Point Lume

I've been other iterations of coffee shops in this space and none have impressed me as much as Point Lume. First of all, the addition of all the plants has turned it from an average space to a lovely one--a nice place to meet a friend for coffee or even to sit and work. And the espresso is very good! I had a decaf, almond milk latte and really enjoyed it. Also nice--you can chose your size of beverage. It's not just a little 10 or 12oz cup. I went for the medium, which was 16oz. They have lots of to-go food options that looked great, including an impressive number of vegan options.

I’ve been a regular to this particular location for over 12 years, under different coffee companies and managers. I’ve recently became a regular to Point Lume Coffee Bar, and I have to say, hands-down, in the 12 years that many coffee companies have come to this location, this is the best. Their coffee drinks, teas, and pastries are delicious. The staff, every single one, have been outstanding. I hope this new company stays for a while. They are amazing..

Our flight at LAX got messed up and we came here. It could not have been a better decision King was so positive and helpful. Both him and Gael made the start of what was a rough trip so much better. They made us laugh and had genuinely the best coffee and matcha. The atmosphere was excellent. This would be a go to spot if we were local!

I get my usual iced vanilla, oat milk latte here at least 3-4x a week. Great service, the friendliest staff, clean space, good music, great study atmosphere, hard working owners, and good coffee. I have only good things to say because I used to visit this location when it was a coffee bean and well… we saw that close down. I didn’t miss it but hoped we’d get a specialty coffee spot and here we are. Thank you for the lattes and the service! Oh and shout out to the plants that make me feel like I’m in a lofi cover. 🌱

There were fresh baked croissants. FRESH BAKED CROISSANTS!!! The oat milk latte was delicious and the music is very calming, perfect for grading and studying. The croissant was so good :')

It’s a beautiful family owned and operated place, my favorite new spot! Great and wide selection of delicious coffee and tea drinks. Yummy variety of veggy delights also available if u want to grab a light but filling snack on the go. The staff is super friendly and accommodating! I highly recommend it!

I was visiting from Denver this weekend and we went to Point Lume every morning! Not only was every drink I had absolutely delicious- the service was exceptional. You can tell this place is very well lead by the owner; the employees are incredibly kind and happy.

Our flight was delayed over night and Point Lume came to the rescue with some delicious coffee in the morning! The staff was super kind and helpful, and they even figured out how to use our airline meal vouchers. If you’re in the area and you need a coffee, I cannot recommend this place enough!

This place is convenient for residents who live in the apartments above, but if it weren’t for its convenience I wouldn’t go here. Coffee is typically burnt, workers forget to make your bagels and give nearly frozen cream cheese. The owner is nice, gives discounts to residents and students, but I wish the quality was better. This place used to be a chain coffee shop, and the quality remains the same as one.

Pretty basic and unexciting coffee shop. Interior is dimly lit but mainly gets light from the exterior. Many sad looking plants hanging on the ceiling that seem to have an interesting irrigation system that might not be working super well. Lots of tables and chairs and wifi though so could be a good sleeper cafe to do work at.

Their coffee is pretty good, but their matcha (if you can even call this matcha) is the worst matcha I’ve had in my life. It is a pale, sickly green color and tastes foul. The oat milk was the strongest flavor and it was off. The lavender was practically nonexistent and I’m thinking it was the ingredient that caused the ever so slight hint of Lysol. EDIT: the issue with the matcha is probably not the barista, but rather the quality of the matcha powder itself. It didn’t impart much matcha flavor and it was the wrong color. A higher quality matcha powder could do you all some good!
