I absolutely adored this place! The food was extremely delicious and the staff nice and polite. Before a storm came up, the beach was wonderful and regularily cleaned from seaweed. I was impressed by the coral reef and the rich underwater life. Way beyond my expectations. Would come here again any time!

Our 1st cruise was in February. We took a taxi to the Mayan ruins. Asked the driver to recommend a beach. He brought us here. We were very pleased. Beautiful. The shrimp ceveche was AMAZING. And the beers were cold.

Tequila Beach was one of my favorite parts of our cruise! We stopped in Cozumel for our first port. My husband and I, having never been on a cruise before, were totally lost. One of the workers directing taxis recommended Tequila Beach. She said that it wasn’t very well known and so it wouldn’t be very crowded. She was totally right! There were maybe 50 of us on the beach the day we were there. We paid $17 a piece and that included a chair, umbrella, and one free drink. Our waiter (Domingo, I think) was super friendly and helpful! We had an amazing, relaxing day. The beach was beautiful and clean! Would definitely recommend! Also, if you are cruising, it is an $8 taxi ride (per person) each way to and from the cruise port.

We came here on an excursion from our cruise ship and had a great time! Our server "Okie-Dokie" was amazing and really made the experience the best. He kept the drinks coming and even brought us floaters. He was great with the kids and kept them happy as well. When locals were selling ice cream to the kids, he even went out of his way to help them buy some with the language barrier. The drinks here were on the weak side (hence the floaters!) but the food was DELICIOUS! We had a combination ceviche with shrimp, fish, and octopus, guacamole, and the kids had a burger to split. It was so much food! Huge portions and great flavor. The beach was beautiful and you had snorkel equipment to rent right there on the beach. The water was shallow enough for adults to walk everywhere and protected by a rock wall so that the waves were not severe on the very windy days like we had. Overall a great place to relax at!

Muy buen lugar para disfrutar el día, tienen muy bien servicio, les hace falta música. Cómodas instalaciones, se disfruta el día tomando el sol y disfrutando del mar en el incomparable paraíso del Caribe mexicano. Recuerda pedir una cubeta con hielo para mantener tu cerveza bien fría.

This was a very good price, with the option of a drink package. My wife got a very good massage for an unheard of price back home, or on the boat for that matter. My only complaint is the constant badgering from folks wanting to sell you stuff. Yes l get it, everyone has to eat but l just think 20 folks all trying to sell you the same things at the same time along with the sales booths is a bit much

If you want to get drunk... all you can drink all day... really??? Their snorkel area isnt much. They spent most of the day raking seaweed... they stayed at it. Lots of peddlers selling cigars and necklaces... kinda kills the mood.... til yer drunk! Be sure not to go alone

I was here in April and going back at the end of August. Some of the bad reviews on here with pictures are not this place. It is a small place but that's what I loved about it. When we go back in August, it will be a weekend. I hope it's the same vibe.

Worth paying for the internet loungers, chairs and shade. Perfect beach setting. Slightly rocky beach shore which fades to just sand, no need for water shoes if you're careful. Pool available just behind shades. We were bitten by what looks like a recluse spider, not sure if from the shore or in the water, left bruising around the bite and no harm done otherwise. Definitely worth a visit.

When I went,if your not attended by a server you cannot get the internet access. Sitting on the beach is nice while you watch others snorkel, and kayak, and you can get a tan. If you get an excursion, then most of the time if the beach is part of it you will get free access to kayaking, and snorkeling gear, and an open bar and internet access while your there. Drinks are subpar because the open bar is only local brand liquor and taste is ew. So really not worth it unless you drink beer, because let's face it you can't really mess up beer. When you get there and actually sit on the beach there are people constantly trying to sell you goods, from purses to bags, and cigars to jewelery. Sometimes this can eat annoying when you want to sit by the water. This is the second time I come to this place and the first time was great about 8 years ago but this one, not so much with raised prices throughout the years and more of a rush to sell you things. Can never complain when your in the Caribbean, but this place is kind of artificial. A port intended for cruise ships. Aside from a few vendors there was little experience with authentic Mexican or Mayan culture.

Slight seaweed problem is what they told us...

The beach looked like it needed a major cleaning with all the seaweed washing ashore. Also too many vendors let people swim in peace!

We were here for five hours and not five minutes went by where we weren't harassed by vendors. Sometimes we'd be approached by three within a minute. The ground is also really rough underwater.

Bad experience overall. It has a smelly concrete dock right in the middle of the beach. Poor service and way overpriced cocktails (even more expensive than our cruise ship). Our waiter heckled us for tips. Not all inclusive at all. The taxi drivers get commission for bringing tourists here so watch out.

This is a complete waste of money. You pay $40 for transportation to and from the cruise terminal and all you can drink while you're there. You start to realise things were exagerated as soon as they drop you off in a mud pit in front of a derelict building. You walk through the filthy husk of a building containing only a stack of kayaks and an old pool table to get to the beach area. The first thing to the left on the other side of the building is a tiny trailer with a long line where they serve the drinks from. After waiting 45 minutes to get to the counter the guy mixing drinks tells us he's out of ice and that we need to walk down to the other bar area. After another 40 minutes waiting at the next bar counter to get a handful of tiny 6 oz plastic cups we can't find a place to sit. The beach area doesn't even have adequate seating for everyone they sold admission to. To top it off, the drinks didn't taste good. We decided not to risk ordering food seeming they wanted $10 for a taco plate and we didn't have any faith in the quality improving. Realizing it was a total loss we took the ride back and cut our losses.

Bottom line, don't rent jet skies here. We rented 3 jet skies at Tequila Beach Club back in December 2016. We made the reservation online and we were supposed to get our jet skies at 10:00 am. When we got to the place we had to wait two hours until we finnaly got our jet skies. They told us to wait in another area until the other people who rented before us arrived. The truth was that there were no other people renting. The Jet Skies were old and they were having mechanical issues with them. When we finnaly got our jet skies, they looked nothing like in the pictures online. They were very old and beaten, they didn't even had a cluster. Mine broke down in the middle of the water after twenty minutes and there was smoke coming from under the seat. I asked them for a full refund and they refused. We rented for an hour and they only gave me $30 back from the $79 we paid. The manager said that we rode it for 40 minutes which was a lie because half of those 40 minutes we had spent it floating in the water until they rescued us. It was a terrible experience. I don't recommend renting anything from them.
