Tip: The combo plate is a good value, with enough food for leftovers. Be prepared for a wait, as the restaurant is small and doesn't take reservations.

Amazing flavors and huge plates. For sure Addas Polo and any Kabab
This was the BEST Iranian/ Persian food I have ever had! We are so glad we came here. The service was amazing. Eman was the kindest, most attentive server and he made sure we had everything we needed and more. The food is the star here. The Tehran platter eat a mixed grill with rice and salad. Huge potions, JUICY meat and the freshest most delicious yogurt dips! The have different versions and they are all delicious! We finished our meal off with some hot tea. MUST TRY!
I absolutely love this place! We go every time we visit Los Angeles. They are extremely friendly and did such a wonderful job of accommodating my allergy. I highly recommend them!
Exceptional food. Meat was juicy and tender and still perfect as leftovers the next day. Every single item we ordered had so much flavor and not one element was lacking. The combo plate is really good value. Ordered 2 for four people and ended up with an entire second meal for everyone the next day. Very easy to eat gluten free here.
It is a small place, but the food was amazing. I loved their Kabob Kobideh. It is of quality meat. Kabob Barg or Kabob chenjeh was also excellent (fillet minion) . I think they are also famous for their Adas Polo (lentil rice). It is kind of self serve You order, pay, and they bring the food for you. I would definitely go back again.
Taste of Tehran offers an authentic Persian dining experience with its warm ambiance and exquisite dishes. We ordered beef kebob and Ghormeh Sabzi, beef kebab were perfectly cooked and seasoned. The Ghormeh Sabzi, in particular, with its rich blend of herbs and tender meat. Attentive service and genuine hospitality made our visit memorable. Highly recommended for anyone eager to explore Persian cuisine!
Arrived in Tehrangeles.. ✨ As a lover of Persian cuisine, I recently had dining at Taste of Tehran, a Persian community located in Westwood, Los Angeles. The cozy atmosphere at Taste of Tehran instantly transports you to the heart of Iran. The friendly staff welcomed us with warm smiles, and their attentive service made our meal even more enjoyable. Koobideh kabob! 😍Marinated to perfection, these juicy and tender skewers had just the right amount of crunch. Mast-o-Mousir is a must-try! Tangy, sour, and thick, mixed with chopped shallots. We ordered one for the meal and another to savor throughout the week.
Loved the beef koobideh kabob plate, grilled to juicy perfection. The accompanying salad, yogurt dressing, and rice were also good. Also had the trio sampler of: Mast Khiar Veggie. Gluten free. Yogurt mixed with chopped Persian cucumber and mint. Addas Polo Veggie. Gluten free. Rice mixed with lentil, raisin, date and fried onion. Roasted Eggplant Dip Veggie. Gluten free. Roasted and seasoned eggplant with caramelized onion, fried mint and a yogurt sauce topping. The yogurt dip was refreshing, the mixed rice perfect (if only this came with the kabob plates), and the eggplant dip was finely mixed. Service was fast. The ambiance felt very down to earth.
The koobideh plate is my go-to. It's well seasoned and grilled perfectly. It comes with rice and side salad. Its a small detail but the salad is consistently fresh and crunchy. I don't see people dining in that often. Its a small restaurant so it's mainly a pick up/delivery spot.
They are so close to 5 stars, but the prices are a tad high for what you get and there is always a wait. They don't take reservations. The place is small so I understand, it is just time consuming. This is a place where you order at the counter and get your food to eat there, they have a few seats and a few outdoor seats. The service is super nice and they know their menu well. It is not fancy, but it is clean and well maintained. It is in Westwood Village so parking can be a pain, just go to a lot and walk. It is a great lunch place and you can also get dinner there. They deliver and have pick up. We love their salads and that is what we usually get. Their Tehran Salad is my favorite. It has Romaine lettuce, feta cheese, grape tomato, Persian cucumber, some red onion and black olives with a great lemon dressing. Their wraps are good, but for the price I would like a little more. They are good, however. All of them are tasty. This is not fine dinning. It is mid range, order at the counter, and have fun place. We do.
Two of us ordered one $20 entrée, one $17 entrée, and one Coke from the fridge, normally $2.99 at the highest, but she charged us $5.99 The server said we could do “half rice/half salad” for the $20 dish as a replacement, but the bill added a $4 upcharge anyway. How come you serve me less rice and replace it with a little salad and charge me still $4.00 for it? I just don't get it. It is so deceiptful... The card reader only had preset tip buttons tipping from 18% to 25%.... no “custom” or “other", options available to choose. Our total came to about $60 for two plates and a soda. This felt misleading and not what we were told. Her attitude certainly did not deserve any tip, because when I asked her why my bill is so high, she said "read your bill"... seriously? we were forced by the card reader to tip her anyways.
