Buscando un lugar para comer por la zona del Matadero ( Legazpi ) me llama la atención este local , cuenta con un menú del día bastante recomendable en relación calidad-precio. En líneas generales, no me defraudó. De primero pedí una crema de calabaza y zanahorias y de segundo plato secreto con patatas , la carne espectacular la única pega la moderna moda de filetear en tiras la carne, las patatas caseras, no congeladas. Y de postre, hay bastante variedad me decanté por una bola de helado de vainilla. La atención por parte de las camareras muy educada y correcta. En definitiva, un local muy recomendable

Enero 2026. Gran lugar para tomar algo con niños y buen ambiente. Los topos caseros y hamburguesas buenas. Nos atendió una camarera majísima y super atenta. Nachos ricos,.hamburguesas ricas, patatas caseras y muy buenas y postres buenos. Aunque solo pudimos probar las tortitas. Recomendable!

Si bien es cierto que la terraza estaba llena, hasta decir basta, el interior está menos concurrido. La chica que nos atendió y nos orientó sobre qué pedir, de maravilla. Lo que pedimos estaba muy rico,si bien es cierto que no eres de mucho comer. Más bien es para picar algo. La única pega que le pongo es la iluminación de dentro del local, escasa a mí modo de ver si tienes que leer textos, pero es una apreciación muy particular

Relaxed atmosphere for couples and groups of friends. Menu has burgers and sandwiches and some healthy options like salads and couscous which are very tasty. Smoothies are good too. Not 5 stars because the food isn't amazing and the last few times we went there the juices didn't taste freshly squeezed.

A nice place by the Rio with decent hamburgers at moderate prices. They also do some different types of breakfast, not just your usual toast with tomato (which they also do!). A good spot for dinner or lunch with friends.

Costello Río sits next to a busy roundabout and has seating inside and outside. We sat indoors beside a window at around 1pm. The menu is in Spanish but it’s easy to understand basically what the food is on offer (or use Google translate). There’s a smaller menu with food and coffee/tea included. The Ensalada Tabulé del tio César is cous cous with shredded chicken and raisins mixed in. That really hit the spot and was tasty. Never had it before and I’d order it again. The staff were busy but friendly and the interior was warm and inviting. The cost came to €13 for two.

Order the Gran Kajuna burger and get stuffed up. If you like it a bit bloody order it raw otherwise it will too done (IMHO). Nice service, good prices. Juices & shakes too. Perfect plan after Matadero. Will come back to try the ribs.

Recommended for family with kids. They are friendly and there's plenty of place for your stroller :) Food is good value for money. The french fries are recommended in general.

Across Matadero, this is a great place to sit down with a fresh beer while you see the world passing by through its huge windows. I recommend to go early, since it fills up very quickly, and there is always a waiting list mainly during the weekends and in summer, when they put a nice terraza. Waiters are nice. Food is ok, very unpretentious, and when I order I go safe with the hamburgers and the chiken wings. But is a lively place located in an area which is becominh more and more interesting. Get a Mojito and your tapa, and enjoy it!

La comida es correcta, sin más. Los huevos con chorizo son muy grasientos así que no los recomendaría. La burrata, mejor. Los camareros son muy amables pero están hasta arriba, necesitan ayuda con terrazas tan llenas. La ubicación es buena.

El servicio nunca ha sido demasiado rápido en este restaurante, y esta vez no ha sido una excepción, aunque prisa no teníamos así que no nos importó demasiado. la carta la han subido bastante últimamente y la calidad de la comida justa, los sandwiches sabrosos pero secos, los entrantes sin más con raciones nada grandes. Lo mejor que pedimos las hamburguesas muy buenas con opción normal o finita, pero te cobran 3€ más si quieres patatas 🍟, también muy bueno el wok de pollo. Los postres genial, las tartas son caseras, en eso siguen manteniendo la calidad. En resumen calidad precio ha bajado bastante y la carta se ha reducido, aunque algunas cosas siguen estando ricas y la terraza es agradable. También tienen menú del día, pero no merece la pena, por la zona hay muchos otros mejores.

Hemos ido hoy,día de carnaval,con reserva y al llegar le habían dado a otra persona pero bueno lo han solucionado rápido. De repente nos han dicho que no tomaban nota,aunque al decir que teníamos reserva nos han dicho que entonces si. La comida,normal,cara para lo que es pero bueno bien. La cuenta hemos tenido que pedirla 3 veces,vamos un poco desastre. Fuimos hace bastante y el recuerdo que teníamos bien pero ahora un poco sin más.

Conocemos el sitio desde hace años pero ha bajado considerablemente la calidad. Estuvimos ayer, tras el Carnaval. Mesa con reserva a las 14.30 para 7 (incluidos niños). Lo primero, llegamos y habían cogido mal el nombre. Segundo, habían sentado a otro grupo en nuestra mesa (nos acomodaron en otra rápidamente, menos mal). Lo tercero, el camarero al que llamamos para que nos tomara nota nos dice que están saturados y no cogen comandas. ¿Perdona?!! Al decirle que veníamos con reserva, fue a consultarlo y pudimos comer...la organización pésima, la comida, aceptable. Han fusionado varias marcas y es un absoluto desastre. Esperemos que mejoren su atención al público porque desde luego ayer, un montón de gente se fue sin comer.

The burgers weren’t bad, but someone needs to organize and manage the staff. They were quite lost, unaware, and inefficient. I’d go back and get the crunchy sandwich or the Cajun burger for sure, but only if I have 2+ hours to sit and wait around on the staff.

It is best to book a table in advance, although they have a quick and efficient system for people in the waiting list. Large terrace with good service outside. Large menu with plenty of choice for vegetarians. Mediterranean and Arabic cuisine. Portions are large and perfect for sharing. Wine menu is good. Perfect for large parties and families.

Ha cambiado su carta, ya no es lo que era! Las patatas costello sin más, los huevos rotos secos y lo peor la burrata que para el precio (17,50€) no vale nada… Han quitado también de la carta platos como el sándwich con aguacate. Deberían subir la calidad o bajar el precio…

El sábado estuve con amigos tomando algo y fue horrible. Las raciones escasas. Nos pusieron una mini tortilla con el precio de una grande en cualquier otro sitio. Hamburguesas del tamaño del McDonalds de 1 euro. Y nos tocó un camarero que no estaba atento. Siempre tuvimos que levantarnos para poder pedir

We went to Costello Río to have dinner not long ago and, honestly, it wasn't a pleasant experience. The food quality is low compared to what you can find across the street in Centro Cultural Matadero for a similar price. I don't know what happened with our beers and we told the waiter the beer didn't taste well so he removed the jars from our table and never came back with new beers. We had to ask the waitress of a different table for the beers. And at the end, they even wanted to charge for two jars each! As I said, not the best choice to go there.

Qué horror!!!!tuvimos que devolver el tartar de atún porque el pescado estaba pasado. La ensalada de burrata de 17,50 euros, indescriptible. Queso malo, sobre tomates pochos, todo nadando en agüilla. Mejor ver la foto. Venía acompañada de pan de molde (adjunto foto). Enhorabuena a los que han puesto reseñas de 5 estrellas, que buenas fotos, parecen profesionales.

El local está bien y los camareros apañados. Sin embargo la cocina muy mala, pedimos un plato de "patatas completas" por 12 euros que aseguraban patatas fritas con mejillones en escabeche, boquerones, piparras y aceitunas gordal. Al recibir el plato contaba con 3 boquerones (secos), 4 mejillones pequeños (secos también), piparra picada (sosa) y sin aceitunas. Es difícil hacer un plato tan sencillo peor, ni producto ni elaboración, pero si un precio desorbitado. Es una tapa grande mala. No volvería a comer ni regalado.

Well I just changed my review from 4 Stars to one, because today the two waiters on the terrace were absolutely terrible, the slowest service imaginable and not because they were busy, just preferred talking to each other or looking in the air. 🤦🏼 Nice corner place. Very different to your "typical" Madrid bar. Has almost a US feeling to it, not in a bad way. Haven't eaten here, just had coffee. Quick and professional service

Not customer friendly. We took a seat at a free table but were immediately moved with gestures to another table because it was more in sight. Ok, no problem. But there we waited for at least 15 minutes for someone to come and help us, but no one came. Then we left...

The place is beautiful. But the service and the food sucks big time. I'm used to receiving a bad service in Spain, it's understandable, not enough staff for the amount of people coming and going... Nonetheless, I have to leave a comment cu the food was just horrible. I ordered a salmon bagel, it was impossible to give another bite after the first one, the bread was old and chewy the taste of the salmon was disgusting I'm sure I did well by not eating the whole piece. The waitress didn't say anything after returning it... This makes me wonder how this kind of businesses keep working...

The waiter in the terrace was very impolite. We were a group of 8 people awaiting seating, he completely ignored us for 3 times, and hasn't answered when we asked for a table. Very lame experience.

They have the very unpleasant habit of taking away everything from your table the second you finish it to guilt trip you into leaving asap. It is expensive and food is not very good.
