Always a treat to eat here. Food is consistently good for the price. A nice quiet space to relax.
Came to celebrate a birthday and the food was amazing! The braised lamb shanks were fall off the bone deliciousness and you have to try to the baklava ice cream!! Highly recommend!!
Been wanting to come to this little hole in the wall for the last 10 years. Great value and wonderful environment. It was busy but not very loud. Definitely not like you would experience at a traditional Asian restaurant on a Friday night. Maybe there was something about the acoustics that made the sound not bounce off of every wall, making it difficult to talk my hot date sweetie pie. We weren't crowded in, nor did we have to wait long for a meal on a late Friday night. The restaurant was about 75% full, and we received all our food very quickly. It was tasty and hot, like my date. The cheese rolls were cooked with grease at the right temperature (You can tell by the consistency and the amount of substance oil in the food.) The Tom kha soup was perfect just like my girl. Service staff diligently worked to ensure we were having a good experience. This is a really nice family-friendly restaurant. All in all, we paid less than $60 for three entrees, two appetizers, and one soft drink. Very affordable! I may scored a second date thanks to Ginger and Spice!
This was my 3rd time here! I got the Yellow Curry Chicken last time and Red Curry Chicken this time. Both are very delicious, but I prefer the Yellow more! Got an egg roll appetizer that came with enough sauce for all 4 rolls and they were so tasty! The prices are very reasonable and the service is great! Good atmosphere and they have a plenty of tables that included a table large enough for a group of 10-12. The Thai tea was amazing and very quenching! Definitely will return the next time I'm in town!
Ginger and Spice is the best restaurant in Marble Falls and I will DIE on this hill!!!! I wish they would bring back there lunch buffet that shut down during covid though. Either way this Thai food is super authentic and amazing and very affordable the sushi gets delivered fresh from Austin and is always too knotch.
I was craving pad Thai, so I stopped here on my way through town (I live 30 minutes away). It's a small restaurant, but was fairly busy on a Saturday night. I got a to-go order. I ordered the chicken satay and chicken pad Thai. When I got home, I wasn't feeling well and waited a while to eat. I was pleasantly surprised that the pad Thai was wrapped in foil and was still STEAMING hot 2 hours later! I really liked that the noodles were cut smaller, too. The slice of lime and the sprouts were outside of the foil which kept them from getting soggy. I ordered extra peanuts, but don't think I got those. The satay was good, but the chicken pieces were a little small. There were 5 skewers in the order (I had eaten 2 when I thought to take a photo). The peanut sauce that came with them was really good, though. I would definitely go back to this place.
I wish I could leave 5 stars, but I had to settle for 4 instead. The food was pretty good overall. Everyone in our group especially liked the sushi, but the sesame chicken plate was just kind of average at best, and that's being somewhat generous. It wasn't bad, but it wasn't really all that good, either. The waitress was attentive and sweet, so that's a win. I'd definitely go back for the sushi the next time I'm in the area.
Very nice lunch at Ginger & Spice and loved how management made sure my daughter’s meal was gluten free! We ordered the Spring Rolls, Taste of Ginger, and Basil Fried Rice (gluten free). Spring Rolls were fresh and tasty with an excellent peanut sauce for dipping. Both main dishes were very good and plentiful for a lunch meal…we enjoyed every bite! Good food and wonderful service!
This menu is robust! Lots of selections. I tried the spiciest curry and it was great but not as spicy as I expected, and I've had extremely spicy dishes before. The sake was twice as much as what you would pay elsewhere, but I suppose that's the norm. Aside from that, it was a nice restaurant to try. I ordered takeout because it was right before they were closing.
Came here for the Sushi and the short answer is it is okay. It's a small little restaurant and you would definitely miss if you weren't looking for it. But easy parking and we didn't need to make reservations. We were seated right away and our server took our drink order. Instead of a traditional sushi restaurant, their focus seems to be more on Thai food. To just try the basics, we ordered a seaweed salad, some nigiri sushi and a roll. The timing wasn't the best. The seaweed salad didn't come out until well after the sushi was brought to the table. Pretty standard for a seaweed salad although could have used some sesame seeds. I think they might have, but so sparse you can barely tell. We ordered Tuna, Yellowtail and Salmon for the nigiri; unfortunately, they were out of Yellowtail. The tuna was just average and nothing special. The salmon seemed almost partially frozen. It wasn't... but was super cold/chilled as if it had just thawed out. It was fair salmon. For the roll, we got the Philadelphia Roll; they put tuna along with salmon in theirs and we asked to hold the tuna which they did. The rolls seemed to be overwhelmed with cream cheese so it was hard to taste the quality of the salmon but it seemed to be the same quality of the salmon nigiri we ate. For sushi, it's pretty average. There are some incredible sushi restaurants in Austin and even a few above average in Bee Cave so we were hoping we were going to get lucky but this sushi was just average. We will of course go back to try the Thai food at some point but not sure about going back here for the sushi.
My husband and I absolutely love Thai food so we decided to give Ginger and Spice a try. The curry was decent and the sushi was mediocre. The restaurant could use a good cleaning. There was visible dust on all wall hangings and floors were not very clean. We arrived right as they opened, so no excuses for the floors. Makes you wonder what the kitchen looks like!! If you can handle the dust, I would suggest giving it a try.
The service here is great, but the food is just fine. We didn't order any sushi, so I can't speak to that portion of the menu. I got the Taste of Ginger with chicken and pork (the chicken was good, pork was a bit tough). It was gingery, but didn't really wow me. My partner got the charcoal pork, which was good, but the dish overall was plain- just the pork over vermicelli with a wedge of lettuce with a side of sweet and sour sauce. We also got the Shrimp in the Blanket, which was just a shrimp wrapped in a wonton wrapper and fried-- no ground pork as the description suggests. The shrimp was good, but did wonder where the pork went.
I don't know what happened to this place, but it has gone horribly downhill. Have been eating here for years, service was always good and food was great, but not anymore. Went in on a Tuesday night with my wife and 2 friends. After being seated we waited for 10 minutes for a young rude waitress, who acted like it was a chore to do her job, to take our drink order. Another 10 minute wait for drinks that get dropped off and we end up with a dirty glass. Had to wait many more minutes before the waitress finally returned to get that straightened out and we still had to request to be able to make our food order. 3 of us ordered sushi, my wife ordered a noodle dish. 20 more minutes go by, our drinks are finished and we have to chase the waitress down to get another round and some waters. After 45 minutes they bring my wife's noodle dish, which was cold, but nothing else. After another half hour, with no one checking on our table, we have finally had enough. My friend goes up to the counter and is told they are still preppinng the rest of the food. No apology, no offer to make things better. My wife is finished with her dish by now and we decide to leave. I go up to the counter to tell them we are leaving...again no apology for the wait that has been almost 2 hours at this point, and no offer to make up for the lack of service or food. In fact they were rude and dismissive when I told them I'd been a loyal customer for many years and was very disappointed. To top it all off, a couple hours after we get home, my wife gets extremely ill...I won't go into details. The "service" was by a young rude obviously unwilling worker, the place was dirty, with several tables not wiped or clean, what food we got was served cold and likely made my wife sick, and no apology for the wait or lack of food when we made a legit complaint after 2 hours of wait time. Will not be eating here again, and am considering making a health department complaint.
