This is a really good place for Vietnamese food. The portion was huge. All the food I ordered was delicious. I definitely come back again.
As a regular tourist using LAX, this gem of a restaurant has become my last place for a meal nearby the airport. The food is so delicious, and moreover it stays very reasonably priced. Mostly I go for the combination Pho (no 7) which you can choose in 4 sizes for in between 11 and 19 USD. They have a preference for cash payments, and it's always possible to find a parking spot in the lot in front. As they say in French "vaut le détour"
I visited this spot on a Friday night after seeing good reviews online. The line was long, so I added my name to the waiting list and waited about 30 minutes. I ordered the shrimp spring roll, the pork belly banh mi, and the beef and meatball pho. The shrimp spring roll tasted great and came with three pieces. The pork belly banh mi was excellent, with pork belly grilled well with a nice char. The pho was above average, nothing special. The pho I get in Chicago is better. Service moved fast and my food came out right away. I would like to come back and try other dishes.
11/08/2025: Went on this day with my 2 nieces who live in the area. The place is busy and we were fortunate enough to be seated shortly. Wait time for food arrival is reasonable. Service is good. The 3 of us really enjoyed our foods. No complaints. We were 15 minutes into eating when the place got so packed (no pun intended). Would like to go back when I visit my nieces. Thank you!
Been coming to eat here for the last 20+ years!! Amazing food, to be specific with which items-let’s just say everything on the menu!! The environment is both magnetic and welcoming. Service is what you would consider “great customer service” and how it should be. Can’t even think of a time I walked out disappointed. Oh and the memory on that man Jon. Anyone I have ever too with me and introduced to him he not once, well maybe one time but he has always remembered their name AND what they order. I got my 15uo hooked on it as it’s been definitely a place he’s grownup in. We will always and forever continue to eat Saigon Dish till their ending days whenever that would be but that doesn’t look like it would be anytime soon!! Definitely ***** A++ and 100!! 👌🏻
Saigon Dish was highly recommended to me as a Vietnamese restaurant that rivals the best ones in Little Saigon. I had the opportunity to try pho here a couple of times and even sampled other items. I knew I was in for a treat when I saw a line of people waiting outside. Pros: - The menu has a wide variety of Vietnamese dishes from pho to banh xeo (Vietnamese crepes) to com tam (broken rice) to banh hoi (woven rice vermicelli). -The staff works very efficiently to seat guests ASAP. -To me, the non-pho dishes are the main attractions. The mi kho “dried egg noodles” with small bowl of soup on the side is my favorite. It’s so yummy and comes with a generous portion of shrimp, pork, and meatballs. The sauce on the side is perfectly seasoned, not too sweet or salty. -The goi cuon nem nuong (crispy pork patty rolls) are also phenomenal. A better deal than the spring rolls, too. Cons: -The wait for a table could be long on weekends and peak hours. So go on a weekday. -Parking may be hard to find on weekends or peak hours. So park at the Vietnamese market plaza next door. -The pho here could be hit or miss. It was flavorful my first time, but during my second time it was lacking in flavor. Will be back to try other dishes on their menu!
Saigon Dish is DELICIOUS! My family enjoyed some amazingly delicious lunch at S.D. There was no wait for a table, but the place was jam packed for lunch. Clearly, it's a favorite lunch joint for folks nearby. The brisket pho is truly a treat. Additionally, the spring rolls are just spectacular! I had a little bit of the bahn mi and that, too, was phenomenal. If I lived nearby, I would frequent Saigon Dish on the regular. The food, service and prices are where it's at! If you're on the hunt for some great pho, hit up Saigon Dish.
The Baseline: For a Vietnamese cafe the Pho must be quality, the accompaniment add-in ingredients must be fresh, the meats must be well prepared, and menu must have authentic Vietnamese flavors. August 27, 2025 Update: Food: Had the Brisket and filet steak Pho which was tasty and delicious. The Banh Mi was toasty and the pork was well grilled. Otherwise we had our two standards of the Bun Cha Gio Thit Nuong (Egg roll / grilled pork noodle salad) #26 and the Shaken Beef and Rice #46 which were great as always. Service: Great service but it was a pick up order. I had everything at home and it was packaged well. Ambiance: The restaurant was clean and well organized with an efficient operation for call in orders. Original Review July 14, 2025 Food: You come here for the food. The Vietnamese flavors and style is prime here. Top dishes in the years I have been coming here is the Pho Filet Mignon, Shaken Beef Rice Plate, Bun Cha Gio Thit Nuong (grilled pork/egg roll vermicelli salad, and the Bahn Mi Sandwhich. The Pho broth is like having a healing broth that has always made me happy when I have felt sick or it is a cold winter night. For appetizers the shrimp spring rolls are a got to must. Also the Thai Iced tea and young coconut is a great drink besides water. Service: Great service from the wait staff and they serve you like it is a trained routine. Payment is at the front register and if you pay in cash you can take 5% off the bill. Tip you wait staff! Also they don’t walk around with refilling water so you may need to ask for the refills. Ambiance: The restaurant is clean and well maintained but it is no frills. Table setup is well placed and seating is comfortable to have your meal. Bathrooms are clean and serviced but can be messy on a busy day due to patrons being sloppy.
Arrived at 10:30am and a lot of parking and many tables were open. We were greeted and seated immediately and everyone was welcoming. We ordered chicken pho, filet mignon pho and i cant remember the exact name of the other plate but it was spicy beef, shrimp and pork with noodles. Everything was delicious! The spicy plate was not that spicy. It was more like a sweet and spicy but it was delicious. I definitely recommend this place.
I had the pleasure to dine here quite often until 7-8 years ago. I vividly remember how the owner John took such great care of not only the customers but also the staff, greeted us every time and remembered our favorite orders! Today is the first time I came back in the past 8 years. I’m so happy to see the restaurant is still packed, business is thriving and customers are happy. Kudos to John and his staff that managed everything so well beyond Covid and the inflation. To my great surprise, he still remembered me! I would definitely come back more often. I ordered their famous vermicelli noodle salad to go. # 26 spring rolls with grilled pork is my favorite, topped with fresh lettuce, bean sprouts, crushed peanuts and mint. The sweet and sour (yet light) sauce is as amazing as I can recall. The price is very reasonable (less than $15) for a huge portion. I HIGHLY recommend John’s business to everyone.
You should definitely add your name to the waiting list arrive at least 15 minutes before coming. This is the best Vietnamese food I’ve ever had! The pho, vermicelli pho, and banh xeo are absolutely amazing. The prices are reasonable, the flavors are incredible, and the food comes out super fast. Plus, the staff is incredibly efficient at clearing and resetting tables, so customers don’t have to wait too long. This is hands down my favorite Vietnamese restaurant! Let me know if you’d like any adjustments!
This spot in LA offers authentic and reasonably priced Vietnamese dishes with generous portions. The friendly staff adds to the overall positive experience. While opinions may vary, I respectfully disagree with one of the comments I saw about the "bun bo” at this spot, which said it was too bland. In my experience, their "bun bo" is prepared in the way it supposes to be, with clear soup and the addition of chili/annatto oil. The flavors are great, and I highly recommend giving it a try to judge for yourself.
5/5, I went here with my coworkers and was really impressed by what you get for the price. I got a delicious bahn mi for $6 and the #14 pho with brisket for $10. Usually I pay at least $20 for comparable pho alone. Besides the price, the flavor of the pho was one of the best I have tried and the sauces they had on the table made it stand out even more. The service was quick and the food came out really fast even though we were a group of ten. I definitely recommend trying this as a low cost option for great tasting Vietnamese food!
Saw this place on a best vietnamese places to eat LA. Definitely lived up to the hype. Spring rolls and egg rolls were delicious! And the Pho was also really good. They have so many more authentic dishes on the menu. Large portions at very reasonable prices. Definitely a must try when in the area. Will be back to try other dishes.
The food is always great. We got the Pho Ga, Vegetarian Pho, veggie egg rolls & Jasmine tea which they brew with leaves not tea bags. It took a while to get our female waitress so we could order & she did not follow up to see how we were doing or if we needed anything until we got the attention of someone else and then she would come but they had already helped us. It just felt like she does the bare minimum and doesn’t really care. There was a gentleman with such a pleasant attitude who assisted us a few times, checked on my aunt & I and was very helpful. I forgot to take photographs of our meals but they were so good we ordered an extra bag of toppings for our leftovers.
Pho is good. Not too salty. Summer rolls are spot on. Just stay away from the banh mi. I’ve given it multiple tries. Just too dry and bland. Service is excellent. You can tell they practically know the regulars by name as they stop to talk as they’re paying. It’s a neighborhood establishment for sure.
I couldn’t get in on the weekend because of the line, but I visited on a weekday evening instead. On Wednesday around 7:30 PM, the place was almost full. Despite being busy, the food was served fairly quickly. I played it safe and ordered the brisket pho, which was delicious. Everything others were having looked hearty and tasty as well, so I’m looking forward to trying something different next time. The staff weren’t very friendly but we'll be back!
The staff worked quickly, but the service felt a bit rough. I ordered the dry noodles, and while the flavor was really good, the noodles were clumped together so much that it was hard to pick them up with chopsticks. I think that’s something that needs improvement. That said, it’s still the kind of restaurant that makes me want to come back and try other dishes.
It’s been awhile since I been here. I went a lot before 2020. My normal pho combination large is my go to. The pho broth is always on point. The meat quantity went down. They use to give a lot but now just a minimum requirement. The spring rolls were good as an appetizer. Vietnamese ice coffee was on point . Still a great spot. Would recommend to try it out.
