One of the best Korean food I have ever had. The service was great, the food was amazing.
One of my favorite kbbq restaurants. Obviously with a lot of celebrities the food was going to be good but all the food was fresh, high quality, and worth the price. It is a bit more expensive than other kbbq restaurants but it’s definitely worth it. All the meats were really good so I don’t have a favorite but definitely get the fried rice at the end. The sides are not your “standard” banchan but they are really good so don’t be thrown off. Parking was paid but was fairly easy because it’s a lot inside next to the restaurant. Service was great and overall was great experience. The autographs were also cool and a cool thing to do while waiting for your seat. Definitely worth it.
Finally came to Ahgassi Gopchang on my latest trip to LA. My friends had been raving about it. We got there around 5:30 on a Sunday and only waited maybe 10–15 minutes for a table for 3. Loved looking at all the Kpop groups and celebrity signatures in the meantime. We ordered the large intestine bbq selection for 3 people, and it was SO GOOD. One of the best meals I’ve had recently. So nice that the servers help cook the meat — I would not have known when they were fully cooked. The banchan and sides are also delicious. Loved the steamed egg and cold broth. The intestine is so flavorful, chewy and succulent — barely needed the sauces. Toward the end, servers used the remaining intestines and fat to make fried rice. We were so full at that point, but it was so good. I legitimately can’t wait to plan another trip to LA just to go to Ahgassi again. For 3 people plus soju and including tip, we paid $172 ($57/person).
Celebrated my niece's bday here while we were visiting LA. Meat was superb and I like that it was the staff who cooked the meat 😅 Did not want for additional side dishes because there was a lot and they refill too. Went on a weekday so we didn't have to line up for tables. But if you're going on a weekend, beware of the crowd. Being an Army, this was a must-go-eat place for me!
I loved my time here. The restaurant was crowded, but the service was fast and efficient. Our table was already set with side dishes before we even sat down. The servers cooked the meat for us, so all we had to do was sit back, relax, and enjoy the meal. Noise level: Medium. You can carry on a conversation, though there is some ambient background noise.
Very yummy! 🥢 Blackpink and other K-pop stars have been here in LA. The service is excellent, and I love that you don’t have to cook the BBQ yourself — they handle everything perfectly so you can just relax and enjoy. The meats are tender and flavorful, and the side dishes are fresh and plentiful. Definitely worth a visit if you’re a K-BBQ fan!
We walked in for lunch and we immediately got seated. We ordered the Small Aghassi combo With steamed egg, soft tofu soup and lots of seaweed for my daughter! I love that their service is so efficient and they cook the meat for you and change the grill when they give a different kind of meat It was so much meat we even got to take some pork belly home.
Ahgassi Gopchang is our favorite Korean BBQ restaurant in the whole North American. We first visited a couple years ago and it was so good. We still remember it from time to time and was wondering if it was just because the memory keeps beautify itself. But we visited it again a couple months ago and it was still the best! We had the Ahgassi combo with extra order of beef intestines and they were amazing and so much food for 2 of us. High quality meats with good service. We will come back every time we are in LA.
The meat quality here was absolutely outstanding, and the service was impressively fast. Every staff member we encountered was kind and professional, but I have to give special recognition to Royce, who took care of our table. He grilled the meat to absolute perfection and made our experience even more enjoyable with his thoughtful and friendly conversations. If you plan to visit, I highly recommend asking for a table in Royce’s section—you won’t be disappointed. His explanations and recommendations were by far the best I’ve experienced in any restaurant during my time living in the U.S. For full transparency, we have no personal connection to him. We simply walked in on Mother’s Day without any expectations and left completely satisfied thanks to the exceptional service. All the meats, including the tripe, were incredibly fresh—definitely not frozen—and grilled to perfection. We had such a wonderful experience here and will gladly return.
Pretty spacious Korean BBQ restaurant. This is THE spot for 곱창구이. Even better than 곱창bbq restaurants in S.Korea. this restaurant has been a stable, must go spot whenever I visit L.A. since more than 10 years ago. We got the gobchang combo and beef combo. Gobchang combo comes with ig reel worthy fire performance, and servers are kind and thoughtful to let us know in advance when to start recording. All food tastes very delicious, and servers actually help cook every single dish. As most Kbbq else where we have to cook our own food, this is such a delightful experience. Very attaintative service, I felt 심쿵 when I accidently dropped my pair of chopsticks but a server just quickly brought a new pair and placed it on our table before I even got a chance to ask (#츤데레 오빠 #심쿵 #tsndere) on his way to serve other table. Can't wait to go back to try the new 차돌밖이 철판볶음밥 brisket fried rice.
Five stars for the quality time with my girl! 🥰 Food and dining was on par with other kbbq restaurants but the intestines are the main event and reason to come to Ahgassi. ⭐️ We were impressed by their level of service, that earned them an extra star! 🌟 The walls of celeb autographs was also impressive. From BTS to blackpink and dozens of others, worth popping in to check them out if you are near by. A few other sits of interest nearby are shared in photos below. We chose to hit up feel karaoke (same plaza, upstairs behind the valet podium) after dinner. This round two spot requires advanced reservations so book online or get held up at checkin. We decided to call it an early night, especially because it was a Tuesday and we both had things to do in the next day but we will plan ahead next time. The convenience of shared parking makes Ahgassi plus karaoke at Feel the perfect night out 🫶
New favorite K-BBQ spot! The meat quality is 10/10, the service is incredibly friendly, and the vibes are immaculate. If you haven't been here yet, you're missing out. Highly recommend!

Been here several times over the years and recently the food quality isn’t as good. The meat tasted rough or unusual so had to dip it in salt more to cover up the flavor. Pork was a little watery too, usually means it’s been frozen a little too long. But overall I do enjoy coming here with friends and having a good time. Servers are attentive and friendly, very quick to get orders and refills in. Atmosphere is loud and welcoming.
We often visit this Korean barbecue restaurant as a family, and one of the things I appreciate the most is that the staff does all the grilling for you, which allows us to sit back, relax, and really enjoy our meal together. The restaurant itself is quite spacious, and in our experience, there has hardly ever been a wait. We usually go between lunch and early evening, and each time we’ve been seated right away with no delay. The tables are always well prepared in advance, with salt, sauces, and condiments neatly arranged, creating a welcoming start. A generous variety of side dishes is served immediately. I especially love the kimchi jjigae it has a slightly strong flavor, but the spice and richness make it incredibly satisfying. The steamed egg (gyeran-jjim) is also a favorite, with its fluffy, delicate texture. As for the meat, while some cuts can be a little on the firmer side, the wide variety ensures that the meal never feels repetitive. Paired with rice and side dishes, it’s always a filling and enjoyable experience. Whenever the spice becomes overwhelming, the sweet potato offered as a palate cleanser is absolutely perfect. The staff work quickly and efficiently at the grill, which gives the impression that they are always busy, yet attentive. Overall, the food is quite good and satisfying, though I feel there may be other places that could be even more impressive, so I look forward to exploring and trying different restaurants as well.
The wait was long, but it was good! We went to a nearby bar while we waited for a table. The meat was good, but my favorite was the grilled intestines (Gopchang-gui) was the highlight. I know it sounds horrible, but it is SO GOOD! Fatty and so flavorful! Highly recommended! They actually grill the meat for you, just like I'm South Korea. This is a Korean Celebrity hot spot!
Menu display efficient and is prepared for you. A nice change so cooked to what must patrons like it. I’m sure they would make exception if well done is preferred. The 4 meat pick was enjoyable especially the beef strip. The other pork was similar to other Korean bbq. The establishment had been frequently with many K-pop entertainers eg: Stray kids, BTS, Black pink. It’s “okay,”just one of many places yo visit in LA. ….As always post wherever you end up. Because u never know until u go.
Ahgassi Gopchang has that celebrity status of a Korean BBQ restaurant and rightly so💯 (apparently, a lot of celebrities have come to this restaurant too ✨). However, be prepared to spend at least $50/person💸 to fully enjoy all the amazing food that they offer. In terms of the wait, it gets really crowded on the weekends. We waited for around 30 minutes for our table (so not too bad) 👌🏼. As for their service, I thought the waiters were a little impatient. It felt like they were constantly rushing us to finish our food, which made the experience less enjoyable. With that said, the bathroom was clean. The food: - Beef Tongue 🐄👅 (10/10): The thickness of the meat was perfect; it wasn't too thin nor thick. They were fresh and juicy! - Pork Belly🐖 (10/10): The distribution of the fats and the fats of the pork belly were immaculate on the serving that we received. They needed a little bit more time to cook (pork meat has to be fully cooked for safety reasons) but it was totally worth it! - Boneless short-rib 🐄(10/10): This was probably our favorite meat of the day! Juicy, thick, tender and flavorful! Totally recommended The only reason that I am not giving a full 5-star is because of their pricing and customer service. Nevertheless, this restaurant is totally recommended 💯🏆!

This is one of the most “famous” restaurant in LA, so me and my husband wanted to try it out to see if it is good. We had reservation so we didn’t have to wait in line. To be honest, overcrowded, overhyped and overpriced. The tables are really close together, and we (3 people) were sitting in an inside corner, so one of us had to squeeze through other table to reach their seats. A waiter is responsible for like 6 tables, so they were very very busy, they didn’t really have time to ask if we were there before, any recommendations. We actually wanted to try big intestine, but since we are not Koreans we ordered the gopchang combo and thought it would be what we expected. That was our fault, so later we ordered extra big intestine. We also had the marinated short ribs, kimchi stew. I felt like the menu is not very clear, there are steamed egg and 1 type of stew included in our combo, but it wasn’t mentioned anywhere on the menu. Banchan is also mediocre and tbh, sad looking, the variety is not good, and if you want kimchi, you have to ask for it. Short rib was good, well marinated and had a good bite to it, but pretty expensive for the amount of meat we get. The kimchi stew and soft tofu stew (in the combo) was okay, very small size though. Gopchang is not marinated at all?, and it had some mushy texture inside, it felt a bit bitter sometimes so definitely not my favorite. Finally big intestine, we had it in a couple places before and they had pretty good impression to me, but somehow here I felt it was just too fatty. There were also kimchi fried rice in the combo, not too bad, my husband liked it but i thought i was a tad bit salty. The best cut out of the night would be the short ribs, other than that I don’t think it stands up for its name: Ahgassi Gopchang, but might just be my own taste
I decided to give this place another try since they’re well known for gobchang. This time we ordered the modeum combo. The flavor was decent, but I found that too much oil collected in the pan, which made the food feel heavier than expected and took away from the overall experience. On the positive side, the side dishes were tasty and helped balance things out, and the fire show added a fun element to the meal. We even spotted a few celebrities while dining, which was a nice surprise. The wait was quite long and service could have been better, though it may have just been a low-staffed night.

Food was good but could not make up for their horrible service. No menu was provided as we settled down at the table (not even the QR code for online menu), and only shown after we tried to ask them for the menu the second time. Also the communication was difficult when we couldn’t understand what the servers spoke to us. They missed the rice when we ordered the combo and only provided it after we asked.
Today I came to this barbecue restaurant and found a fingernail in my food! It was absolutely disgusting and I couldn’t continue eating. As a restaurant, they have failed to maintain even the most basic hygiene standards, which makes me seriously doubt the cleanliness of their kitchen and the personal hygiene of their staff. This was deeply disappointing. I will definitely never come back and would not recommend anyone take the risk of dining here. I used to come to this restaurant often. Although they waived the bill for us, I still felt extremely disgusted. Food safety issues like this are completely unacceptable. Please be careful, everyone
