MiKaza is quite the experience. It’s located in the beautiful Spring Arcade Building and the food is just as impressive as the building that houses the restaurant. MiKaza bills itself as the first Niekkei sushi restaurant in Los Angeles. Just what is Niekkei Sushi? Well it’s a marriage of 2 different cooking styles, Japanese and Peruvian. Each item on the menu sounds familiar but each has a Peruvian twist. You won’t need soy sauce or wasabi for you rolls or sushi, each item comes jammed packed with flavors and any sauce or flavoring you’ll is right on the dish. I tried the surf & turf (shrimp tempura topped with wagyu beef), Parmesan scallops and the baked blue crab hand roll. They were all nicely excited and delicious. Check out their cocktails too. I had the Pisco 1-2 Punch and it was quite refreshing. It paired well with my meal. I was quite impressed with MiKaza. Opening during COVID was gutsy...I hope it pays off. It definitely helps that MiKaza is backed by Pablito’s.
I loved all the food it was all so good Jackie , I believe she was the manager she came over and greeted us and explained the backstory of the restaurant in which I LOVED ! We ordered Sushi : A Tiger Claw & the Samurai crunch , shrimp fried rice ( beyond good ) and we also ordered alcoholic beverages; the red dragon and a jungle Bird , they both tasted amazing and got us tipsy ! Then to top it off we ordered the passion fruit cheesecake which was also a hit . You’ll have to like passion fruit to like it 💗 we spent a pretty penny but it was ALL DEFINITELY WORTH EVERY PENNY !!! Excellent customer service and amazing food I will be back thank you Jackie and Our server Maritza who took our visit over the top !
Mikaza is delicious!! Margarita flights are a must!! The vibe is amazing, especially that it’s in the heart of L.A. All the sushi was great. My favorites were Toro Mata sushi and Cosmos Hibisus.
I got the ceviche sampler and a cocktail to go with. I was blown away by both, I've never had ceviche this flavorful before. It's Peruvian ceviche so it wasn't like the Mexican ones I've had. "The red dragon" drink was so delicious. I will be coming back for both food and drinks again. Servers were great too.
This place was delicious. I got the clasico ceviche & I fell in love. The ambiance was so nice. The food ...I give it a 10
What an amazing meal and the staff was amazing. I really recommend Peruvian sushi.

I highly recommend Mikaza to anyone attempting to step out of their comfort zone. They have a large menu with a huge selection of super yummy Japanese food. I was so impressed by the amount of flavor that was in every aspect of my meal. I also appreciated how the owner approached ups to ask how we enjoyed our meal. He was very welcoming explaining they were a well known restaurant. I let him know I’d be sure to tell everyone I know about my pleasant experience:)
Great experience. The ceviches are phenomenal. I only wish they offered tortilla chips (sorry I'm Mexican ok! Don't judge me). Staff was very helpful and attentive. The last samurai is a must try. Overall great experience.
Really excellent sushi and drinks. We came here on a Sunday for dinner. Place wasn't crowded so we got a table right away. Service left a little to be desired but the food was so good that it made up for it.
My daughter and I enjoyed brunch here today. I had the purple corn waffle and she had the berry pancakes! Delicious!! The hot chocolate was amazing!! and the best part of our experience was the service. Erika our server treated us like royalty.

The food here is very good the staff is polite and friendly..... I give this place a solid 3 stars but I have an extra star for service and cleanliness. The first picture is chicha morado - purple drink made with purple corn 🌽 - 4/5. Maracuya - Passion fruit juice 4/5 - Golden color and taste great Ceviche classico - 5/5 - the flavor blended perfectly and was very very good Scallops - 2/5 - presentation was a 4 ... Taste was a Salmon - 3/5 average but the pieces were larger. Tuna - 3/5 average but good size pieces Location - It's Downtown LA
I thought the name sounded like Spanish Mi Casa and it turns out this place is a Japanese/Peruvian restaurant. I've never been served chips and salsa with sushi. 😂 I got the shrimp and snow crab roll with vegetable tempura. Pretty good overall except for some reason, the wasabi was unusually mild. Needed a lot of it to taste it. Never got the nose fumes effect. Lol I'll probably come back to try the Peruvian side of the menu. You can find this place right at the entrance of the Arcade building pass thru walkway. Oh and service was quite fantastic 😊
Had good flavor! Good spot that’s gluten free friendly and safe. The staff was very friendly.

Pretty good sushi. Their Peruvian chef left recently so they don’t have their famous fusion entrees at the moment. If they bring back the chef I’ll bump up a star.

The beautiful display of sushi is probably trying to make up for the poor food. The sushi tastes very weird, they put in certain spices that are very strong and just don’t go well with everything else, which makes a poor flavor profile. Won’t be back. The server was nice, so 2 stars. Btw, on a Saturday lunch time, we were the only patron there, which can speak for itself….

1st picture is what they advertised for $80 chefs choice. 2nd picture is what they give you. I thought it was some kind of a joke when they first served me.

Went there with friends yesterday, the food was absolutely awful ! The passion fruit shrimp were ridiculously sweet, the clamps with cheese ( recommended by the waitress ) were extremely greasy. On top of it my wife got sick and threw up after the dinner. Don’t go
My dishes were shaking. The floor in my apartment was rattling so hard that it made it difficult to sleep. I've been to clubs and bars in downtown Los Angeles. The respectful bars and clubs usually had a sign that stated "please be respectful of our neighbors." Respect is something that the owners of this establishment removed from their limited vernacular. It's five f$%#ing in the morning, and I gotta get to work after going to sleep with some of the worst music to ever hit the billboard bottom 50. This place is a joke. Good news is, this lame restaurant does a horrible job keeping busy, do it'll only be a matter of time before they are evicted and the other tenants in the building can get can get sleep for a few hours. This place is trash. The management is trash. The music is trash.
Screw this place so hard. I don’t know what the hell kind of events they have on Saturday nights, but they have ZERO consideration for the fact that they share a building with residents. They’re so ungodly loud and disruptive. I’d rather choke on my own bile than give them patronage. Last week, Shaggy was blaring. Now it’s 80’s night. I write this halfway through Blue Monday shaking the daylights out of my apartment. How does it feel? Not good. Not good at all. ***edit*** what an unbelievably flippant response. They can’t answer their phone, but they can write an unapologetic retort. You guys having your club time is NEW. There was ZERO NOTICE given to tenants. Yes, clubs are all over downtown. So that’s an excuse to open one with no notice to folks who may be impacted? The Spring Arcade Building hasn’t housed any nightclubs near as disruptive as yours. The jazz club and Clayton’s (RIP) were both respectful. Your attitude matched your ambience. Complete trash.
Disappointed about the service and food. My friend and I came we ordered 2 drink. They only bring one. 15 mnts later after reminding the waitress about the other drink he bring it. 30 minutes later our food order was take it. We order 2 appetizer, whe. They brought the food they didn't give fork , spoon and napkins. I had to stand up myself to ask in the bar for all that. Appetizer were not to good. After ordering a main dish. My plate came first. After 25 minutes my friend dish came. 3 people next to us in another table left after 30 minutes wait and their order was never taken. Only They serve water. Food also not tasty at all and the white rice was not good. They cooked with to much water. Beef quality in the Lomo Saltado was super dry and onions not good. The beer was not cold. First and last time coming to this place. Won't recommend. Waist of money. Horrible server. Manager or owner please do a big improvement in this place.
