I loved everything about our dinner at The Oyster Society. From the moment we walked in, it felt like stepping straight into a 1920s speakeasy, all romance, glamour, and a little bit of delicious mischief. The space is drenched in a moody elegance of plush seating, dark woods, vintage details, and a glow that feels intimate and cinematic, like a scene pulled from The Great Gatsby. The service matches the setting; Mattew was attentive, polished, and effortlessly smooth. He moved through the room with confidence and charm, striking that perfect balance of being present without hovering, making the entire experience feel elevated and indulgent. And the jazz - low, soulful, and seductive, it drifts through the room, wrapping everything in old world romance. It’s the kind of music meant for stolen glances, conspiratorial whispers, and knowing smiles shared across the table. It fuels the appetite, making everything on the menu feel impossible to resist. We devoured the Lobster Monte Cristo, Potato encrusted grouper, the Society Scampi, and the world famous carrot cake. Everything was absolutely delicious! The Oyster Society isn’t just a restaurant - it’s an experience. Romantic, glamorous, and unapologetically indulgent, it’s a place to dress up, slow down, and savor every moment. It was our first visit to The Oyster Society, and it absolutely won’t be our last.
Delightful birthday celebration! Service was attentive and the food was delicious! We especially enjoyed the large variety of both East Coast and West Coast fresh oysters on the half shell. The oysters were meaty and briney and sweet and fabulous. Sure they were a tad expensive but well worth it and will definitely order again. The shrimp cocktail had three huge shrimp included that were sweet and succulent. The lobster Montecristo sandwich was a small bite, but it was the perfect accompaniment to the oysters. And of course, I have to mention the light and airy chocolate mousse cake that they brought to celebrate the birthday! Only drawback was that it was a bit loud, but it certainly looks like everyone in the restaurant was enjoying their food and having a great time.
The food was absolutely incredible, from the fresh oysters to the perfectly cooked seafood dishes. You can really taste the quality and care that goes into everything. The atmosphere was just as great — classy but relaxed, with live music that made the night feel special. It’s the kind of place where you can enjoy a nice dinner but still feel comfortable and have fun. Service was fantastic too — super friendly and on point. If you’re on Marco Island, do yourself a favor and make a reservation here. The Oyster Society is definitely a 5-star experience all around!
Had an amazing 30th Anniversary dinner in October 2024 so we had to come back this October 2025 for our 31st. The food is superb, service is great, a very friendly and comfortable atmosphere. We highly recommend The Oyster Society. Enjoyed our dinner so much we ended coming back the following night. Already can’t wait for next year. We would recommend making reservations.
We had the most wonderful experience tonight. Unbeknownst to the restaurant we celebrated our 34th wedding anniversary here. We started with a wonderfully prepared Belvedere filthy martini and oysters from the East/West Coast. This was followed by an entrée of Surf and Turf. OMG! This was the most beautifully prepared butter poached lobster and perfectly tempered medium rare filet I have ever had. Topping off everything our server Milor brought us a desert to throw the experience over the top, it was a chocolate and Nutella concoction they write stories about. I cannot highly recommend this restaurant any more than giving it a million stars. The price range is not at the lower end, but all things considering, bit was worth every p we penny and minute spent. Bon Appetite!
ABSOLUTELY INCREDIBLE — RUN, DON’T WALK! The Oyster Society delivered one of the best dining experiences I’ve ever had. We kicked things off with a dozen oysters, half East Coast, half West Coast, and the West Coast oysters were truly top-tier. The she-crab soup was on another level: rich, creamy, and bursting with flavor in a way that’s almost impossible to describe. Every seafood dish that followed was cooked and seasoned perfectly, plated with care, and tasted even better than it looked. We finished with lobster tails and the Society Scampi, and not a single bite disappointed. Five stars all the way…this place is a MUST.
We were two couples having dinner on the outside patio while on vacation on Marco Island. We are staying at the Marriott Hotel only .5 mile down the road. The night is beautiful and so is the ambience here on the patio. Jeffrey is our wonderful waiter who attended to all our needs. The bread board is gratis which offers corn bread and crusty rolls. We all ordered fresh fish entrees which were generous portions I had the red snapper and separately ordered two sides - the roasted potatoes and broccolini. These are meant to be shared. Paul enjoyed his scallops over a black spaghetti. It had a heavy sauce on it. We did have a luscious key lime pie dessert which actually was in the shape of a cup. The cappuccino was delicious. The Oyster Society is a top restaurant in the area and remains so because of their quality food, service and ambience.
There was not one bad thing we ordered. The lobster Monte Cristo*** 100/10 to die for !!! Also Mattew or Matteo not sure how to spell his name but he was also amazing, all of recommendations were 100/10 & his passion for the restaurant you can feel it. Nothing better than loving hospitality 💫
From the moment we walked in we were met with impeccable service, restaurant design and unforgettable food. Each dish was full of varying flavor profiles and left everyone I was with in awe. I couldn't recommend this restaurant enough, one of the best places I have ever eaten at. I look forward to going back again.
Our experience at The Oyster Society was excellent! The food was great, the seafood was fresh and the service was amazing. The atmosphere is a really neat setting with indoor and outdoor seating. We were fortunate enough to get the booth in their beautiful wine room which was very quiet and intimate. The bar has a great selection of bourbon and whiskeys along with other liquor, wine and beer. The oysters were absolutely spot on as was all of their food. Our server was very attentive, very helpful and made sure we were always satisfied and did not need anything else. If anybody visits Marco Island, I would definitely recommend the Oyster Society.
What a fabulous night! The band was perfect! A jazz quartet played so many of our favorites. We started out with craft cocktails while we waited for our table. Once we were seated we ordered a bottle of red wine, some fresh oysters and the she crab soup. I had the seared scallops appetizer as my main, and my husband had the octopus. Our friend had the red snapper. We finished up with key lime pie. The evening was absolutely perfect! Great service - everything was wonderful.
We had an awesome meal here! I can be picky and after I read some of the other recent reviews, I was nervous I wouldn’t like it. I LOVED it! The service was awesome despite being completely packed. Everything was fresh and tasted delicious! We had the tuna tartare, the society scampi and one of the daily specials.
My husband and I had dinner outside on the patio because, hey, we are in Southwest Florida! Enjoyed the people watching while we ate dinner. The Key West shrimp with red curry and the seared snapper were both amazing! Our server was delightful, and overall wonderful evening out!

We spent five days in Marco Island and ended up having dinner at The Oyster Society twice—yes, it’s that good. From the moment you're seated, you’re treated to fresh, warm bread that sets the tone for the rest of the experience. For appetizers, we loved the Sprout & Crunch Salad (so flavorful!) and the Tuna Tango Roll, which was fresh and beautifully presented. One standout dish was the Lobster, Crab & Gnocchi Casserole—we ordered it as a shared app the first night and I loved it so much, I had it again as my entrée. It’s rich, decadent, and unforgettable. The second evening, I went all in with the Maine Lobster Tail and Filet Mignon—perfectly cooked and worth every bite. Service both nights was exceptional—attentive without being intrusive. One night we had a cozy table, and the next we sat at the bar, which had a fun, lively vibe. Whether you're dining or just grabbing a drink, The Oyster Society delivers on all fronts: great food, great service, great atmosphere. Can’t wait to return!
Sat outside. Sun was brutal for first 1/2 hour, but after it went down was very nice on their patio. Everything we had was great. Oysters, short rib/phylo appetizer and shrimp cocktail. Steak with mashed potato’s and asparagus for entree. Negroni was excellent. My son loved the Dragon Roll. Our table raved about the dragon roll. Would definitely good back. Mattew provided excellent service.
A hidden gem in beautiful Marco Island, definitely worth visiting if you're nearby. Great service, tasty food, a cozy vibe, and relaxing background music—all you need for a memorable night with family or friends. Thanks to Mathew and the team for such an unforgettable experience.
A must if visiting marco island. Great food and atmosphere. Rhea was a great server that made the night even better. If u have a group try to get the private room, game changer.
Loved this place, high priced but worth it. Oysters were amazing, cocktails were great. My wife got the chicken and it was cooked perfect. I got the seared diver scallops with mushroom ravioli, so good! Dessert was solid too.
Everything was great! The Oysters were delicious and also cocktails. Mushroom soup was from other planet!! The best of the dinner 🍽️ I love places where the staff take care of their customers. I made a note saying that I was celebrating my first anniversary with my husband and they sent us a complimentary dessert!!! Love this place!
While there were a couple little hiccups during our two and a half hour visit, the overall experience for the four of us was a positive one. Our server was kind, knowledgeable and attentive. The food was flavorful and presented well. Highlights were the Miso Glazed Salmon and the Oysters Rockefeller. Prices were about $3 high per entree, based on quality and presentation. The wine selection is diverse. The atmosphere is fun while also one of quality and attention to detail. If you're a true foodie, you might only give TOS four stars. But I went five, in anticipation of their sushi rolls being as good as the Tune Poke.
Cool atmosphere, good food, good service, good value. The only thing that wasn't great was something was dripping from the ceiling onto us the whole time. Probably condensation from the pipes because it was hot and humid. The complimentary bread seemed like a sweet roll with cheese on top and there was cornbread. The butter was interesting tasting, my husband thought there was pineapple in it. I think how's taste buds are broken😅. We ordered the Caesar salad, octopus and Louisiana hot pot for appetizers. The octopus was good, two tentacles, beans and arugula were well seasoned and tasty. The Louisiana hot pot was like a cioppino with sausage and one large prawn on top. For entrees we ordered the grouper blackened with the spinach Rockefeller and linguine for sides. The sides were larger than expected and really tasty. We also ordered the society sushi platter. We're from the west coast, so it was a bit different style than we're used to. The dragon roll has shredded crab stick on top, we're used to having slices of salmon, tuna, yellow tail and avocado on top. The firecracker roll has the crab on top of the roll with a jalapeno on top, great presentation, but we're used to having the crab in the roll. Different style, but it was still good. This is a good platter for sharing. We also ordered two glasses of wine and a soda. After tax and top it was about $310 for the two of us. That was a good value for the money in a cool setting. We saw lots of families dining, in addition to fancy older couples. It's cool to see a nice place that is enjoyable for couples and families. Make a reservation.
Anniversary Celebration Perfection at Oyster Society! My wife and I celebrated our anniversary at Oyster Society in Marco Island this past weekend, and it was truly unforgettable! This was our first time here, and everything from start to finish was fantastic. We began with the Chef’s Selection Oysters—fresh and flavorful, a perfect start to our evening. For mains, I enjoyed a beautifully cooked lamb dish, while my wife had the scallops—both were expertly prepared and felt like a taste of gourmet comfort, as if it was freshly made just for us. We paired our meal with a wonderful wine, and finished with a decadent house crème brûlée. Every bite was a delight. The atmosphere was warm and inviting, and we chose to sit outdoors, which added to the experience. Our drinks were excellent too—Dirty Martini and Aperol to start. The service was ok, it could be better but it did not ruin the memorable night. We will absolutely be back! Oyster Society is a perfect spot for any special occasion or a great meal with a loved one. 5 stars for a stellar anniversary experience!
We had a great dinner here on our trip at Marco Island. Location is very close to our timeshare at Marriott Crystal Shore so after checking the review of some places nearby, we decided to go to The Oyster Society, and we are soooo glad to make the right executive-decision. The restaurant decor and setup like Italian style looks very upscale and warm, friendly welcome. We made reservation online and arrived on time, got table right away and our serve Greta was quickly came greeted us. She mentioned some special today's dishes so we ordered oyster, hotpot and salad for appetizer, then main course are grouper, 16oz NY steak, and sushi roll. Oysters were very fresh and flavorful, Steak was big and done perfect. Grouper was good (my husband said a bit fishy to him) Sushi roll was very good (better than Japanese restaurant we went in Orlando). Everything was so yummy and enough foods for our family of 4 with 13yo and 3yo kids, and we actually got full, got leftover for midnight snack and our bill included glass of wine ($208) was same with other places we tried but never got full. Great service. Great foods. Great location. Great dining experience to add on our trip. We all love it. Thank you. We def. will be back!
I stopped in for happy hour on a Wednesday at about 5:15. I had a great crowd a great buzz and good energy. I sat at the bar outside and had phenomenal service. I ordered the blood orange margarita the octopus and spicy tuna bites. All of them were very very good and I loved the blood orange margarita! Such a good vibe and energy this is a must stop if you're in Marco.
10 out of 5 stars! This place is unassuming and although it doesn't have a water/beach front view the patio, bar and lounge provide a playful, sophisticated, welcoming atmosphere. Our food and drinks were top notch - everything from the sharable scallops, seasonal salad, potato crusted grouper, the pink lady sushi roll, wine and stone fruit sour cocktail were amazing. I wish I had 3 stomachs, so we could have eaten more food, drinks, coffee and dessert. Mmmm. When we come back to Marco this will be on the must visit list. Service was excellent - our server, the hostesses and manager were excellent. We thoroughly enjoyed our experience. Almost forgot to mention they are allergen conscious/knowledgeable and have plenty of delicious GF options that leave you feeling satisfied and like you're not missing out. Don't walk, run to (it's a must)! And they accept online reservations.
I visit my parents every few months, who live on Marco Island, and we always make sure to visit Oyster Society! We came for dinner on a Thursday night and happy we made reservations, it was mobbed! Per usual the waitstaff was extremely friendly, attentive and on top of their game. We got seated and got our orders taken right away. The food was delicious, I love how their menu rotates and there are always new options. I got the pistachio crusted sea bass and I highly recommend it, honestly I recommend everything on this menu. You don't be disappointed!
Great food, attentive servers. Loved the atmosphere, and its a very cute place. Key Lime Pie was some of the best I've ever had. We dined here twice during our week in Marco.
We had an incredible dining experience at The Oyster Society! Our server, Anna Marie, was fantastic—she was attentive, very sweet, and made us feel so welcome throughout the evening. The food was amazing! The oyster selection was impressive, and we loved the a la carte option, which allowed us to sample a few varieties before dinner. The bisque was flavorful, a perfect warm-up to the potato-encrusted grouper, which was cooked to perfection. The wine selection was decent, and we found some great pairings. The restaurant decor was elegant and created a warm, inviting atmosphere. We can’t wait to come back for another memorable evening.
We made it to The Oyster Society for Social Hour last week. The restaurant opened at 4:30 pm and when we entered the line in front of the restaurant at 3:45 pm, there were already two groups ahead of us. By the time the restaurant opened, the line behind us was 20 - 30 people deep. The special Social (Happy) Hour menu is available only at the bar or in the lounge from 4:30 - 6 pm. There are bar seats available both inside and outside of the restaurant. While we made it to a table in the lounge area, most of the people in line behind us did not appear to get a seat for Social Hour. Moral of the story...arrive early if Social Hour is your goal. The food and drinks were amazing. The drinks were strong, and one each was plenty for our group. We tried several of the small plates and the bread service. Everything was delicious. We would go back in a heartbeat.
Food and drinks were amazing, definitely get their specials. The Dubai chocolate bar is the best I’ve had so far!
This place attracts a lot of customers and for all good reasons. So it's best to reserve beforehand. Now besides the most acceptable service and attention from the staff the food was the bomb 👌 my wife and I love oysters and they had a whole menu of oysters ranging from East Coast to West Coast . The bread alone was delicious with the side of butter it came with . The drinks were well crafted . Definitely coming back here.
Entering The Oyster Society feels like stepping back in time to a 1920s speakeasy. We were first escorted to a back dining room, but since it was a bit noisy, we requested the front room. I’m so glad I spoke up — the ambiance there was absolutely perfect. Even the coasters, decorated with drawings and quotes, are a cool touch that adds to the charm. Our server, Natasha, was delightful — attentive, professional, and warm. She started us off with a delicious assortment of breads while we enjoyed our cocktails. For dinner, we shared the Spanish octopus, Caesar salad, and golden tilefish with broccolini — each dish beautifully prepared and full of flavor. To top it off, they surprised me with a lovely dessert and birthday candle, making the evening even more special. We’ll definitely return on our next visit to Marco Island. Highly recommended — as others told us, and with very good reason!
Ok...So my wife and I ate here last Sunday (Superbowl Sunday). Sonya was our server. She was professional, polite and very knowledgeable about the menu. We ordered the Filet(Oscar Style) and the 16 oz Aged NY Strip steak. Probably the best steak I have ever eaten! So, tender, cooked to perfection and you barely even needed a knife to cut it! Same goes for the Filet. We enjoyed our meals so much, that we came back 2 days later to try some other dishes. Georgi was our server this time. He was warm, friendly and professional. This time we opted for the Potato Crusted Grouper and the Tripletail special. Again- AMAZING!!! The Foie Gras starter was exceptional! After our meal, we went for the Key Lime Dessert...Again- WOW! Perfect balance between tart and sweet. In closing, this is the place to experience while in Marco Island. The ambiance is fantastic and the service is way over the top! Expect to pay a little more here, but as the saying goes...You get what you pay for! I am so glad we did. Thanks guys- we will be back!
My husband and I always aim to enjoy a memorable dinner during our vacations, and the Oyster Society certainly exceeded our expectations. From the moment we stepped inside, we were captivated by the inviting atmosphere. Our servers, Ana and George, provided exceptional service that added to the experience. We started with a dozen plump, fresh oysters—absolutely a perfect beginning. Our second course featured a crisp Caesar salad and a hearty bowl of the house soup, both prepared to perfection. But the highlight was our main courses: my husband savored the surf and turf, claiming it was the best he's ever had, while I indulged in the flavorful Black Pepper Salmon, which was simply delicious.
Andrew was our server. He was perfect. I don't love seafood. I love the beach. Lol I do like to try new things though. I've never had an oyster, but I wanted to them. He coached me through it all. While discovering oysters aren't for me, I did love the Snapper. It was my first time trying it as well. I'd order it again for sure. My wife got the grouper. Best grouper ever!!! It's not even close. We highly recommend this restaurant. The bourbon selection was incredible too.❤️
This experience was nothing short of amazing. We had a large party and the manager knew right away that our party was not going to be comfortable with the original seating and the manager immediately relocated us to the wine cellar. We had the most pleasant experience and our server Buce was amazing. She knew the menu perfectly and was able to provide recommendations. Glasses were never empty and food was superb. Highly recommend this for an upscale dining experience.
One of my favorite places to eat! Atmosphere of the restaurant is one of a kind, great selection of drinks and the food menu is out of this world! Service is excellent and treat you like royalty!! Never had a bad experience! Love coming here!
Really good raw oysters and great deal during HH. Fish tacos were good too with 4 different types of fish. The bartenders are really friendly and one even performed juggling routines with alcohol bottles. The complimentary parker rolls and cornbread are also delicious. We liked the place so much, we’re planning to go back tomorrow!
What a great spot! Our food was delicious! All 10 people in our group cleaned their plates. Our service was fabulous and the atmosphere in the back dining area was perfect. Would highly recommend for adult groups.
Went here for an anniversary dinner & enjoyed ourselves! Sat at the bar prior to dinner & was quickly served. Bartenders & wait staff were friendly & experienced. Ate dinner outside on patio. Food was great & loved the outdoor atmosphere. Highly recommend.
The Oyster Society on Marco Island presents an excellent setting for dining. The raw oysters were exceptionally fresh and delicious. The ambiance was exceptional. The staff's knowledge of the menu was impeccable, and the food was of exceptional quality. Will definitely return on our next trip!
Oyster Society in Marco Island is absolutely top-tier. The atmosphere is beautiful, the food was fresh and perfectly prepared, and the whole place has an upscale but still relaxed vibe. Everything we ordered was amazing — especially the oysters and seafood. But what really made the night special was the service. Martin was hands down one of the best servers we’ve ever had. He was friendly, professional, attentive without being intrusive, and his recommendations were spot on. He made sure everything was perfect from start to finish and gave us an experience that felt genuinely high-end. This is exactly how dining out should feel. We’ll definitely be back, and we’ll be asking for Martin again!
Beautiful outdoor bar. Our bartender was polite and attentive. Gave great suggestions and skilled with his bartending skills. Black walnut old fashion is amazing! Food was great, lacking a little more seasoning for my husband. She crab soup is Delicious! A must! Had a great time!
Good but not great is overall a good description. Sushi was good but not great. The fish was again, good but not great. The baked oysters were good but a little disappointing. The staff was average - not bad, just average. Beautiful restaurant with great cocktails and very good wine selection. A plus that it's very kid friendly. Food specifics: - I had the special fish of the day (American Snapper with skin on) and while the meat was cooked perfectly, the skin was soggy and the fish bland. I was surprised by that as I ordered it blackened. I'm pretty sure they just seared the skin and then baked it. Anyway, a solid 4 or 4.5 restaurant. I would go again.
The restaurant is owned and managed by the same company that operates the next-door DaVinci restaurant as well as Snook Inn and various other restaurants on Marco Island. This restaurant has a large bar area, 2 dining rooms, and a large patio. Many shushi items, fish and shellfish, and various meat dishes. On the patio, it can be noisy from "loud" customers at the bar. We had a wrong dish brought, and no apology offered. Except for combo plates, the price of dishes is for the protein only, and all sides have to be ordered separately. The potatoes side wss way too peppery and not tasty.
Been here a few times now. Cocktails are great. Well made, use top shelf stuff, and the happy hour deal is ridiculous. Also good wine and beer selection. Food is mostly very good. A few items seem low effort for what you pay. Island skewers and pork belly come to mind, taste fine but are overpriced for what you get. Seafood is what to get here. Oysters are fresh, cooked seafood is all good. The steaks are more hit or miss, for what you pay I’d expect a better steak that was correctly trimmed with my surf and turf. Also was under seasoned and closer to rare than the med-rare I asked for. Would definitely be back, especially for happy hour. Just know what to order here.
There is typically a very long wait at this restaurant, so making a reservation in advance is highly recommended. If you’re visiting from out of town, especially during peak season, be sure to book a reservation at least a few days ahead. The baked oyster trio had decent flavor. We ordered the special grilled snapper topped with lobster and shrimp. Unfortunately, the grilled octopus lacked flavor and was served cold. The grilled Chilean sea bass with miso sauce was decent and a good dairy-free option.
It’s alright - it’s very expensive but the oysters were good. The rest of the food was mixed - my snapper was cooked well but needed better seasoning. Someone in my party got the shrimp dish and it was extremely overcooked. I was not impressed with any restaurant we ate at on Marco Island, and we tried everything cheap and expensive.
Unfortunately we did not have a great experience. We have dined here many times and have had always loved this restaurant. We ordered the shrimp cocktail to start. First bite was off. Second shrimp fishy taste. Not fresh shrimp!! We are locals. The waiter gave us a discount for one shrimp. What a joke. Then came the entree…. Twin lobster tails… not fresh either. So disappointed. Won't be back.
