We were greeted by friendly staff and seated in the wonderful outdoor seating right away! Service was quick and prompt. Our server made sure we were comfortable. Food ordered: Truffle fries - 5/5 ..extra points to the habanero aioli👍 Hibiscus tacos - 5/5 😃It is a must try👍 Overall, the experience was amazing. Will definitely visit again.

I LOVE THIS PLACE!!! The food is ALWAYS incredibly delicious! The staff are top notch! The flavors are wonderful and the location is great. The açaí bowl is finger licking delicious. The tuna pica was almost as lovely as it was yummy!!!

Delicious! There's a great food selection here. You can stick with simple classics or try something special. We did a little of each and everything we ate had great flavor. I definitely want to go back and try some more of their dishes.

Absolutely Outstanding Restaurant! The location is right on Venice beach. The food is absolutely fantastic! By far the best part of this restaurant is the service, not just taking an order and getting it out to you but truly a consultative approach towards dining to make sure you get exactly what you want, the way you want it. I definitely recommend this restaurant!

We were here on a bright day with some cool breeze. Seated outside was just perfect for me. G who helped us had so much energy, which made a lot of difference. FRESH FOOD!!! The quality of their food is great, service is amazing, it's right near the beach so you gane eat there or take the food to go. Definitely will be going back!

A very nice menu at a great location almost right on the beach! The staff was friendly and the restaurant was nice. A little squishy with the seating but not too bad. The food me and my partner ordered was vegetarian that we’ve never had the option to try before. Plant based chorizo and a unnpesto feta plant based burger. Very good!! The plantain was a great touch, it was blackened nicely and carried a big flavour. I would recommended this place for a nicer meal in the area!

Nice local spot. The breakfast menu is spectacular! Highly recommend the breakfast menu, and apparently they have live music sometimes (and bottomless mimosas)! Didn’t take photos of the food but it was so good that I forgot! Located right next to the beach, it’s an ideal location away from the huge Venice crowds.

Love this place! Went the first time while visiting last year & came back again once I moved to LA. The food & service was great each time - love the happy hour deals & outdoor seating options. I plan to come back every time I'm around the Venice Beach area!

Cuban feeling in American restaurant, look no further. Service is outstanding and location perfect. Food was really good, and in my experience had a lot Cuban influences. Especially the omelet Bachelorette was really tasty and probably one of best I’ve had in LA. The Cuban sandwich was a bit too soggy to my taste, and came with a burger bun. Still tasty and worth trying. I recommend this place!

Fantastic brunch spot. We went there in January on a break from the NAMM Convention. After walking from the hotel we stumbled upon this place and right from the get go it looks like a perfect place of something vibrant yet something cool and calm. And it was just that. Staff were excellent informative cool and casual. The cuisine was modern American Latino and other infusions of West Coast flair and food. I would not hesitate to go back there. In fact I will be going back there it’s just a matter of when this damn pandemic lets us back into this amazing part of America and this amazing part of LA area. I had the eggs Benny. And it was perfect.

I love this amazing place on Venice Beach, with amazingly delicious food and a friendly atmosphere. And their happy hours are just something😍 these dishes that I photographed cost 12 and 10 $🤷🏼‍♀️ how is this possible😍 I recommend it to everyone!

It was my first time visiting this place, and it instantly became my favorite! 🌅 The bar is absolutely amazing — I ordered a non-alcoholic mojito, and they added banana to it, turning it into the most delicious smoothie-style drink I’ve ever had. 🍹 The staff were incredibly kind and attentive, and the sunset view made the experience unforgettable. Highly recommend this beautiful spot! ✨

I had the "Asia de Coco Cuba Fried Rice & Shrimp" and the "Cuban Coffee Flan" both were fire ! Amazing ! And the service was amazing shout out bartender Blake ! And it was near the beach. But the food, truly, was superb

Mercedes Grill has come full circle... We had a 60th b-day for about 25 people and used the Aloha Room (their new Tiki Bar which is SO CUTE!). The food was EXCELLENT - Sliders, Tacos, Quesadillas - the service/ cocktail selection / and quality from the Bartender (Will) was awesome (we had a golf theme 'Caddyshack" and he even went and got Golf Tees to use as a garnish for our MaiTais!) Our dedicated event Server (Gus) was not only attentive, he had a fun attidtude and kept the party rolling - and I really had such a great time working on a simple event menu - w/ the along with the culinary team - it was truly a top notch event. The new managers (Michael & Patrick) brought great energy - it's nice to see one of the OG spots in Venice coming into a bright light! ... We'll be back for Cuban food, soon - but wanted to leave a nice note about events & their new Tiki bar concept - A Venice Beach GEM.

we played the fabulous forum last night in Inglewood California, but our day found us closer to the water. I like to get out and walk every day, get my 10,000 steps, and we ended up at Venice Beach. Took a walk out on the Venice fisherman‘s pier and on the way back we found this little gem tucked away just off of the main drag there that led to the beach. The menu looked great so we decided to stop in. We were immediately greeted and seated by our lovely hostess/waitess G she was absolutely fantastic. Great personality great vibe. The food was amazing. I had the Cubano omelette and my buddy had the chicken and egg scramble, which were both very very good Made us feel right at home showered us with hostess love and positive vibes and just started our day on a good note thank you Mercedes bar and Grill.

FRESH FISH!! Fresh veggies fresh food. Wow this place seems to put quality first, not to mention the atmosphere. Right near the beach, the hustle and bustle doesn’t slow down their service. Went here for lunch for my birthday. The staff was so nice and attentive. The food was really good. They're ceviche was great with nice size shrimp inside. Omelet's had a ton of meat inside. Also, they check for vaccine cards to allow you to keep your mask off during your time there.

Close to the Venice Beach pier, this is the go to place for breakfast! We had the avocado toast, chicken and pancakes (their waffle machine was being repaired), and the slim egg scramble. All delicious, but that avocado toast and eggs over medium was the best. Great atmosphere and music! 100% recommend.

Stopped here for breakfast, we both had omelette 'the hippie' one with potatoes and one with fruit. Between 8am and 9am this is half price only $8 inc tax and it's not only the best value breakfast in LA, is probably the best tasting..the potatoes are amazing and this will keep you going until late afternoon. Don't miss this spot...it's simply fantastic along with great staff.

Every dish feels thoughtfully prepared rather than rushed or touristy. The atmosphere is just as strong. Relaxed, welcoming, and effortlessly cool, with great service that makes you want to stay longer than planned. It’s the kind of place you come back to again and again, whether you’re local or just passing through.

Delicious Blackened Fish Sandwich. Each dish has an interesting Cuban twist. Wonderful location: so nice to sit outside on a quiet day to take in the ocean, the crowd and the street.

Very nice spot for brunch or lunch right near Venice Beach front. The service was excellent, very attentive waitress. I asked for Chicken and Waffles but they were out of waffles so she said she could improvise and do it with pancakes instead which was a nice touch. She was always checking everything was ok and if she could get us anything. My only minor criticism would be that each dish was maybe a couple of dollars too expensive, but we were happy to pay because of the excellent service.

The truffle fries are a must, so delicious and the salmon! The rest of the food was kinda mid. They give you a side of black beans and plantains with Salmon which is kinda odd, but they were alright.

I used to be a regular here, but this was my first visit in over two and a half years. Unfortunately, while the food was still phenomenal, the overall experience left much to be desired. I ordered two hibiscus street tacos with black beans, rice, plantains, and a side of mushrooms in their delicious caper sauce. I also got the artichoke dip and a virgin blueberry mojito. The food did not disappoint. Everything was fresh, flavorful, and exactly how I remembered it. They did accommodate my request to have the mushrooms with caper sauce on the side, which I appreciated. The service, however, was disappointing. I was not greeted or seated. I had to grab a menu myself and ended up placing my order at the bar out of frustration. It was obvious I was there to dine, but I felt completely ignored. One of the staff members also made a very forward comment about tipping. I had every intention of leaving a tip, but the way it was approached felt tactless and unprofessional. I was also overcharged for the artichoke dip. It was listed at twelve dollars for happy hour, but I was charged eighteen. To make matters worse, they did not include any utensils in my to-go order. At that point I just went to go enjoy my food in the car instead. The food was incredible, but the poor service made the experience frustrating. I am not sure I will be returning.

This message is to the owner directly She needs to read this We are one of your loyal customers for the last several years. All your changes with Happy Hour hours and jacking up prices is driving your best loyal customers away also the sneaky reg vs cash price on my receipt with disclosure is totally out of line! Your business plan is going to put you in bankruptcy after all your successful years in business. I am aware costs are going up. Focus on growing your business with volume! Your employees informed me your business has significantly decreased with all your changes. Now what? You going to increase your prices to make up for the difference?

We sat there for almost 30 min and no one came to serve us, so we got up and left!!
