This cafe has a good variety of baked goods, and the seating area is large enough to hang out and enjoy your food comfortably. The Dutch latte comes with a stroopwafel and has a trendy vibe. The mix of cinnamon and salted cream was a great combo rich and exactly what I like. The matcha latte was also decent and solid. They also have pour-over options and sell beans, which is good to know.
I had driven by several times and today I came in to get my usual coffee, the coffee place is set in a large hall with high ceilings, very nice decor, DJ was the gentleman taking the order he was friendly and very personable. I told him that this was my first time in here, he explained to me that this is their second location and only has been opened 4 months, I ordered the Dutch latte, which was the highlight of my visit, this was a delicious latte. Also try their strawberry matcha which was OK. The place was buzzing pack. I recommend it.
It says it was a soft opening but amazing matcha latte. The size isn't big, which is fine. You pay for the quality preparation, craft and ingredients. Also liked the prepared pasties and baked good. They had savory and sweet. The ambience inside is nice. Lots of natural sunlight and good place as a quick break or spending time to read a book by yourself or to have conversation with a friend.
The interior is clean and the tables are well-arranged. The staff are also friendly, the music is great, and the vibe is fantastic. There is also small bakery section with simple items that pair really well with the drinks. I'm not usually a fan of matcha drinks, but it looked very tasty. I definitely recommend you check this place out. The only downside is that parking is a bit difficult.😅
A wonderful experience overall! Greeted warmly by friendly staff, a wide selection of drink options, and the pastries/drinks were delicious and quickly prepared. I got the strawberry matcha, while my boyfriend got the double mango matcha. I heavily recommend trying both! Will definitely come again! :)
Tried their Double Mango Matcha and it was amazing! I’ve never had matcha that tasted like this before! so refreshing and unique. Perfect balance of flavors and definitely something I’d come back for. Highly recommend!
Great environment Lovely place to sit and coffee Would highly recommend Get the dutch latte and chestnut 🌰 latte. Pistachio croissant 🥐 is also great. Must visit.
Super friendly staff and chill vibes here! Loved the Dutch latte and strawberry latte — both were really good. The cheese scone they bake here is honestly the best I’ve ever had in my life. Officially my go-to spot for cheese scones! The place is clean, spacious, and just has a great feel. I’ll definitely be coming back!
It’s a pleasure when you’re known as coffee shop hunter, as when your friends figure out new ones opening, they just know you are the first person they need to tell. And that’s how I end up knowing about Van Dyke. Arriving at the space and immediately gave it my first score with dedicated free parking garage (always tough when you’re in Ktown) and super helpful parking assistant. Next came the venue wowed me by how sizable it was, serving tons of seats and beyond that SPACE. It’s atypical as sometimes others did provide many seats yet giving the condensed jam-packed feeling. Van Dyke, coming with high ceiling and large glass windows, served the unbeatable ambiance that got me fallen for it. More than that, with almost all coffee shops in town recently offered almost the exact same thing - your regular coffee or matcha with cream top, I started reaching the plateau stage getting it over and over. Seeking for something that’s more distinctive, Van Dyke did come with something similar but adding its own creative touch, one of which was their Dutch Latte. Fun mix of caramel, cinnamon, and salted cream top; my forever favorite combo - sweet and salty! Being a roaster as well, the coffee was full-bodied with smooth finish. If one thing I could wish for with this drink would be bigger serving size LOL. Not to forget, what’s carrying ‘Dutch’ in the name meant without serving it with Stroopwaffle, right? Surely felt like the cherry on top! I paired my coffee with their pastries as well, which the attendant told me as baked in house. My pick went to their Matcha scone, reheated pre being served, and featured mix-ins of white chocolate and cranberries. It wasn’t special special, but would call it a fair performer.
Van Dyke Coffee Roasters is such a gem in LA. From the moment you walk in the space feels bright, modern, and welcoming. It has the kind of atmosphere that makes you want to stay and relax. The drinks are incredible. Every cup feels thoughtfully made, from their smooth lattes to their refreshing matcha. You can really taste the care and quality in everything they serve. What makes this place extra special is the people. The staff are kind, friendly, and make you feel at home. It’s the kind of service that leaves you smiling even after you leave. Whether you want a cozy spot to work, catch up with a friend, or simply enjoy a great cup of coffee, Van Dyke Coffee Roasters is the place. I’ll definitely be coming back again and again.
Great coffee, delicious pastries, and they accept Bitcoin! Van Dyke Coffee LA in Koreatown is definitely worth a visit. Will be back for sure.
Van Dyke's Dutch latte is top 2 best drinks in Koreatown and it's not #2. And they know how to do pour overs which is rare in Koreatown. Great space to get work done in a neighborhood with not many study cafes. And never too busy or packed. Baristas are very knowledgeable and helped me navigate through the menu and drinks.
The Orange Espresso Tonic, made with their house-made syrup, is incredibly refreshing and flavorful. The Double Mango Matcha is perfectly balanced and not too sweet. Their signature Dutch Latte with sea salt cream is rich, smooth, and absolutely delicious. Highly recommend!
Van Dyke Coffee @ LA I had the Dutch coffee and my daughter had the matcha latte 😍 both were insanely good!!!☕️🍵 We couldn’t stop smiling after the first sip😋 Hands down one of the best coffee spots in LA! Total GOAT! 🐐❤️
A well appointed space with specially coffee drinks. The drink menu appeared meticulously curated. Ordered their cold brew coffee and Yuzu Macha Tonic. The tonic was refreshing and the coffee appeared to be specifically selected for its acidic profile, considering the drink options combining it with citrus. Service felt a little chaotic as it appeared they are training their staff but no overt issues.

Great tasting coffee and awesome vibe. I tried Ice Americano coffee. I was told it's a mix of three different beans. These guys are serious roasters. I absolutely loved the aroma and taste of it.
I am not a regular coffee drinker and not a fan of the whole "salted" craze. Yes it's supposed to bring out and balance the sweet, but I just think it's salty. I also am not a fan of the orange and chocolate combo. So apparently Van Dyke's Signature drinks are both of what I am not a huge fan of. So instead of just passing on coffee, I decided to try the Dutch Latte. I was pleasantly surprised. The salt was more incorporated versus just sprinkled on top where you can get a mouthful of salt. This made the saltiness more subtle and tolerable. The latte had a creamy top and the coffee had a solid coffee flavor. The cafe is spacious with plenty of seating, although, very few seats were available. I also had their Strawberry croissant. It was huge, had a good amount of strawberry cream inside. A bit messy to eat but good. A definite place to try out.
This place is genuinely a USC satellite campus because I literally saw four people I knew while we were there. I got a matcha latte and the drink was like 80% ice and only 12 oz. It’s a decent quality matcha with a slight savoriness to it and doesn’t need sugar to cover up any grassiness. It’s set up to be a nice study space with large rectangle tables and small circle tables as well as bar seating, but I wish the tables were wider. It’s echo-y because of the high ceilings and concrete walls, though, so it felt a little overstimulating.
Decided to try this new place. I wasn’t a huge fan of the matcha with coconut water. The Dutch latte was okay, adding the cracker was nice. It was extremely difficult to find a place to sit down since almost everyone in there were using the tables for their computers. They did have outdoor seating but the space was very limited and people were hogging up tables while their friends were waiting in line. Also, I believe they do have 2 bathrooms.
It’s a really big space but all the seats are taken. There isn’t really a spot for customers to wait at for their drinks. I didn’t like their cookie but their mango matcha was tasty.

It's trendy coffee shop for young folks. We're in our 60s, so it wasn't really for us. It was really crowded, a lot of people, small tables. It's not a place to lounge and have a deep conversation with friends and families. It's pretty much for young ones. The drinks were okay and the chocolate cake wasn't very good. It was really bland and the cake stuck to your teeth. I wouldn't order it again.
