The Milky Way

What an amazing meal we had at the Milky Way today First of all I live the rustic ambience. I sat down at the table and ordered Tortilla chips with guacamole and salsa Garden salad and garlic bread for appetizers. The tortilla chips were home made and crispy and delicious the salsa was a perfect spicy and the guacamole was delicious. The garlic bread is an entire story for itself. It was utterly delicious soft, garlicky, buttery and perfect. In between Steven spielbergs mother came past to say hi and ask how we are doing. And for a women that age to come by individually to each customer shows how much they care for each customer For main course we ordered a traditional fish and chips and a Thai fish dish The fried fish was perfectly fried in its beer batter the crispness was perfect the textures were perfect and the taste was phenomenal The Thai fish was very peanut buttery but amazingly delicious. And then for dessert we had chocolate mousse pie Which was phenomenal. I know I don't write the best. But hellz yeah I would be back the ambience and food are amazing

Great atmosphere, excellent friendly service, food OK... Will go back give other items on the menu on chance. So far tried potato pancakes (too greasy and some burnt), spinach crepes (not bad, lacks some spices and a cream sauce), lasagna (not sure what extra spice was on there but there was lots of it and it did not taste so good).

My grandmother Bette Rae Young was one of Leah's best friends. At 11 my grandmother took me to lunch when Leah seen my grandmother walk in she was in the middle of a conversation but excused herself very quickly all while yelling Bette Rae with her arms wide open while my grandma did the same while yelling Leah!! Their embrace for one another was so heart warming I've strived for this energy in all my friendships since. The food was just as marvelous as Leah was, and the dessert was to die for I've never forgotten my experience. I wish to return one day very soon.

After reading others reviews about the cheesecake (and I'm always looking for a delicious cheesecake) I had my hubby pick up a couple of slices for me. Absolutely the most delicious cheesecake I think I've ever had!! Creamy, melt in your mouth deliciousness! Even the crust was perfect! Will definitely be back to try some other desserts and entree`s but the cheesecake will be a MUST HAVE with each visit!

Veggie cheese burger is good and came with crispy fries...mmmm. Lunch mate had blintzes and said they are like her mother made. Bright new look with Steven's movie posters and lots of family photos.

My daughter, her mother and I had dinner at The Milky Way last night. It was a great experience. The dinner was excellent. We started with cheese blinzas as the appetizer. We were served two large blinzas and cut them in half. I had the blackened salmon and my daughter had macaroni and cheese. Her mother had grilled salmon. We also each had a glass of Baron Herzog Chardonnay, kosher wine, with dinner, and finished the dinner with a very good slice of cheesecake. We all agreed that we are going to have to go back soon.

Love this place...when I come here I feel at home. Leah is always so nice...and love the way she is so proud of her son...as she should be. Also a nice quiet spot to meet for lunch meetings. Good food. Great people.

Mrs. Adler of blessed memory is very much present in the walls of the Milky Way as his her son Steven Spielberg whose posters of his well known movies grace the walls of this quaint charming dairy restaurant. Cozy,warm,and inviting atmosphere with soft live piano in the background. On your must visit list!!

Kosher restaurants have always yummy food but it's hard to find one with a good ambiance. This one has it all, classy, quiet and good food. I had a lunch with a friend and we enjoyed the food, service and atmosphere.

This place is very quite and the food is amazing. Do try the grilled salmon. One of the best I've ever had. There is no large sign on the outside, so we just stumbled upon this place.

The best find in a long time ! Good so good at lunch returned for same impeccable food for dinner on same day ! In fairness leaving area next afternoon so no other opportunity to eat dinner and so….. lunch -fish and chips off the hook ! Delicious & hot ! Dinner the spinach crepe mmm good , traditional stew -mmm good , appetizer cheese blintz ? Mmm good w strawberry purée ? Left here wishing I lived around corner ! Wonderful dairy restaurant. Classy, first-class attention, and friendly crew. See the menu -- everything is tasty. Try the specialty garlic french fries! Oh my!

The server kindly suggested the breakfast sandwich, which on paper did not seem like anything special. I was very wrong. This is a top 3 breakfast sandwich I've ever had! Very light. Very delicious. Very pretty.

It came with a side of Caesar salad which gave me memories of the old place! Tuna melt was 10/10. There is a nice mix of healthy and heavy dishes which makes this restaurant a good option for lots of different type of people or moods. Overall experience was 10/10 (Besides for the temp, it was freezing!)

I took my daughter here last week on our vacation and it exceeded our expectations. The place is clean and charming. The food we ordered was delicious and they make the most delicious carrot cake ever!!! A definite winner when you want a dairy meal in LA.

We loved the new look and ambiance. Good service. Food though needs a bit of improvement. Tuna sandwich was overflowing which made it difficult to eat. The broccolini was undercooked, trout was yummy but greasy. Fettuccine the sauce was a bit liquidy. But overall, the experience was good, food was good. We will definitely come back.

A small kosher place tucked mid block on Pico. They have a bar separate from the dining room. I had the veggie chili. It was very good but not enough. I would have liked a side salad. Hubby had the eggplant parmesan accompanied by a ceasar salad. Wow! I'll order that next time. They also have a few "impossible" choices with fries. Service was great, pleasant atmosphere. The music was a little too loud for me. Metered street parking.

Elegant and understated. Service was warm and very efficient. Fish chowder was delicious, as was the carrot cake. Skylight is a great touch...very warm light. Lovely experience.

Unfortunately the flavor of the fish was completely lost, but the sauce was quite good so I guess that made up for it. And as others have noted, the cheesecake is quite amazing. Nice cozy place, friendly waiter but service was very slow, took 45 min! to get our food, we were a large group, and food came almost one at a time, literally a lasagna came then a half hour later another dish.I ordered the salmon plank with side of spinach and wild rice, all of it was over seasoned and portions were small considering the cost of items

Was there for the first time but not going there for the second time anymore. Slice of CheeseCake & a small cup of Coffe Latte that was cold not hot, end up almost $30! Very expensive. Cash was not accepted, she was standing on top of my head to get the credit card and I had to pay with the credit card! I never heard of not accepting Cash! Did you?

Ordered salmon salad got this. Where is the salmon? Was expecting a small amount of effort in presentation. Looks like someone just smashed a piece of salmon with there hands and sprinkled it on top. What a shame.
