Food was phenomenal. Our waitress was so polite kind generous best service I have ever had ever. I highly recommend coming here trying their amazing food service atmosphere I look forward to definitely coming back here again. She really made my birthday special and it was really nice that we have to sit by a fireplace and I got to try the elk and it was really good everything was good.

Wanted to try this place for a while. Finally found time to stop in for a nice dinner out. Right from arrival I knew I would like the place. Its a very inviting and cozy space. An old stone house converted into a lovely restaurant. Service was fantastic. Drinks were delicious. We tried 2 of the flatbread pizzas, a salad, and a small plate. Definitely leaving full after eating all of it. Will definitely be back to try even more of them menu. Definitely a great place for a date, special occasion, or nice business dinner.

We had reservations for 8 people on a recent Saturday night. From start to finish everything was fantastic! The seasonal drinks were a favorite of our whole table. Our server, Michael, was attentive, personable and made the night that much more enjoyable for us. We will definitely be back!

We took friends here for a date night out and it was amazing. Food was fantastic. Atmosphere was unique and quaint. Beverage menu was widely appealing to anyone. From the the time I first came in I was already wanting to come back. I got the grill3d shrimp skewers and they were both seasoned and cooked perfectly. My wife got the parmesan crusted chicken breast and it was perfectly cooked and well seasoned. Only thing I can say about the chicken dish is that I would prefer a thinner chicken breast. This would also prevent undercooked chicken as I have seen in other posts. Cheese cake was very good but lacked enough raspberry sauce. This has been added to my favorites list and we will be back soon.

This was our first experience at Social. Loved the vibe of the place with a converted old home. The tables were spaced nicely to give you a degree of privacy. The service was good and the food was good also, with a nice selection. Good alcohol beverage mix with a reasonably priced wine list. My only negative might be that the mix of potatoes and other items in with some of the red meat options seemed a little more like comfort foods. A simpler option for those dishes would be good. Great salads and excellent French Onion soup.

A Culinary Gem: Social at the Stonehouse Stepping into Social at the Stonehouse is an experience in rustic elegance. The ambiance immediately captivates with its beautiful, exposed stone walls and warm, inviting lighting. The space feels both grand and intimate, a perfect setting for a memorable meal. Every detail, from the comfortable seating to the thoughtfully placed decor, contributes to a cozy yet refined atmosphere that makes you feel right at home. The service is every bit as impressive as the setting. Our server was incredibly attentive, knowledgeable about the menu, and genuinely passionate about our dining experience. The pace of the meal was flawless—never rushed, but always seamless. Every request was met with a friendly smile, making us feel like valued guests from the moment we arrived until we left. But the true star of the evening was, without a doubt, the steak. Seared to a flawless crust on the outside while remaining incredibly juicy and tender within, it was cooked to absolute perfection. The rich, savory flavor was a testament to the quality of the cut and the skill of the chef. The meal was a culinary masterpiece that exceeded all expectations. Social at the Stonehouse is a truly exceptional place that delivers on all fronts. The room we had echoed sometimes with loud guests . If the noise bothers you I would suggest a dining experience on the patio.

Came into town this year to check out The Stone House, it’s better than it was the first year!! The drinks were great, our server is attentive, and the food was very good. Like my first review, this is the restaurant that Massillon needed! I’m a very critical reviewer, trust me when I say you should give it a shot.

I was wonderfully surprised to find this gem in Massillon. Since I was by myself, I only had a few items, but they were divine. The blackened shrimp and cornbread appetizer still has my mouth watering, and the scallop entree was deliciously light—it tasted just like you’d expect summer would. Drinks were superb, and the service was impeccable (professional and homey at the same time). Since I have no chill, I spent over $100 by myself, but you could be much more budget friendly if you wanted :) I wish I’d taken photos, but I was way too busy enjoying myself.

Came here for my birthday and Social did not disappoint. The crab cakes were piping hot and incredible, the Wagyu burger was earthy and so filling, and the beet/goat cheese/arugula salad was simple and incredible. My partner had the chicken reisling, and oh my lort, that was the highlight! Ashley was our server and she took such good care of us! We had the best experience and we’re definitely coming back to work our way down the menu 😊

The space was great and I wish it wasn't so far from where we live or we'd be there all the time. Excellent menu excellent food and excellent service. Be sure to visit the third floor bar.

Such a unique, cool experience! Top floor seating by the bar was awesome. Fancy atmosphere—but my buddies and I were able to be rowdy up there tucked away from civilization lol. Service was tremendous and the food was phenomenal. Everything was mouth-watering and flavorful. House is rich with history (a dentist used to live here) and they encourage house exploration.

We ate here for the first time for our Christmas dinner party for work. The foo; delicious, the drinks...to die for!, th dessert; absolutely incredible, but most of all, our waitress, she was perfect for our group!! She made sure we never needed or wanted for a thing, we all laughed all night long with her, she fit in with us like she was apart of our group! By the time our night was over, we even asked if she wanted a job! Our room was beautiful with our own little Christmas tree which was perfect for our gift exchange and pictures. This is something my boss has done for all of us techs for many many years, and this was hands down the best time and place we have been!! It's been almost two weeks since we have been there and we are all still talking about it. I know myself will definitely recommend this place to everyone!

Came for the charm of the historic house stayed for the mind blowing food. Everything from the service to the vibe was spot-on. Whether you’re with friends or flying solo, this place is a must. A small town gem with big personality. Can’t wait to come back.

My husband and I came for dinner for my birthday. The staff went above and beyond to make me feel incredibly special. This is the best restaurant My husband and I have been to. It has atmosphere, incredible service (thanks Jessica!) and the food is amazing. We had the tater tot skewers to start. Then I had the steak bites and a side order of the Brussel sprouts. My husband had the steak and enjoyed the Old Fashions. For desert we had the chocolate cake. We absolutely loved our experience and are excited to come back

So heres the review; Appetizer: crab cakes, in a word, NOPE- was cold, small and flavor was “meh”- “Strawberries forever Salad” Awesome, huge, covered in strawberries and goat cheese Main Course; Tina - Lamb chops- she gave them an 8/10- her side dish was zucchini in olive oil and seasoning- Really Good Greg - 14oz NY Strip upgrade to Black and Bleu At first was way under cooked, sent back and it was returned perfectly- this steak was AMAZING! 8/10 Side dish- they took small potatoes, baked them, then smashed them- seasoned them and placed under the steak- they were stupid good Our server was “Briena”, she was amazing Atmosphere-amazing, very romantic, cool, makes you want to hang out here everyday, 3 floors of nostalgia, coolness and Bose sound system thru all 3 floors- Patio is HUGE and gorgeous, very classy My only regret is not taking more pictures to post here Definitely going back

I brought my husband here for his birthday - wanted to try something new and different. We both agree it was our favorite local dining experience to date! The home is absolutely beautiful! Our reserved table was not available when we arrived so we headed upstairs to the third floor lounge. Passing through the second floor, there were no people there, but it looked as though that area is designed for small parties/meetings with larger tables set up in individual rooms. Made a mental note to look into hosting a small event here in the future! The third floor lounge is beautiful! Loved the first drink I tried (called Figure it Out) and stuck with that for the night. My husband had two other drinks which were also great, but we both thought the figgy drink is where it’s at - we’d return just to hang in the lounge and enjoy one (or a few) of those! Once our table was ready, we headed back downstairs to the first floor. The environment was very intimate yet spacious! The decor and woodwork are beautiful. We wanted to try so many things from the menu, so we each got an appetizer, dinner and dessert. Portions sizes are perfect, presentation was beautiful, and and everything we tried we would order again! My husband ordered the scallops and they were cooked perfectly. The service was top notch! Our server remembered that I mentioned it was my husbands birthday when I made the reservation, so she brought out his carrot cake (which he said was the best ever) with a candle in it. Lovely touch! Other than our table not being ready for about 45 min later than our reservation (due to the prior guests lingering in conversation) everything was perfect. And honestly, we are glad our table wasn’t ready because we probably wouldn’t have wandered up to the third floor otherwise. We’ve dined at other houses/mansions so I was really excited to see this one had opened so close to where we live, and I was looking forward to surprising my husband. My expectations were definitely exceeded in all categories: atmosphere, cleanliness, service, presentation…but above all else, the food. My husband was so happy with the experience and it made for a great birthday dinner. We will definitely return and we will be recommending this beautiful place to all!

Our waitress Jacqualine was phenomenal. IMO this place needs more FOH staff due to there being 3 floors and I believe there was only 2 servers and a host present, which is a lot of work on just three people. As a result, service was slower than I anticipated, but of no fault to the staff that was there, just a lot of people and very few folks working. This place is really cool. I ordered one of the specials (a Hoisin coated Veal Chop) and it was incredible. The cheesecake was also really good! For good bang-for-your-buck pricing, I reccomend going from Tuesday to Thursday from 4 - 6 PM. They have half price Small Plates if you sit on the third floor at the bar.

We enjoyed a wonderful work Christmas party on Friday evening. We loved our private room, we were able to enjoy a cocktail before sitting down for our meal, and the setting, service and ambiance were stellar. If you're looking for a great place to host a small group in a private setting, you won't be disppointed.

We finally got to visit this amazing place and it was worth the wait! We had delicious food in the most amazing environment! We loved the intimate individual dining areas, each with their own ambiance with cozy fire places and gorgeous decor. Jenna did an awesome job as our waitress! After our dinner on the second floor, we went up to the third-floor and sat in the comfy couches and had drinks in the unique bar area. We will be back and we recommend this place to everyone!❤️🍸

Restaurant review: Great atmosphere at Social at the Stone House! Be sure to check out all 3 levels!! It looks like a small Castle or a mansion on the outside. The inside has magnificent art and decor and has a wonderful comfortable feel to it. I tried the shrimp cocktail, crab cakes, the salmon paired with wilted garlic spinach and flatbread chicken barbecue pizza. Excellent spice to the shrimp cocktail which is different, crab cakes were wonderful lump crab paired with an aioli sauce, great flavor. The flatbread pizza had a good amount of toppings, cheese and a nice kick. The salmon was okay it was a bit overcooked. I give the appetizers an 8 and the entrees a 6. Overall good food, great atmosphere and service, nice vibes. #YourFavoriteFoodEnthusiast

We returned to The Social at the Stonehouse last night with a group of 12, and it was an incredible experience. Even with a large group, the service was extraordinary — attentive, smooth, and never rushed. I had the Parmesan chicken, and my boyfriend ordered the elk; both were tender and full of flavor. We also tried the strip steak, which was cooked to perfection and absolutely amazing. From the food to the drinks to the service, everything exceeded expectations. The Stonehouse itself is a beautiful building, and the stunning Christmas decorations made the evening feel even more special. The food was delicious, the vibe was great, and we had a wonderful experience overall. We’ll definitely be back and would highly recommend it if you’re looking for an upscale night out in a beautiful setting.

Food was really good, we had the chicken breast and lamb chops. Drinks were also amazing. Dessert "brownie" was something special. The atmosphere was also very unique and special. If you have that special occasion for that someone special, this is a place to go. Or if you just want a good meal...

Ate here with a group of 8. Loved having our own private room. Most restaurants anymore are so noisy it’s hard to have simple conversations during a dinner. Atmosphere was outstanding. We were invited to look around. The bar on the top floor was so warm and cozy. The atmosphere of the entire restaurant is superb. It is a little pricey, but the quality of the food makes it worth it. No one in our party had a bad meal! My spare ribs were so tender and flavorful and the 3 people who ordered the pork chops said they were the best they’d had in a restaurant. Our server Katie, did a great job. She really knew the menu inside and out and could answer all of our questions. If you go you must end your meal with the binets. They were yummy!

First time visit for date night and did not disappoint! The highlight for us was the relaxed atmosphere, our table was on the third floor where we could relax in the comfortable lounge area with our drinks till our food was prepared. The short ribs and wagyu burger were over the top, Spencer was very informative and attentive to answer our questions! We will definitely be back again!

Came here for a girls night out with my mom. Food was AMAZING! Service was great they even turned the fireplace on for us outside to finish our drinks which they did NOT have to do. The atmosphere is amazing it’s such a cool place inside and they had live music on the 3rd floor which was great. If I could give it more than 5 stars I would. Locally owned businesses are always the way to go!

You need to try this place! Beautiful old building with excellent food and service. We had the feta appetizer, lamb, and chocolate cake. Easily competes with any high end restaurant in Stark County. We'll be back soon.

First time visiting social at the stone in Massilon and the reviews did not disappoint! The food was amazing, the atmosphere was elegant with a halloween vibe for the season, the drunken s'more martini was to die for and our server, Michael W., was the cherry on top of an amazing night. Would highly recommend and will definitely come back!

We went here for New Year’s Eve for the first time and enjoyed it so much! The atmosphere was inviting and unique. It felt like stepping back in time. Our server Michael was amazing and made us feel so welcomed. The food was simply divine! Don’t miss an opportunity to try this place out. Thank you for making our New Years so special!

Our company Christmas party was held here and I was blown away by every aspect of our visit! Just walking through the door makes me feel welcomed by the warm and beautiful restoration of this incredible old home. Everywhere I looked was like another thing of interest or beauty to notice. We enjoyed a craft cocktail at the bar while waiting for the rest of our party, which were fantastic. ( loved the lavender lemon martini!) We did a thorough sampling of the appetizer menu and each one was well presented and delicious. I had the strip steak with red potatoes (cooked to a perfect medium rare) Also sampled the chicken from my friend's plate. As great as all this was, it was topped by the staff! There were quite a few of us, but Micheal treated us like family while handling drink and food orders like the professional he obviously is! What a fabulous experience from start to finish. If i could post a 10 star review, I would

My husband and I went here (we didnt have a reservation) the staff were very nice and offered us different seating options. Luckily we selected the 3rd floor bar. Jackie and spencer were up there. They are WONDERFUL- fast service and they are both fantastic. The food was also fast to come out and DELICIOUS. We unfortunately had other plans and only stayed about an hour and a half- but we easily could have stayed all night. The staff were all wonderful and the food was bomb. 10/10 recommend. We will definitely be back.

We had a girls night dinner and loved it here. We started in the cocktail lounge with fun and delicious Halloween/fall drinks and then they moved us into a private room with Michael, our server. I loved the room decor for Halloween. The food was delicious, from the salads and appetizers to the large plate dinners. Special thanks to Michael, we kept him on his toes and served everything with a smile and a little sass that matched ours. Great evening all around.

We had an absolutely wonderful dinner at Social at the Stonehouse tonight. The food was excellent, the atmosphere was welcoming, and the service truly stood out. Sandy, the manager, was incredibly attentive and professional, and Katy, our waitress, was fantastic—friendly, knowledgeable, and made us feel genuinely taken care of. It’s clear this restaurant values great hospitality, and we left already looking forward to coming back. Highly recommend! It was a wonderful birthday.

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Social at the Stone House – Massillon Everything was excellent from start to finish. The meatball appetizer with crusty bread was delicious. The braised short ribs were incredibly tender, and the vegetables were perfectly done. The Caesar salad, filet, and garlic mashed potatoes were all outstanding. Dessert sealed the deal—Death by Chocolate cake and the beignets were amazing. The restaurant itself is an old stone house and absolutely gorgeous inside—warm, elegant, and full of character. It’s easy to see why they earned Restaurant of the Year. Highly recommend.

My husband and I visited here for the first time this December and it was such a beautiful place! I had to take a photo of the cute bathroom. The staff left a card on the table for my husband which was very kind. The service staff was accommodating, the food was delicious, and bourbon selection is a plus! We will definitely be back. Thanks Katie for being our server :-)

Very noisy! Wasn't good for a date night, the room was so echoey and loud it was almost unbearable. However, our server was good, the food was decent, and I would try it again-may be with friends. The filet could've used a little more seasoning for me but it was cooked perfectly and hot. Crab cakes were very good and altho I found the price to add on a salad to be rather high for how small it was, the strawberry salad was delicious.

Had dinner there recently and sat out on the patio. The layout was nice, but the service could have been more attentive. We had the tator tot skewers for an appetizer. They were pretty solid. I had the fish special, and my son had the strip steak. Both were decent. The strip was thick and prepared well but not a lot of flavor. The live entertainment was great and we really enjoyed ourselves. It was blazing hot but fun. For dessert, we had the doughnuts with extra caramel. They are served hot and did not disappoint. I will give them another try.

This is a newer local restaurant in a beautifully remodeled turn of the century home. The menu variety can accommodate any palette. You definitely need a reservation and if you don't like climbing stairs this is not the place for you. The staff works together well and service is leisurely but efficient. The parmesan frites were a pass for me, they were cold and tasteless, but accompanied a perfectly cooked steak. Loved the wilted spinach, short rib sliders and the yellow fin tuna was sublime. Awesome cocktails. The gluten free carrot cake was a pleasant surprise and we actually preferred it to the cheesecake and chocolate cake. Very clean and social distancing is observed.

Very good food! The steak, chicken, vegetables, shrimp and scallops were all deliciously packed with flavor. I still can't believe how quickly it came out too. Our server was polite and didn't visit us overly often. Felt a little weird at first, like eating in someone's nicely decorated house, but I got over that quickly. I'd come here again. I didn't notice any happy hour specials on the menu, but mixed drinks, beer and wine are available to order. I would come back here. Reservations can be done straight through Google Maps. Very convenient!

We were very excited to try Social! We made reservations online for a date night on a Wednesday. When we arrived, we were greeted and seated on the second floor. Each section of the mansion is beautifully decorated while maintaining the integrity of the original structure and the gorgeous woodwork. If you love old, stately homes, you will not be disappointed. Our server was extremely personable, attentive, and knowledgeable about the menu. We started with drinks. My husband had a mocktail made with ginger beer, mint, and orange juice. It was delicious. I started with a limoncello with vodka - also very tasty. We ordered the chili lime salmon for him and the boubon-glazed pork chop for me. OMG, the flavors were perfect! After dinner, we explored to the 3rd floor, then down to the first, and then out to the patio - all I could say was "WOW"! We loved it there so much, that we bought our son and his wife a gift certificate for their own date night. We will be back! The only downside to this gorgeous property (and the reason I am not giving it 5 stars) is that it is not ADA compliant. There is no ramp for wheelchairs or walkers, and the entrance steps are a little tricky. (I have a disabled brother who would love this place.) I was told that we could access the patio, if needed, and dine outside. However, there is no easy access to a bathroom if you are wheelchair bound or on a walker from the patio. So, for all who are able to walk, this place is PERFECT! Thank you for a lovely date night, Social!

Just had dinner for my husband’s birthday. Food was absolutely amazing and the atmosphere was great. Our service, however, was extremely lacking. I don’t know what judgement our waitress made about us before the meal even started, but she clearly didn’t like us. She took our drink orders, which were served to us by a friendly bartender. We then didn’t see our server for a while and when she did check on us, her face clearly gave away that she had forgotten about us. We ordered crab cakes (amazing), which were delivered by a food runner - again, super friendly. Even said happy birthday to my husband. I had to ask him for silverware because our server had not brought any, and he returned with it quickly. Our server then took our order and noticed my water was half empty. She said she would be right back with more. I never got more water, even after finishing dinner and desert. Additionally, we learned that the restaurant had specials only after she read them to another table. Our plates from our appetizer were bussed by the owner, who later ate next to us with friends and had to ask the server to read the specials for their guests. The specials sounded great… I probably would have had one of them had we been told about them. 9/10 experience because the food spoke for itself. Oh, and my husband LOVES carrot cake… it was Gluten Free and still delicious!

Beautiful place! We were seated on the second floor, which was cold. We both ordered steak, which was delicious! The Brussel sprouts....Wow! They were the best ones we've tasted! *Cheesecake not recommended.

First time visiting the restaurant and the food was amazing as was our server. Unfortunately there was a very large party on the third floor and our table was the only table not there for the event. The restaurant did not make mention that the rest of the floor was reserved for an event which left us in a very crowded and extremely loud environment ruining the once cozy atmosphere. For the price and caliper of the place I would expect prior notification and alternate arrangements to be made out of curtesy.

C
Christian Biddle

It was just okay. The atmosphere was very nice, but service really fell short. Our server was friendly, however, she forgot our drinks completely. When our food came out, we asked the food runner who ended up grabbing them for us from the bar. It was clear that they had just been sitting there so they were watered down once we got them. The food was good but for the price I expected a little bit better. I would try them out again in the summer when the patio is open but probably not for a full dinner. I was disappointed.

R
Rob Aneshansel

This was our first visit to the Stone House as we are celebrating a special anniversary. Nice atmosphere. Halloween decorations were a little over the top but not a big deal. Crab cake appetizers were tasty. Server removed the appetizer plate before we could finish and never announced the specials that we heard with the server at the table next to us.. Shrimp and salmon were overcooked and very dry. We were there over 2 hours and had to wait for each course. Probably will not return as this was a disappointing experience.
