First our timing was perfect-we found a parking spot right in front is Cinco’s. We dined in the covered outdoor area with lots of room for social distancing. Staff was very friendly and helpful. I ordered the beef burrito-important note here, burrito was steak with rice, no sour cream, onions or salsa served with the burrito but that was the style. The steak was high quality meat. While eating the burrito no more effort to eat the steak was required than chewing the rice ingredient, very tender meat!

This is a great option for drinks and Oaxacan/Mexican food when someone has a couple hours of layover at LAX. I like to take my friends from Asia because they have often never had Oaxacan food and good Mexican is hard to find in Asia. It's less than 10 minutes from LAX but far enough away to not feel like an airport location. Parking is easy, happy hour is good.

This was the first time I had been to Cinco. My mom loves it there. I can totally see why. It was great and the food was delicious. The drinks were great and the service was wonderful. I would definitely recommend.

Came here for Happy Hour recently and boy was it great! Cheap burritos, tacos, and drinks in an awesome dining experience. If you are looking for a place to end your day and wind down, I can't think of a better place than Cinco!

We had a large group for a business dinner 30 people. We were supposed to be outside but due to weather we were inside. Being inside wasn't great people were not able to mingle. The food was good and there was plenty. The drinks were good too.

One of the best micheladas in all of LA, hands down. I get one (or two) just about every time I go there. The good is also fantastic. The torta is my go-to for good, although you can't go wrong with the burrito. I've probably been here 25 times for dinner, happy hour and even mid-day lunch meetings. The staff is also great as well. Put this on your list.

Tons of amazing things to say about this place. Food is fresh, tasty, and unique. Prices are super fair. There's some daily deals with specials and they have an outstanding happy hour menu. Can't beat the 4 taco deal...I could have it daily! Ask for the green salsa. Out if this world flavor! The cocktails are also right on point.

I stumbled into this incredible Mexican restaurant in LA, and I kid you not, the two bartenders behind the counter were like the kings of height restriction. These guys were so short, I thought I'd taken a detour into the Land of Lilliputians, but let me tell you, their skills were anything but small. I waltzed in, eager to catch not one but two football games. Now, most places would've given me the old "Sorry, we can only play one game" routine, but not this dynamic duo. They happily changed the channel faster than a quarterback's snap, and I was in football heaven. The best part? I ordered a margarita, and it came out of a beer tap. I mean, who does that? I hesitated for a moment, wondering if I'd accidentally wandered into some parallel universe, but that first sip was a revelation. It was like they'd bottled a fiesta and put it on tap – absolutely unbelievable. Then came the food. Holy guacamole, it was fantastic. The flavors danced in my mouth like a salsa-tango, and I couldn't get enough. These two guys, as short as they were, made magic in that kitchen. But here's the kicker – their humor was off the charts. They had me in stitches between bites. It was like having a stand-up comedy show with your meal. I couldn't help but laugh so hard that I nearly spat out my delicious margarita. In the end, it was a great night. These little wizards behind the bar, their beer-tap margaritas, and the mouthwatering food made it a touchdown of an evening. So, if you're looking for an amazing Mexican restaurant with a side of hilarity in LA, look no further. This place is a fiesta waiting to happen! 🏈🍹🌮😂

Delicious Mexican food and also great soy tacos. They're prices are generally awesome, but they also have one of the best happy hours around. Highly recommend their Paloma! Best one I've had outside of Mexico. Comfortable and large inside and they even added a huge patio outside. The staff is always friendly and nice.

We went at a really quiet time for lunch on a Saturday. I think they had just opened. Food was very fresh and tasty. Not the biggest fan of their salsa. It was hot enough but just not very flavorful otherwise. I heard the guac was good. My shrimp tostada was impressive and tasty. My mother said the ceviche was absolutely delicious. Service was good especially since we were a nice sized party and everyone was talking at once. Nice open feel to the place. Apparently they have a great patio but I didn't get a chance to see it. Pricey but a good value for the money. Only knock is employees using all the bathrooms to get ready for their shift. They had all three bathrooms occupied for more than a few minutes when we arrived.

A new find for me, introduced to me by a good friend, this place quickly made me a fan. I have never seen a better happy hour. Food here is amazing, and drinks are even better. Servers and bartenders are hard at work and always ready to please. I recommend the carnitas, as a taco or burrito, or both. So flavorful!!

This place never disappoints. The multi-level Mexican flavors are from authentic family recipes. Try the Mamelas (appetizer as a meal). There's also brunch, try the Chilaquiles (pictured) and a Saturday happy hour. There's always a multitude of craft beers from all over and they mix delicious craft cocktails as well. Very reasonably priced food.

My favorite is the lime-infused shrimp aguachiles and their homemade salsa. Their chips are also homemade and the best you’ll ever taste, light but still thick, crispy, salty, with the occasional dough bubble. However, for those used to going to Mexican restaurants that dole out unlimited chips and salsa for free, just know that Cinco charges $17.60 for their delicious mix of chips, salsa, and guacamole. Yes, their food is quite pricey but excellent. The atmosphere is loud—loud music, loud sports games on TV, echoing acoustics from loud crowds during happy hour and into the evening, so if you desire a quiet atmosphere or if you have sensory sensitivities, you can order take-out or sit outside on the patio. The staff are super nice and accommodating.

We have been to Cinco several times and each time it does not disappoint. We typically go around happy hour (3-7p M-Sat) but everything on the menu is delicious. I recommend the nachos, Al pastor tacos and/or burrito, and Tommy's Margarita. They also have an Oaxacan old fashioned that is amazing but beware it is strong!

This place is dangerous for me! It's 2 blocks from my home and every day except for Sunday they have happy hour with $1 street tacos. Carnitas, Al Pastor, Carne asada, Pollo, Soya. Their soya is my favorite, it's a soy chorizo served with black beans and fresh corn and a green tomatillo salsa. All tacos served on corn tortillas. Spicy margaritas are just as good as their blackberry ones and my goodness this place gets packed after 5 on weekdays. Their beer is what they are know for, always changing up varieties and introducing local brews. Parking at the place is limited to about 15 spots but there is street parking along Manchester.

Lots of savory Spanish dishes and drinks here. Their happy hour has a few food selections. Like tacos and burritos for a great deal. They give lots of meat! Meaty tacos, add some lime :p And their drinks are Yumm, they don’t hesitate with that alcohol 🤪 The pasole is a bit on the spicy side, It’s very meaty (with lots of shicken), They never put enough hominy (corn bits), But it’s super savory and delicious 🤤 nonetheless. I just wished they put more hominy... Ha, although it beats having to slave over making my own pasole 🥲

Cinco is a true hidden gem just moments from Loyola Marymount University in Westchester, Los Angeles. Recommended by our daughter, I was instantly captivated by how incredibly delicious the food was—every dish we tried was perfect. The friendly, attentive service made our experience even more enjoyable. With its lively sports-bar atmosphere, Cinco is a favorite among locals seeking authentic Mexican flavors that are both amazing and affordable. Definitely give Cinco a try—you won't be disappointed!

The food was excellent. Service was good, just a little slow, but it was quite busy. You can tell it's a great neighborhood hangout, and there was a hotly contested ball game going on. It was a great value. Regular drink prices were great for california and the happy hour.Drink prices that we were able to get were phenomenal. Highly recommend spicy passion, fruit, margarita and the holy agave.

This is the absolute best restaurant we had in all of California. The prices are reasonable, the service is great, and the atmosphere is unmatched, especially for an evening candlelit romantic dinner. The burrito with barbacoa was perfectly made and tasted fantastic, and the grilled corn is fresh, crunchy, and delicious. The house-made flan was the best flan we’ve ever had. Highly recommend dining here!!

A very nice and stylish restaurant with high quality ingredients and a creative menu with Oaxacan specialties. We love the chicken wings, they are some of the best in LA imo and I eat a lot of wings LOL. They come with a spicy tamarindo sauce and a delicious cilantro lime crema. The brunch menu includes chicken mole enchiladas 😋 Some other highlights are the barbacoa and Al pastor street tacos, the vegetarian mushroom memelas and the tlayuda. The cocktails are also tasty and creative, and very instagrammable

DEDICATED STAFF + AMAZING HAPPY HOUR We've been coming here for quite a long time. Each time it's been consistent and enjoyable. The place is always packed with professional locals. The happy hour is quite possibly the best, most underrated happy hour in Playa. The tacos, barbacoa even, are four for 6$. Get these with the queso funditio and chips as an appetizer, along with a few house cocktails and you'll be happy. The food has a lot of flavor, so you don't need much hot salsa. Their house made salsa is mild. They do offer Tapatio. I do secretly wish they made their own in-house spicy salsa. I feel like the staff who works here would know how to cultivate that, but they do what works. There is definitely an understanding though, that a custom heat might take it to the next level, but personally, I'm always chasing that hot sauce dragon. 🐉 10/10 will go again.

Cinco is a really neat restaurant. The service was fantastic and quick, which is always a plus. We had the nachos to begin and they were okay. They could definitely add more cheese and cut up the jalapeños to be easier to enjoy. The meals were beautifully plated and tasty. The plates are a little pricy, but it’s an experience. Overall, definitely worth a visit.

Went for the happy hour, one of the best I've had. Beer, margarita, and food items are cheap, delicious, and pleasantly filling. Only detractor is the fact that all outdoor seating is stools - but given the current circumstances this does not effect my star rating

K
Katie Martin

Love the happy hour! Do I need to say more than dollar tacos? It's a fun, young crowd and the drinks are well worth the price. Cons are that the wait staff can be a bit on the rude side when they get overwhelmed with the crowd. Also, the burrito is a little skimpy for the price, so if you're looking for more bang for your buck I'd order something else.

K
Kyle Hunsberger

I went to Cinco's earlier this week with some colleagues. The outdoor seating area made it comfortable for the 15 or so people our party to all engage together and connect with each other over good food. Servers were very friendly, and prompt, and always helpful. Will definitely go here again in the future.

G

It's got a nice ambiance. The staff was nice and checking on us throughout our time there. We ordered off the happy hour menu. Food was good. Not a fan of the queso and the water tasted like it's from tap. I'd still go back though.

S
Steven Pastores

The service was adequate and the booth seats were a little low (if that makes sense). Chips and salsa were good. However the chicken mole was fantastic, really a great depth of flavor with the chocolate and spices going on there. The side of herbed rice was great, but there might have been a tad too much mole for the amount of chicken on the plate. Still one of the best moles I've ever had...

P
P Brownridge

Unfortunately, the 1st order I received had a hair in it, but the waiter was apologetic and took it back to bring me a fresh order. sadly, the car it's was dry, and the pollo y asada y barbacoa lacked flavor. I was disappointed about the food but the ambiance was nice The atmosphere was spacious and beautiful. Dogs are welcomed outside, which is nice, depending on how dogs are. We sat outside. I don't drink but my friends enjoyed the beer with the spicy sweet rim and the margaritas so drinks are good & strong there. Went during happy hour. Food cost $10 for 4 street tacos.

K

Margaritas and vegan tacos are the best here especially for happy hour. Chips, guacamole and salsa was pretty good too. The vegan soy tacos were definitely enough for me for 2 meals so portions are great too.

Atmosphere and service here are fantastic! One of the best places in LA. However, the salsa here is absolutely ATROCIOUS. Burnt rubber that was kicked on the street. I am so sorry this place is fantastic but avoid the red salsa at all costs.

Great casual neighborhood bar restaurant. Great selection of IPA, although I've had better, and I prefer the chocolate coffee flavor but they still had other good alternatives. Their seafood ceviche is amazing and the burritos are great fresh savory meat and veggies the sauce is also outstanding as well as the presentation. Nice vibe young crowd they're very crowded around happy hours and taco Tuesday. The good thing is they stay open late at times during the week till almost midnight. Good options for vegan and vegetarians.

Very nice place, but kitchen closes very early for a Friday night. We arrived at 10:30 and we could not order dessert after dinner because the kitchen was closed. Other than that, the food was great and margaritas too.

Decent Mexican food in Westchester. They have a huge outdoor patio with ample space heaters. We ordered tacos three ways - barbacoa, Pollo, and Al Carbon. All three were tasty and they gave you enough meat to make two tacos out of each one. Note: the Pollo came with pickled onions, and that was not listed on the menu. The beans that came with the tacos al carbon were the best beans we had had in a long time. We were slightly disappointed with the ordered Queso Fundido, however. It just didn’t have much chorizo flavor to it. Also, they don’t give you salsa with the queso, so if you want any you have to ask for it and they charge you extra. we also ordered a margarita and a Mojito, the former being just OK the latter being liked a lot. Would definitely try it again.

Drinks were so good. We only got appetizers and it was alright. Good place to have a good chat with friends . Make sure to make a reservation before heading there. I got lucky... they took me in because the group that reserved the table was gonna get there an hour and a half later.

Food was fresh and fantastic. I ordered the chicken tacos and the side of salsa, guacamole, and chips. It was all very fresh and delicious. Clean and modern inside. However, there is only street parking in front or a very small parking area on the back side of the building.

I got a burrito to go. The tortilla was excellent with a good chew. It seemed like they made it in house. I was missing flavor on the burrito and the pork was under seasoned in my opinion. The burrito could improve with additional sauces or salsas. Good value for the price, it could have fed 2.

Got the Shrimp Tacos based on the waitress’s recommendation. They are probably the best I’ve ever had! The Oaxacan Wings had a nice little kick but I couldn’t really taste the tamarind. The Quesabirria Tacos were just okay. They'd be better if they're a bit more oily and cheesy. Love that they have a dog-friendly patio with heaters too! Perfect spot to hang out with your pup.

Great spot with a relaxed vibe and a nice, dog-friendly outdoor area. Generous happy hour till 7 PM most days (except Sunday) — the margarita was excellent. Good parking options too, with a free lot and some free street parking. Tacos weren’t my favorite — the shell tasted a bit stale — but overall a good place for drinks and hanging out.

Rode my bike🚲 to Cinco and made it for happy hour just in time. I was not greeted by a hostess for a few minutes so I approached a worker about seating. I was told they were at capacity. The restaurant didn't look full (I was confused by that comment ) but I asked if I could just sit at the bar. Found a seat at the bar and Ordered street tacos and a drink. The bartender was nice and the tacos tasted great. Probably wouldn't visit again but the couple sitting next to me seemed to enjoy their time. Outdoor seating area looked nice.

Seated immediately in a booth. Made it in time for Happy hour, till 7 pm, prices on drinks and food specials. The 4 street tacos were packed with meat. Choice of chicken, carnitas, al pastor , barbacoa. Their chips are freshly made and served hot. Extra $ with guacamole and salsa. We refills on the chips not automatic but we asked and rec'd. I ordered the 1/2 chicken mole, comes with white rice. The mole was thick, fair, but strong on the red Chile powder (?). Chicken tender. Pricey-$25. Flan very good. We split it between the 4 . Service good, we had 2 different servers.

My bf loves this place. Back in the he was a regular fixture at the bar. I must admit I have not had any of the food here, but have enjoyed the drinks. Their specials I think taste great and are constantly changing. One of the regular drinks I enjoy is the punch.... darn I can't remember the exact name... pancho's punch? But regardless it is good. The service here is super cool and friendly. They have TVs around but no sound as it's not a sport bar. So if you're looking for a cool place to watch the game this place is fine, just no sound. There is music in the background. _________________ Finally came here recently 2/2019 and tried their happy hour food selection. The food menu is very small only offering 3 items.... tacos, burrito and queso fundido. The drink had a more to offer. So I got one of each taco and for$1 during happy hour, that's an awesome deal. They offer soy, pollo, al pastor, carniras and barbacoa. All equally delicious but my favs would be the carnitas and the barbacoa. The tomatillo sauce I thought was delicious and went perfectly with the carnitas. The red sauce had a nice heat to it. The queso fundido came with plenty of what I believe were in house made tortilla chips. They were so yummy and nicely lightly salted and the perfect size. The cheese came with a chorizo on top which added great flavor. For drinks I stuck with the paloma. Delicious and hit of very light spice as it was rimmed with spicy salt. The bf got a spicy margarita. And it was spicy infused with jalapenos.

G
GR K

Food is not their specialty. We had the chicken tortilla soup(fine), carnitas tacos(bad), a carne asada burrito(ok, chips and guacamole(ok), side of beans(ok). I'm sure the drinks are really good but I didn't have any. I would just get Roberto's instead of eating here. Everything needed salt or not to be drenched in oil or super dry. Will not be returning. But service was good.

C
Christina Kalis

We got right in, no waiting, the food tasted pretty good. They charged us for EVERYTHING, even chips and salsa, which is generally complementary. There were 4 of us, and when we asked for a second basket of chips because there weren't enough for 4, we were again charged for more chips!! Never had to pay before... tortillas only cost a couple of dollars for a whole bunch and they charged $9.00!! Not sure if it would be worth going back, just sayin'.

Cinco was a treat with its vibrant atmosphere and tasty food. The vegan tacos with soya protein were a pleasant surprise, full of flavor. However, the food and drinks are a bit overpriced, making happy hour the best time to visit for better deals. Despite the cost, the quality and variety make it worth checking out.

Tekoah F.

I love the food here. Always wish the service was better. To be honest, I only show up for the cooks here. They whip up some of the best authentic tacos on the Westside. The service is always a disappointment. When you are not able to order because your server constantly overlooks you: we have a problem. And it was not crowded at the time either. 🙄 **Use to come here more frequently but the service needs to improve. I shouldn't have to sit at the bar with a group of friends to recieve decent service.

The food and atmosphere was great here. The Birria tacos are amazing. The service sucks though. Once you are seated, you are pretty much forgotten about.

Big portions and great service but not so authentic Mexican food.

This place is regularly raved about from my peers but was underwhelmed and disappointed during happy hour. Went on a Saturday happy hour and did not enjoy my happy hour chicken tacos – neither did my friends for their happy hour barbacoa & carnitas tacos. Meat was bland, the sauce was off putting, and I found bones in my chicken tacos! However, other than the food, the beverages are great. My friends love the alcoholic drinks and I also think their non-alcoholic drinks are great. Parking is plenty, there’s a small parking lot beside it with plenty of street parking as well. I would recommend going for the drinks, not necessarily their happy hour food specials. Perhaps the food from the regular menu is better but I have not yet tried.

Got a tip to check this place out. We opted for outdoor seating which is under a massive tent. Lots of seats outside which was attractive for groups with kiddos, dogs or both. The indoor area had a mix of booth, tables and bar seating. We were hoping to start with nachos but it came with our meal. It was massive. Since it was happy hour, the tacos and Palomas were on special. We were hoping for something mellower so this was a bit much. However, it would have been good if we were with a group and wanted a night out.

Where do I begin... we went during the week with a large party, expecting at least decent service, but wound up getting the worst service!! The waiter was visibly confused. We watched everyone order, receive drinks, then food, etc. We never got our drinks and had to remind him 3x. Everyone was done eating before we even got the drinks. Some people actually left. Poor service with a young one.

Their chips and queso (which they described as a blend of Mexican cheeses) was actually Velveeta...you know...that stuff you squeeze out of a pouch that never expires. Nasty nasty. Not just my guess...waitress confirmed it to be. I just think that's messed up. I mean come on...$8 for some nasty Velveeta characterized as "a blend of Mexican cheeses" I'll pass. Chicken Quesadilla was pretty mediocre too...easy to tell it was not fresh... Just like the Velveeta cheese dip. Drinks were good service was good. VELVEETA!?

Although in their hours it says the close at 10, we were told the kitchen closes at 9 and I actually made a reservation for my husband’s birthday and couldn’t even get a dessert although I wrote a note on the reservation. we got there by 8:40 and left by 9:20 so you can imagine how we were rushed. Also I have had better mexican food. The salsas and food were too bland.

Bland food, no service, no atmosphere—totally forgettable.

We love Cincos food and supported the restaurant for many years. Lately though we've had issues ordering takeouts. I'm not normally one to grumble but this is now the fourth time this happened to me. Each time I called in (Saturday about 5pm), I'd be put on hold for 10+ minutes with no response, at which point I'd hang up. Again, if it happened once, no big deal but this seems like a pattern now. If you don't want to deal with phone orders just say so.

Pretty expensive, and not that great. Everything is premade and we were told no changes. My buddy wanted cheese in his enchiladas and was told no because they were pre-rolled. Service was downright cold. We we're chastised when we arrived for walking g toward a booth, even though the hostess stand was empty with a sign saying help yourself. The shrimp tacos we're good, but the guacamole was refrigerated with enough citrus to keep it green for a week. I won't be back.

If you like your burrito with 90% rice and 10%meat then this place is for you. Food was a 4 on a 1 to 10. Service was a 2. Seated fast as the place was not full. Order taken and food came fast but that was the last time we saw our server until the check came. Both mine and my wife's drinks were empty, and not so much as a "can i get you a refill" i had iced tea and she had sprite.

Ended up not eating there. $18 margaritas, chips n salsa were $6 really loud inside hard to talk. Prices seemed really high for what I saw people receiving. Only had the one margarita.

I used to bring and recommend this place to literally hundreds of coworkers and fellows in my industry for the better part of a decade. After tonight I won’t again until the manager addresses their employees. I showed up at 8:50 after a delayed Lyft after flying in and staying at an airport hotel. I was told “drinks only” and pleaded I knew what I wanted and came for the Al’Pastor from out of town. The “gentleman” behind the bar said the kitchen was closed but would make a one time exception. (They publish closing at 10pm, and I’ve often ate here after 10pm for many years) Shortly after my food was delivered, sitting at the bar, I was asked to move my food as they cleaned the bar at 9:10pm. (See the pic). The pastor is my fav and I travel and eat all around North America every week. Won’t be coming back here until this is addressed though. They also told me last call was at 9:15 even though they close at 10 on weeknights. I used to give this place 5 stars all day, but this was terrible customer service.
