Mammoth Tavern is a cozy spot with great cocktails and a lively atmosphere. Many rave about the food, especially the ribs, shepherd's pie, and appetizers like the homemade chips. Expect waits during peak hours and potential noise.

The atmosphere was so cozy and cute. We ordered the Asian style sticky ribs, Mac & cheese, cannelloni with meatballs, and French onion soup. The ribs were fantastic and so flavorful!! The rice that came with it was a bit over cooked but the ribs were the star of the show. The Mac & cheese was creamy and flavorful as well. The burger was very good! I would definitely come back.
Hands down the best place to eat or drink in Mammoth. Don't just stick to the village. The tavern is worth the trip. Everything on the menu is amazing. The cocktails are really creative, like from some big city fancy cocktail bar. And the view of the sherwins from the big upstairs windows can't be beat.
One of the best restaurants I've ever been to. The food is simply amazing, the atmosphere/ambiance is lovely, and the staff are very friendly. I did not expect the Shepard's Pie to taste so good, highly recommend. There isn't too much parking here, so most spots might be filled. The restaurant is on the 2nd floor, by the way.
Cruised in with some friends for dinner. Gotta say, everything was delicious. We ordered a couple appetizers, the home made chips were cooked perfectly. All our meals were cooked perfectly the ribs, burger and other stuff all looked delicious and the old fashions were made great. Thank you!
Totally recommend: - Peach and burrata - Short rib Grilled cheese - Dancing queen cocktail - Kentucky Mule drink Meh: - meatballs Jessie also was amazing!
Great spot for friends after a day on the slope.

We love this spot! Super cozy, amazing view of the valley and excellent food. I never thought to order oysters in a remote place like Mammoth but at the Tavern, they're excellent! Super fresh, excellent garnishes. And their French onion soup is amazing. Try to get a seat near the windows around sunset if you can - the view is unreal.
Great food, drinks and service. Casual and cozy vibe. The cocktails were great, pisco sour and old fashion were phenomenal. The roasted garlic app was great. We got the fried chicken sandwich and burger and both were amazing, although the garlic was the standout dish. No reservations (wait list only) so recommend getting there early.
My fiancé and I ordered the fondu and a meatball appetizer, and everything was excellent. The cheese was perfectly melty and smooth. The restaurant itself is a bit tight of a squeeze and extremely noisy with people screaming at the baseball game at the bar. The wait was approx 15 minutes, so not too bad. Overall would recommend!

Fish tacos and fries were good, but not remarkable. The rib grilled cheese was dry and flavor so so. French onion soup had very mixed reviews but my favorite soup so I ordered it but returned it was very bland and watery. Had a vodka cranberry and I drank it but do t think it was a good quality vodka and wasn’t very strong.
Love the cozy feel of this tavern! The food was okay, not amazing. The staff were very nice.
The Mammoth Tavern is a cozy little spot to grab some dinner in town. Do expect a line at peak times, and the wait can get long as they have something for the whole family. Good, no nonsense foods on this menu. Their caesar salad was absolutely delicious and would recommend for anyone. Otherwise the menu is nice and hardy. As they do get busy, so can the staff and would recommend sitting at the bar if its just you or for 2. Mammoth Tavern is worth a visit if you’re in town for some powder.
Great experience here on a busy holiday weekend. Prompt and super POLITE service. Great cocktails and good food. Order the potato chips and dip for starters, you won’t regret it. I had the shepherd’s pie and I was SUPER IMPRESSED. Veggies were fresh, the beef was well seasoned, and the crust was perfect.
Service was great! Not a huge restaurant, so be prepared to wait if you go at busy eating times. We ordered: Warm Bavarian Pretzels - $7 seemed high for two small pretzels. I was hoping for one large pretzel. Italian Meatballs - delicious Blackened Ahi Tuna - tasted cheap but yummy Brussel Sprouts - whatever sauce they put on the brussel sprouts is good, but there was way to much of it. That sauce is very flavorful and should be more of a drizzle over the brussel sprouts.

The servers are great but the food is just ok. Came here for happy hour twice, and the second time the portions were completely different. Also didn’t get any garlic aioli for my fries the second time I ordered the same thing. Ordered the artichoke dip and was completely let down. There were two of us and we couldn’t finish it. Incredibly dry. There were more breadcrumbs than actual dip to the point I couldn’t taste the dip. I tried taking off the breadcrumbs and there was still too much after I tried. Didn’t even taste cheesy if at all? Carb overload, especially with the pita chips on the side, made no sense. Half the dip were breadcrumbs. The meatballs were bigger and better the first time I ordered. The second time, the tomato sauce lacked flavor and was not shareable compared to the previous time. Overall the view and vibes are nice, but food is mediocre.
Decided to go for dinner based on reviews. It was very busy but we managed to get two seats at the bar. The bartenders were very attentive and nice. I had wine and my fiance had beer. We had the chips and dip for an appetizer. The chips are freshly made and very tasty. The onion dip was okay. It was a little bland and they do not serve it in proportion to the amount of chips received so we asked for more which they gave to us and at no charge! I had the Guerye fondue which was very good and filling. The menu recommends for 3 or more ppl so there is quite a bit of food. I also ordered it w steak. The steak was not very good. It was over cooked. My fiance had the steak and grilled cheese which he really liked. It came w a simple green salad. It was a perfect size for a quick and filling bite. The view from the restaurant were of the mountains in the distance. The place is a bit noisy so was a bit hard to have conversation. All in all I would recommend.
Expect a long wait list during rush hour. They will put your name on the list, but they won't call back so you kinda have to wait outside.... Drinks are good. Food is so so.
First things first, you have to drive to Mammoth Tavern to pick up your order and pay a $5.00 "To Go Fee" Not sure why but I was super thrown off by this. Plus I tried calling 15 times to place an order but never got through so I ended up driving there to place my order. The only thing the person said was we are slammed which is understandable so why not take a chance on online ordering? Anyways, the burger was really good but not for $18. I have had better. They offer delicious fries and a small dill pickle which was interesting. I ended up getting one for my wife as well. We got drinks to go which were fun but all in all I was just kind of shocked. Plus they don't hook you up with utensils or napkins and I had to ask for Ketchup. I understand this is Covid and we are all trying to do our best but I expect way more after dropping $70 for two people on a takeout dinner.
Absolutely obliterated a ceaser salad here after hiking in the off season. Food is quite pricey, similar to what you end up paying near the ski lifts. The bloke on aux had it down, but the food was kinda mid.

Place is charming but pretty quiet for Labor Day. Waitress was lovely and gave us tips on local sites. Tlt is on 2nd floor of a historically registered building so no ADA and stairs are steep.
Servers are rude. Receptionist is particularly rude and stuck-up. Clearly looking down on tourists while simultaneously unable to wean off of the teat of tourism. Food is mediocre at best, fast food tier that tries to look like it’s more than it really is.
