Tip: Start with extra mild spice level, as even mild can be very spicy. Consider sharing a bowl between 2-4 people due to the large portion sizes.

It tastes same as korea. So yummy. Order thru app so you can get 50% off for 1st order!
It was our first time there. We asked about recommendations and let me tell you everything was wonderful. The service and attentiveness we received was everything. It's little things like that besides the delicious food that will always make you want to go back. Everything is shareable by the way and that's awesome!
This is the best Korean restaurant I’ve ever visited! 🇰🇷🍲 The food is genuinely spicy 🌶️, just as they promise. I tried the original spice, and it was perfectly spicy while maintaining a wonderful balance of flavors. 😋✨ I ordered their Yup O with extra fish cakes 🐟 instead of rice cakes, along with fried dumplings 🥟, cellophane noodles 🍜, and onion rings 🧅. Everything was absolutely delicious! The portions are huge 🍽️—I had leftovers, and when I reheated them the next day, they tasted even better! 🔥👌 I truly miss their food 🥹. If I lived nearby, I’d visit all the time to explore more of their menu. For anyone who loves authentic Korean food, I highly recommend this place! 🌟❤️
If you love spicy this is definitely the place to go. Huge portion sizes with extreme spice levels. Be very weary as their extra mild is still significantly spicier than hot Cheetos. One bowl can fill 2-4 people ---------- Extra Mild Yup O Grade: A- Even at extra mild this is not too far from my upper limits of spice tolerance. This place might have the most well cooked tteok (rice cake) I've had. Super bouncy and chewy without being sticky or overly chewy. My only "complaint" is I wish there was a bit more cheese on top
My go-to spicy rice cake place. I always get the set B rice cake option with extra mild for the spicy level(because their mild is not mild at all hahaha). The bowl is huge, big enough for three people. I just love the chewiness of the rice cake and all the toppings that come along with it. Making rice balls is also fun! Super attentive staff too!
I love this place. There is nothing not to like except how small the restaurant is. It is very small and very popular so the wait can get long, especially during dinner hours and the lot can become packed with cars so parking is a nightmare. Beware of spice. My boyfriend and I shared an extra mild and for me it's good. There was sweetness with a little tang. there is no "no spicy" options so anyone who cannot tolerate an ounce of spice is out of luck. The options are endless for what you can add-in. My boyfriend loved their blood sausage, I love the texture but the irony flavor is not for me but he did claim to be the BEST sausage he probably has ever had in his life so I am sure it meant something. Service is top class. they accidentally placed the neighboring table order on ours for 2 seconds and then gave us free yogurt as an apology. No one was angry but we appreciated the drink!
Came here twice in 2 weeks with friends. Really yummy food. I liked the options they had for sides/to add and also the drinks they had like Yo Cool and Banana milk. We went for the Yup O both times (more fish cakes than rice cakes). Highly recommend. We also went with Mild rather than Original because it was already a bit spicy (easier to eat for a longer time). The fried spam is really good! Rice balls were decent but nothing too special (thinking of the jumbo rice ball).
A long wait (about an hour) before getting seated, but it was worth it. The staff was extraordinarily friendly and the atmosphere was lively. Three of us shared the mild (2/5 stars) with 2x ramens, fried seaweed, and cheese. This was more than enough food for the three of us! And when the bill came, I was astounded at the low price. It was all delicious, but 2 outta 5 is a solid spice level for someone not accustomed to the dish. I love a spicy kick and think I'll need to come back a few times before I'm ready for a 3. 100% would recommend!!!
Man, Yupdduk located in the heart of K-Town got me sweating in the best way. Parking kinda sucks in that tiny strip mall, and the spot only got like four little tables squeezed together... I grabbed mine to go. Got the best set combo with everything in it. I picked extra mild thinking I was safe… nah...I was still burning up lol. Next time I'm asking for super mild. But man… the 떡볶이 (tteokbokki) hit the spot. Little on the sweet side, but end of the day it gets the job done. Addictive, messy, spicy happiness. ✔️
At no fault of their own, there popularity exceeds their number of tables. While the early dinner wait was long, about 45 minutes, the wait was worth it. Our very friendly server did not hold back at fully answering menu questions. Follow up table checks were timely and not overbearing like how some small restaurants can be. Food was fresh and matched what the server explained it would be. Beware, the Spicy Dishes are very much so, even when selecting the mild option. The complimentary pickled turnip(maybe?) is both a good pallet cleanser and way to lessen the heat of the spicier options.
I’ve always wanted to try the kind of tteokbokki you see in Korea, and this was the perfect place for it! It was just as spicy as they said, but still really flavorful and satisfying. The fish cakes were delicious, the portions is huge so it’s definitely a challenge to finish, but you can take the rest to go, which is great. The staff were super friendly as well. Overall I had a really great dinner.
The spice level at mild was close to when I eat a bunch of buldak noodles. So glad I went with mild. My nose was dripping halfway through the meal. I have a higher spice tolerance than most too. Fresh serranos and bird's eye chilis are my friend. I got the combo with more rice cakes, next time I'll try the one with more fish cakes. The rice balls are needed, trust me.
The spicy Korean rice cake is ok by my taste. It's not the greatest. In fact, I make a better one at home. I don't like the melted cheese on top & the chili sauce taste is average. The prices are kinda high & it's really for young folks that wants try it out for the first time. Unfortunately, It won't be a regular hang out for me.
I went here on a whim the other day and walked out confused and frustrated. The place looks closed from the outside, the open sign wasn’t on but it was open. I went in with a mango because I a digestive condition I have eat them with my meals. The lady wouldn’t listen to me she just kept saying I couldn’t bring a singular mango in when I literally ordered a whole $30 meal. She was rude and talked fast as if she was dismissing me, at this point I didn’t want the food so I asked her if I could take it to go and she told me no 😂. I said can’t you just put the food in a to go box? And she literally looked at me and said no. I waited 30 minutes for basic food I could get from a street vendor. Anyways, the food is bland and basic and not worth the attitude or bad service. I won’t be coming back here unless that lady no longer works there.
I bought the rice cake for pick up. Spice level was mild but unable to eat. It was extremely spicy. I am Korean and I can tolerate a lot of spice, but this is a new level of spice. Rice cakes used are frozen rice cakes and for its flavor and quantity and taste, Not worth the hype and price. Also, they ask if you will sign up for text for 50% off first order, i signed up but did not receive the discount either. Will not return, will not recommend.
. Just order the tteokbokki here. The chicken stew and chicken feet are really not good. I ordered the chicken stew because it reminded me of what I used to eat in Korea, but as expected, it didn’t taste anything like it. Maybe it’s because the ingredients are different—the flavor was off, and even though I ordered it mild, it wasn’t spicy at all. I froze half of the chicken stew, but I ended up just throwing it away. The chicken feet were so tough that they were inedible, so I threw them all out too. It completely ruined my Friday evening. I wanted to ask for a refund, but I figured they wouldn’t give me one just because it didn’t taste good, so I held back. 떡볶이는 한국엽떡까진 아니어도 비슷한편, 하지만 닭볶음탕, 닭발은...진짜 솔직히 왜파는지 모르겠음 닭발 특히 비리고 양념맛없고 질기고 거뭇거뭇함
