yum. saw it on chef’s table on Netflix and knew I had to try it. As a new yorker, I can be a bit of a pizza snob so trust me, the 4/5 rating for food is quite high! they’re known for their white pizzas (blanco. duh.) but i’m a red sauce gal and man am I glad. the margarita is so good. the perfect amount of cheese and sauce and crust and basil ratio. the sonny was good but for some reason my crust was mushy by the middle and burnt on the outside. here’s a pro tip you didn’t hear from me - get focaccia. it’s perfection. then ask for a side of sauce. the tomato sauce is literally my favorite part of this restaurant and yes I saw whole foods carried it but I didn’t try it yet so I can’t vouch for it. other yummy parts were the gem salad especially with frisée and in-season cherry tomatoes. a perfect pairing to your pizza. the bonny melon salad with fennel was also sooo yummy. perfect amount of sweet and acidity. the argula grape salad was a lot of arugula so not really my favorite. mortadella was surprisingly more like a cooked cubed spam. also not my favorite. I prefer the thin sliced deli kind! personal preference love the servers and hostess!
Learned about Pizzeria Bianco via Netflix Chef's Table Pizza show and was so pleased it lived up to the hype. The location is in a revitalized industrial park with lots of trendy shops and Instagram photo ops. The restaurant offers indoor and outdoor seating in a really nice atmosphere. The service was fantastic. The menu is simple with a focus on quality. We started with the burrata with pesto and foccacia bread and we loved it. My husband ordered more foccacia to take home it was so good. We ordered 2 pizas: the wise guy and the margherita. The carmelized onions with sausage on the wise guy was heavenly. The crust on both pizas were perfectly crisp and cooked at exactly the right temp and time. The margherita was also outstanding. With such simple ingredients for the margherita, I prefer a sauce with a whisper of red pepper but all things considered everything else was so delicious I still struggled to resist the urge to eat way more than I should. For dessert, we indulged in the baked pear and it was incredible. I highly recommend getting it as it was a perfect way to cap the dinner.
No reservation, but server accommodated us with walk-in. Got a seat in no time since it was still early .. wanted to try this place since I watched the show.. glad we could make it there and the place is so much worth the hype.. Chris has definitely nailed the pizza bread.. two of us could eat two pizzas each without an iota of guilt 😝.. but we ordered Margherita pizza with olives , white wine, chickpea pancake and carrots appetizer.. we loved all the food and received great service.. lovely time at this place.. would love to visit again :)
The place has a cool, contemporary vibe, exuding upbeat, positive energy that'll lift your spirits. Securing a reservation was a challenge, but fear not—walk-ins are welcome! I played it smart with a strategic no-lunch move and scored a table right at dinner's start—totally paid off! Okay, let's talk food! The roasted carrots were expertly cooked to retain their natural sweetness. And wow, the accompanying celery root puree was a revelation. You'll want to dip everything in that creamy goodness. I even suggested they sell it as a side—it's that good! Next, the gem salad was refreshing, crisp, and oh-so-tasty. The fresh greens worked very well with the watermelon radish and complemented by a well-balanced dressing. Now, for the main event—the pizzas. The Margherita and Sonny Boy both were equally magnificient. Thin, light, and perfectly blistered dough. The quality ingredients and the craftsmanship that goes into every pie is evident. This place truly shines when it comes to their pizzas. I have been in LA for less than a year, but let me tell you: This place is one of if not the best pizza in town! They also offer an impressive selection of wines. Lastly, the service was outstanding as the staff was friendly and attentive, making me feel super welcome and well taken care of throughout my meal. Every aspect of the dining experience is a testament to their dedication to quality and flavor. It's a pizza haven where every bite is a passport to pizza perfection.
Food is good here. The service is spectacular. Just dined here with the wife celebrating our anniversary. Had a weird (ish) interaction after we left. The server asked if the service was good, presumably because we didn't tip. We reassured the server that the service was great. It was better than the food. The server relayed that it was a blow to them because they rely on tips to feed their families and pay rent. I could feel the sadness. With all the hype of the Bianco name, it's sad to know that someone could kick butt at work and still go home without enough to pay their team a living wage. They should do better.
Amazing pizza. The owner is an award winning chef. The chef award equivalent to the Oscars. The salami slice was a little salty. The green slice was interesting but tasted really good. The market alone was very flavorful but a little dry. The CRUST was so crunchy and crispy, I absolutely loved it. Service was good. Located in the DTLA ROW.
Got there early for lunch so no line. “New York style” slices are not New York style in any traditional sense, but the pizza is fantastic nonetheless. Primo ingredients, great balance between the acidity in the sauce and a delicate smattering of cheese…and the crust is light and airy with a nice char.
This was our first visit to Pizzeria Bianco. It was challenging getting reservations but we finally got in. It was worth the hype and we enjoyed the pizzas. We ordered Rosa, Wiseguy, Bianco Verde, margherita, focaccia, and a daily special pizza. My favs were Wiseguy and the daily special pizza with the yellow tomatoes. We were a party of 5 adults and pretty much inhaled all the pizzas. We ate outside and it was pleasant and they have heaters but it can get breezy so a sweater is recommended. All in all a very delicious meal, and the staff was very friendly, welcoming and attentive.
Honestly kind of blown away. What an amazing product at Pizzeria Bianco… we tried three pizzas and all were excellent but let me tell you something - eating the marinara pizza was like having a tomato for the first time again. I have no idea how they get so much flavor on each slide but it’s actually incredible. You MUST order 1 whole marinara pizza if you go or we can’t be friends. I’ll be returning soon to order 2 whole marinara pizzas for myself 😆. Also the wine was good too!
My wife and I love good pizza and this is really good! The marinara pizza was amazing and the wine Jesse suggested paired so well. We’ll definitely be back. @mpm_photo
Phenomenal. Best pizza I have had outside of Naples Italy. We tried every slice, each one is great it comes down to personal taste preference. Get there early as there is a line to order, but it moves fast. The mortadella sandwich was next level. It was also really cool to see Chris Bianco sitting inside upon arrival!
2 hr free parking in the row parking structure on weekends!! I arrived around 11:30, the line was already around the building. Waited about 45 min + 15ish to receive my food. Service was great. Pizza was good too, although a little salty for my taste. To note, lunchtime options are limited and run out fast. Seating and standing areas are limited. *Updated* I have made it in for lunch on a few more occasions now. And I absolutely love it!! Make a reservation and you will have a lovely experience.
Great pizza - worth the hype. Made a weekend lunch reservation and had no regrets. Kinda out of the way at The Row DTLA but had free parking so no complaints. Great food, quick service and a big bright airy room.
One of the top pizza spots in LA for sure! We loved our experience at Pizzeria Bianco, here are a few highlights: -Carrots w/ Celery Root Purée: this was our starter course and it blew us away! I wasn’t expecting this dish to be so tasty. The purée really took it to the next level. It was the perfect light appetizer before the pizzas came out. -Margherita w/ fennel sausage: this pizza was an absolute home run! The crust was delicately thin and chewy. The sauce was the star for me. The sauce was vibrant and tangy. -Rosa: this is an iconic Bianco pizza. Red onion, pistachios, rosemary. The flavors work very well together and you can tell the quality of each ingredient used. This is fantastic pizza you won’t want to miss. It’s in a great location at the ROW. Free parking in the structure a great vibe. Great date spot and highly recommend!
The pizza; always the pizza. If you've been to Italy and are looking for that Italian sit-down style pizza that you eat with a knife and fork because the center is so wonderfully thin, here you go. The space is beautiful and so is the service, and of course the prices reflect that. But the pizza is truly great.
Really great dishes with fresh ingredients. Enjoyed the Sonny Boy pizza. Market salad was absolutely a highlight! Getting seated may take a while but the nearby stores are fun to explore while you wait.
This pizza shop is great. I've been wanting to come here since it opened. I had the Sonny Boy pizza and it was delicious! The crust was very good and the soppressata and tomato sauce on the pizza was very good and not overwhelming the overall flavor of the pizza itself. I'd come back here to try the other pizzas along with probably having a drink. Reservations are recommended since this place gets filled, especially for dinner. However, if you go for lunch or early for dinner, you can usually find openings if you want to go on the off hours to try this place. The staff is very attentive and quick to ask if you need anything like water refills and whatnot. The atmosphere is really cool with the open concept feeling along with how the decor.
I really liked the antipasti and farinata that they serve only for dinner. They're one of the few places that serve farinata in LA. The market salad for lunch one time was made with melon and I loved it. Pizzas have good crust and chew
It all lived up to the hype. I've been following the excitement around Chef Bianco and always wanted to check out his Pizzeria. I tried getting reservations a few times but decided just to get there early and hopefully be able to walk in right when it opened, and that's exactly what happened. The food, service, and atmosphere was everything I wanted in a modern restaurant. Incredibly unique, vibrant food with great ambiance and incredibly friendly staff. Weiser Farm Carrots: We started with this dish and didn't expect too much, but I was delightfully surprised. The carrots were smoked perfectly, they still had bite to them and yet they weren't mushy at all either. The squash cream (or what I kept incorrectly calling hummus) was very yummy and had some good texture with walnuts and other good vegetables. Market Salad: So this wasn't a salad. This was a piece of art. The menu online is different from what was at the restaurant, but it was a Melon with Ham. The Ham was similar to prosciutto, but aged twice as long. When taking my first bite, I was able to get the melon, ham, and onions in one bite, and my mouth started dancing. It was like the old spaghettios commercials, there was a lively music festival in my mouth. The meat was thin but incredibly chewy, and while I'm not usually in the camp of mixing sweet and savory, this really hit different. Biancoverde Pizza: My wife and I had an intense debate over which pizza to choose, and while I don't think you can wrong with any, we were very happy with our choice. This pizza is definitely Arugula forward, but I was shocked by how much the arugula provided texture instead of the pure flavor. I noticed the pizza didn't have sauce, but the gooey cheese and sharp olive oil made an incredibly tasty bit, each time. The dough also was New York style with a good crunch, and I was shocked by how well the pizza stayed together. It really was an incredibly yummy pizza and definitely recommend trying it out. The service throughout the night was great. Our waiter was able to answer all our questions, and have thorough breakdowns for every dish. The plating was also high quality, the plates were delivered to our table warm, which is always a good sign. I strongly recommend you check this place out. It is at the Row which is a failure of a plaza from LA's standpoint, but there is stuff to do after your meal. We went to the cinema rooftop across the street after dinner which made for a perfect date night. Everything from the details to the big aspirations of an up and coming restaurant, Chef Bianco was able to deliver.
If you're reading this I'm sure you've seen the chef's table pizza episode, and read about his countless awards and recognitions..James Beard etc. Does live up to the hype?? Hell yes it does! We did the Calabrese salami pizza and if you want to say its simple ingredients you can, but it is the quality and perfect execution that takes it to another level. We also tried the mortadella sandwich...and was just out of this world. Go. Go now!
Visited the new Pizzeria Bianco in the Row in DTLA for lunch on a Saturday afternoon. As you might suspect, the line was long for takeout; however well worth it. Ordered a whole red pizza, and some marinated veggies. Sat outside on the tables in front of the restaurant. The pizza is as close to perfect as I have ever had outside of NYC. The crust is amazing, thin, slightly chewy, and perfectly baked. The red sauce is light, with just the right amount of fresh tomato taste and a little acid. Topped lightly with fresh mozzarella and basil. It was amazing. I've eaten at Pizzeria Bianco in Phoenix and DTLA and both are fantastic. They live up to the story depicted in the Netflix documentary. Enjoy!
Learned about this place from Chef’s Table: Pizza on Netflix. Honestly I had seen the looong line on Sundays and was scared that there was too much hype. So my advice is: Come to this place on a weeknight!!! where it’s not very busy and there basically no wait. Reservations are not necessary on weeknights. The pizza is solid, and the Rosa pizza is a MUST!!! I have never had a pizza with roasted pistachio on top, but it was really really good. One of the best I’ve had in LA. The dough itself is really yummy. We tried appetizers like the focaccia, carrots and market salad, but really the Rosa was the main thing I would absolutely back for. It’s a great casual place to sit outside and have a chill dinner at Row. Parking is free for 2 hours. I don’t advise waiting in a crazy 1 hour long line on weekends, there’s no need for that!!
Can’t believe we got walk-in seating! This place is usually booked out. Must’ve been my lucky day because I got to meet Chris Bianco, and it literally felt like my Netflix Chef’s Table dreams come true. Chris was so welcoming and friendly, and I loved that he’s actually in the restaurant managing it vs. being one of those mystical chefs who aren’t at the restaurants with their namesake. Ordered the Margherita pizza and was really wowed by the crust. Super crispy from that wood fire oven. What was also a surprising star of the show was the kiwi panna cotta! Unexpected flavors and refreshing. Highly recommend a visit if you’re in dtla!
I recently stopped by this pizza restaurant and had a really enjoyable experience. The atmosphere was pleasant—nothing extraordinary, but comfortable enough for a relaxed dinner. The wine selection was good, and although they don’t serve other types of alcohol, the wines they offer pair nicely with the food. The food was impressive across the board. The burrata was especially good—fresh, creamy, and a perfect start to the meal. The gnocchi was also delicious, with great flavor and a satisfying texture. And of course, the pizza was made perfectly, with a spot-on balance of ingredients and really great taste. It’s clear the kitchen knows what they’re doing. Service was okay—not bad, just nothing particularly memorable. Overall, though, it’s a solid place to grab a good dinner or even stop in for something quick. Worth a visit if you’re in the area and craving well-made pizza, quality wine, and tasty Italian dishes.
Excellent service, nice space. The pizza was great, well made, good flavor. Definitely worth a visit. Blueberry gelato ice cream was excellent as well. Wasn't able to try too many other items on the menu, but the Little gem salad was super plain, like a Cesar but with hardly any dressing, just iceberg lettuce, would skip that one.
Loved it. Great vibe, delicious pizza and cold beer. Thebplace is beautiful and the service was great. Plenty of sitting inside and outdoor. The pizza was crusty and the burrata was fresh and creamy. Really cool place for a small bite.
We had a nice meal here. Surprisingly the pizza was our least favorite item. The gnocchi was fabulous, the salad was simple and just perfect. The burrata was ok, could have used more bread and texture. The sausage fennel pizza lacked flavor (how!?) it was so soft in the middle, hmmm a bit of a disappointing surprise. Dessert was sorbet and it ended the meal on a good note. The space was beautiful but the service lacked. It took awhile for the server to come around to order additional items, to order dessert and to get our check. He was clearly in the weeds and didn’t try and hide hit haha.
Great stone oven pizza place with chewy, yet thin dough. Reasonably priced, 12 inch pizzas costing around $25. Very clean place with great modern LA vibe. But what I liked the most was the quality of service. The server was very attentive, kind, and professional; We were informed about the menu clearly and precisely in short amount of time, our needs were quickly addressed, and there was no conversation-interrupting "how is everything" questions. We felt like we were treated with respect, which is rare nowadays in LA. Lovely place.
This afternoon began with a simple request from my son: a smoothie from Erewhon. We wandered through the sun-drenched streets of downtown Pasadena, and then it struck me—Chris Bianco’s pizzeria was just around the corner. After today, I’m convinced it could be on the far side of the planet and still worth the journey. We began with the Little Gem salad and the antipasto. The salad was like tasting sunlight—crisp, delicate, and full of life. The radish slices offered just enough bite to wake up your palate, a bright introduction to what would come next. The antipasto was a quiet revelation. Each component—perfectly cured meats, glistening vegetables, and thoughtful textures—felt like discovering those ingredients for the very first time. Then came the heart of the meal: the Margherita and the Biancoverde. These weren’t just pizzas. They were essays in restraint and flavor. The Margherita was a masterclass in balance—airy crust, vivid tomato, silken mozzarella, and basil like a final brushstroke. The Biancoverde, creamy and herbaceous, was equally unforgettable. It was the purest expression of what pizza can be—humble, honest, and transcendent. To end, I had the stonefruit and mint sorbet—a quiet exhale after a symphony. It was like the signature at the bottom of a love letter to food. Chris Bianco isn’t just making pizza. He’s telling a story. And I’m still tasting the final chapter.
Ok, as so many others: we saw it on Netflix (last week). Loved the show, the guy, the concept. I loved it so much that I was prepared to travel to Arizona to check it out - only to discover that they had opened a location in Downtown LA. So I called some friends, and the five of us went yesterday. Bonus: we met Chris Bianco on our way from the parking lot - truly the great guy he represents on the street. Then: great ambiance! A true plus: this restaurant is not as loud as most LA restaurants. Then: food. Started with their focaccia: a blast. Then we shared another round, plus the antipasti plate, which amazingly did serve the five of us. I have been to a lot of places in my life - and it's rare that we really soak up the last morsel with the, I must say it again, truly delicious focaccia. Obviously, when being told that they had the world's greatest pizza, expectations are high. Really high. We ordered their two signature pizzas: The Rosa and the Wiseguy. We liked them. I am not a fan of onions; my friend Gerd would always opt for the thinner crust. Still, we enjoyed them. Was it the best pizza I've ever had? No. But then, in any other place I would have ordered a different pizza - and that's exactly what I will do when I come next time - and I can not wait to go again. For dessert, we shared the Panacotta and the Tiramisu, which were both delicious. Would I go again? Absolutely. Would I do a 30+ min detour just to dine here (mandatory in my rating scheme to achieve 5 stars): I did and will do again. Going through the ratings, I see a severe problem: the expectations created by the Netflix hype. What on Earth is the world's best pizza? We went with five, and all have different preferences: our friend Paul loves fat Supremes loaded with everything. I don't. Gerd loves this thin crust. I don't. Summarizing it all, I must urge you to forget the hype and take this place for what it strives to be: a Pizzeria. A pizzeria where the host has given a lot (a lot!) of thought to the few products he offers, in an inviting place, with friendly service, and convenient 2-hour parking just opposite the street. We have spent $160 for five (including tax before tip). We were well fed (I am 250lbs - a big eater) and most importantly, we had a great evening. This is the perfect, chill spot to meet up with friends for a cute, low-key dinner.
Sometimes the chef needs to say NO to the customer because that can cause you to ruin the food ..this is a place where I ordered the Rosa pizza and they didn’t allow me to add prosciutto.. it was great I love it this how the chef care about their food 💕 no all of them care ! The only advice would be to tell the people to wait a few minutes before they eat the pizza to appreciate the blend of the flavors and be able to judge appropriately the pizza. I tried the first slide and couldn’t experience the flavors because it was a bit too hot, but after a bit, the second slice was incredible, the bomb💥. I would definitely come back! The crust was perfectly cooked and the sauce was fresh and not excessive same as the cheese. I don’t usually eat the crust borders, but here I finished them off.
I have wanted to go to Pizzeria Bianco for a long while. I wanted to go to the one in Phoenix, Arizona, but I just have not had a chance to get there. When I heard that they were opening a location in Downtown LA, I was really excited. I just happened to be in Downtown LA, and I knew I had to go here. My Mom and I were able to get a table. We started off with the beet salad which was excellent. It was fresh, and everything in the salad tasted like it belonged together. We next shared a fennel sausage pizza. Their pizza has char similar to a Neapolitan pizza, but I loved the flavor of the crust much better. It was well worth the wait. We also talked with Sam, the VP of Operations for the California stores, and he really made my Mom and I feel welcome. I loved the experience, and I definitely would love to go here again. Everything was worth the cost because you are getting quality.
I can’t say enough about this place. One of the best authentic Neapolitan pizzas you can find in all of SoCal! The ONLY complaint was one of the pizzas had too crunchy of a crust. Not sure if it was old dough or maybe the oven wasn’t hot enough so it sucked the moisture out of the dough. Other than that though everything was spot on! Been here twice already! Can’t wait to go again!
We knew we would love the pizza - but we were also delighted to have loved the dessert and appetizers!! The panna cotta was absolutely divine - light and refreshing. The flavors in each dish were complementary. You can certainly tell that the ingredients were chosen thoughtfully and favored for quality.
Not a large menu, but what great taste. A bit pricey, but delicious. One of the few places that had non-tomato based sauce. The sausage was perfect. I added prosciutto to my pizza which added its own unique and flavorful taste.
I wholeheartedly commend this establishment. It provided an exceptional experience, highlighted by the outstanding quality of the pizza. Our server, JB, significantly enhanced our visit with exceptional quality service.
Our meal here was very enjoyable! Free parking in a garage. Restaurant location was great and the ambiance was nice. Service was friendly as well. The best part was their special pizza that included bacon and persimmon - probably one of my favorite pizza flavors of all time!
The food is amazing! We tried three different pizzas and they were all delicious! The tomato sauce is the best anywhere and the crust has the perfect amount of chew and tang and flavor. We also had a delicious salad that had a subtle but flavorful dressing and was so beautifully balanced with sweet notes and sour notes. Overall a real delight! Would 100% recommend!
Pretty good pizza but not the best. They offer 3 types with tomato sauce and 3 types without. Both of ours had the sauce, and although the crust on the outside edges is nicely charred and tasty, it can't stand up to the moisture from the sauce and toppings. The middle of both our pizzas was limp and soggy, but the ingredients are good quality. We started with the Little Gem Salad and a Market Salad that were both very lite and enjoyable. The space is beautiful, but the service while it started off strong fell flat halfway through the meal. They got busy while we were there and our waiter lost his groove and forgot about us. After waiting a while had to wave them down. I would go back if at DTLA again, but would probably try one of the sauceless pizzas.
I was truly hoping and expecting to be completely floored by Pizzeria Biannco and now after visiting and trying the Sonny Boy, Margherita and the Wiseguy along with a surprisingly good red wine from Mendocino, I can now say although the pizza here is quite good, It's not the best I've ever had. I can definitely see why such praise is given as the freshness of the ingredients are undeiable, But the crust was unfortunately a bit soggy towards the center of the pie and was lacking the crisp crust that is so desirable for me personally. The highlight of the selection was the Wiseguy, The combination of the fennel sausage and caramelized onions were a perfect pair and that can't be overstated, It was surprisingly delicious. Although completely different dining experiences then this, Pizza for Pizza Locally a superior pie can be experienced at Bonello's New York Pizza in San Pedro or Mulberry Street Pizza in Beverly Hills or for truly the best pizza imaginable pizza a trip to Di Fara in Brooklyn, all humble spots not offering anything near the upscale dining experience offered here at Pizzeria Biannco But again pound for pound superior pizzas. I don't mean to discredit Pizzeria Biannco Simply share my experiences with truly world class pizzas. In conclusion if you are looking for a nice date night out and want to try a unique and delicious pizza then a Wiseguy pie and a bottle of wine at Pizzeria Biannco is a solid choice.
I had heard so many good things about this place that I believe I was let down... largely due to the service, or lack thereof. Pizza crust was good and if I do decide to go again I'll try the Margarita it looked pretty good. My server never returned to see if I wanted another beverage or needed anything else. Respectfully Reviewed.
Pizza is one of the best in town. Crust is amazing. I loved what we ordered but it was certainly oily. Onions and pistachios and Parmesan make a great pizza - I know that now! Was excited about the focaccia - but truth be told, Felix is better. But pizza is amazing, must go at least one, if you haven’t been!
Came here with my family for an early brunch at 11am (right when they opened). I would recommend making a reservation as it was quite busy the closer to noon it became. Reservations can be made online in advance. Free two hour parking (no validation necessary) at the Row garage. Two gender neutral restrooms can be found in the back right of the restaurant. Indoor and outdoor seating available. It is both kid and dog friendly. We ordered the following: - Spiedini - of course prosciutto wrapped around melted cheese would be tasty, but this was a tad on the salty side. However, the arugula side did help offset that, so eat them in conjunction for balance. - Market salad - the apples were crisp and the pancetta added a nice burst of tastiness in amongst the greens. - Rosa pizza - our waiter recommended this as did other reviewers. I didn’t know what to expect but the pistachios were a nice touch. They were finely crushed and the thinly sliced red onions went well. - Sonny Boy pizza - this was a standard pizza and the olives were a bit too salty for my taste, but good if you’re a fan of soppresata. - Olive oil cake - the whipped cream wasn’t too sweet and they added mandarins on the side for additional sweetness. I liked the texture of the cake. Check out my reel on IG: @dinewithshanelle
Pizzas are top notch. Fantastic dough and tomato sauce. My waiter was pleasant enough but disappeared for some time and I was left sat waiting to pay. Building is cool, but much of the seating is pretty uncomfortable. Its worth the visit just to make try the pizza.
Great service and cool spot. Felt like the food was tasty, but the portions were very small for the price. Especially give the low cost of this genre of food. Fun area to walk through. The retrofitted the industrial area to a commercial space. A bit pricey too..
While Pizza Bianco boasts of the best Neapolitan pizza, my experience was marred by significant discomfort. Firstly, our waiter was aloof and inattentive. Secondly, the ambiance, especially the window seating, was shockingly uncomfortable. Imagine sitting for your meal on a hard linoleum surface with absolutely no back support – that's the reality. Even a short meal became a painful experience. It's perplexing that a restaurant aiming for a high-end reputation would overlook such a fundamental aspect of customer experience. While the pizza was also a letdown for me, the sheer discomfort of the seating is what I'll remember most. Unfortunately, my visit to Pizza Bianco didn't live up to its reputation for the best Neapolitan pizza, a sentiment I feel qualified to share as someone who makes this style of pizza at home regularly. The Marinara pizza was decent, with an okay sauce and crust, but the cheese simply wouldn't stay on, resulting in bites of mostly crust. The crust, while crispy, also had a tough center. The Biancoverde was even less impressive; the overwhelming cheese flavor was overpowering, and the arugula didn't quite fit. We actually had to ask for marinara on the side to make it more palatable, as it felt like it was missing a complementary flavor. Overall, the pizzas were a disappointment Making the evening even more disappointing, this was my birthday dinner, a detail mentioned in our reservation, yet our waiter was aloof and completely unengaged. It would have been a nice touch to at least acknowledge the occasion. Overall, the pizzas and the lack of personable service made for a very underwhelming birthday dinner.
Was excited to finally try this pizzaz. Ordered for takeout, service was fast and friendly. I ordered a biancoverde and a salad., 50 bucks. Pizza was greasy it had a lot of cheese which usually is a good thing but there’s a fine line when the toppings compromise the structure of pizza. It probably would have been better had i eaten it there. Overall could have been better as for taste, crust was crunchy but not as plump as I was hoping for. Maybe it was an off day.
I had really high hopes for this place seen as the reputation precedes it and it is known as one of the best pizza places in the country. I read Biancos cookbook many times but it seemed like his passion didnt radiate into this restaurants pizza. For starters the wise guy pizza looks very different in the pictures, the bread is good but the sausage was very salty and not appetizing, which is the main ingredient. The cheese and other ingredients are nothing to write home about. So much potential but it seems this new location doesnt have the quality it is famed for. And at 26 bucks it is pretty expensive and not worth it. Cool location in the arts district though.
Food taste & quality was very underwhelming. We tried the Sonny boy, Biancoverde, Wiseguy. In my opinion all 3 pizzas were subpar. We got the house salad as well, a 3/10. The one thing we all loved was the Carrots were the best item on the menu, a 8.5/10. The carrots were cooked good and the sauce was delicious. Our chef Victor was our server and he was amazing. Amazing service and atmosphere is nice and modern. I would not come again.
Review 2 (8/11) Good food is no excuse for bad service. Review 1 I dream of the Rosa pizza! Had it the first in Phoenix and it changed what I felt a pizza can be. This outpost of pizzeria bianco is phenomenal. Well lit tall windows, tastefully decorated , comfortable booths and stellar pizzas. Don't sleep on the focaccia, it is simply the best
