Great service great food! Coming back for sure
OnDal is a hidden gem for authentic Korean cuisine, featuring hearty soups and stews packed with rich flavors. The welcoming staff and cozy ambiance create a truly comforting dining experience. I can’t wait to return and explore more of their delicious menu offerings!
Ignore the bad reviews, it’s just people complaining that they couldn’t bring a dog into the restaurant. This spot is where all the OG’s go for marinated crab. Service is always fantastic and the food is as good as my grandmas cooking.
First time here, SO GOOD. First of all, the crab is huge and packed with meat. The soup is super refreshing, you can also choose the level of spiciness to your liking. I personally think this place tastes better than a lot of the places in Korea that sell the same menus. I can't wait to come try all the other menus in the near future. Highly recommended. P.S. The staff were super sweet and accommodated our needs very well.
We had an amazing meal here! Ordered the monkfish stew (small) plus the sujebi for my mom and I and we left very full. Loved all the banchans too
The staff is very kind and the food is so delicious that’s why I come here often.
I love traveling to Los Angeles, and as I was going to visit Korean town, it means, I visited USA and South Korea at once 😁 this restaurant, located in a ground floor of a hotel "Home-tel suites" is just amazing. Their food is amazing! Fresh ingrediences combined with great cooking skills. I tried many various dishes, and fell in love with their kim-chi. Lovely staff is very kind and happy to explain details about dishes. As tourist, it was very interesting for me to observe the traditional Korean barbecue and the tables and equipment, that the restaurant has. I am familiar with European cuisine and this is very different even in therms of serving. I loved the experience! I have noticed, locals do go to this restaurant often, and you know, they say, when restaurant is often visited by locals, that means it must be damn good. And Ondal is! They are in their spot for many years and I wish them many successful years to come!
Authentic Korean restaurant. Seafood stew was good and a lot of variety of seafood. seafood pancake was very good, marinated crab was also good.
Seafood stew is a must and get the complimentary fried rice or sujebi afterwards. If interest is also the sea urchin uni rice bowl.
i come here for their steamed monk fish! its so yummy
Amazing traditional Korean crab stew and marinated raw crab. Deliciously dank. Been going for years. Great for to-go orders and eating over a few days if you’re grindin’. Amazing service from the 이모님. Ask for the fried rice or porddige at the end with the stew leftovers.
5 Stars! Ondal Crab House is an absolute gem! The food is incredibly fresh and flavorful, making it a must-visit for seafood lovers. The spicy octopus rice was outstanding—the octopus was so fresh, tender, and perfectly seasoned with just the right amount of heat. The live uni rice bowl was another highlight, with creamy, briny uni that melted in my mouth. Beyond the amazing seafood, their rice drinks were also a pleasant surprise—light, refreshing, and the perfect way to balance out the bold flavors of the meal. The quality of ingredients and the attention to detail in every dish truly set this place apart. Highly recommend for anyone looking for top-notch seafood and a great dining experience! Will definitely be back.
Their food portions are pretty large, and the food was really good. The seafood was so fresh.
Food is so goooood! Highly recommend! Service is also nice. Definitely come again
My friend have been craving for this for a long time😍 our top fav seafood stew in LA👍
Get the crab soup! It was recommended by a friend and she never misses. It’s definitely more of an OG flavor and vibes. I wish I wasn’t so full so I could’ve gotten the sujebi (hand pulled dough soup) in the crab soup. You know it’s real when non-Koreans complain about service on the reviews
Best seafood soup with lots of seafood inside!! Seafood pancake is the best too!
the beef rip and crab are super good. been here since 10yeard ago😁
Great food and friendly service! The food was fresh and flavorful, and the portions were generous. The staff was welcoming and attentive, which made the experience even better. I’d definitely come back and recommend this place to others.
I love their crab stew! I come here with my friends at least once a year!
Great food and friendly service! Great place!
This Korean restaurant truly blew me away! The place is spotlessly clean and has a super cozy vibe. The fried rice portions are generous, and the side dishes are absolutely delicious—major plus points! The service is fantastic too, with attentive staff who patiently recommend menu items. Overall, it's an incredible value for money. I'll definitely be back!
Food and service were excellent. The waiter was really nice and thoughtful. Great place. Definitely should come if searching for authentic Korean food
Authentic Korean restaurant, we had the seafood hot stew and pancake, they were tasty and the staff helped our first experience much better. Definitely recommend!
Very friendly staff, they have their own parking lot and the ladies serving us are very sweet. Food is A+, and we feel right at home here.

Try seafood pot and soup. All the things was very fresh. And good service. Some review says it's overpriced but it's cheeper than other place. Because korean seafood pot and another menu are different. You can see it.
The best place to enjoy Korean seafood dish. I been coming to this place for years when I craved seafood. You can select from a variety of specialty dishes and all of them are very tasty. No dish will dissapoint you. Fresh seafood, friendly staffs. 10 out of 10!
Wonderful and delicious experience! Great marinated crab and more. Arriving/planning: Takes reservations online which is very convenient! Parking in K-Town is usually challenging but there's an underground parking area clearly marked for Ondal Crab House and there's some street parking too. We went as a table of 4 and booked a couple days in advance and we're seated immediately. Menu/food/beverage: We were there for the uni rice and raw marinated crab but the interesting and varied menu meant we ordered more. Uni rice (large size, HUGE urchins) is a must, served to the brim and drizzled with some sauce before mixing gently and self scooped. Sweet, fresh, luxurious. The addition of soy marinated shrimp is a great value too. The raw marinated female crab came with two and were meaty and eggy, be sure to order portions of rice to stuff the shell and get all the flavors. The dough soup seafood stew is excellent and kept hot at your table on the stovetop. The seafood pancake is crispy, hot, and packed with chunks of fresh seafood, one of the best we've had. The banchan is fresh and well seasoned too, not too sweet. Service: The whole time the lady helping us was wonderful. Helpful with the menu, providing us gloves for eating, laughing as we reacted to the beautiful platters of food, hand-tearing fresh dough for the dough seafood stew, cutting every bit of the marinated crab for easy access. Instant favorite spot in Koreatown. Wonderful and already making plans to bring friends here next time they're in town.
Seafood options galore! Had their spicy seafood soup and myung bean pancake which was more than enough for our party of three. The Bandhan, service, and atmosphere were 👌.
Been coming here for years at this point and the food, service and ambiance are always excellent! Get the 아구찜/아구탕 and you won’t be disappointed! Portion sizes are very generous!

It’s so good The food delicious Service better than Garden grove location
First time trying Ondal Crab House. My family selected this restaurant and did all the ordering for our dinner. I didn't look at the reviews before eating at this restaurant. After eating, I noticed that the comments/reviews were on the negative side. Which raises a huge concern for me. This restaurant wouldn't have been my first choice. The octopus that we ordered was inconsistent of being tender. We ordered one sea urchin, and it seemed to be fair. It was hard to really taste the urchin because there were other ingredients masking the taste of the main subject. I would give the sea urchin a "B" for the presentation. I guess I'm too critical of this dish. Everyone else enjoyed it. We also ordered crab, which I didn't try, but my family enjoyed it. Overall, it was an average place and overpriced for what you get.

It's such a misleading advertisement (I started following them on IG several months ago, because they seemed so good). I traveled all the way from Colorado to take my sister here for her belated birthday celebration because she loves uni and crab. The first disappointment was being informed that uni was unavailable; next, the crab we ordered was nothing like what was shown in the video--it was extremely small, so I ordered another one and they turned out to be overly salty. The agoo chim (아구찜) we ordered contained only a few pieces of fish and mostly bean sprouts. Even their side dishes (반찬) were excessively salty, with the salad being the only decent item. I wish I had taken photos of what we were actually served. Ironically, I did enjoy their rice, likely because we usually eat brown and grain rice at home for health reasons, and I was also very hungry. I don't mind spending money or even paying significantly more when the food quality is excellent and tasty (especially on this special occasion once a year for her b-day), but I feel deeply disappointed and deceived. It's disheartening to take your favorite sister out for her birthday, filled with anticipation, only to end up disappointing her.
Soy source crab is too salty, it just too much I can tell. Maybe they not know how to make it well. Because of that I couldn't taste sweet crab meat at all, on top of it, too small size than price, tast was suck, too fishy and not fresh at all. I couldn't eat at all, I just thought it away.
Food was so delicious and service was great!
DO NOT go to this place. The restaurant discriminates against people with disability. I was trying to enter with my service animal, which I brought a training certificate and doctor letter with me. She denied my access, suggesting only deaf and blind people can be considered as having “disability”, said and I quoted: “you’re not blind or deaf, what’s your disability?”which made me feel sick. She didn’t even check my doctor letter, and didn’t listen when I was trying to explain that there are many types of disability that are not visible. I have psychiatric disability which I was in no way comfortable to disclose, nor did I have any reason/legal obligation to disclose. This is an awful experience. Heads up to everyone. DO NOT COME. I have raised a complaint with Civil Right Division at the U.S. Department of Justice, and will take every legal action possible for all that experienced.
Went to LA for a trip and followed a recommendation from Chinese social media. My friends and I were excited to try marinated crab, but as soon as we entered the restaurant, a staff member told us we couldn’t bring our dog inside and could only sit at an outdoor table. Despite repeatedly explaining that it was a service dog and showing the service dog certification and doctor’s letter, the owner acted as if they couldn’t understand or read English. They kept emphasizing, “Only blind and deaf people can qualify as disabled, and I don’t see that you have these disabilities,” “What kind of disability do you have?” “You can only dine outdoors,” “Take a good look at the notice on the wall (photo 2),” “We don’t allow emotional support dogs inside,” and “Your certificate doesn’t match the examples on our wall (photo 2), so you can’t dine indoors.” We stayed in LA for seven days, dining at Korean, Chinese, and Japanese restaurants, all of which were accommodating and accepting of service dogs. Not a single restaurant made such ignorant, rude, offensive, and discriminatory remarks. The owner of this restaurant crudely reduced disabilities to only hearing and vision impairments, refusing to acknowledge other types of disabilities. It’s hard to imagine how someone in their right mind could say such things. The notice on the wall reads: [Yes! Only service dogs are allowed inside the restaurant, such as guide dogs for individuals with mobility difficulties, visual impairments, or hearing impairments. No! Emotional support dogs are not allowed inside. Even if hidden in a bag, they cannot be brought in. If this is the case, you may dine with your dog on the patio.]
O. DEC 4, I had A GALBIJIM here, but it came with a hair in the food. It was so disgusting and their reaction was awful. Whoever is working inside the cooking room, they are not wearing hairnet at all. And they ask me to paid full amounts of food and pay the tips. So, i have paid in full
