Cinco de Mayo

This is my family's favorite place to order Mexican food. We get the dozen beef crunchy tacos and the dozen chicken enchiladas. I don't know which is better. The sauce over the enchiladas is so unique and delicious; kind of sweet, but super flavorful.

We had the tacos and enchiladas soo good! Services was great, friendly and helpful.

This one gets 5 stars all around due to consistency in food quality and ownership. Just picked up four crispy tacos - 2 beef 2 chicken - and the 2 cheese enchilada plate that comes with rice and beans on the side. Easy to tell the nice folks who run this establishment care about their product.

The staff was super friendly and the food is very good for the price! I’ll definitely be coming back. The taller woman working behind the counter was incredibly helpful and provided really great hospitality! Food was also really good.

I love this place . I go there at least once a week , for about a year now . I usually get the 2 crispy taco plate , which comes with rice and beans . It's under $9 ! Everything I've tried there is very good.

I have been going here for 2 years. They are super consistent, very friendly, great food, professional, great prices, I highly recommend THIS Cinco De Mayo. I order the WET cardne asada wet burrito with half green sauce and half red sauce with extra cheese and oh my.. very delicious. So I would just like to say thank you to the whole team at this location. Keep up the great work.

Great crisp taco, salsa was excellent

It was like a fortress of nachos, loaded, weighing almost a baby, went back for a chicken quesadilla, another baby, so far this place does not disappoint... Highly recommended.

Only thing I don't like about this place as well as domino's is that the charge card reader forces you to pay a tip or decline it. You need to ask your employer for more money as the cashier if you need tips. I always thought tips where for waiters and not take out food places. Pretty soon McDonald's and even safeway will include this forced option.

It's hard to come across this good of Mexican food from a fast food place. I was surprised with the excellent flavor of the carne asada, and the adobada was on the spot. For a real special treat their nachos are incredible, really recommend you try this out. Service very nice.

I had the hard shell ground beef taco and it was delicious. I have been looking for this kind of taco and I finally found what I’m looking for! If I lived closer I would have a problem! I will eat there again when I’m in town! And the salsa!!!

I almost hate to reveal this hidden gem of Martinez because it's already a busy restaurant. But seriously, this family owned establishment has some of the best, most authentic Mexican food around, and the prices are amazing. The portions are huge and always consistently good. We normally get the enchilad meals, but tonight we had fajitas! Woah! Huuuge. Seriously, my wife and I could have ordered one and split it. See the photo of what was leftover after we each had 3 full tortillas! Under $20 each with soft drinks. So good, so worth it! Just know that there are not a lot of tables, so if you go at dinner time you might have to take it to go.

Been a customer for over 8 years and counting, was here the day they opened in what used to be known as Chavindas. Was highly anticipating another Cinco De Mayo closer to home and man did they ever meet my expectations! They have all of your standard dishes and a couple extra! All within economic prices but flavor and consistency they could be selling for more. They have always been customercentric placing us over their own convenience. They have over 50 unique menu items, catering specials, lunch specials, dinner specials, plenty of tamales for holidays and a 5 star staff that does their best to accommodate your requirements. In addition to all the above they are located right across the street from the brand new remodeled Martinez Movie Theatre (Contra Costa Cinemas), but Raelys Nob Hill Foods, CVS, and Kinders, are all innthe same shopping center making it easy to kill three birds with one stone! But dont take just my word for it visit them on your next lunch hour or shopping run and you wont be dissatisfied or unhappy, and if by some chance there are expectations they they fail to meet give them a chance to remedy the situation before giving them a bad review. Thank you for reading my review and dont forget to leave one yourself, wherever you go. Afterall we cant make better what we dont know needs improvement. How else but through honest accounts can we begin to build upon the good and fix potential mistakes.

We were out at Nob Hill grocery shopping and decided to get some breakfast and was pleasantly surprised that they had huevos Rancheros so that's what we had. They were so delicious and had a whole green chili stuffed with cheese on top which was a surprise but very delicious. The service was quick and friendly.

Service has gotten quicker which is a big plus. Often I the past I'd call ahead so food would be ready when I arrived and would still have to wait an additional 10 min or so once I arrived at the time indicated when I ordered. I'm glad that's no longer the case and no frequent this establishment more often as they have really good tasting food, which makes it worth the wait, but was inconvenient when on a short time schedule.

Honestly the price is still. It's a good location very near to my house and lots of parking. It's packed with locals but let me tell you honestly the food is mediocre. It isn't good but it isn't bad. But it's super reasonable and it keeps me from having to cook. Also, where else are you going to get a taco salad for under 10 bucks? That's unheard of these days!! Yes

Tacos were delicious, tender and very flavorful. The hot salsa was actually hot and flavorful too. Quick service and the horchata had that extra bite of cinnamon. Greatvplace for a quick delicious bite.

The flan is amazing! The cheesecake is alright. The enchiladas sauce was super yummy! The burrito was huge and the flavor of the rice was good. The chicken in the burrito was tender but not as seasoned as I would like it to be. I really enjoyed the enchiladas but not after they have been warmed up in the microwave. I look forwarding to trying other items on the menu. Definitely recommend for others to try it out.

This restaurant has been one of my families favorite restaurants for years. From the first location down on Pacheco Boulevard. To this location on Center Drive. My youngest daughter who. Is a very picky eater. We go there so she can get her favorite rice and beans and cheese quesadilla. My oldest daughter and I love the spice carrots. I have ordered many things off their menu. And have yet to come across something I did not like. Here are a few pictures of the sauce is carrots taco salad. Which by the way is my absolute favorite. And they make their own taco shell. The bean dip is amazing. I recommend trying this restaurant out.

Was craving some Mexican Food and came across this place. They served authentic Mexican Food with lots of flavor. I ordered the Juevos Rancheros. The eggs were not too runny! I love loved the green chile on this plate. They also services chips and salsa. They had three different flavors but I can only go with mild because I can’t take the heat. But it was still good!

The food is good but they do not seem to know their own menu. I have ordered twice off their printed menu and they have no clue what I'm talking about when I call. It's been the same people with the exception of one or two people for the last ten years minimum but can't seem to know their own menu. It's literally posted directly behind them in store when you order. Disappointing is all I can say.

Place is nice and clean. Employees seem nice, I had the shredded chicken enchilada combo,the enchilada had no taste to it,. Beans were really good, rice was okay. Their flan is impressive,I remember growing up in Martinez the place had awesome food so I'll visit one more time when I'm in town and try something different,I might ask around for some recommendations since it's been so long since I've visited

Place is nice and clean. Employees seem nice, I had the shredded chicken enchilada combo,the enchilada had no taste to it,. Beans were really good, rice was okay. Their flan is impressive,I remember growing up in Martinez the place had awesome food so I'll visit one more time when I'm in town and try something different,I might ask around for some recommendations since it's been so long since I've visited

Last Saturday, came here at 10:10AM for my birthday breakfast and they didn't have the lobby open. Waited another 5 minutes, and still didn't open the door. I think they need to update their hours. Never came here before, so can't rate the food.

Went to the Martinez Cinco De Mayo restaurant because it is across the freeway from our home. This was our first and will be our last. The chicken tacos, burritos & enchiladas all lacked seasoning. Found two small pieces of celery in one of the two burritos that came with our combination plates. No taste in each of the #1 combination plates we ordered . Each food item had a lot of chicken but lack seasoning you would expect to have in Mexican food.

Bad food brown burnt taco salad and burrito was order wet but came dry 2nd time bad food ..1st time was excellent but now twice it was bad may not go again

Food was "okay". Nothing special. Beans in burritos were hard, so not fully cooked.

They have decent food, but it tastes like they are throwing it together and cutting corners, where the other location cooks with care to make delicious food. The service was ok, but when I asked for green hot sauce they said its an extra 25cents then asked if I wanted any of the other free sauces, assuming I didn't want what I asked for, or they didn't feel like being bothered of ringing me up for some green sauce. Then when I got home this is how they fill their hot sauces (see photo). they only filled them halfway which seems wasteful of the container, and very cheap of them. won't be excited to return to this location. I'll stick to the Pacheco and bush location.

Found a roach in my food. The people in there were doing some grimey crap and touching the food. Never again smh
