We were on Madrid for vacation and we found on TikTok someone that highly recommended this place. We wanted to try it because on the video it seemed so yummy and it certainly was! Everything was exceptional from the very beginning, the attention, the vibe, the menu (we were fighting for our lives trying not to order everything on it 🤣) We chose 2 rolls and 2 appetizers to share and we even had to take one of them to go because the portions are HUGE!!! We couldn’t be more happier with our experience and we will come back before leaving Madrid because it has been a great discovery for us :) PS: Shoutout to the waitresses, even though they don’t speak fluent english they did everything in their power (and I think more) to make our visit something special and memorable. Thank you thank you thank you!

Hit this place on my way to the movies, it is one of the best sushi’s in the area. The pizza was just delicious, I would say i could have just eaten that, in fact, i don’t think you can find sushi pizza in Madrid like this one. We also ordered the spicy tuna sushi and it was perfect. These are big rolls so go easy if you are just a couple. I am definitely coming back and will be sending people this way as well. Its affordable as well. Service was wonderful and so fast. Congratulations to this place, they had truly done well with their sushi

Omg! I love sushi and first I wanted to go to all you can eat restaurant because I eat a lot, so first I was a little skeptical but the rolls were so huge, that you cannot even eat them in one piece 😍 And it tasted amazing! Also we got a sushi pizza that I also tried for the first time, loooved it! The girls there were very very nice and attentive, they also had high chairs for the baby and was sweet to heat up our baby food for us ❤️

This is a fusion restaurant so if you're looking for a traditional Japanese restaurant, then this might not be the place. We ordered the Bomba and the Poke Atun and we loved them both. The Bomba was surprisingly big (you have to bite the roll so definitely not your usual Japanese rolls). Would recommend!

Went to Madrid to visit my dad for his birthday and took him to Sushi Matako. The best decision ever!!! The service was amazing. We ordered a starter to share as well as two roles. It was enough for two people. So delicious, tasty as well as big portions. The prices are good and worth it.. I will highly recommend this restaurant if you want to try sushi with Latin fusion. For sure, will be visiting you guys again in my return to Madrid. All the best!

El lugar limpio y tranquilo, me gustó el sushi y las porciones si eran grandes, no le doy 5 estrellas porque la que atendía las mesas estaba todo el rato con el móvil y tuvimos que llamarla varias veces para que nos atendiera

Primer restaurante de sushi venezolano que pruebo en Madrid y debo decir que está a la altura de los mejores que he probado en Venezuela. En cuanto al tamaño y la relación calidad-precio podría ser incluso el mejor. Pedimos poco para dos personas, una entrada y un plato principal y salimos llenos. Todo estuvo muy bien y definitivamente volvería a ir.

El sushi estaba muy bueno de verdad es muy bueno lo recomiendo. Pero el ambiente huele mucho a grasa, deben mejorar eso porq uno sale oliendo a fritura y no es agradable. Ojalá puedan mejorar eso porq de resto muy buen sushi

Sushi was very good! it is not traditional sushi in a sense since the portions are huge and are covered in different sauces but the flavor was pretty good. We tried the tostones appetizer which was the best imo, a fried roll and a simple roll, all were very good.

Walked by and saw a waiter carrying the giant roll with a heap of seaweed salad on it, had to try it. Didn't expect the roll to be hot (it was fried) but it was good with the salad. Too big for one bite. The sushi burger appetizers were yummy! My only issue is they should give guests plates to eat on. It was messy to eat over the paper setting.

Huge portions. The sushi rolls are BIG. This is the most important thing to know. Pictures don’t quite show it, the rolls are as thick as a bottle of beer. Have a look at my picture. Difficult to review this place, the staff are friendly and helpful. And the food is tasty if a little too much sauce on top. The confusion is over the portion size. They are giant sushi rolls which is their signature. This is good but then most people like to try lots of different types of sushi so the large potions prohibit how much you can try. They plate are more like main courses were you can only really eat 1 or 2 dishes in a sitting. Would be good for a large group where you can get lots of plays and try a bit of each. Don’t think we’ll go back as the giant sushi is not for us but we do not regret the visit.

It's a great place, don't expect the traditional sushi. It's a Latin Japanese fusion..however, paying 3 euros for a tiny bottle of water and one euro for a box to be able to take home the leftovers (portions are big) is not great at all. Also, you pay 10% more to eat outside. Just be careful with this.

Pese a no estar malo como tal, el sushi no me gustó. Ya había ido en un par de ocasiones hace años y me había gustado, pero al volver hace un par de semanas… me decepcioné. El sushi no tenía un sabor fresco y estaba bañado en un festín de salsas bastante saladas. Además la cuenta ascendió a casi 60€ para dos personas, habiendo pedido poco y nos pareció bastante caro para la calidad del producto. La verdad es que me supo a sushi de buffet por un precio elevado y sin rondas ilimitadas. El servicio, todo ha de decirse, fue muy atento y amable.

We ordered a couple of rolls and were disappointed with them. The rolls were large but it contained a very tiny amount of fish. Why be so stingy with the fish? Almost all the rolls had cream cheese in it which overtakes the flavors from the other ingredients. I did not like the warm rolls at all. They were deep fried and hard to chew. I felt like I was paying 14.5 Euros for each roll to pretty much eat a huge amount of rice. Service was very slow. The only roll that was decent and they didn't skimp on the fish was the matako. Would not recommend this place.

1 hour wait is never okay. 10% up charge to sit outside in the cold not okay. You know what was delicious? The sushi. I’d give it another shot. Or maybe I was just starved after an hour..

Pretty filling food, and for a reasonable price. I recommend it, but do not overhype it as they put lots of rice as filler and the other ingredients remain as small as in normal sushi. The bathroom needs serious improvements too.

Es la segunda vez que venimos a este restaurante, y aunque la comida sigue estando muy rica (los sushis tienen buen sabor, aunque esta vez nos parecieron más pequeños que en nuestra primera visita), la atención dejó bastante que desear. Teníamos reserva y todo fue bien al principio, pero al terminar de comer, mientras esperábamos que retiraran los platos para pedir el postre, la camarera se acercó directamente con la cuenta, diciéndonos que ya venía otra reserva y que por eso nos la dejaba. La verdad, nos pareció una falta de profesionalismo, sobre todo porque nuestra intención era quedarnos a pedir postre. Nos fuimos a otro sitio a comerlo, pero no era la idea. Uno espera poder disfrutar la experiencia completa en el mismo lugar. Una pena, porque la comida lo vale, pero el trato al cliente debería cuidarse mucho más.

El sabor del sushi está muy rico, la salsa y su combinación de texturas, pero la cantidad de salmón o pescado es nefasta, es increíblemente poca…. El sabor del salmón no se sentía. Solía ir mucho, la carta ha cambiado, la atención de las camareras fue un poco indiferente. Qué pena que sitios como este con el tiempo bajen en su calidad.

Este era el sitio favorito de mi madre e incluso fuimos para recomendarles el sitio a unos amigos. La atención siempre ha sido de 10 y se mantiene, pero en cuanto a la comida han bajado la calidad muchísimo, el salmón inexistente en el roll, siempre pido el mismo pero este tenia solo arroz (una cantidad exagerada) y aguacate con perfume de salmon. A mi chica que pidió un roll diferente le ocurrió lo mismo. Una pena, no creo que volvamos ha ir, hay sitios con los mismos precios y un mejor producto.

Me ha decepcionado este restaurante había leído reseñas y con todo y eso decidí experimentar efectivamente desde que entras al restaurante el olor a grasa fritura es increíble sales impregnado a fritura toda la ropa los roles muy grandes hay que cortarlos para comerlo y al cortarlos se rompen, la cantidad de salsas que le echan es excesiva, los baños totalmente sucios y con mal olor definitivamente no volvería es una lástima

Honestly I was expecting much more. First we called to book a table and they said they had outside but they never mentioned a terrace supplement even thought I know there usually is but a 10% supplement is insane. The food arrived and honestly was not a big portion of sushi as it used to be and the quality was low but the taste was not quite good. It was like too many flavors but didn’t really taste like sushi. Later the service of the waiter was absolutely terrible. She seems too unbothered to work and her attitude was under bare minimum. Honestly I would have not thought it was going to be so bad but after this experience I will not come back there nor recommend it to nobody.

If you want massively disgusting massive sushi, this is the place for you. This place is made to feed people who do not care about taste or quality of food but want large quantities. Plates of 8 rolls feed 2 normal people easily if you do not plan on throwing up after. Waitress was kind enough to recommend only taking 2 rolls for 2 people and service was kind and attentive. If you are keen on keeping your dignity during a meal, I would give it up upon entering the restaurant since the size of these bites (XXL as promised) is way beyond anyone can fit. If you like sushi, do not go there.
