Best Thai food in the South Bay!!! The beef salad was do fresh and tasty, the beef was very tender and the dressing so tanguero and yummy, everyone should definitely try it. We also ordered the mint chicken and it was absolutely delicious accompanied with white rice. My new fav Thai place.
Let's start off with what we ordered. Garlic shrimp, Thai tea, dumplings, tofu fried rice, crab fried rice. Every thing and I mean everything was finger liking good 👍. The restaurant its self is charming and calm perfect for intimate conversations. Our server Sarah was amazing 5 stars just for her ❤ Thank you all for such a perfect night out with my friend. I will be recommending to everyone.
Really great thia food, We had the spring roll appetizer that was very fresh. The curry was excellent and we had the pad thai, the spicy eggplant, and they were really great too. Service was super too. They have outdoor seating with heaters that was nice too.
We ordered several appetizers including the potstickers and a satay chicken very good, For dinner I had the garlic pepper fish. It was absolutely delicious. Great service. Will definitely go back.
This restaurant blew us away! The food was incredible, portions were large, and the atmosphere was lovely. We had the pineapple fried rice and a noodle dish and both were some of the best Thai food we’ve ever had. Highly recommend!
Had lunch here once. We ordered a few dishes. Nothing short of amazing food. Portions were very good. Vegetables very fresh. Service was friendly and quick. Reasonably priced. Lots of parking onsite.
The BEST Thai food hands down anywhere! It was my favorite place before relocating to the Midwest in 2001 and I was beyond happy to return home in 2018 and find the same Owner and great food was still there! I spent 18 years trying to find a Thai restaurant in the midwest that even came close, unfortunately I never did. My favorite dish/appetizer is Mi Krop and everything else on the menu is a close second. I go there multiple times a month and the consistancy of quality and service is amazing. My rating is 5 stars on steroids for this restaurant!
Love their food! Stopped in for in-person dining for the first time since covid (we've only done takeout since); outdoor seating available; lunch menu is shorter than it used to be, but still a decent variety and it comes with salad. I do miss the lunch specials that used to come with soup or salad and the small appetizer. I ordered the pad see eww (flat noodles) and was able to change the protein to that of my choice (shrimp); the hubby tried the roasted duck and loved it.
Great customer service, all the hosts and waitresses were nice and friendly. Attentive but not overwhelming. The food was sooo delicious we had sea food pad thai and chicken satay, very nice portions enough to share. I also love the decor throughout the place and attention to detail from food presentation, decor and even the candies that give with your bill. Would totally recommend it!
Came for dinner a few nights ago, place was busy. We were seated right away. Service was good food was excellent. Would totally recommend to anyone who love Thai food.
Was the best yellow curry I have eaten. Great service, too. I highly recommend it.
Great food, not sure how authentic cause I don't have a healthy gauge but the green curry and the orange chicken were delicious. It's more romantic environment, had toake up for the last date at an oil change place. A bit pricey but an awesome experience. Staff takes great care of you as well.
Nice atmosphere, great food with generous portion size. Even though it was early evening, service was inconsistent. They were more focused and very busy with pick up/delivery orders
Usually this place is 3-4 star for me personally because my family keeps it pretty calm, same old - same old, pretty basic. But it's got a very nice atmosphere and everyone in our party likes all that we order therefore we wind up going often when I come to town. Last time we went we stepped out a bit: ordered all three curry dishes. This was great, really great, what a departure from what we usually get. I wanna go back again soon. Try whichever soup is coconut based too
Omg We really enjoyed the food here, especially the lunch street Thai special 😋
Some of the best Thai food I’ve ever had - this is our South Bay hidden gem! Lots of vegetarian options, all curries are great, friendly staff, and the outdoor patio is nice.
We ordered take out...some classic dishes, green curry w/beef, cashew nut chicken, duck & very authentic egg rolls!! Everything was super fresh, tasty & cooked to perfection. The bok choy that came with the duck was crispy & def not over cooked like you often find with take out. Will definitely be going back for more! Like their family @ the 5th St location in Santa Monica.
Always do Togo perfect every time. Yellow curry is my favorite but the menu is so amazing you can get something new every time!
I am a huge fan of Thai cuisine. They had the best pad Thai I have ever had!! The drunken noodles was not flavorful as I was hoping. But the pad Thai was perfect! Highly recommend.
We were a party of eleven and want to say the entire experience was great…right from making reservations, parking, service, a good menu and most importantly, a very flavorful meal. The staff was courteous and got all our meal customizations right. We stayed past their closing hour and the staff didn’t nudge us to leave and bid adieu with smiles.
The restaurant was busy. Not enough space to walk thru the isles seats. Service was slow because of the business and I’m not sure if they have enough servers. One lady seemed to be assisting multiple tables by herself. The food is great.. from appetizer to soup and entree. Fair pricing for the food!
We LOVE this restaurant! They have really tasty food, great service and very nice atmosphere. Our favorite dishes are Pad Thai Noodle with shrimp and Herbal Fish Salad. Our picky-eater son used to order Rad Na Noodle with chicken but tonight he decided to try Pad See You Noodle with Pork and he loved it! If you are looking for a good Thai Restaurant in the South Bay Area, we would highly recommend this place. You won’t be disappointed.
Best Thai food in the area!!! First, Food. In the three or so years that I've been eating at Thai Dishes, the food has never ceased to disappoint! Their food is very flavourful, and one doesn't have to worry about their food being to spicy. They also have a larger menu than other places in the area (I think :) ), but still all of the food I've had there has been quite good. I would highly recommend their Thai BBQ Chicken and their curries. The information above also is in regards to takeout/delivery. Next, ambiance. Thai Dishes is right off PCH, And gets a fair bit of traffic, but I don't think I've ever had a wait to eat there. Inside, the place is intimate, mostly made of wood. I've never eaten in the outside patio, but I think it would be quite nice. The place has lots of seating and can accommodate a large party (probably split up between multiple tables) if necessary. I love the general vibe of the place, while being quiet it's not drained of life. it is important to have good atmosphere as well as food, and Thai Dishes aces both.
A special thank you to Thai Dishes! 😂 My father and I used to go far away Hollywood for authentic Thai cuisine that no longer exists! However much victory to Thai Dishes...who is the chef? Smile And staff service attentive and friendly! How nice the ambiance well lit modern design! Enjoy the amazing coconut soup! Please don't forget to get a lucky cup (🍶 sake) I should have had two! Lol The only question I do have regarding pineapple rice. Are there any Thai restaurants that make it with the actual pineapple as presentation anymore? Nichelle.
Best Thai food in the South Bay! Highly recommend their Green Curry, Wonton Soup, Mango Sticky Rice! But everything is amazing.
Top notch customer service. The man who owns it is super friendly and always stops by to say hello! The food is always great!!! He has a second cook helping his wife now (she made the pad Thai a little to sweet but it was still good)… the yellow curry, green curry and pineapple rice were absolutely perfect 😍
What an outstanding Thai restaurant!! This quaint and DELICIOUS restaurant is a MUST if you like Thai cuisine. I had the best green curry of my life here along with spring rolls, pad thai, and a healthy friend rice that knocked our socks off!! We sat on a heated back patio that was comfortable and perfect for our small group. We will definitely come back again and again. Thank you Thai Dishes!!
Restaurant is absolutely wonderful! My sweetie took me there for my birthday and we both enjoyed the food, service, and atmosphere. Yes, it’s a bit small inside but it does not take away from still worth it.
I went a couple days ago to Thai dishes in Manhattan Beach the food is excellent. The service is very good this time.
Very unassuming from the outside. Nice inside, staff super friendly and the food is actually the best we have eaten, and we've been to Thailand.........
My family ate inside the restaurant and ordered pad thai. The portion sizes were huge and it tasted authentic and fresh ingredients. Very beautiful ambiance and friendly kind staff. I highly recommend.
This was the best Thai food and service. The place is so relaxing with plants and Thai decor. The food is incredible, if you are Thai or a Thai food lover such as I, visit and eat here, I dont believe you'll be disappointed. See my pic!! Btw, I had pork with vegetables and the basil*****OMG, so good. The pork was crispy NOT greasy, I ate every bite:-)
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ If I could give more stars, I would! My experience at Thai Dishes was already amazing thanks to the food—but what made it truly unforgettable was our server, my absolute waiter homie. From the second we sat down, he brought the energy: super friendly, fast, and genuinely cool. he made the whole experience feel personal, like we were longtime friends just vibing over pad thai and Thai tea. He checked in at all the right times without hovering, had great recommendations , and handled everything with total chill and confidence. You can tell he actually cares about people, not just the job. 10/10 service, 100/10 attitude. Give that man a raise, a medal, and a lifetime supply of curry. Thai Dishes, y’all are lucky to have him—he’s the real MVP!
Wow! I’ve never had such a great (yet simple) pad see ew in forever!! Totally recommend the pad see ew and probably the pad thai is good. Their portions are HUGE for $13.50 My husband got the bbq roasted duck lunch dish. If you are good with authentic flavors and spices, we recommend. If you do not like asian spices and flavors you can probably skip that.
Had the steamed dumplings and Khao Soi with a Thai iced tea. It was hot and delicious! If I'm back in LA I'll definitely order from here again!
I’ve been ordering from this place for years and it’s always consistent and great quality. My family and I really enjoy.
Favorite Thai restaurant hands down! Not only is their food delicious, especially the curry, but the customer service is wonderful as well! Gin was my waitress and she did a fabulous job checking in and making sure everything was to my satisfaction. Giving them a 5 stars and would definitely recommend this place to anyone looking for a great meal.
Such a great find! We came for lunch and the place was pleasantly packed — always a good sign. The service was warm, the portions were generous, and everything we ordered came out fresh, hot, and full of flavor. The crispy pork dish was a standout — perfectly cooked with just the right amount of spice and crunch. The Thai iced tea with crystal boba was delicious and not too sweet, and the Tom Yum noodle soup with chicken? Bright, comforting, and just the right level of heat. Exactly what you’d hope for from a classic. Even the little side salad was crisp and well-dressed — no soggy fillers here. This is the kind of place that gets the classics right and still manages to surprise you. You can tell they’ve been loved by locals for years. I’ll definitely be back.
Everything tasted amazing! I got the Tom yum seafood and it tasted just like the one back home in Amarillo Texas where I would get mine all the time . The chicken was tender and the Thai tea was flavorful. Definitely recommend and will be back !
Recommeded place to visit. I had Pad Kee Mow for lunch special came with a side salad. The taste was good and generous amount of protein. 2nd visit. I had lunch with my wife and she enjoyed her shrimp green curry and I had the Pad Thai. These two dishes were very well prepaired exciting your taste buds. I look for the 5 elements that are spicy, sweet, salty, sour and creamy in thai cooking. I am please to report there are present at Thai Dishes.
The food was incredible and big portions. I followed the recommendation of chicken with pumpkin curry , and I did the right choice! Great atmosphere and service very nice . Not too big , what makes the space very cosy . We recommend it !
Love going to this Thai restaurant. Great location with private free parking lot. Staff is very friendly and welcoming. Nice indoor atmosphere. There's also an outdoor patio. Food is very tasty and portions are more than adequate.
First time here dining in and it was tasty. I had the beef pad see ew and chicken satay with the Thai ice tea. They also have lunch specials when dining in. Establishment is clean and staff is friendly and helpful.
This is a wonderful small neighbor restaurant. The plants are so beautiful which make this restaurant relaxing. I had the Pad Kee Mow Chicken. Yes this a spicy dish. I came for lunch and they have a wonderful lunch special. The lunch special has several delicious dishes to selecte from. This is a great place to watch a game, enjoy the delicious food and drinks. There is also a nice patio if you would like to enjoy the outdoors. My food was prepared fast and hot! It's a lot of food, so prepare to take home food. Be sure to collect reward points on every purchase, at every visit.
It's a nice place, great for a date night. Delicious cuisine, good atmosphere, fast and pleasant service. We come here once a month. I have tried many things, the last time it was a traditional Thai soup. It was very delicious.
Satisfied my craving for great noodles. I’m so happy I found this gem! It’s a cute little Thai place that has a ton of different options. I wanted noodles and veggies so I ordered the beef chow mien which was a large portion and had the perfect noodle to veggie ratio. I usually have to pour soy sauce on my dishes but this was so flavorful I didn’t need to. They also have happy hour from 5-7 Monday through Thursday. The menu prices are also very reasonable and the service is quick. Definitely coming back soon!
Love this place! Went here for the first time tonight and ordered the chicken Penang curry and it was spectacular!

Tasty Thai selections, perfect portions, atmosphere great!
I came here for dinner with friends and everything was delicious. We ordered the egg rolls, Papaya Salad (Som Tam), Coconut Noodle Soup (Tom Kha) with veggies and egg noodles, and the Spicy & Sour Noodle Soup (Tom Yum) with shrimp and flat noodles. Every dish was flavorful and fresh, and the service was fast. I would definitely come back again!
I stayed in Manhattan Beach for 3 nights and 2 of those nights I ate here. The staff are super friendly and the food is amazing. I ordered the Red Curry on one evening and the Penang Curry for the second evening. Both were super tasty and despire being called curries were not spicy at all. Make sure you order the Sticky rice and Mango for desserts. Soooo good. Highly recommend eating here.

I had been here a few times before and the food is always pretty good. Everything is a la carte and you can feed about 2-3 people from each dish. The Thai iced tea is the best. Service was great, atmosphere is nice. Be prepared to take home doggy bags.
Soft. Shell. Crab. YUM! This is an awesome little restaurant right off the main drag. The interior is fairly quiet, dim at night, with very friendly and very attentive wait staff! The food is super tasty, with a broad selection to satisfy your taste buds. They're also great with take out, which makes it nice if you're looking to eat on your couch instead of in the restaurant! If you like Thai food and you're in Manhattan Beach, Thai Dishes is the place to go!
Good Thai restaurant. Definitely a higher quality of food and service than most Thai restaurants. This restaurant is good for groups, dates, and special occasions. The ambience is warm, refined, nicely bordering romantic, and cozy. The food here is really good. My favorite is Rice by Mama in Ventura but Thai Dishes is right up there.
The go-to for takeout. I always get the chicken coconut soup (as authentic as any I’ve had in Thailand) and shrimp Pad Thai with yellow curry! Great staff, super clean and food is prepared very quickly.
I was only able to dine in once. But the Pineapple Fired Rice I ordered was delicious! It does have raisins, but I was very pleasantly surprised with the flavor it added to the dish.
Soup was amazing , however the mixed vegetables with pork flavour was blend . The fresh spring rolls just come with tofu option . Excellent service and atmosphere
Thai Dishes in Manhattan Beach is hands down one of the best Thai restaurants in the South Bay area! They use traditional cooking methods to create classic Thai dishes with authentic, bold flavors that truly transport you to Thailand. Some of our favorite dishes are the Pad See Ew, Pad Thai, and both the yellow and green curries—each one perfectly cooked and bursting with flavor. During lunch, they offer a fantastic lunch special for just $15 per dish, making it a great value for such high-quality food. The Pad Thai stood out with its balance of distinctive Thai vinaigrette and a hint of sweetness, perfectly capturing the essence of the dish. To wrap up the meal, we indulged in their sweet rice mango dessert, which was exceptional. The sticky rice had a wonderfully firm texture, pairing beautifully with the sweet, ripe mango. Service was excellent—attentive, friendly, and fast. Parking was a breeze with a convenient lot located right next to the restaurant. If you’re in the South Bay and craving authentic Thai cuisine, Thai Dishes is a must-visit!
Thai Dishes in Manhattan Beach is a hidden gem for anyone craving authentic Thai cuisine! The moment you walk in, you’re welcomed by a warm atmosphere and the enticing aromas of freshly prepared dishes. I ordered the pad thai and the green curry, and both were exceptional! The pad thai was perfectly balanced with just the right amount of sweetness and spice, while the green curry was rich, creamy, and packed with fresh veggies. The staff was friendly and attentive, making sure we had everything we needed. The menu offers a wide variety of options, so there’s something for everyone. If you’re in Manhattan Beach and looking for delicious Thai food, I highly recommend checking out Thai Dishes! I can’t wait to return and try more of their amazing offerings!
Food was okay standard not the best but definitely eatable. The pad see ew with beef, beef was very tough hard to bite into small pieces. Shrimp fry rice little more soy sauce or flavor needed and the egg rolls left you with a funny after taste. The staff was very friendly and sat us down right away. Overall, the food was okay, I would come back but, I would order pad see ew with chicken.
Imagine walking thru time square on a busy night, that’s what it feels like once you enter the doors here. They need to figure out a place to put all of these people waiting for the take out orders. Overall the food is great and menu is well put together, they need to rearrange the restaurant to make a more spacious atmosphere..

Nice location and great ambiance. It's the kind of place you could go to for a date night. The restaurant has it's own parking lot so parking is pain free. The entry way is too small and I was briefly waiting in an extremely crowded area with a bunch of people waiting on take out. Service was strangely impersonal which surprised me given that the place looked like fine dining. Got the chicken satay and pad thai. The chicken satay was pretty good with 4 large skewers of chicken. The pad thai was plain bad, too sweet and the noodles were thick and saucy. They put this in a bowl like serving dish which caused the noodles to get all mashed up. Portion sizes were large and prices were okay. If great ambiance and mediocre food is your thing this place is worth a visit.
Great service. I got Tom Kha soup and I think they forgot to put sugar in it, tasted like sour water. Also got Yellow Curry, was decent, not the best I’ve had but still worth eating.
3/5, (recommendation at bottom) everything that I tried besides the pad Thai and the pad see ew was mediocre. Also took a star off because of the fake fancy atmosphere, they should just focus on the food taste/ingredients and keep everything else simple. If you are going to go, get the pad Thai but if you have the choice there is another Thai restaurant in the area called Nawa Thai that is cheaper, has better service and atmosphere, and makes better food.

I have always enjoyed Thai Dishes in person. Tonight I ordered chicken pad Thai for pick up and was sorely disappointed. There was maybe 1-2 ounces of chicken in the entire dish. Not enough protein for the price. I’ve never experienced this at the restaurant. I recommend dining in person but I cannot recommend takeout.
Basically I love Thai food a lot . This is the first time I got disappointed a bit. We ordered starters like egg roll which is not well cooked but pot stickers are nice. I have also ordered pineapple curry but it was not worth at all and they replaced the dish when I expressed my concern about the dish. I asked for cashew nut chicken and it was not good as well. Except starters main dishes are not as expected. Customer service is excellent they should improve the food quality.
I ordered the grilled pepper fish and while the flavor was great, there was barely any fish in it. It was 90% batter. Definitely don't order that. Stick with the curry instead. However, the atmosphere was nice, albeit a bit too dark during dinner.
71.50 before tip 1.Ribs-no sides 2. Curry-rice not included-I hate when they make you pay extra for rice! 3. Papaya salad 4.Rice- because it is extra 5. One reg iced tea And it was 71.50!!!! That’s not with tip My husband who got the ribs with no sides, oh it comes with a side of sriracha..lol got home and ate a bowl of cereal. Never again. Drive a mile inland and pay 1/3 the price
We ordered from here based on the ratings. My pad kee mao was inedible- I had asked for spicy but that doesn’t mean you overload it with raw red Thai chilies. We called and complained and they were kind enough to offer to remake it (and hence the higher rating for service). However, we learnt in the call that the pad kee mao actually contained Oyster sauce (it’s not vegan). This was disappointing. Anyway I asked for the vegan version of pad kee mao, and I was given oily, flavorless noodles (with raw red chilli again). Guess the chef needs to be trained on cooking and flavor. If you are vegetarian or vegan- Beware. They add oyster sauce for flavor, and if u ask them to leave it out, u will be served flavorless food.
Horrible customer service... What bother me most is how they treat drivers picking up orders i have order sooo many times here through apps and never imagine how bad and mistreated where the drivers here specifically from the "servers" from the front desk ... Everyone here need customer service certification ... 0 will never come back again and will let everyone know the lack of customer service your servers have
I used to love this place. I've brought so many people here before pandemic. Today was terrible.I asked for mild. Got home with extra spicy plate!! The rest of the order seems fine but, what a waste of time and money. Today, the person that took my order seemed irritated the moment I walked in. I had my mask on and even used their provided sanitizer outside their front door. Not sure why today was such a nasty experience. So much for supporting this restaurant. Update: Came back this weekend for lunch on patio. Service was back to normal, very friendly and food was excellent. They made sure food was safe from my allergies and my plate was mild as requested. Nothing was spicy and eveything was flavorful. Tables were far apart, sanitizer at entrance. Good precautions. Thank you to the professional staff on Sunday. ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐
The food here is tasty but the service is not good, it happened multiple times that they make a mistake and say it's just how we do it instead of saying sorry. Last time we went they made 2 mistakes, one, my husband ordered soup and they got a big one for the table, he said he wanted the individual size, instead of saying there was a misunderstanding on both sides, the waitress just said next time remember to say "individual" or this is what you'll get because it's our standard size. Fine there was a misunderstanding but then they give us our vegetarian fried rice and it has chicken in it, there's no sorry at all, she just took it and got another one, should we just be happy that they at least did that?? There are a ton of Thai restaurants everywhere with better and nicer people, don't know what there problem is to say a sorry.
I was passing by and looked for thai food. I found this place appealing. Stopped and went inside to place my favorite dish. It was my first time there. Food that people eating in was beautiful and looked delicious. So I ordered my red curry dish for to go. First they say 25 minutes wait I agreed but after 30 minutes I went inside to pickup. They said 10 more minutes. So I got my food in a bag , later I was going to eat in my car , got disappointed because there was no spoon or fork or chopstick and no napkins. Went back and got those. Food quality is great but services is not.
Not for vegetarians! Ordered a veggie stir fry without oyster sauce but the waitress did not tell me that meant a very expensive. bowl of bland, unseasoned, sauceless, and almost raw bok choy, cabbage, broccoli and broccoli stems. An extremely expensive mistake.
The food is usually good here. Been there several times. Totally different experience with the family yesterday 08/03/2025. Maybe because it was near closing time, Our orders were of very poor quality. Mushy crab? fried rice with a burnt deep fried egg??? The other dishes were subpar compared to previous times. Please respect people who come in and spend their money and please serve fresh food. 2/10 yesterday. Wasted $120. No tip of course. Very bad experience.
I ordered the pad see ew for $16.50, plus an extra $2.00 for beef. Unfortunately, the beef was overcooked and rubbery, and the dish was overly sweet. It was a disappointing experience overall. I wouldn’t recommend this spot for Thai food, it’s overpriced and the quality doesn’t even match fast food standards. It feels like they’re charging premium prices simply because it’s located in Manhattan Beach. If you're craving Thai, Pacific Rim Thai in Lawndale is a much better option, and it’s only a five-minute drive away.
