Oh my god, words can’t even describe how good the spicy tuna tempura was. The second I bit into the savory roll I knew I’d yearn for it (I’m not from cali). That being said, if you’re thinking about going to this place GO. I also had the hot udon, and crispy tuna toasty and it was so busss. I’m eternally jealous of people who can come here as they please, and, as a semi-broke tourist this is by far some of the best sushi I’ve had in all of California.
A bit pricey but every dish tastes amazing. Parking can get a bit hard to find because there is no immediate parking lot. I highly recommend the caramelized banana for dessert because it just melts in your mouth and the flavor is there.
In town for a conference. My Foodie daughter highly recommended Sweet Fish. You all did Not disappoint. Very fresh sushi and great customer service. Definitely will visit again when I’m in town.
The Sweet Fish is a good local sushi bar in the area. The sashimi is a tad overpriced but the rolls are very good. I would wait until early lunch or dinner time to go. The kitchen is out of commission from 3pm to 5pm.
Salmon (teriyaki w sauce on the side) bento #1: generous salmon cooked to perfection, melt-in-your-mouth moist w subtlety balanced seasoning. Tempura light absolute crisp. Brown rice spicy tuna - WOW! Even the cucumber tsunomono was exceptional, super fresh and flavorful. FRESH QUALITY INGREDIENTS. MASTERFUL EXECUTION. Excellent service. Reasonable prices. We'll be back.
5 stars!! Highly recommend the Pink Dragon sushi. Delicious, delicate and well balanced
The best sushi & yellow tail collar, came back for the 2nd time for tuna fish collar, yes I when to the same place the 3rd time ordered the same dishes it soo good it's the best thank you

Went here again recently and had super sushi, ramen, and appetizers. Sit at the bar and watch Chef Jason work his magic and talk to Beto who always has a smile on his face. Sweet Fist is on my short list of favorite restaurants in all of LA.
Been here many times. Always a great experience, fresh food, great service. Great place to bring your family & host business dinners!

Came here for a quick bite after a hike today. Establishment is situated in a prim neighborhood area - small space but w/ outside seating available. They run a happy hour of 20% off the entire bill from 4-6, which is pretty good actually. The food was okay, no comparison to Bluefin or Sugarfish - but still tasted fresh and presentation was adequate. Unfortunately found a small, sharp bone in one of the Chirashi bowl sashimi as I was chewing it (luckily didn’t injure myself) and I kindly let our server know so they could prevent a future instance. This review salvages an extra star at 4 due to our server Marie’s attentiveness and professionalism. She was very personable on the get-go and puts a lot of effort into her service - we appreciate your time, thanks! ***for the rest. staff: The bone was in one of the white pieces of fish on the bottom left of my chirashi bowl photo

Food is decent. Nothing special. Very average tasting sushi. Prices aren’t terrible but what ruins the place is the customer service. Terrible service, slow, incorrect orders, incorrect bill. Won’t be back

Disappointed today. Was looking forward to a "little-under-the weather” treat of hot soba noodles. Ordered online for pickup. First failure: I received udon instead of soba. Unfortunately, I didn't notice until I had left. Second failure: The toast app was misleading about the pickup time. As a result, my tempura was already cooling and soggy when I arrived. Must’ve been ready early. I got a single status text confirming my order but nothing further. Something like “it’s ready now!” would’ve been helpful. I called the restaurant to let them know I got the wrong item. I could’ve come back in but I was already at home. They offered a “discount” next time I ordered, as in I’ll need to say “You said I could have a discount!!!” Which will totally work, right? What if I come back in 3 months, will it still work then?
Service was absolutely excellent. The waiter was very nice and helpful The sushi fish was fresh tasting but missing flavor for the most part. The poke was good but including sea urchin was an interesting choice The edamame was good.

Copy cat Japanese restaurant. Food not flavorful. Ambiance, not Japanese. Lighting is too dim-read the menu. No miso soup served. Pricy.

AWFUL!! I should have just believed the negative reviews online when it said overpriced mediocre sushi. That wasn't even the worst part, the customer service was horrific by the sushi chef and the supervisor was just as bad. They served me steaming hot sushi rice with my raw fish (gross). When I simply asked for room temperature sushi rice, the sushi chef said no. I thought this was a super reasonable request. I asked for the supervisor, who came across as an arrogant jerk who basically shrugged it off and blamed everything on miscommunication and said it was a simple request. Forget the fact that I spent 5 minutes going back and forth with the waitress who kept asking for the room temperature sushi rice from the sushi chef, who you could tell just by his demeanor was just as arrogant as the supervisor. Sashimi slices were super expensive, thin and tasted very mediocre. The place is a dump. Our waitress was the best part of the experience. Super nice. She seemed embarrassed by the lack of customer service provided.
Previously ordered from this restaurant multiple times per week. Same thing every time. This evening they got the order incorrect because the representative misheard me. She told me she would remake it and come back and pick it up. Typically, you don’t take food back as a restaurant as that is a health violation. The manager specifically informed me they would use the food for other orders if they came in. That’s absolutely disgusting. Poor customer service has lost a loyal customer who always tips the staff properly. They refused to give me the new order because I didn’t bring in the previous order. I left out of frustration. Sugarfish is much better. I only go here when I want quick sushi. Will visit Whole Foods’ sushi bar from now on.
I've been coming here sporadically for several years and more consistently in the last several months. The food has been good, Josué is a great waiter and Jason is loved by all the dogs in the neighborhood including mine; he likes to generously feed them when he can. If it were for them, I would give this review 5 stars but it gets only 1 for the following: The owner Al is a perverted sleazebag creep. There were two ladies having dinner at the table next to mine when he barged into their conversation and initiated inappropriate dialogue. He began by talking about relationships and asked one of the ladies very personal questions, such as, "did he like to have sex often?" when pertaining to her mention of her ex husband. He asked her if that was the reason why she got a divorce following consecutive questions that were very personal. There was even a moment when he blamed her for marrying her ex husband. Sadly, she answered every question as though she didn't have a choice. He was on fire with back to back questions which also included talking about his personal life. He shared that his wife would need to have something he could benefit from since he's been the breadwinner in relationships. Adding that he doesn't like to have sex at his age despite being into it but now loves physical touch. He said a bunch of other vulgar statements. When he left, I expressed to the ladies that I found the owner to be very inappropriate. They both immediately agreed. One lady shared that she knows him and was shocked to experience him in such a way, adding that he was asking her friend whom he had never met before all the sexual questions. The ladies left so I took it upon myself to speak for them & myself. I expressed to the owner that as a regular customer, he made me feel very uncomfortable with his inappropriate sexual dialogue with the ladies. His response and behavior further confirmed the person he had already shown to be. He replied arrogantly and with a sense of entitlement, " oh yeah, why?" I told him I wouldn't be wasting my time explaining, and that all he needed to know was that he made me feel uncomfortable and also the ladies who had agreed to his inappropriateness. He ignorantly responded, "well I know them" as though if knowing the women somehow made his dialogue acceptable. I smirked responding, "No you don't. You know only one of them and ironically the one that you don't know is precisely the woman you were sexually interrogating." He had no choice other than to have another ignorant comment, he replied, "well then I will apologize- to her" I replied, "you do that and as a regular customer I won't be coming back" and without any care he said ok and left. What a way to treat regular customers whom you've benefited from. We are the reason for the existence (and shut down!) of a business. If you're a male business owner, learn from this review on what Not-To-Do to female customers. 101 for dummies! If you're a woman, you're not safe to visit. Not to mention your voice won't matter if you have constructive feedback. Do yourself a favor and go have sushi elsewhere- the beauty of SoCal is that there's amazing sushi restaurants with excellent customer service at every stop.
BEWARE - This restaurant does not take allergies seriously. This is not a safe place to eat. I brought my allergy card to the restaurant, reviewed it with our server and she reviewed it with the kitchen. I was assured they understood my allergies and could prepare my order safely. I took a few bites of an item and quickly realized it contained one of my allergens. I immediately asked and the sushi chef who prepared my food confirmed it did in fact contain the allergen and turned his back on me and blew me off. Neither he nor anyone else asked if I was OK or needed medical attention. Me and my lunch mate were shocked and disturbed by their complete lack of concern. Shame on them. Mistakes happen, but what should never happen is endangering a customer and then completely disregarding their well being.
I always strive to support local businesses, particularly mom-and-pop, brick-and-mortar shops. However, my recent experiences with Sweet Fish have made this challenging. For two consecutive weeks, I’ve ordered takeout and requested a simple addition of extra sauce. The first time, I chose not to return when it was missed. However, during my second visit, not only was the extra sauce forgotten, but the rice was missing as well. I took the time to walk back to address the issue—twice—and when I finally spoke with the manager, I felt they were defensive from the start, which made the situation even more frustrating. I genuinely want to support businesses like yours, but experiences like these make it difficult to justify returning. I hope this feedback helps improve customer service and attention to detail moving forward..
