A car focused eatery and concert venue on the South side of Lubbock. You can't miss this place as you exit off the interstate and see all the nostalgic old gas station signs whining the parking lot and property. As we first drove in, we noticed the freshly used concert venue from the night before. As you drive to the back end gift shop/neon shop. Very nice young lady working the shop who provided great information about the property. We walk to next door to the restaurant. The service was friendly and prompt. The food was a little slower this day due to a new kitchen staff but the atmosphere made the wait almost unnoticeable. Why we didn't have any this time, the bar seemed large and ready to serve.

This is a must stop if traveling south of Lubbock. Passing through Sweetwater was worth it. The cars and music were fun, and all the neon signs made the West Texas drive so much fun.

Has an amazing chicken fry chicken meal. My son ordered fish and it was dang near the size of his plate. All of out meals were good and great priced. Live music. Good fast service. Kid friendly

Coffee and Cars at Cook's Garage is an event I always look forward to! The first Saturday of each month is ear-marked for this which is typically from 8am-10am (and it's free!). You can bring your vehicle to show off while hanging out with other enthusiasts or just come by and visit and see all the hot cars and trucks!

What a fun place! We had lunch here on a Sunday. They had live music that was enjoyable, you could still enjoy the conversation at the table and the music. We sat in the bar area the music was in the connecting room - open area. We will be back.

Just had one of the best experiences here. We just came in just for dessert and coffee and to check this place out. Most servers frown when they know their table is only having dessert but Amber didn’t even bat an eye. She was so sweet and served our coffee in these cute little coffee cups. And told us that the cups came from the owners memaws house.

What a fantastic stop! The food was above average. The pot roast was tasty and plentiful. It came with 2 sides and the broccoli was cooked to perfection and the sautéed mushrooms were as well. But the decor was a feast for the soul. As a Tech Alum from the 90's... I appreciated all the neon near the location of the old strip. The vintage signs and cars were everywhere and was displayed well for all to enjoy. Well done Cooks... well done.

Tried this place for the first time after wanting to for a while. It did not disappoint. Got seated immediately on a Sunday afternoon. Waitress was very prompt and friendly. Ordered two hamburger plates and an appetizer of cheese fries. Everything was cooked well and tasted great. Would definitely come here again.

We love Cooks Garage! Such a fun atmosphere and so much to look at while you are there. Kind of feel transported into a movie when you drive in!

This is such a cool venue. We were there for a concert so we didn't get to try the food, but as a fan of antique memorabilia I absolutely loved this place. The drink prices were really good for a concert venue so I appreciated that. It never took us too long to get drinks either even other concert was really crowded. Really the only knock on this place I would say is the bathroom set up. They need to build on some bathrooms for sure. I would recommend checking it out though if you haven't. It's very cool

I was so disappointed last night. Went to dinner at a popular restaurant last night with great company!! An order was made with extras on the fries and the server said that will be extra. I didn’t think much of it at this point. When it came time to order my Josiah his ice cream, I asked, may we get ice cream? Our server states, you’ll have to pay for it—with attitude behind it. The first I was able to let it go, but not the second time. I wasn’t asking or expecting anything for free, just wanted to make my child happy. Although my food was delicious (it was my first time there) at Cook’s Garage last night, the service for our server was terrible!! Can’t say I really would recommend this place when being treated like I can’t afford something ice cream for my kids.

Went to the place for the first time Loved the decor and cool stuff. What disappointed me was we got there as they opened. Ordered 2 Cobb salads and waited and waited and waited. After 30 minutes we had enough. Got up to leave and they finally showed up with a salad that was a pile of lettuce and chicken on top. Not a Cobb. We left before I would be really disappointed with the food they brought. They have a cool place but no more going there

It’s dumb to have all the chairs in front. People who stand want to be closer. Also not enough beers stands. One notable positive is the cash bar.

Arrived at 8:39 pm and was turned away because the kitchen was closing. Stated time for Sunday closing is 10 pm. But we could drink at the bar. Drove a distance for this.
