onion rings the best ever super crunchy outside onion perfect inside. fish and chips were so good too. friendly staff ate outside so nice.

It's nice to go into a truly honest, no frills, dive bar that isn't trying to be something else. There's food, basic cocktails, sharp and friendly bartenders, and some of the place doesn't have a roof.

Wings are huge! Beer is cold. They have patio seating during the covid times. They want you to buy food because of the limited space. So if you just want to drink, probably not the best option right now.

Nice low key dive with a beachy atmosphere. If you're tired of the modern hoity toity "dive" style of hipster bars the area surrounding playa del rey is known for, then check out this place. They also have magnificent food at great prices. Yep... PO Dubs is the place.

This place is LEGEND! I’ve never been here proper and now that I have I know why people love it so much. Vibe is chill, locals are chill, bartenders are chill. It’s perfect.

UK Sarah is fabulous, friendly and great. Encourage you to try the daytime drinking crowd in Playa. Burger deal is amazing.

Lots of space to sit and spread out. Great for private events as they have separate rooms and patios.

This is one of my favorite places for fish and chips, just remember to tell them to not make the french fries too crispy oh, other than that it is Yum Yum :-)

Rocky and the Prince O’ Whales are the epitome of what a bar is supposed to be. The music isn’t too loud, the prices are reasonable, and the whole place makes you feel like family. I wish I lived closer to visit this place weekly instead of only on vacation.

I went with some friends for karaoke night on a Thursday. It's hosted by Kiki and she was amazing. The vibe was friendly and supportive. It feels like a hidden gem.

This review is late (because of the Covid). Classic dive bar with many rooms inside and outside. Also karaoke nights . Usually younger crowd like university students. Decent selection of drinks. Parking is limited, and probably you have to park in nearby streets.

Come in after a swim or before one, too :) Prince O' Whales is a fun, inviting place to spend an evening. Regular schedule of live music, energetic crowd, friendly staff, and reasonable prices. It's a fun place. If you like to have fun, you should go :)

I went here on a Sunday afternoon, so definitely off hours. There were a couple of different rooms, but only one was open when we were there. It was a pretty standard dive bar with some bar food, darts, some pinball machines, and a few TVs. Nothing too special one way or the other, but a fine place to drink a beer.

New in the hood, got nachos and their famous fish n chips. FNC were good, not the best ever but nice. The nachos were pretty terrible actually, no melty cheese but dried up and solid. Going to give them another chance. The crowd was cool for a 49rs vs Seahawks game

I would of given a 5 out of 5 but the older lady bartender who was working during the time, came up to me and said an unnecessary comment to me while my friend was walking in. Repeat again, while my friend was sitting down. I didn't do anything for her to provoke her to be rude towards me. We simply avoided using her service and went to the other bartenders for more beers/food, the older male and younger female.

Is it a dive bar? Yes, in every sense of the word this is a dive bar but do they have cheap drinks and some of the best chili you’ll have in LA that is also true. Live this place so much and always return when back in town!

Nice little dive bar. Food isn't bad. You cant get an old fashioned here. You gotta order plain drinks. It's indoor-outdoor. I can see it getting pretty roudy on the weekends.

Went to this bar down the street from my new job and it was a little odd, I was lucky to get a seat bc it was a hole in the wall bar with no way to interact with the bartender, as soon as I squeezed in between three rocker dudes to get my order out the way, one beer and a order of chili cheese fries, I got charged 27.00 dollars and waited fifteen minutes for my food, beer was flat but the chili fries were awesome! Only odd things I experienced was the bartender needs to loosen up old Bill Murray lookn guy never smiles, looks extremely tired when taking orders, and I got weird questions asked to me by ppl there like “is it okay if i change the music”? Or do u work here? Bc I was chilling in the back of the bar, all by my self away from everybody

“Decent” local dive bar, nothing fancy at all and you get what you get. Just don't get too tipsy and leave something. They have a lost and found and even though you call to tell them when you'll be picking, the manager seems to magically "throw things away" before you get there. Surprisingly there were other things in the lost and found, just not the t shirt I called about before I came. ‍

Literally had the bouncer chokehold me out of the bar and I'm a female who weighs 100 lbs. all I did was try to get my card back after waiting an hour an a half for food that never came. Sheryl refused to give me my card and I was chokeholded out of the bar. Will be looking into legal action
