Always fast and cooked perfectly. We tried going next door to the filling station. They were slow as heck and waiting to get served. Uh, no. We don't have all the time in the world to wait and eat and catch a flight here at the airport. So, back to our OG spot with friendly, extremely fast service and good food.
Amazing food! I ordered the bbq burger, parm fries, and the whiskey in the jar drink and oh my gosh! The cooks are great. Mr.joel killed it in the lobby as well. You guys rock!
Emanuel known as “e-man” was an incredible bartender and made a long layover worthwhile. He also tracked me down after I forgot my macbook at the bar. Good wine list- better service. If this staff lived in my home town, I would want to hire them!!
We were pleasantly surprised at how good the food was considering it's an "airport restaurant". They accepted our meal vouchers from our canceled flight, which was great. All of our food was really good. The pizza was a little delayed as they were having an issue with their oven. The wings were great, cooked perfectly, and had great texture and flavor. Highly recommend the pretzel as a delicious appetizer. The cheese and mustard it is served with are phenomenal. There are signs all over explaining that they automatically charge 20% gratuity so that you're not surprised at the end.
This place had good music and fairly decent prices for an airport restaurant. Again, not good, still expensive but better than other airport restaurants. Service was good and prompt. Automatic 20% tip which while I don't mind because I usually tip around that, should be dependent on service not forced on you.
The chicken tenders were pretty good, albeit not very large. The fries were tasty too. My boyfriend ordered the burger and thought it was really good, better then expected. However, he eats his burgers well done so we can’t trust his judgment. The food came out super fast and the staff was helpful. The tables are very sticky feeling but that might be the table material.
Recently dined at Rock and Brews in the JetBlue terminal 5 at LAX and had a pleasant experience. The hostess informed us that an hour would be sufficient to get our order in and enjoy our meal, and that turned out to be accurate. Our server was fast and friendly, which added to the overall positive vibe. My partner and I shared a burger, which was tasty, though we felt the fries could have been a bit crisper and hotter. Overall, it was a solid spot for a quick bite before a flight, and I’d definitely consider returning on my next trip through LAX!
We had the ultimate burger again. It was still wonderful. The large draft Blue Moon was tarty, too! When we got the bill, the Blue Moon was $20. They said everything was added to the cost, including the tip. Little did I know. Ask first before you order. It was still good to enjoy our meal together before our long flight to Kona, HI. We enjoyed the ultimate burger with bacon added. It tastes great. We shared the burger which is good for the budget, too. The draft Blue Moon beer is my favorite. We had an enjoyable time during the one hour of waiting time for boarding the plane. Rock & Brew was a good place to spend time eating while you wait!
Rock & Brews at LAX provided a surprisingly fun and engaging dining experience amidst the usual airport hustle and bustle. The atmosphere was a highlight, with vibrant rock-and-roll-themed decor and artistic touches that created a unique and energetic ambiance. Our server was fantastic, providing attentive and friendly service throughout our meal. They consistently checked on us, ensuring we had everything we needed and enhancing our overall dining experience. Five stars for service! However, the food itself fell a bit short. While perfectly edible, it lacked any distinctive flavor or flair. My breakfast sandwich, for example, tasted like something I could easily make at home. It wasn't bad by any means, just very standard fare. It felt like it was prepared without much passion or culinary creativity, which was a bit disappointing. I'd give the food a 3-star rating. Overall, Rock & Brews at LAX is a decent option for a quick bite in the airport, especially if you're looking for a lively atmosphere and excellent service. If you're seeking a memorable culinary experience, however, you might want to explore other options. I give it 4 stars overall.
First off its the airport so I dont expect much from any restaurant here in LAX. Had some time to kill since got through TSA early so walked around and finally decided on this place. Was empty for breakfast so I walked in. Noted in small print on the menu is automatic 20% tip. Okay, im fine with that. Ordered a breakfast burrito that came with a side of fresh fruit and an order of coffee. Order came out in a timely manner, however everything came in disposable tableware, paper plates, and a paper cup. Very tacky if you ask me. Guess no free refills on the coffee... Food was decent, got free refills on the water served in a plastic cup. It is what it is.... 4 generous stars as I cant do 3.5 🤙
Overall, a decent experience. The street nachos were delicious, if you like flavorful and spicy. Our server was slower compared to watching others be seated after us, order, and eat before we got our food. However, she was friendly. The atmosphere is loud, what else would the "rock" stand for? If you don't do well in high volume restaurants, this is not the place for you. I enjoyed vibing to the music, but it is hard for conversations. It is on the pricier side, although coming from out of state, it may be normal around the area. For two of us to eat a plate of nachos, a chicken sandwich, soda, and high noon, we paid $70. That was with an automatic 20% gratuity. Still, I am happy we went and wouldn't mind going again!
Extremely overpriced for 4 very basic chicken tenders that were also dry. I will say it came out warm, which was nice and the fries were soggy at best. It was also all self-serve which is fine. I have no issue with that but it’s also extremely expensive regardless of location.
Warning high cost option and it's the norm for this terminal. Be prepared, a basic meal is probably $30 out the door with ordering water or about $45 if you order a basic meal with one beer. Also the bar has 20% mandatory gratuity, the tables do not. This is just bar food, it's okay, nothing overly special. The service is also QR code ordering and paying. Someone will drop your meal or drink off, drinks came slow to the table. Be forewarned if you are traveling on a budget: eat before you show up to the airport or bring a TSA friendly meal with you. Nothing is cheap in this terminal, it's not just this place.
Ridiculously expensive. Almost 80 bucks for 4 drinks. Advance ordering via QR code requires tipping before service is rendered. When we ordered our second round, we waited 20 minutes for our drinks. When they arrived, my beer was warm and the ice in my wife's margarita had melted. Obviously, the drinks sat on the bar for a while. Since the tip was already paid, what's the incentive for prompt service? We won't be back.
Food was okay. 30$ for Chuck E. Cheese quality pizza is crazy. And I asked the waiter nicely for a water and he just said "no" and walked away 🤣 there is a self serve water but I didn't want to leave my food and luggage unattended. No one around me could finish their large meal so a lot of food waste which is sad.
Food was gross. Ordered fish and chips and the breading was very soggy due to the grease. It was also served with brown coleslaw. Daughter ordered a burger and they gave us the wrong burger.
That’s great! Spent $32 on a simple burger and got to experience the worst one of my life. What on earth did you put in those meat patties to make them taste that awful? The aftertaste didn’t go away for a long time... that’s an art!
See the scam in the photo! Went there on Nov 3, 2025. We sat for 10 minutes with no service whatsoever. Another couple sat at a table next to us and received drinks and food in 5 minutes. The manager with the beard, apologized, said our military members should never be treated like that. He then stated he would refund the cost of the meal and brought a receipt stating it will show up in my bank. However, he did nothing of the sort. If you go here, expect to wait a long time. Also, expect lies from the manager and staff. We will never return. We didn’t need free food. However, If you state that you’re going to give a refund, just do it. Don’t lie about it! See the scam in the photo!
Received the worst service today and will never return! I ordered a nice margarita along with the simple wings platter at 4:49PM. Had I not asked the host about my order I would have never received the wings. The host told me that I didn’t place the order correctly, however I did since I had already received the margarita which was included with the wings. Once he confirmed, he said my order would be out in 10 mins. After voicing my frustration to another employee I didn’t receive my order until 5:20 in which at that point I decided to cancel because I had to catch my flight. I received my ticket order from the nastiest and distasteful manager who did not care to hear my frustration regarding my order. Instead she walked off in the middle of me asking why did it take so long for my order. The worst customer service experience I’ve had at LAX and will never return!
Was excited to try this place since the last time I was here and saw it. Disappointed. No way should average food and beer be this much plus adding on their own tip. Took several minutes to get service and then forever to get just a basket of onion rings. Hard working is understatement. They weren't that busy. Won't be back
If I could leave a negative star as a review, I certainly would. My experience at this bar was disappointing, largely due to the behavior of the bartender, Jairo, who was consistently rude and seemed agitated throughout my visit. Every time I attempted to place an order, I felt a sense of anxiety, worried that he would react poorly. I overheard another bartender asking him if he wanted to close out customers to split the tips, which made me question the professionalism of their service. Jairo kept expressing his desire to leave early, which created an uncomfortable atmosphere for everyone. There were signs posted indicating that a 20% gratuity is included in the bill, which only emphasizes how subpar the service was. During my time there, I spoke with four random strangers who were also sitting at the bar, and they echoed my feelings of disappointment. We all ended up sharing a laugh about it, but it was bittersweet, reflecting how sad and frustrating the situation had become. As someone who travels often, I’ve come to expect a certain standard of service, and it’s clear that this establishment is falling short. We desperately need better service, or at least the bare minimum of professionalism and courtesy from the staff.
Menu isn’t as advertised and when asked if they could give me the item I ordered per the menu they said “we don’t do it like that”. The menu item clearly shows an over easy egg on the breakfast bowl with no way to edit it. I assumed It would come out that way and it does not. They will not fix it and they were extremely rude about it.
