Virtue Coffee is such a gem in downtown LA -- and conveniently right by my building. There's a parking lot directly across the street, so it's super easy to run in and out, even during busy hours. The service is always fantastic, and the menu is honestly dangerously good. Everything looks fun, unique, and absolutely delicious. I keep wanting to try the entire menu one drink at a time. Their drinks pack the caffeine punch I'm always looking for, and the owner is incredibly accommodating. I sometimes come in with quirky or complicated orders, and he consistently handles them with zero attitude and perfect execution. Great location, great service, great coffee -- an easy 5 stars.
I was genuinely surprised by this coffee shop. It’s always hard to tell whether specialty lattes are going to be over sweet or well crafted. This place puts time into crafting syrups themselves, while keeping the sweetness down in the recipes. There’s also a shop dog, which makes things even better. I highly recommend it.
Cute little coffee shop with art for sale and a dog I didn’t see. I got the cinnamon toast iced drink it was delicious. A convenient right off the train station!
A nice little coffee spot before getting on or getting off the train station. I just ordered a matcha latte with whole milk. The flavor was just right along with the right temperature and an overall excellent morning drink. The decor was cool with hip hop references and the marvel pack of cards for sale were a nice touch. I’d definitely come back again to try their other menu items.
This place screams LA in the best way possible. Think sun-soaked mornings, lo-fi hip-hop playing in the background, baristas with style, and locals pulling up on skateboards. The vibe is effortlessly cool — like Fairfax met Venice and opened a coffee shop. The coffee? Smooth, bold, and just the right amount of edge. The kind of spot where creatives brainstorm, skaters recharge, and mornings somehow feel lighter. You walk in for a latte, and end up staying for the energy. 100% a daily ritual if you’re lucky enough to live nearby.
*Try the G-Spot Latte* I walk in and Lemonhaze by PawPaw Rod is playing, two guys talking about the Haney vs Garcia fight and the coolest barista behind the counter. Vibe check 1000 Good music is essential to a good coffee spot. The coffee here is phenomenal! I honestly couldn’t put my coffee down. The barista here is extremely quick and friendly. I was a little busy and he was knocking us all out with ease and keeping the conversation flowing. This spot is right in front of the metro station, so if you’re on the train I would highly suggest you jump off and give this spot a try.
Coffee was great (from the “kids” menu). Owner was blunt in the best way. But seriously… that portrait of the woman with the newspaper? Need to know where it’s from. Who’s the artist? Help me out.
i took a chance on the nutty professor and was not disappointed! absolutely delicious.
Great place to hang out, grab a refreshing drink, and people watch. The peach iced tea was tasty and the gluten free coconut chocolate bar was delicious. The barista was super chill and helpful. Will definitely come back next time I’m in DTLA

We know and love bodega cat, now meet coffee dog :) can’t give an unbiased review bc it was this good boy’s 10th birthday. I got an iced peanut butter latte situation and it was smooth, flavorful, and unique. Vibes were excellent
Try the watermelon electrolyte water - it’s so refreshing. I got two. 🔥 The roses on a grave latte was solid, too. Super nice service.
Coffee is beautiful and AMAZING! The coffee shop is super cute, and easy to find. His dog is adorable 🩷🥹 And they were super nice!

Traveled from NJ for vacation and was recommended to try out this place. Tried the nutty professor latte & Cinnamon Toast Crunch latter and they were both AMAZING! 100% recommend going.
I think the service is excellent. I recently been going to Starbucks but the location by me closed and someone recommended this cafe. I get a matcha latte with almond milk. The owner goes above and beyond. I never asked him to remember my drink order and he does. That is why I give him a tip. His dog is so cute! Best guard dog. And I acknowledge how hard he is working when he is the only one there. It’s a great cafe and good vibes.
Loved this coffee shop! Homeade syrups and cold brew were delicious, definitely grab a croissant and muffin! The owners dog is a cute bonus
This is a must-do on your expo line stop or when in DTLA. The vibes are right and it is a rare place for personal connection and community. Also, drinks the drinks are fire and creative. Say hi to the dog to pass the vibe check.
Amazing amazing coffee shop! Very passionate owner! And the housemade syrups are wonderful. The drinks are just so unique!
such great coffee! seriously is so yummy & high quality. owner/barista is awesome! i love the NY vibe.

Tiny place with outdoor seating only, right by the Pico line. Both the barista and the dog gave great customer service.
Spent the weekend in LA downtown for a convention and tried out this coffee spot since it was close by. I was surprised at how amazing the matcha and coffee was here. The earl grey matcha was 10/10-not grainy/watery, super creamy. The owner also made us a blueberry lemonade that was off the menu and it was SO good. Stoped by 4 times over the span of two days. Would definitely recommend this to anyone in the area
Virtual Coffee is a small albeit popular coffee shop in Los Angeles. They’re known for its quality drinks, friendly service, and convenient location near the Pico Metro station. They offer not just coffee but other drinks as well such as smoothie, juices etc. Indoor atmosphere was chill and welcoming. Staff were nice and competent. I came on a Friday afternoon to grab coffee. And it was okay. Parking in the is challenging because it’s in DTLA. Overall, it’s a nice convenient coffee shop.

The barista said he always uses two percent milk even when the customer asks for whole milk. But, he doesn't tell the customer. He just makes your coffee the way he wants to. It's too bad because the dog is cute. After reading the bad reviews (too late for me), you can go anywhere else and get better coffee, service and a much better day. Save yourself!!
Coffee is good. Service is mid. Been there twice. First time was during anime expo - I walked on my 15 min break to get coffee here and the guy said he was closing at 7:30 even though his Google hours said 8pm. When I mentioned this, he scoffed, said he just changed it temporarily to get anime goers. So I wasted my break because he didn’t stay open til 8 like he posted on Google Maps. Went a second time recently to support small business. He didn’t greet me when I walked in but he did noticeably size me up. I was still deciding and instead of a friendly “any questions?” he just rushed me with a “what can I get for you.” He didn’t ask what size coffee I wanted and just gave me a small. When I said I’d wanted a medium, he said he didn’t have medium lids. So I accepted and just walked away. Two kinda crappy experiences with this place. He was wearing a necklace that said “F Off” and that was def the vibe. I wanted to like the mom and pop place but I’ll stick with Bluestone around the corner.

For an empty establishment it was not clean and the owner was very rude. No pastries available and the drinks weren’t anything special. You’re better off going elsewhere. Nice shop but ehhh.

I recently visited this coffee shop and decided to leave right away. When my sister and I entered, none of the three employees acknowledged us. We greeted the cashier, who responded while distracted by his phone. When I asked about strawberry matcha, he replied curtly and pointed to the menu. I am unsure if our experience was influenced by our race, but I would not recommend this location to people of color.
The tall guy in the mornings has such a poor attitude. As soon as they open I ask for the most basic cold brew with brown sugar. "I dont know if I have any more milk" "so you consider sugar flavor?" If your 86ing milk at a coffee shop please close until your restocked. There's 5 coffee shops on one street. Ill go where I dont need to deal with your hang over.
