They offer authentic, traditional Persian dishes — especially flavorful stews and kebabs. The portions are generous and can easily feed two people. You can choose from several Persian rice mix to pair with your meal, and it’s worth trying the Persian tea and sweets for dessert. I’d definitely go back if I’m in the area again.
I had such a wonderful experience at Shamshiri (Westwood!)! The owner Fereiddon was so welcoming and greets everyone with such a warm smile. Even though he was so busy and was managing everyone, he literally poured me some tea and give to me because he was so happy I came again. It has such a warm, lovely atmosphere and everyone was working so hard but still they treated you with so much respect and consideration. The food was SO SO GOOD!! I ordered the beef koobideh kebob and it was so juicy and flavorful. As an appetizer they serve you fresh, hot bread with mint and butter and I just had such a great time, and I came back the next day for lunch aha! You must try it, it will be worth your while. :) The staff were all so caring and attentive, even though there is so much rush at this restaurant. I regret that I cannot remember everyone's name, but Hussein, Ali, Sorogh (I hope that is correct!) and the two hispanic gentleman ( one had dimples and the other I believe that his name was Santiago?) whom looked after me with so much care. Take care and wish everyone the best <3
Just delicious! Went with pescatarian friends and it was still so absurdly tasty. Made me so happy.
Our go-to restaurant for persian food whenever in LA. Love their kabobs. The portions are also huge so one dish is usually sufficient for two.
This restaurant was recommended by a friend and it did not disappoint. We went early for lunch and the service was spot on. The waiter was patient and took the time to go over the menu and answer questions. Food was legitimately delicious and by the time we were finished eating, the restaurant was packed. We will definitely be back!
I have always loved this place! The food here is most definately worth trying, and the atmoshphere is great as well. Plenty of seating, and food. Definitely reccomend this place for anyone who enjoys a delicious meal.
Wow crazy big portions. Delicious kebob, stews on tahdig. Wonderful patient and accommodating waitress. I'm no expert but I'm glad I don't have to travel all the way to Raffi's get such delicious food. Compared to the packed hectic atmosphere and loud noise of said overhyped Glendale establishment, Shamishiri is warm, inviting, quiet and feels more cozy.
We had a lovely dinner at Shamshiri Restaurant, and one of the highlights of our experience was Yasaman, our server. She was incredibly warm, kind, and attentive throughout the evening. Her positive energy and genuine smile made us feel truly welcomed. It's rare to find someone so professional and caring — she made our visit extra special. Thank you, Yasaman! ❤️
Shamshiri is one of my favorite restaurants and it never disappoints. The food is always delicious full of flavor and clearly made with care. The atmosphere is warm and welcoming which makes every visit really enjoyable. Our server Saghar was especially amazing she was kind, attentive and made us feel comfortable the whole time. Her positive attitude truly made the experience even better. I always leave Shamshiri happy and excited to come back. Highly recommend!
Shamshiri Grill delivers an outstanding experience. The Persian food was amazing, full of flavor and beautifully prepared, and the service was excellent from start to finish. The restaurant was packed, yet very well managed, with great energy and incredible aromas throughout the space. Everything flowed smoothly despite how busy it was. A wonderful experience overall, and we will absolutely be back. I highly recommend Shamshiri Grill.
I had the pleasure of dining here with a close friend, and the experience was exceptional. The staff, particularly the manager and our waitress, were incredibly friendly, attentive, and made us feel welcome. The Persian food was outstanding, and I highly recommend this place for a fantastic meal.
This was my first experience with Persian food and it was absolutely delicious! I ordered the albalou polo with lamb and it was such a tasty mix of sweet, tart, and lamb. Portions were large enough that I had leftovers. I also got the doogh and it was so refreshing. The staff were all very kind and attentive and the restaurant was not too crowded on a Friday night. Highly recommend for a nice meal out!
The Baseline: For a Persian restaurant the kebabs and stews must have the classic Persian flavors, the rice/hummus sides must be well prepared with taste, the ingredients must be fresh, and the dining experience must be enjoyable. Food: The lunch specials here are fantastic and feed you well. I got the Koobideh Platter and the beef skewer was delicious. The grilled tomato and onion really accompanied the meat. I opted for the green salad and lentil soup for starters which really kicked off the meal. I forgot to ask for the garlic sauce but I was told this is a must have next time. Service: We had a great waitress when we visited. She was friendly, efficient, and accommodating to a bunch of different orders. Great service. Water glasses always filled. Ambiance: Shamshiri looks like a Persian restaurant. Main points is that the table layouts were well spaced and maximized service flow. Clean restroom.
Wonderful Persian restaurant near UCLA. Enjoyed the appetizer platter and lamb shank over rice. Amazing complimentary flavors in the appetizer platter and big portion sizes. I would get both of these items again. We enjoyed the food with wine and pomegranate juice. Many tasty items left to try here. Highly recommend. Was busy at dinner time. Street parking pretty easy.
Halal Persian restaurant. The waiter is very courteous, answer all questions patiently and even recommended the best meal. The restaurant offers naan, butter and tabbouleh as starter. We ordered lamb kebab, lamb shank, lamb grill and chicken shawarma. Each meal comes with basmati saffron rice, grill vegetables and hummus. The meal was tasty and the portion was big. The pomegranate juice was concentrated, not fresh. I love the hotel ambience, tastefully decorated with Persian heritage. There’s plenty seatings and just nice for the right temperature. Service is fast and they clean immediately after you finish your meal.
New favorite restaurant!! The food is absolutely incredible. Our server Omar was wonderful! In fact, all the staff are happy, fast and helpful in recommending menu items. We will be back for sure.

Delicious koobideh. Chicken is unbelievably juicy every time. Staff is friendly and this place is always busy for dinner so come expecting to wait
Definite go to for us and friends. Their koobideh is great, yummy rices, my friend loves the lamb shank. Food is always great. Can get super busy but worth the wait

Authentic persian cuisine. Service excellent. You should try the Persian ice cream with safran and pistachio …. Just excellent.
Food fresh delicious. Restaurant very popular. No reservatiins required. Portions hugh. parking an issue but meters svailable on westwwod blvd.
Good Persian food, and the portions are huge, so expect to leave with leftovers. The ambiance is a cozy and welcoming vibe. The Shirin polo doesn’t look that great when you first see it, but it’s tasty. The koobideh was my favorite, with an ice cold glass of doogh (yogurt drink). Service is also good.

⭐⭐⭐ Shamshiri Grill - Good Kebabs, But the Vibe Was Tense. My recent visit for dinner left me with mixed feelings. The food, particularly the large kebab plate, was good, but not great—just solid Persian fare. Unfortunately, the atmosphere was quite distracting. The restaurant is tight, and the staff, especially who I assume was the manager, seemed very tense. He appeared to be yelling at someone (maybe staff or kitchen?) constantly, which made it hard to focus on our meal. The tight seating also meant we could hear everyone else’s conversations easily. Finally, finding parking was difficult. If you prioritize standard, decent Persian food above a comfortable dining experience and easy parking, this spot will work.
I tried this restaurant for the first time and went to eat alone. The rice had a really strange taste — I couldn’t eat more than two bites. The kebab was also very tough, and I couldn’t finish more than half of it. The only good thing was the ayran, honestly. The prices were also very expensive — I paid nearly $70 including tip just for one person. That’s incredibly expensive for a single meal.

Very disappointed by the food specifically, We got one of the famous Persian meal( koobideh) that texture and taste was very basic for this price, this kind of food must be half the price with this low quality, with all respect to hard working staff, mexican staff and cook for Persian cuisine ????? Really ???? They wanted us to leave the place as soon as possible , they brought us boxes to pack our food at the middle of it and before we ask for the bill they just put it on the table. Very disappointed and never go back again
This restaurant was my favorite in all West Los Angeles, today was my last visit and what made me change my mind and give a chance to other restaurants is that the quality on the food was not the same: distasteful, lacking of seasonings. I didn't mentioned this to the manager who's very nice gentleman, I mentioned it to the server but he was like: "Oh well, deal with it!" He told us that lunch menu was not available at all. He made me feel like I was getting the food for free and it's not the case. I explained that it was my mom's bday but not like other restaurants that sing the happy Birthday and give a slice of something. The tip is not the amount I selected so I have to take care of it. I'm including a picture of the undercooked chicken, at that point, we had already ordered more food. My mom is disabled and she is now 84, it was a nightmare to find a parking spot, I decided to check in the alley and a woman from next door business came out so rude and nasty to tell me that it was not Shamshiri Grill restaurant parking lot. Well it was a long drive since there are not persian restaurants in the area where we live and at the same time a really sour experience, so I no longer recommend to spend money on this place anymore.
Terrible food, very overpriced and disastrous customer service! I do not recommend this place at all

During my visit, I ordered the lamb koobideh; however, it had an overwhelmingly strong fat flavor that made it unpleasant to eat. I respectfully requested a replacement. Instead, I was served a beef koobideh without prior clarification, and unfortunately it was undercooked and raw inside. When the manager approached, the interaction focused more on justifying the situation rather than resolving it in a customer-centered manner. The overall experience did not meet reasonable expectations in terms of food quality or service. I am sharing this feedback constructively, as attention to both product quality and customer experience is essential, and regrettably, this visit fell short in both areas.
