The agedashi tofu was actually cold in the center. It’s very rare to find a Japanese restaurant serving bad food. Unfortunately we found one in Ramen Maruya in LA.

Bento box lunch special is a decent price for the amount of food you get, however the waitress doesn't pay to much attention in refilling your drinks, I was waiting for her to help me for about 15 minutes and eventually she noticed I needed water. Place was almost empty. Other than that everything else was good.

Could be a 4 or 5 star but… This place is crowded most of the time probably because of location and convenience of you are shopping in this area. It has a very nice appeal but slightly elevated prices. Service is good although I had to wave our server quite a bit because he forgot many things including food items we ordered. Our server had a pleasant demeanor and tried to accommodate us even with the busy atmosphere. Food was tasty but keep in mind that there are many ramen venues to choose from in this area within walking distance. I felt that servings are adequate but I’ve had better places for less even though this one is still satisfactory. Nice place and pleasant people and if you don’t feel like checking out several places this place is fine.

Food and drinks are solid quality and really good. The vibe is chilling and cozy at the same time. The only thing I would complain about is the service. The bartender girl with the white shirt and glasses was having an attitude the whole time and looked bothered when we started ordering. Also it’s like self-service which I don’t mind but I feel like they don’t really care the customers because of the way they treated us. I like the salad, so I would go to another branch but would never come back here again.

*Do not order from this location on delivery apps!* I used to love going to the Los Feliz location, so I thought I would order dinner for my household. It cost $100 for 3 entrees and 4 sides, even after a $20 coupon. When the order arrived, we only received 2 entrees and 2 (incorrect) sides. The only sides that we received were the fries in our combos, which were supposed to be the street cart upgrades, but neither came with the upgrade. In addition, the fries were extremely cold and stale, despite only being ordered 15 minutes prior. The only correct items in the order were the 2 wraps. Only half of my family were able to eat from Spitz. I received $35 as a refund, and to reorder the same exact items it was going to cost $50 before taxes, fees, and tips. I am so disappointed with the quality control at this location and unfortunately will not be returning to Spitz, despite the fact that I used to love going there. Don’t waste your time and money ordering from here. It will just result in a massive headache, lost money, and stale fries.

Went for lunch with my brother and his friend, we were one of the first groups there that day. The service was great, they were very attentive and polite. As for the food, we all got sushi and I could immediately tell that something wasn’t right. I got tuna and pretty early on felt like I was getting scombroid poisining, which I’ve gotten a couple times (I eat a lot of sushi.) I purposely did not finish my food because I didn’t feel all that well, and had a blistering headache the rest of the evening. As for the boys, they got primarily salmon and were very stomach sick later on. The sushi was the only thing we had all day, so we were pretty sure thats what made us sick. I rarely write reviews, but when something (that could potentially be dangerous) happens I feel responsible to inform other customers.

This is not Hakata ramen in any sense. The noodles resemble instant ramen, soft, soggy, and incapable of absorbing flavor. The broth tastes like plain pork bone stock with no tare, leaving it completely flat. The edamame was bland, the chashu was flavorless, and while the egg was acceptable, it did not redeem the bowl. This misses the fundamentals of Hakata ramen. I have seen other reviews calling this authentic and comparing it to ramen in Japan. Even the worst ramen I have had in Fukuoka was significantly better than this.

Hal Mer

The food itself is pretty good! The tonkatsu ramen tastes authentic — and that’s coming from us who lived in Japan for over 8 years. The gyoza was also delicious, and the rice was nicely cooked. Some dishes could be improved: the tempura wasn’t great, the karaage tasted a bit strange, and the saba (mackerel) could use more salt. Also, the wasabi isn’t the real Japanese kind. One downside was the staff’s reaction when I tried to compliment them. I said the ramen tasted authentic, and the response was, “This is America.” — male staff, speaking Spanish, short and plump. 13:16, Nov26 we went today. He is a bit aggressive and not very clean—just drops the food on the floor when he’s wiping tables. I think it might be because the staff aren’t Japanese and their English isn’t very strong, so maybe it was a misunderstanding — but it still came across as a bit rude. Overall, the food is quite good, especially the ramen, but I hope the staff can be a little more welcoming when customers try to say something nice. The owners try but the staff fails, 3 stars. And also you dont put a spoon like in the photo in the miso soup. Please change your old bowls. Toilet is so dirty. The small plates they do not wash but wipe with only cloth dipped in water—I saw a staff do this. I’m giving 1 star. The owner might be good but the staff are doing dirty pracfices.
