Awesome mochi donuts to rival all mochi donuts in the south bay. Great location in the market too!
Amazing mochi donuts. Must try. Really delicious and chewy
Definitely recommend the Mango Tajín donut! 10/10
Delicious twist on a donut. Had the ube, and the salted caramel. Coming back
Really nice staff and amazing food diversity.
Matcha & Taro are my favorite 🤩
Super delicious donuts highly recommend
Fantastic mochi donuts! At about $10 for a box of 3, very reasonable price. We got the Nutella, matcha, & strawberry. All were fantastic. And as an added bonus, they gave us a free donut as a surprise! Would come again for this warm treat :)
I couldn't even wait to get home to leave a review. Literally said wow about 10 times. Hands down my favorite donut place in San Jose.
It’s so good. The service to the the treat!!! I am in love with these little donuts!! I like the service there.
What a fun stop inside the huge San Pedro Square Market. Fresh donuts made to order. You can see the available varieties in the display window, then use the self-serve kiosk to place your order. Our order came out pretty quickly. And we finished almost as fast! We had the church, original, and raspberry mochinuts. Delicious!
Mochinut is a must-visit for anyone who loves unique and delicious treats. The Mochi Corn Dog is a game-changer, combining the chewy texture of mochi with the savory goodness of a classic corn dog. The batter is perfectly crispy, while the mochi adds a delightful twist to this popular dish. Each bite is a burst of flavor that will leave you craving more. The presentation is also top-notch, with each corn dog looking almost too pretty to eat. The staff at Mochinut are friendly and welcoming, adding to the overall enjoyable experience. Whether you're a fan of mochi, corn dogs, or just good food in general, Mochinut is definitely worth a visit. Don't miss out on this unique culinary adventure!
Excellent mochi donuts with a super soft and chewy texture! There were a variety of flavors so went with the Pistachio, Thai Tea, and Milk Pebble. The icing is quite sweet but the flavors are very nice! Located within the San Pedro market, an excellent place to try other foods around too!
We live in Monterey and have been waiting to try these Mochi donuts. I'm so happy we decided to go here! The self check out was so quick 👍🏼 I didn't realize the rice (Korean) corn dog was there as well!! Our first bite of the donuts were warm crispy and chewy 😋🤤 And the corn dog was just as good! See you next time !
I recently discovered mochinut and there was no going back! These donuts have a delightfully chewy texture thanks to the rice flour they use when making the donuts. They are also just sweet enough but not a huge sugar bomb like other donuts. My favorite flavors are strawberry and the churro but all of them are worth a try. They also have these amazing "corn dogs" that are breaded with things like crunchy ramen and hot cheetos vs. The original cornbread. These are pretty amazing! Overall the donuts are a bit of a splurge but worth it once in a while. They also have several locations.
We really liked the doughnuts. The dough is delicious, so much so that I thought it was better than the sugary frosting. We also had the hotdogs, which were fine, but not as good as doughnuts, which are the true stars. The pistachio-coated one was my favorite. Self-service order, quick, laid-down, friendly staff.
I had the ramen hot dog with no sugar and 3 mochi donuts. Ramen dog was very big and well worth the price which is nice. Imagine ramen stuck to corn dog batter and the ramen is also fried with it. To go boxes were very nice too (the dogs were held between these nice prongs to prevent any movement and mochi donuts had a separate box).
Cute shop with amazing mochi doughnuts!!! All the flavors feel great in my mouth with each individual bite and texture! 🥳

Months ago, on a whim I tried my first mochi donut here in a bustling San Jose food hall. It was delightfully chewy, slightly crispy, and possessed a sweetness delicately balanced with rich flavor. Ever since that day I've tried a mochi donut at every opportunity in my travels, and thus far have only tasted bitter disappointment. It's all overly sweet, flavorless, processed slop compared to that original proto-donut. I may never experience such gooey joy again. It haunts me. Corn dog was pretty good too.

Very delicious and the ube drink was delicious. One of the best i’ve drinks i’ve had. Took a star off cuz it’s pricey here
Enjoyed an absolutely delightful treat at Mochinut (Downtown San Jose) their mochi donuts are a perfect blend of chewy, fluffy, and flavorful. I tried the Raspberry Flower donut, and it completely won me over. The bright, fruity raspberry glaze was beautifully balanced, not overly sweet and paired perfectly with that signature light + springy mochi texture. Each bite was a mini celebration of flavor and fun shape! Highly recommend stopping by Mochinut for a bright, chewy raspberry mochi donut fix, you won’t regret it!
Glutinous flour based donuts. Yum! Not for everyone because of their chewy nature, but beautiful and tasty with a nice mix of unique flavors like matcha. Pricier than regular donuts though. Order via a kiosk at the booth, or on your smartphone.
Mochi donuts taste as expected and the corn dogs weren't bad. I think chun chung still has the better hot dog though!
amazing mochi donuts with a super soft and chewy texture! The icing is quite sweet but the flavors are very nice! Matcha was really sweet Chocolate was really good as the donut was sweet topped with dark chocolate making it a perfect combination
I love mochi donuts. They were warm, soft+chewy. We ordered nutella, matcha and ube flavors. One thing was that the flavors were not very different from basic one..

is it just me or does all the sj mochi donut places all have high prices? is the mochi donut a luxury donut or something?
Rating: 2.6/5 We ordered two hot dogs, which take about 10–15 minutes to make. I got the ramen hot dog with sugar ($7) while my brother went with the regular hot dog with sugar ($6). Sauces are an extra $0.50 each—we tried the sweet chili and Korean BBQ. The Korean BBQ didn’t pair well with the hot dog, but the sweet chili did. The ramen with sugar was interesting for a few bites, but after that the flavors didn’t really work together, even though the ramen coating was nice and crispy. The hot dog itself was just okay—they use the small pink hot dogs. Also, all of their hot dogs have a big batter bump, so they don’t look very clean or evenly made.
Different, light and fluffy, had the original and it was good. You have to order on a touchscreen and am old school, I want to talk to someone lol.

You order on your own— no interaction with people. I was really expecting a bomb Korean corn dog and it was bland:( I wanted the fried cheese to be good, but it lacked in flavor.
Kinda underwhelming experience, though the donuts themselves were fine. Appropriately hewy, and about the sweetness I expected (black sesame, not-to-sweet, the brulee one, rather sweet). Service is... unimpressive. - You order on a kiosk and of COURSE you're prompted to tip 🙄 despite there being absolutely no service whatsoever. - You don't get any indication of how long to expect your order to take (mine took about 10 minutes wait with 1 person in front of me). - You can order a minimum of three mochi donuts. And let me tell you, from personal experience, eating more than one in a sitting is not advised (my poor stomach). - You get a text when your order is ready, and then you grab the box that the service person placed on top of the counter and hope you grabbed the right one. No staff ever greets you, no staff will take your order, and of course, they don't offer you napkins or a wetnap or anything. Did I mention service is non-existent? Mochinut people, either service or do not service, but if you're not gonna service, don't prompt for a tip. Or... maybe try a bit of friendly service? As others pointed out in the reviews here, good luck if you have any questions about your order or potential order :(. Pricing: ~$12 (including tax) for 3 medium-sized mochi donuts.

I usually don't write reviews yet it was my 1st time trying mocihnut ever and I went to this one. I got the potatoe one I start eating it like mmm this is good get to the middle of the dog I'm thinking is this mayo inside the dog. So I ask my sister do they usually do this because she goes to the on Cottle road and she was like no...so my corndog wasn't all the way done white stuff was all in the middle of my dog. I will never go to this one again.
Ordered hot Cheetos hot dog but first gave me wrong order. After sent it back, eventually end up with Takis cheese dog. Need to improve service quality Appreciated
Very cute, but average taste. Better places for both mochi donuts, Korean corn dogs, and beverages out there - albeit this place offers an all in one.
NOT MY MOCHINUT! They had no Half and Half, they almost gave my order to a diff person and didnt even call out our name. The food was okay but experience was not it. Go to another mochinut. was not impressed.
My son was stocked to get his Takis Korean cheese corn dog and once it arrived he took a big bite and it was disgusting since they put some sort of sauce on it. We drove 40 miles in an almost $7 per gallon gas price for such a disappointing experience. Although I’m giving them a two star because the owner was nice enough to make us the right ones it’s just that first impressions last a lifetime. Please don’t destroy the Mochinut chain’s name. Train the cooks right or you’ll loose potential royal customers.
You should mention that an elote Korean dog means that it’s just covered in elote seasoning doesn’t have any pieces of corn? That literally means corn.

Saw employee using dirty gloves he was cleaning things with and then grabbing a mochi donut and adding toppings and frosting. Really disgusting and does not follow health codes
Never got a text for the order, sitting there for 40min, cold corndogs. If short on staff get more people. Don't use excuses, ur running a business
Nowhere near good as real MochiDonuts.. this place makes them overly waaayy too sweet and oily..
I never receive my dozen mochinut…i called them so many time it went straight to voicemail…very disappointed this ia a rate 0 place
Very disappointed. Had high expectations. I was the first customer in the morning at opening on a Friday. All the mochi donuts were fresh. I love mochi doughnuts: these did not pass the test. The main issue was the oily taste. The oil was not hot enough when the donuts were cooked hence they were way to oily, and the oil was old and needed to be changed or filtered. The taste of the old oil was off putting. Maybe just an off day? Perhaps they will be more attentive to the oil and the cooking. There is increasing mochi donut competition in San Jose!
I rarely leave negative reviews, but this experience was disappointing from start to finish. I called ahead to ask how long it would take to get donuts and was told 7–8 minutes. Based on that, I drove over. When I arrived, I had some questions about the flavors, but there was no one to speak with — all the staff seemed to be hiding in the back. The only option was to order from a self-service kiosk, which isn’t helpful if you’re new or have questions. I picked what I could recognize and placed the order. I then waited over 15 minutes, only to find out they hadn’t even started making my order. I was told the first batch was “bad” and they’d need another 7–8 minutes. I explained I was in a rush and asked if it could be made faster, and the staff member just asked, “Are you going to wait?” — no apology, no effort to help.
