To start, the service was on point with Reagan at the helm. The food was fantastic and I mean wow! They served each appetizer separately. The crab cakes, meatballs, Saginaki and shrimp were all amazing. Fresh ingredients for sure and the kitchen cares about the food and what it looks like when served. The Old fashioned from the bar proved the bartender cared as much as the cooks. I can’t recommend this place enough. DON’T MISS THIS PLACE…YOU WILL REGRET IT.
Very nice place for a meal, I had a seafood tower, was excellent with lobster and real crab meat, estia chips was very refreshing with the taziki sauce. The octopus was beyond my expectations!!! A must try for anyone! And lastly I had the lamb chops with roasted potatoes instead of the fries which i recommend! Lamb was 10/10!
Our dinner was amazing, I really recommend it, the delicious and fresh food, Langostins and lamb was part of our menu. Our waitress was always attentive and gave us the best recommendations according to our tastes (her name is Regan).
A hidden gem, amazing food, great quality, delicious. Super fast and nice staff A must-try Greek food
Local feel and Greek meal!! Leon is a great server with knowledge about the menu making you feel great about dinner choices. Grape leaves 10! Lamb chow 10! Prices perfect for the great food we had. See you next time. Double espresso is on point.
I am not sure why I took so long to come here. The ambience here is great for dates and Greek food lovers. When you look up at the ceiling, you will feel like you are in the hull of a ship. I ordered the calamari which wasn’t bad at all. When my main dish came out, the lamb chops, wow, they were cooked to perfection. They came with these large steak fries. The fries were bad, but I should have substituted them for veggies. My lady had the sea bass. When she offered me some, not only was it tasty, it was packed with so many flavors. Overall, Estia is underrated south NJ restaurant. A must visit place if you want to have a great food experience. Shout out to Shannon, our server for making the night fun. She was very attentive and friendly.
We had the anniversary dinner here and it was memorable! Appetizer, Entree and drinks were all five stars. Highly recommend to visit during happy hour. (Check website for details) The oysters were fresh and sweet. My favorite appetizer would be fried calamari. We ordered Lamp chops and medium-rare was just perfect. The service was quick and friendly. We were glad to have the special dinner at Estia.
Estia Taverna is an Authentic Greek restaurant and their food is top notch - From their lamb to fresh seafood to their apps, like their Estia Chips (thinly sliced and lightly fried Zucchini and Eggplant) are packed with flavor 🤌🏾 PLUS their Happy hour is EVERYDAY (3-6) 🤯 Who else has a Happy Hour on the weekend?? And if you like Oysters - their Happy Hour has oysters (6:$12 or 12:$24)! Damn good deal, nice atmosphere and great spot to watch a game! Will definitely be back 💯 resh Oysters @ $24
I really enjoyed dinner here with my husband. The restaurant was beautiful inside and the staff was wonderful and attentive. I thought the food was good but perhaps a bit overpriced for the quality. It was hard to tell if the recipes were traditional but the food was still very tasty.
A beautiful romantic tavern for a night out with someone special or a atmospheric experience with intimate chatter of a friend. We had the chicken with creamy orzo yum, dill zucchini chips omg and pistaccio custard dessert. Our waiter Leon was perfect. Friendly, attentive, not pushy or interruptive, gave us plenty of time to just enjoy everything. Our food was not rushed and we enjoyed 3 hours just eating, drinking and talking. Low light and inviting place. Definitely coming back.
Loved the food. Everything was fresh and we'll flavored. Would definitely come back again.
Exceptional work experience with my COI. In the comfort of this amazing space we were able to share ideas for 2023. My Insurance Agent Partner , My Attorney Partner, My Accountant Partner and yours truly the Banker Partner were able to meet over meal to discuss business plans for each of our businesses and how as specialized partners we can contribute to each other business and help each other be successful. Thanks to the Estia team for facilitating this process. The food choices were great, the cocktails were fantastic and yes the appetizers and desserts were beyond tantalizing providing a huge treat for all of our tastebuds. The layout of this space has an ancient feel, with a touch of modern design and accent for that warm Greek style and feel. I especially love the restroom and particularly like that from any angle of the restroom the kitchen was visible. Overall my partners and I were well pleased ❤️💥🎉❤️🔥
Went there for happy hour. Great bartenders and delicious grilled octopus. Once you stray off the happy hour menu it gets expensive, but I heard that their lamb chops are delicious. Neat looking building inside as well
Love the food at Estia! I've been coming for a few years and brought a friend for dinner last night. It was her first time and she absolutely loved it. We had the Estia chips (not pictured), Lavraki, Tuna and then the Greek cheesecake for dessert. The food was amazing as usual! Our server was so nice and helpful. Can't wait to go back soon!
Brought my Wife here for her Birthday last night. By far the best meal my wife and I have had in Jersey since we moved here last year. The staff is very friendly and the cooks know their stuff. The overall environment is fantastic. I highly recommend coming here and definitely will becoming a regular. Thanks for the great food!
We had a lovely dinner. The staff was so accommodating as we were delayed by the Eagles parade. Always receive 5 star service and the food reminds us of Greece..
I have visited Estia in Center City Philadelphia and was happy to learn it was one located in NJ. Food and Mocktails were delicious! Loved the octopus! Definitely will be back!
I've had the pleasure of dining at Estia Taverna a few times and consistently loved it! My last time there was for a business dinner. Everyone njoyed how fresh each selection was and how amazing and attentive the staff were. I highly recommend you visit!!
Wonderful dining experience. Food was delicious! All the appetizers: Estia chips, octopus, fried calamari w spicy marinara, lemon hummus w/fresh bread, tzaziki etc were excellent. Roast chicken and lambchops, desserts were phenomenal. Drinks are creative, loved my sour cherry margaritas. Service was attentive. The place itself has a large bar and nice architectural design. My new favorite place.
We ordered the swordfish Slovakia and the lobster linguine along with an appetizer of a roasted octopus. The waitress was very knowledgeable of all the dishes and helpful in offering suggestions. I would definitely come back to this restaurant.
Our server Minh was awesome! He was so attentive! The presentation and flavors of the food were spot on! Absolutely worth the trip! Thank you for making this trip a memorable one! This was a Christmas gift from my son and his girlfriend. A trip well worth returning back to!
Went here for our anniversary dinner and the food and service were both amazing! There are not enough words for me to properly explain how much we enjoyed our experience at Estia!
Really delicious Greek food in a beautiful restaurant setting! We went on a Saturday night at 8:30 (with a reservation) and it was packed and quite loud, so if that's not your vibe I would recommend maybe a weeknight or earlier in the evening. Our server was very helpful and attentive, refilling our glasses frequently and the food came out quickly. We had the spinach pie, Greek salad with tuna, and pasta ala Grecca, all of which were delicious. The freshly baked crusty bread with hummus that comes with the meal was so tasty too. We got the baklava to go and it was great too! All in all we spent about $55 per person, which considering the quality and quantity of food, I think is definitely fair. When you're at Estia, if you have a seat near the kitchen it's worthwhile to watch the chefs/line cooks working - they are really an impressive team and work with incredible speed!
Great atmosphere for Valentine's Day. As it was dim but lit and love was in the air. Friendly and informative staff tending to tables. Recieved specials and great explanations of food and drink options. Delightful experience. Highly Recommended, we had great appetizers and the tuna and swordfish were prepared well.
I had trouble trying to figure out just where Estia Taverna was located from the pictures on Google Maps so I promised myself that the first thing I would do when I got there, was to take some pictures from the outside. Now to the beautifully presented and prepared dishes on the menu which were beyond my imaginings. The bland descriptions of the culinary delights on the menu left a lot to be desired but trust me, you can't go wrong ordering anything listed! The grilled shrimp entrée was amazing and perfectly marinated; they simply serve really good food presented like works of art. The wait staff was cordial, busy and efficient.
I ordered for delivery. The food was delicious and very well seasoned. The octopus was so soft and tender. Everything was amazing. I cannot wait to eat at the restaurant.
Dined here this past week for my moms birthday and let’s just say our experience was amazing! The food, ambiance, and even our server Diana was great! We definitely will be returning in the near future!
It was our second time here and it was better than I remembered. Food was great. He absolutely loved the steak. I ordered lamb and it fell off the bone! The interior of the restaurant is really beautiful and its bigger than it looks from the outside. The patio area was closed, but was very cute. Looking forward to going back and sitting outside
Nice chill spot! Mouthwatering meals, 😋😋 drinks. Everything from the food, drinks, atmosphere and service was great!
Best Greek restaurant in the area! Favorite apps are the grilled octopus, estia chips, and beets with scordalia. All the dips are delicious with the pita bread. The seafood is especially fresh and delicious. Try pairing your meal with their Greek wine as well.
So good Greek restaurant!! I found it during driving on route 70. Easy to find!! I had a dinner at another Estia in Philly, so as soon as I found this I decided to have lunch here!!! I had a seafood dish with pasta. Soooo goood! I thought the pasta is similar to rice. The texture is very good! I love it! Very friendly waitress served for us. I requested a high chairs for my friend’s kid. Good service and good house!!! I highly recommend to have good Greek dishes here!!!
Small interior. Food was 8/10. Delicious prawns, delicious lamb chops, and the grilled octopus was also amazing. Will return!
This restaurant never disappoints. Food is fresh, hot and consistent. If you like Mediterranean food, you must try Estia. The atmosphere is definitely Mediterranean, cozy and welcoming. Great for families, even better for date night.
I love the ambiance at Estia! We brought our family from NY here and they loved it! We ordered the Estia Chips, Oysters, Greek Meatballs, Grilled Octopus, Greek Salad, Lamb chops, Dolmades, and the Baklava. Everything was delicious! We thought the Estia Chips & Lamb chops were the best. Highly recommend to anyone looking to go out for a special occasion.
It was my first experience and it was great! The food was tasty, fresh and seasoned very well. I really enjoyed the Estia chips. Our server, Besa was friendly and accommodating. She thought of everything and consistently anticipated our needs. This restaurant is high on my list of places to eat. I would highly recommend you visit
I recently spent a week in the U.S. traveling from Ireland and had a great time. Besa was our waiter and she was very kind and helpful. The restaurant was lovely, with great food and a nice atmosphere. I would definitely come back.
Went tonight for the first time. Being a pescatarian I loved all the fresh wild caught seafood options. I went for a pre fix dinner for 40. Everything was fresh and delicious. I’ll definitely be back. Thank you.
I had the best birthday dinner here last night! The food was so authentic—it brought me right back to my trip to Greece. Everything we had was delicious, especially the dolmadas, hummus, pistachio gelato, and Greek cheesecake! Our server, Shannon, was super sweet, attentive, and had great recommendations. The vibe was cozy and romantic with candlelight and low lighting. I’ll definitely be back any time I want to relive my Greece trip!
My favorite restaurant in south jersey! Beautiful ambience, delicious food selections, and professional staff. Estia chips are my favorite appetizer.
Great food and service in a very pleasant atmosphere. One of my favorite restaurants. A little pricey.
Appetizers Entrees Dessert exceptional. The sorbet dessert should be larger for the price. Drinks made to perfection. Bartenders drink suggestions and mixology excellent. Thanks for a great evening as we have experienced many times.
Made a reservation 2 months ago and we were seated in the sunroom (not sure what to call it) next to the wait staff station. Asked to be moved to the next table which they did. Not sure why we could not be seated in the main dining room. Tables were empty for quite awhile. Plus there was a birthday party next to us so the noise level was high. The food was good and our waitress was very attentive. We told her that we were celebrating my husband's birthday. At the end of our meal, they brought out a happy birthday plate with a candle and 4 almond cookies. It was very nice but when we saw the bill, they charged us for the cookies which we did not request. The table location and the charge for the cookies put a damper on the evening. It is a very nice restaurant but the little things are what we remember.
First of all let me say we were horrifically disappointed. The restaurant has suspended all sales of the famous 12oz filet for $59 Unacceptable Then we settled for a NY strip and the waitress said they were all out of them. Unacceptable Ok. Let’s do seafood. Salmon with spinach rice. Very good. Halibut with mixed vegetables. Also very good. Dessert was something like a tiramisu with shaved baklava and a dark chocolate cake in a nice sauce. Coffee was cold. That said it’s still a 5 star restaurant
Excellent food and atmosphere. Breading on the calamari appetizer was very light and well seasoned. Not chewy. Saganaki was perfect. Lamb chop entree was more medium than I asked for but still incredibly delicious and super tender. Would have given 5 stars but the service wasn't super great. I think the waitress was over seated in her section, so not entirely her fault. Will absolutely be returning!
Good food, good service, nice atmosphere. Again I visited and still the food is very good and the service was excellent. We were here again December 2020 and still enjoyed the food, service by Daven and the atmosphere.
The meat were salty and the potatoes sweet. Atmosphere is very good and the service was excellent
I have not been here forever. I forgot how pretty and comfortable the bar is. I had the grilled shrimp app that was grilled and seasoned to perfection. And I had a few glasses of my fave, Greek white wine. My only complaint...the prices are a little high...however, the seafood and vegetables/salads are all so fresh and delicious. I did confirm, however, that they still have happy hour everyday. So, of course, I plan to hit it very soon. 😉🍷🥳
Service was perfect!!! Food was good. Loved the octopus and the lamb shanks. Lamb chops were fatty. Dessert was delicious. The restaurant was very warm, so dress accordingly 🤯
It was my first time there. I go to many Mediterranean restaurants, so I can say this wasn’t my top 10. First thing we ordered sparkling water. And the waiter was definitely not sure if we can pay for it…because it was $8…like it made us feel unwelcome. We had two appetizers. One was sup tartare and I can tell you you need to cut fish in a smaller pieces. Salad with 5 PCs of beetroots and mad arugula for $16…was overpriced. But main dish…was tuna with spinach. So you have 5 slices of tune and enormous amount of spinach… Our bill was around $200. We tipped $50 But this is definitely not a place for us where we felt unwelcome. But if you happen to go there, definitely order lamb chops
We have been wanting to dine at Estia for a long time. Tried making reservations online for weeks, but it was always too late and reservations were gone. We were thrilled to finally book early enough to be able to enjoy. Upon arrival we were seated at a table that was on the outer perimeter of the seating area. This table should not be here. It's as if it was added just to have one more opportunity to seat someone for money. The drinks ordered were ok, nothing great. The food, what can I say, the seafood looked amazing but was bland as baby food. The moussaka was not something I would ever order again. Needless to say, huge disappointment. With all the amazing restaurants around, we will never return here.
