This is by far one of the most peaceful environments in LA that I’ve experienced so far, since being here for 5 years. I love the coziness and warmth it brings. Makes you feel at home and allows yourself to enjoy it without feeling to over crowded or loud. The music they play is soothing and makes you never want to leave til they close. The food is great too! Lots of flavor. I will be back for sure.

Looking for a haunt? Look no further. Perfect atmosphere to have a drink with friends. There is a massive fireplace for those cooler winter nights. My only caution is to watch the prices. There were a couple cocktails that were very expensive.

Perfect little bar tucked away on Pico. Cute, dimly lit, veey friendly, and amazing spirit selection. The cocktails appear very unique and flavorful, and the menu offers a handful of bar bites and a few sandwiches. I had the pretzel and the bao buns. BEST PRETZEL I EVER HAD. Holy heck. Made from scratch in house. So yummy. The bao buns are mini bahn mi sandwiches on steamed buns, so delicious! This place is perfect for couples, friends catching up or singles who want to sit at the bar. Best part is youre surrounded by a classical library and can grab any book to read. The staff is super nice and hospitable. The bartender was generous to give me a taste of an aperitif I havent heard of. Dim lit, quiet bar for light chatting. Will definitely be back. Highly recommended.

This has become my go-to middle stop after work — a drink and a little snack, just perfect. Parking can be tricky, but worth it once you’re in. Tried the fried chicken tonight as my main, and it was exactly my cup of tea.

Nice place, great atmosphere - Classic old English interior, interesting details. There were few people on Sunday, but that's what we wanted. Service was great. Good cocktails, but I think the price is a bit high(around $19). We only tried the French fries - it was very tasty

My favorite location in the entire West LA. High end vibe, outstanding cocktails, top notch service and hospitality. Always the best products and innovative libations. Live music, perfect for a bar hangout with a friend, or an intimate date at any of the leather couches. Heavy vibe. Just like the Shakespeare’s birth place!

This is a delightful spot for a small gathering. It has the feel of an old English library but the service of a private club. Excellent drink menu and a spectacular ambiance. Well worth the visit. Arrive early before opening to grab the seats by the fireplace!

Still recovering from how amazing last night was. I think I fell in love—with a cocktail. No joke, this place served up the BEST drink I’ve ever had. Like… what kind of wizardry is this?! The bartender wasn’t just mixing drinks—he was creating tiny masterpieces in a glass. The ice? Imported from Japan. I’m talking crystal-clear, slow-melting, pure elegance. I’ve never felt so fancy and so buzzed at the same time. Then out walks this live musician who starts playing RIGHT in front of us—and I swear, this guy could’ve turned a grocery list into a love song. Absolute legend. I had goosebumps… or maybe that was the cocktail. Either way, magic. And just when I thought things couldn’t get any better—they hit me with a lamb sandwich. Yes. A lamb sandwich. Juicy, tender, full of flavor—basically everything I want in life. Amazing drinks, fire music, unexpectedly delicious food… 10/10 would recommend. Someone please remind me to go home next time.

This is an amazing bar with a great ambience. Got here towards last call, was quite surprised that they close that early (12) on a weekend. However, we set at the bar and the bartender was very friendly and made me her take on a paper flight. My buddy tried the guava cider. Both drinks were great. Overall great experience! Would go back!

Been wanting to come here for a while. They were having a Basil Hayden's special evening the night I finally made it. So discounts on sazeracs made with Basil Hayden's dark rye and free samples of a couple of their whiskeys including the dark rye which I haven't tried before. Fun place, drinks were good, free jazz was great also. Will come back.

A truly unique interior that transports you to authenticity, no pretense, welcoming, a place where Boomers to Gen Z can mix and knock em back with class. A good, social bar top with conversation. No tvs, no douchey bullshit, just a real English pub vibe with its own urban twist. You will not be disappointed!!

The male Latino bartender was flirting with me at first. Once he realized I was trans he completely ignored me. After a few drinks the same bartender tried publicly shaming me for ordering cocktails too fast. The patrons sitting beside me were completely drunk and fell over. I told him, “why don’t you push that energy over there.” The bartender asked me not to worry I’m trans, total discrimination 🏳️‍⚧️ If you’re a person of color or lgbt community tread lightly with no expectation of great service.

Its unfortunate that I have to give this place such a low review just from my last experience, reasons why always make sure who you hire and who will represent your business. I have came to this location about 5 times now and the 5th time was just a disappointment, with the other 4 times coming here service was always delightful & great staff and friendly. Reasons being the last time we come here is : We walked in took a good 5 min to be greeted by someone as we saw no employee in sight, after someone came to the front she sat us down. We then ordered our drinks my partner ordered IPA and I got a whiskey sours with extra cherries. As the server proceeds to give the order to the bar tender, loudly he tells the server (Did you charge her for the extra cherries?!) I have no issue being charged extra but next time be more discreet about it since everyone can hear. After finishing our first round we reorder the same drinks and order the meatballs and the pretzel. Took about 10-15 min for us to get our second round of drinks which I found off since they had at least 4 employees and mind u only 6 customers inside this place (was empty). We sat at the table across from the bar while waiting, then I see the bar tender and this other young lady with black hair at the bar just chatting and I think they forget I can see them through the reflection of the mirror that they were conversing about me and my partner which I found RUDE, I assume they aren't so great at being discreet when speaking about customers. Then they proceeded to make our drinks probably after realizing our table was empty. While we get our drinks after waiting 15 min something is still missing our food!. We see the staff just talking and walking back and forth no means to come and ask us is everything good nor asking if we have got our food yet. We wait another 35 min and NO FOOD was served. We were just fed up so we call our server and ask her for the check and she's like "yea sure" which was clear to me that she obviously forgot our order of food since she didn't seem to notice. And when she's on her little machine to cash us out that's when she realized about our food and says " did you guys get your food? " pretty dumb question to ask as NO PLATES OR FOOD WAS ON THE TABLE. Then she proceeds to say she will comeback to check I don't know what she's checking as we no longer want no food, then she comes back apologizes. My acknowledgement is that she never put in the order and forgot about it. I understand if it was a packed house but this place was EMPTY, no way she should have forgot at all. We checked out & paid, she's lucky we even gave her a tip for the bad service. It sucks that I'm saying this because the times I have came to this place the other staff was amazing on point friendly kind , but not sure if these are new hires or what because I haven't seen them before but this just goes to show how employees can ruin someone's business to lose clients. I have recommended this place to many people and I just hope they don't experience this type of service. To the owner be careful who you hire, because those are the people who will be representing your business.

The worst experience I’ve had in a bar. The waitress just ignored us for more than half an hour, and didn’t took our orders until the last call. We didn’t get our drinks until 20 mins before the bar was closed. The waitress and bartender were rude and extremely defensive about the bad experience. First time and will be last time.
