I was visiting my grand kids in Farmersville and my daughter took all of us out to eat. We drove to McKenny to the Texas Road House. The place was really cool looking. Looked like a road house outside and in. They have a long refrigerator with a see through glass full of all the different kinds of steaks that they offer so you can pick the one you like. They all look so good. There was a long line. It took about 30 minutes. Once we sat down and ordered, it didn't take long before we got our food. The food not only looked good but was good. Waiter was super. It seemed like they stay busy every Sunday. They handle it great. They know what there doing. Had a wonderful dinning experience. So if you want a casual steak dinner, it's the place to go. Oh, they also have pork chops, chicken fried chicken and lots of great sides and deserts. Hope you enjoy as much as we did.
Food was great, and the service was fantastic. The server (name tag -- Vicki G.) was so outgoing and friendly. She made sure our dining experience was pleasant. I was in need of a To-Go meal and she was so helpful making sure it was packed and ready to go at the perfect time.
Love it! Always great flavor, food is quick to arrived, servers are nice and if you go on your birthday, they will sing Texas style 🤣
it was sooooo yummy but our service wasn't very so yummy a woman named Karen erupted from the restroom stalls and started jumping me I cant explain the stress and anger that lady caused me and how crazy she was. She beat me up and the employees joined in and also beat me up. I will sue all Texas Roadhouse. And I will become the corporate owner of Texas Roadhouse and take over the world. Thank you. P.S. the lady in white is me on the right. xoxo, Shannon mcfanny❤
It was my firts time here, the food was great also the service. We waited around 30 min for our table on a Thursday around 5 pm, so it wasn't that bad. The only thing to say is the cooking point of the meat. If you like it, more juice go for the medium rather than mediumwel ( it was to dry). Rather than that, everything was great.
Fantastic food, timely and efficient service, outstanding positive atmosphere. Great for best steaks in town. Very receptive to Veterans. God bless all the Texas Roadhouse staff and managers and cooks. Super good!!!
Best Texas Roadhouse experience so far 12 ounce ribeye Salad with blue cheese What can I say… this is by far the best value and one of the tastiest steaks you can get. The ribeyes are always packed with flavor, tender, and cook perfectly. The salad comes on a chilled plate, ripe cherry, tomatoes, fresh crisp greens, the egg and cheese complement everything perfectly, and the homemade dressings are superb (LOVE the blue cheese) Lyza was great too! *highly recommended*
Roadhouse is always a go to for the family. The meals are priced so fair and all their portions are great. Our favorite appetizers are the cactus blossom and the chili. You can never go wrong with a steak at Roadhouse of any cut. Of course the Roadhouse experience has to include their famous rolls and cinnamon butter. You could just eat them for days!
We came for my son’s birthday and had a wonderful time. Called ahead and got on the watch list. The wait was short. The meal was great. I had a filet with loaded baked potato, a salad, rolls, and raspberry tea. My son had the sirloin with shrimp, baked potato, and salad. We all shared a blooming onion too! Top it all off with Strawberry Cheesecake. Flavor overload. But the very best of all was our waiter Zach. No mistakes, prompt, friendly, courteous, attentive, and I go on and on. He gets six stars. Thanks Zach and the Texas Roadhouse.&
Stopped in for an early dinner and wow were they busy! Our server (missed her name, sorry) was very busy and taking it all in stride. Good food, great service! Merry Christmas!
Jaden took care of my daughter and I on 10/28/25. His service was incredible! Excellent attitude and attention to detail, he didn’t miss a beat! We appreciate your hospitality and will definitely be back!
Went to Texas Roadhouse as usual for NYE. Not sure why, but today was especially busy for a table before 5pm. I didn’t care, because - NYE. It is what it is on NYE. What I didn’t expect was the exceptional service that we received from Kayla. She was especially attentive, friendly and responsive, and we tipped her accordingly.
Today was my son's 8th birthday and he wanted to come to his favorite restaurant. They made him feel awesome. The Service was top notch. Our server was great. Jaden was great.
I ALWAYS have a great experience when dining here at this Texas Roadhouse in McKinney, Texas! My wife and I visited here on Mothers Day and both ordered the 12oz Prime Rib (mine was medium rare), loaded mashed potatoes and season rice. Prime Rib was served to perfection ... tender, juicy with lots of flavor. We also had deep fried pickles served with Ranch dressing as an appetizer. Our waiter was helpful, gave us information on the meats being served and was kind all the way through our meal.
I’ve had many 16 oz Ft Worth Ribeyes, some good and some not so good, but this was excellent. Right amount of fat content and almost zero gristle. And, you better hold on to this chef...cooked to perfection! "I'll be back!"
I went to this restaurant on a Sunday evening at 7:00 p.m with my husband. We joined the waiting list when we were on my way to the restaurant and was quoted a wait time of 25 to 35 minutes. Upon arrival at the restaurant about 15mins after joining the waitlist, we were informed that my wait time was between 15 to 20 minutes. After 20 minutes, we got the alert that our table was ready and we were immediately served with the warm rolls and spread. The server came to us about 2 minutes later and asked for our orders. We got our ordered food about 15 minutes after the order. The server offered more rolls while we waited for our order. The steak was excellent. It was my first time of ordering mushrooms and jalapeno and onions on top of my steak for extra $2 and it was well worth it. The food Portion was so large that we had to take the rest home.
The food is always great those guys in the kitchen definetly know what they're doing for sure but I wanted to give a shout out to Eddy this guy is one of the very best servers I've met at the Table he was punctual, polite, and patient and had our food get to us with crazy precise timing keep up the great work Edward your customer service skills are too notch and greatly appreciated
I LOVE a good Ribeye with no pink because I can still get it well done and juicy. Lately I have been let down at other Roadhouse locations/places, but Claudia was amazing in ensuring my expectations were exceeded and I got exactly what I asked for! I am so glad I came today and this will be my new Texas Roadhouse home!
We had the best service that we’ve ever had at this location from Austin! He was awesome! Always checking on us and keeping our drinks filled. He definitely puts in the most effort!
Amanda served my family. She was great. It was as if she anticipated our needs before we could ask. She elevated our experience for sure
Stellar service from the bartender, Tatum! You can tell she loves her job and she handled a full bar and the well like a pro! Dinner was delicious and even the manager Justin stopped by! Love to see it! Keep it up TX Roadhouse McKinney! I’m a huge fan!
Ordered pick up online. Was ready by the time it gave. Immediately parked in the to go parking spots walked in gave my name. They immediately grabbed my order and double checked with me to make sure everything was correct. Which is rare and amazing. Gave plenty of butter and ranch for our rolls and fries. Made sure to ask if I needed any steak sauces to go. Got home and everything is delicious.
Wait staff takes excellent care of your needs. Prices are reasonable. Love the rolls & butter served before the meal. Bag of peanuts are the icing on the cake.
Had dinner here with a party of 7 on a Friday night so we expected to wait, not too bad though. Our server, Christi was the best. Considering how busy they were, Christi was attentive, sweet, and quick! We all really enjoyed the food.
This place was really good. The waitress took really good of me. The food was very delicious. The sweet tea was delicious as well. Food was all good priced for now day prices my opinion. I will definitely returning in the future again
Great service from Tristan and we loved the food! It was great to be able to get dinner in a timely manner. We used the app to hop on the waitlist and the way they ran the host stand was super efficient. I’ve work in the service industry for about 15 years and it was awesome seeing how smoothly this place ran(at least in the customers eyes) 😂
I come here all the time and always have great service but tonight was somehow even better than that! Our server josh was so friendly and gave such genuine service!! he said he just started and it was a shocked to me with how great the service was!!!! food was great as always! :)
We came in recently and had Lilly as our server. She was great very attentive, kind, and made sure everyone at our table was taken care of. Overall, an excellent experience. We’ll be back! 😊
Texas Roadhouse is always consistent at delivering a superior dining experience. I’ve been to this location multiple times and have had a great experience each time. The food was hot and came out of the kitchen quickly. I enjoyed the steak and shrimp + the loaded baked potato. Our servers name was Chris and he delivered a wonderful experience. I will always come to this location. Thank you Roadhouse!
This place is amazing -- I can’t even describe it in words that befit it - we waited 20 minutes to get a seat on a Sunday afternoon . Our waiter Lee was nice we started off with the best rolls I have ever had in my life served with cinnamon butter - we were offered refill Raspberry /Strawberry drinks by the awesome waiter while waiting for the main course. The kids had colouring sheets and pens to keep them distracted and the Apple Pay machines doubled into a gamer for the kids. We had Eye ribs And Stake ; sizzling well done Texas style served with mushroom sauce onions and fries. The kids had Mac n’ cheese with mashed potatoes. This brand needs to be expanded to London and across Europe. I’ll let you in on a secret, we have que in chicken diner places everywhere in London but not Stake - A whole new world awaits you -I can’t wait to see it everywhere not just in Texas and LA. Bring on some Texas Roadhouse I had an awesome and exhilarating time here. We got you!!! Absolutely 5 star service and outstanding food. Thank you for an amazing time Texas Roadhouse ; I can’t wait to be back!!!. We see what you do. We feel you! We got you - Everyone needs to experience it to believe it . Now go Global from Texas, LA , NYC to London Paris, Dubai, Doha - the world awaits Texas Roadhouse. Awesome stuff ❤️🙏🙌🏼
Our bartender Skylar truly made the night. Not only were the drinks top-tier, but they took the time to ask what we liked and made thoughtful recommendations. Friendly, efficient, and clearly passionate about what they do. That level of service is rare, very impressed.
While prime rib initially was stringy and tough, a quick chat with server and manager resulted in a new serving that was fork tender and quite tasty. Always our go to place for a carnivore experience ! Pro tip - get the app and/or access the website to get placed on virtual waiting list. Ours was 30-40 min at 7pm on a Sunday evening (and the place was packed with people flowing out the door waiting!). All told we still had about a 15 min wait once we checked in on arrival (beats the 45+ min for walk ups !)
Texas Roadhouse is the best popular priced Steakhouse that there is. This location is the best one that I have ever been to. I normally get the Fort Worth ribeye medium rare. This time I changed it up and went for a 16 oz sirloin. It was absolutely excellent! The baked potatoes are always very good and they do a nice job with their other sides too. The onions and mushrooms are good if somewhat salty. One thing that is off menu are the fried mushrooms, which are absolutely excellent! One thing that I am fond of is the cowboy atmosphere, it's not for everyone but it sure works for me!
Had a wonderful time talking to my husband at dinner. A simple mistake was made in placing our order, but it was fixed before we knew about it. It increased our wait time for food, but we honestly wouldn't have even noticed. The staff was friendly and accommodating making sure we were despite the inconvenience that wasn't an inconvenience to us. Thank you so much for your service and I am glad the mistake happened to us and not at a customer that would give you a hard time about it.
The manager, Nick and our waitress Angel did a wonderful job. We came on a very very busy Saturday night. The food was wonderful. The service was great. The place was clean and the manager. Nick stopped by and greeted us and made sure everything was perfect. I will definitely come back very soon and would definitely Refer. Food was amazing. Service was great.
Texas Roadhouse is an amazing spot if you’re craving top-quality steaks and a warm, welcoming atmosphere. The sirloin is tender and juicy, cooked to perfection every time, while the ribeye is rich, flavorful, and simply melts in your mouth. One of the surprising highlights is the seasoned rice—it’s absolutely delicious and complements the meats perfectly. The Caesar salad is also worth mentioning: fresh, crisp romaine, creamy dressing, and just the right amount of Parmesan and croutons. Beyond the food, the service is truly exceptional. The staff is friendly, attentive, and makes sure you feel right at home from the moment you walk in. Whether you’re going for a casual dinner or celebrating something special, Texas Roadhouse never disappoints.
Wanted to celebrate the day with a steak... Then I got there and couldn't make up my mind...steak or shrimp.... So a compromise was in the making... Yum Yum... Nom... Nom... Nom! Awesome service, delicious food and perfect atmosphere... Between 3:00 p.m. and 5:00 p.m. they have an early dinner special... Don't miss it! ☺️

I recently visited Texas Roadhouse and had the 8oz sirloin with shrimp, which came with two sides. I chose the baked potato and Mac and cheese. Overall, the sirloin was good and the price point was reasonable. However, the shrimp was not up to par as it was cold and just okay. The baked potato was decent, but the sea salt was a bit too much for my liking. The Mac and cheese was just okay as well. The saving grace of the meal was the rolls with the delicious cinnamon butter. Our server was great and provided excellent service. While I was a bit disappointed with some aspects of the meal, I would still consider giving Texas Roadhouse another try and would remember to request less salt next time.
Food was typical for steak. Not top tier but definitely great for the price point. The wait can be REALLY long depending on when you go, so be aware of that, but the atmosphere is so much fun, I’m sure the time will go by quickly
i have ordered to-go from this location 4 times this year, and 3 out of the 4 times they have forgotten the extra 1/2 dozen or full dozen order of rolls i pay the additional $3 or $5 for. i have been naive enough to not check INSIDE the bread bag as they (usually) pack your order in front of you, but man. as if losing money wasn’t bad enough, realizing i wouldn’t have extra scrumptious rolls for breakfast hit worse. to the peeps who order to-go: make sure you get all your rolls, ESPECIALLY if you paid for more! regardless of this though, this location is great. the to-go specialists/servers are always so sweet and offer a fountain drink when i have been waiting for a while. they deserve ten stars. since my money didn’t get me extra rolls, i hope it went to tipping and taking care of those kind souls <3
My pulled pork and loaded potatoes were excellent. Mac n cheese was cold and rolls burnt, even 2nd ones. We reserved for a large crowd and got put 4 booths so not a lot of visiting. Just a busy place so good for a group of 6 or less I think. Was nice, music nice, good food.
Place has slowed down considerably, was always reliable. Online checking said 10 to 20 min. Didn't get food on the table for an hour and we ordered when the drink order was taken. No busier than any other time we have been. Have changed the checkin area and it is slower. If this was our first trip I would not be back. My youngest had to leave before we got served. Not Happy. Please get it togeather.
Food was on par. We are repeat customers. The waiter wasn't as attentive as others but overall was good. We had a party of 5. Chicken Fried Chicken was pretty good. I also got the seasoned rice because it's good as well. I still don't know what seasoning is in the rice. It tastes like chicken stock and parsley with some other seasoning.
November 18, 2024 ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ 🌟 Texas vibes all the way! 🌟 Love ❤️ that this location isn’t as cramped as the remodel in The Colony 🙄. Parking is SO much better here 🚗—the lot is actually usable, unlike the cramped triangle setup in The Colony. As always, the steak 🥩 was cooked to a perfect medium—just the way we like it! My wife and I split the 12oz Texas Ribeye, along with a loaded baked potato 🥔 and a salad with ranch 🥗. Everything was delicious and sharable. Oh, and those rolls 🥖 with cinnamon butter? AMAZING 😍—they’re basically the reason we come. Service could’ve been a bit more consistent 🤷♂️, but the welcome staff did a great job making us feel at home. Overall, a fantastic experience! Yeehaw 🤠!
It is a part of widespread network of grill-houses. My 3rd visit to the network (different places). I had to meet with friends and this place is so loud that you barely hear yourself. So to have a conversation I recommend to select something different. They have live line at the entrance and you can’t order a table for the specific time. It is an issue for disabled people. Staff were nice and helpful. In general, steaks are great. You have big choice of different meat. As always I took a t-bone and didn’t complete ;) . As a compliment you have peanuts and buns with butter.
Husband and I arrived at 4:30 (late lunch/early dinner). Peanuts are now served in a bag. Glad to have them back. Rolls are always a favorite! We both ordered prime rib, baked potato and side salad. We split a side of grilled shrimp and also a side of mushrooms. All staff was friendly and food came out timely. We had plenty of leftovers. Solid meal for the price.
Great food, great customer service, rustic feeling, and good country music soaking the atmosphere. The bread rolls are to die for and make you get a second serving even if it means you get a takeaway for you main meal. Wait time was pretty short on this Saturday afternoon even though it was a full house. Food takes about 15 mins to come, so prepare for that. The full ribs is a recommendation. It's a juicy experience of tender bone detaching yummy ribs.

The service is fast and friendly. The food is fresh. The steaks are cooked properly the baked sweet potato with the works is so good like dessert.

We were lucky enough to get our party in fairly quickly. The food is great and the prices are reasonable... but OHHH those rolls! Always enjoyable, no matter which Roadhouse we visit. Good job!
Great wait staff! Great atmosphere! BUT.. Steaks used to be on point but last 5 visits they are always either under or over cooked. I always order medium, hardly ever get close to medium. Fried pickles have been burnt the last couple times. Chicken fried steak was horribly burnt. The floors under the tables were horrible with piles of food and trash under them. And they were out of most of their beers. Not sure what's going on but management needs to get their staff together and change some things before they start losing business. I wonder if they are taking advantage of the fact they've been busy for so long. Edit: visited again this weekend 8/25/23. Steaks were cooked great this time. Fried Pickles were great, all the food was great. My only complaint was the lack of beer selection. They advertise beers with signs on the walls that they never have, and the beers we got this evening (draft Dos Equis) were awful. I swear mine was some sort of light beer and they got it mixed up. The limes the bar gave us were pathetic too, pretty sure they were cut in the morning and sat out all day. Please get the bar back in stock and eieclean your draft lines or swap out any old kegs. Or get bottled beer back in stock for all brands you're offering because your draft beers are usually nasty.
We normally go to the Texas Roadhouse in garland off of george bush. However last night we were in the area and decided to go to this one instead. The service wasn't as good as what we normally get at the garland location but it was fine. However when we ate our leftovers at home we discovered the rolls were completely undercooked and still doughy on the inside which was really disappointing. We noticed when we got to the restaurant the person preparing the rolls, that you can see through the glass, was on their phone and charging it right on the prep table. Which to me seems very unsanitary, considering people often take their phone to the bathroom with them. It wasn’t a big deal to me at the time but it makes sense now.
My pork chop was half done, pink inside. I found out halfway eating the pork chop. I sent it back. When it returned, still some pink. When I complained, I was told they always do it this way. The quality seems to have went south. Will not be back for a while. My recent visit Jan 2020, quality & service was good.
Usually this is a good place for steaks. However, thus time it was not. I ordered my steak medium but got medium well. And part of meat fell apart as it was spoiled then cooked. Also, it was my son's birthday and we asked the waitress if they do anything for birthday, she replied no. However, a few tables from us, the wait staff gathered at that table and sang happy birthday to that group. We did voice this with the manager.
It truly saddens me to write this review, as I have never had a bad experience at any of the Texas Roadhouse locations. I ordered some food to go to after work today. I ordered Country fried chicken, sweet potato, and fresh vegetables. The chicken wasn’t good, the sweet potato was fine, but the broccoli was extremely overcooked and mushy and the carrots were hard an dry. And the rolls!!! Noooo!!! Not the rolls!!! They were hard and did not taste fresh. I even ordered and extra 1/2 dozen and I don’t even want them. I mean, come on, the rolls are what drive us there. I am truly disappointed.
The service was good and we were able to get in quickly. The food however...my wife and daughter ordered the 6oz sirloin and I ordered the 8oz. The steaks were cooked perfectly to medium rare but they were tough and chewy. We were all surprised that out of the three steaks mine was the smallest. There's just no consistency here other than them being over zealous on their portion control. Very disappointing.
Texas Roadhouse gave what it usually gives that down-home energy and familiar comfort food vibe. The bread stayed undefeated (as always), but the service this time felt a little off rhythm. The food came out decent, not bad at all, just missing that “fresh off the grill” spark that keeps people coming back. The atmosphere stayed cool country tunes, laughter, and a good crowd but a little more consistency would take it from average to fire. Louie K’s Up real reviews, real respect. I rate with honesty, not hype. 💯🔥
We generally love Texas Roadhouse and have been to multiple locations many times, including this one ~10 times. The food is usually excellent. However, our last two visits have not been good, and we won't be going back. The time before last (a few weeks ago), our steaks undercooked, and we waited a long time for the steaks to return. Yesterday our order was not taken correctly, we waited a long time for appetizers, then for the entrees, and then longer for two dessert orders. The place was not overly busy, and there was plenty of staff. Very disappointing! They also decided to install a shelf unit between the waiting area and the bar area in the middle of the afternoon, using a hammer drill and a cleaning chemical that were very annoying to customers. They should have done that before opening to customers. This location has lost its way. Customer service is not a priority. We're not paying those prices for that kind of service.
Food was okay. I had high expectations for steak but it was so salty. Not sure if it was the cook but this place is overly hyped. Jalapeño bites were salty as well. The only good thing was the bread. Service was great. Staff was nice. Love our waitress Atmosphere was busy. Music was perfect.

It was freezing in the dining room. We asked the server to turn off the fan above our table. It took 3 other server requests and a talk to a manager to make this happen. It's always very crowded and it seems like the service lacks because of this fact. The food was even cold! I'm not sure if we will be returning.
Check your to go orders before driving off. I ordered my steak medium rare and got well done instead, it was too chewy to enjoy will definitely dine in next time instead.
We went to celebrate my husband's birthday and the waitress named Laura was really rude, she didn't take the dirty dishes right away, she never had the courtesy to offer the team to sing happy birthday to my husband. The food was good.
My family and I decided to eat here to celebrate my birthday (11/10) as well as my brother-in-law. Prior to visiting this location, I placed a call and joined the waitlist for a birthday party of 8. When we arrived at the restaurant, the table was not ready. Once we were seated, we were seated at a table that had not been cleaned. There was lettuce and french fries still on the table and seating. The waitress arrived promptly and took our order to which she asked if we were celebrating anything. I responded and told her it was my birthday as well as my brother-in-law. This is where things get weird. About 3 tables were given a birthday song by the staff, so we were excited for when it was our turn. The manager approached our table to check on us, and I asked if they still do desserts for birthdays to which he responded “Unfortunately, we do not however we can embarrass you”. I responded “we’ll take it!”. We assumed that this meant we would enjoy a song as well. We later received the bill, paid and tipped. No song. I approached the manager as we were leaving and he stated that he hoped I enjoyed the rest of my evening which I replied “Yeah, I thought we would get a song”. The manager proceeded to tell me that he “does not personally do songs” and asked if I told my waitress. I reminded him of the conversation we had at the table in which he insinuated we would be celebrated. My father then stepped in to explain what the disconnect was. The manager continued to use the excuse that he “does not personally do songs so he’s unsure what happened”. I have never experienced a manager who continued to dodge accountability and throw his own server under the bus. He did not apologize for the mistake or forgetting to honor what he initially told us. In what world does a manager not manage the staff and ensure guests are properly served? Seems as though the manager just has the label but not the duties. As a native Texan and daughter of a veteran, we have always loved Texas Roadhouse; however, this was by far one of my least favorite experiences.
I’ve been a regular at this restaurant for quite some time, which is exactly why I feel compelled to finally speak up. Over multiple visits, I’ve consistently observed one employee, Skyler, displaying rude and unprofessional behavior not only toward certain customers, but also toward fellow employees. This includes constant eye rolling, visible frustration, and an overall hostile demeanor. Until now, I chose to ignore it. This most recent visit, however, crossed a line. While seated at the bar, Skyler abruptly snatched my friend’s card off the table in an aggressive and irritated manner. The interaction was uncomfortable, unnecessary, and completely unacceptable in a customer service setting. I understand that everyone can have an off day but this does not appear to be that. This behavior feels habitual. When a regular customer can repeatedly notice the same negative attitude, it’s safe to assume many others do as well. The constant eye rolling and visible annoyance create an unwelcoming environment and reflect poorly on an establishment that otherwise has a lot to offer. This is something management or the owners seriously need to address. No customer should feel uncomfortable or disrespected simply for being there.
Our waitress was very good. Too bad the food was not. My fries and burger were cold. My husband's steak was not tender and was not right off the grill. The shrimp were not fully cooked. They were clear and white. It's like they held our plates back. It wasn't even busy enough to warrant someone not delivering our food hot. Won't be back. I don't know what the hype about this place is all about.
I normally love Texas Roadhouse. Tonight I ordered a rack of ribs, steak fries and buttered corn. I didn't get a container of buttered corn. Instead, there are seven kernels of corn sprinkled on my ribs. We called about it and the guy asked what I wanted him to do about it as if he didn't want to be bothered. Maybe an apology for starters. The food is good as always, but the service was not.
4 of us went for dinner. I got the chicken fried steak with house salad and steak fries, salad and fries were good. Cream gravy on cfs was kinda sweet and left an aftertaste and the steak was thin and chewy...yuk! My mom got the beef tips with green beans and corn..all of the above was freaking GROSS!!! She had a few bites a d then just couldn't stomach it. My daughter got the All American burger and Mac n cheese. The Mac n cheese was like kraft...from the store🙄 and the burger wasnt cooked to her request, onion was like a sliver, and the taste was off. My husband ordered the 12 oz ribeye, it was like 1/2 in thick filled with grissle🤢 and little flavor.
Better off driving to Denton or Northlake for the good Roadhouse experience. Host at the front couldn’t care less about you and look at you like you’re annoying them. Servers that only come by three times but will bring you a paper receipt to hurry you along when they have working tablets at the table to pay from. Fries were nasty and burnt. We won’t be back to this location.
I really wanted to like it here. But the food overall was pretty bad. My boyfriend took us here for my birthday. The wait to be seated went pretty fast. About 8-10 minutes. Considering the sheer amount of people here, that wasn't the bad part. It was the half hour wait for the food. We ordered 44 dollars in food, but the fried onion was free because the waitress forgot to add it to the order. I'll be honest here that I was really hoping the onion was good but turned in out pretty bad too once it did show up. It tasted like the grease was a little old, and too much black pepper on the seasoning itself. The steak was overcooked for a medium. The fries were like cardboard and the cheese on them were comical. The salad was pretty bland. The burger was dry. My mashed potatoes had cheese hairs added to the top instead of it being melted. The added mushrooms to the steak were too salty.b the only thing I liked here tonight was the mango tea which reminded me of an aloe vera drink I had in my teens. It wasn't worth the price. The waitress was nice though and they do have a large menu so I'll give them that. The music is also pretty loud in the bathrooms. Overall I probably wouldn't come here more than once in a blue moon.

Please change the name to KENTUCKY ROADHOUSE - Your giving Texans a bad name. KENTUCKY based Texas Roadhouse has THE MOST EXPENSIVE ROLLS IN TOWN!!! ***Read the other reviews and you will see how disconnected these folks are. People are offering legitimate concerns regarding not getting food and experiencing bad service. The response from Texas Roadhouse often thanks them for coming in and then they say hope to see you soon. WOW!!! Did not even acknowledge the dissatisfaction. Some get acknowledged This permeates from the CEO and President to the restaurant level. I reached out to the general manager the next day who would not come to the phone. I reached out directly to the CEO & copied the President but no reply. Below are my notes to senior management regarding only our last visit. ***I did not get my dinner. I received my Chicken Fried Steak with the check. • We were seated while the bus person was still cleaning the table. The table was soaking wet, and there were still crumbs on the back seats. • Waitress greeted us quickly and presents as friendly. • She offered drinks promptly but failed to anticipate refills. We sat with no beverages multiple times during dinner and had to ask for refills. • Also, never hold someone’s drink from the top where they drink from. She did! Thank you for the straws. • We had to stack our dishes and hand them over. Pre-bussing is not a thing. This is a big deal; not many people like to sit with dirty dishes. Additionally, if the wait staff and the support staff are paying attention, they will do this automatically along with drink refills. This streamlines many processes and helps turn the tables faster – resulting in more revenue and a better dining experience. • I saw wait staff going back and forth without anything in their hands or even checking with other tables on their way back. This lacks efficiency. • No beverage napkins were used, so our drinks just dripped all over us and dripped on our food as we took drinks. That is not really very appealing. • One of the waiters set another table’s food on our table because they were out of space to place things while they gave the people at the table across from us their food. Wow! • Although she was very nice, we could not hear the waitress over the noise. We told her this but she had one voice level – low. She repeated the order twice and she left the table with all of unsure of what we would get. She did get the order right. I didn’t get my dinner. • After the food was delivered, by the time there was a follow-up to see if anyone needed anything, and if things were right, the food was already cold. My guests were waiting for my food to arrive out of respect and good manners. One of my guests played it off by saying, 'We're not going to start without you.' We are not animals. Yes, I was able to get them to eat finally. • One of the table support staff (actually one of the folks who busted their tails working and focused on the customer) was helping at one point and just kept saying no problem. Choice of words is important so don’t illude that a request could potentially be a problem. • The Ranch Dressing delivered with the appetizers had developed a skin from sitting out that was about 1/16 to 1/32 inch thick. Not an appealing presentation. • The manager came when the check was presented. First thing out of his mouth was to blame the kitchen. WOW! Then he thought that by comping the Chicken Fried Steak they brought wrapped would fix a bad dining experience. I didn’t even want it at that point; and stated the same. A soggy chicken-fried steak – no, thank you. He couldn't comprehend that everyone at the table shared the same poor dining experience and only apologized to me; they ate cold food. He kept saying I don’t want you to leave feeling like you had a bad dining experience. My guest already ate without me; and we can’t go back in time. He mentioned comping the Chicken Fried Steak multiple times like that was going to change an entire evening. PS.I am a former restaurant manager and trainer.
Owner of Toyota of Irving. I chose not to stay after experiencing poor customer service. The staff appeared unprepared and unsure how to assist when asked simple questions. I had intended to leave a generous tip, but the lack of professionalism changed my mind. If you value good service and respect, I recommend taking your business elsewhere.
Sadly, I would’ve given a five star review, but the sassy hostess at the front is not nicknamed sassy for no reason. Shania, maybe spelled wrong not sure. You need to remove her from your hostess sand. She’s the first thing that you experience V had a reservation and we had three of us there out of five and they would not C us and they were open tables so with a reservation, we waited 20 minutes. I asked her to go go get a manager she said yeah sure and never did because I never spoke to one. The server was good so I do not want to take this review in that Direction whenever you make reservations the point is to get seated. It was five people that’s it. There were open boost and tables and when I asked her if we could be seated, we have reservations that’s three of us here she wouldn’t even let me in the eye she was looking down and she kept saying it’s our policy. It’s our policy as if she’s some sort of a robot and I said usually they allow you to sit when you’ve got more than half your party here she did not care one bit about us taking time to make reservations. It was a business luncheon. She did not care one bit that we were standing and waiting. The reservations were made. I have arthritis in my feet. I have neuropathy. I have bone spurs standing is painful. There were three of us out of five there I would rank her not even a one. I am a marketer and this is what I do for a living. I am the owner of Next Generation Brands & Shimmering Property Management and this is not what you want as a business. It’s a customer center of world.
I visited Texas Roadhouse last night with my family. There were five of us, and we were seated at a corner table. At first, our server and the young girl she was training both seemed friendly. The trainee approached us politely and apologized for the wait, which we didn’t mind at all since we were enjoying our time together. She asked if we were ready to order and explained that she didn’t want to take the order without her trainer present because she didn’t want to get her in trouble. The trainer had gone to the restroom, so the trainee said she would go find her. We saw her walking around looking, and after about 5–10 minutes she returned and said she still hadn’t found her, so she offered to take our order anyway. She apologized in advance if she made any mistakes, but she repeated everything back to us clearly — and all of it was correct. Shortly after, the trainer returned, and it was obvious she was upset. When the trainee entered our order in the system, the trainer kept giving her odd looks and questioning her. At one point, she even came to our table to ask if what the trainee had entered was correct — which it was. It felt uncomfortable and unnecessary, but we understood the girl was still learning. When the food came out, my order was wrong — I received ribs and shrimp instead of ribs and steak. I mentioned it, and instead of the trainer addressing the mistake calmly, she immediately blamed the trainee in front of us, repeating, “I didn’t take your order, I didn’t take your order,” as if to make it clear it wasn’t her fault. The trainee looked visibly uncomfortable, and from everything we heard earlier, we knew she had gotten the order right. Throughout the rest of the meal, we noticed the trainer ignoring the trainee, walking away from her, and the trainee following her around looking stressed and overwhelmed. My husband later walked by the trainee, and she apologized to him again, saying she was sure she had put the order in correctly and even showed him where she had entered it. I didn’t mind the small mix-up with my food, but I was very disappointed with how the trainer treated the young girl. The trainee was polite, respectful, and clearly trying her best — she actually provided great service. The trainer’s behavior was unprofessional, discouraging, and uncomfortable to witness. Overall, our food and the rest of the experience were fine, but I truly hope management looks into how trainees are being treated. It was upsetting to see someone who was doing everything right be blamed and talked down to in front of customers.
Absolutely the worst Texas Roadhouse I've ever been to. Customer service is awful . Had a group of 7 and they tried to sit us in a small area. Ask for a bigger area and one of the employees found a bigger table to accommodate us. Well a female table cleaner made it her business for us not to sit there. Ok well the right thing to do is to provide great customer service by finding us a bigger seating area. Instead she pushed for us not to sit there . Asked for the manager which she really didn't do anything. The best employee was the male table cleaner who tried everything to help us . He went and tried to find everybody to help us . I WOULD DEFINITELY NOT RECOMMEND THIS LOCATION !!!! TERRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE
I sent my steak back twice. I asked for medium, just like the rest of the table and got a medium well, actually almost well done. The pink was the width of a quarter. The manager brought the replacement, I cut it in front of her and made a face when I saw it was not pink. Looked at the other steak on our table super pink. She chuckled and walked away. Terrible.
My family and I have visited this location for years and I can barely put into words the level of disrespect we encountered from a manager. Not to mention, he did it with so much pride and arrogance as if there would be no consequence for his actions. My family and I arrived at Texas Roadhouse and of course there was a wait which we already expected because we had a large party of 15. We were told the wait would be 45 minutes to an hour which turned out to be about 1 and 45 minutes. Finally, our party of 15 was called and we proceeded to the table. As we approached we noticed there was trash under the table. We asked the waitress if someone could sweep under the table, which she did without a problem. We noticed that the large table in the back was in the process of being cleaned and we asked if we could switch so that we could all sit together. The waitress said, "it shouldn't be a problem, let me ask." She asked and was told it was already booked. Ok fine. Mind you, this table is basically versatile and can be used for a large party OR for 2 separate parties. The party comes in and sits down. The other side of the table is not being used. We were trying to figure out why they would divide a large party into 2 tables and seat another family with less people at that table while the other side is not occupied. Of course someone was not coordinating correctly or just didn't care. After waiting almost 2 hours, we just said ok, we just want to eat as we were hungry and coming from church. There were 3 tables in front of us. We asked the waitress if we could just use the 3 tables which she said wouldn't be a problem. As we are sitting waiting on rolls, the manager Nicholas comes to speak with us. I'm thinking he is coming to check on us since we had to wait to be seated so long and we requested the other table but to my surprise he came with another agenda. Nicholas approached us and said, "we originally had these 2 tables reserved for your party and you can't come back here and do what you want to do. One my Uncle's approached him and tried to explain to him that we did not fit into the booths comfortably and we wouldn't have any room to eat our food. My Uncle is a peaceful man, and he didn't approach him in a hostile or aggressive manner. We honestly thought this was something that can be worked out because we didn't think it was a big deal and definitely didn't see it escalating to this point. Nicholas then stated, these booths seat 8 people and if you can't accept the reservation we will have to leave. My other Uncle asked him if he was a man of God. He did respond and say, "what does that have to do with it." My aunt then tried to say something, and he responded, "I'm not talking to you, I'm talking to him." He didn't offer us any type of accommodation, nor did he try to rectify the situation. His rectification was just a basic take it or leave it. He was not open to discuss as we tried several times. He even told my Uncle, "At this point, it is not open for discussion." He said this after we waited 2 hours only to be made to leave. We are loyal customers there was no reason for him to treat us this way. We spend hundreds of dollars when we come and whatever waiter or waitress assists us is definitely taken care of. Customer service is everything and if you don't care to provide it, you are in the wrong business. I don't want to say it was a race thing. I'm going to say it was an ignorant thing. I definitely would not expect this type of behavior from a manager. Totally unacceptable. What bothers me is how he treated us as if he didn't want us there because he was only satisfied with us leaving. I say this because that is the only option we were given.
Went to dinner with 3 of my friends. Call me old fashion but isn't the appitizer suppose to come out first? When a restaurant brings dinner, isn't everyone suppose to be servered all at once, not each person in 10 to 15 minute intervals? Our dinners came out one at a time (10/15 Minutes separated from the others. When one person was finishing, the next plate would come out. We were all thirsty due to no refills so I got up and went to the wait station, grabbed the pitcher and refilled drinks at our table and the drinks at the table next to us; since I had the pitcher they asked. About 5 minutes after the last meal was brought to the table we recieved the check. We were charged for the appitizer we never recieved. When I said something to the waitress about removing the charge for appitizer we didn't get, she brought the appitizer to go and the check! Since she brought the appitizer and charged us for it, since we are leaving and the appitizer is to be shared, I asked if she could put in four to go boxes. Although I was being a little silly and lighthearted due to the circumstances, I was told no she can't do that. The reality was nobody wanted the appitizer at that point. The evening was not a total loss. The table next to us that I poured the water for tipped me $10 dollars when they left and thanked me for the great service, stating it was the only l service they got. I put the $10.00 on the table he had been sitting at because he said he wasn't tipping the waiter. On the way out the host asked how was everything. I said not good. He said sorry and that he would get the manager but that he was busy in the kitchen.
I was not happy with this location. We were on the waiting list for a party of 8 at 6:30 PM on 11/5/25. They have a policy that you cannot be seated unless your entire party is present and we were okay with complying with this policy. So they called us at 6:30 PM asking if we were ready and we told the no because 2 of guests were stuck in traffic. They said well we are not busy just let us know when they arrive and we will seat you. At 7:00 PM we went in there and told them that the guest were 15 minutes out and that we had 2 elderly people with us and they were getting cold and thirsty and asked them if we could be seated. The young lady in red shirt was very rude and looked at me crazy and made no effort to accommodate us. Anyways I other 2 guests should up at 7:15 and then it was like we had just put our name in and we had to wait until 7:30 PM to be seated. I won’t go back because of the young lady hostess in the red shirt on 11/5/25.
We arrived around 10 PM and had a very disappointing experience. My boyfriend ordered his steak medium rare, but it came out well done. After sending it back, we waited again only to have a different steak brought out and placed on the table undercooked. By that point it was about 15 minutes before closing and he still didn’t have a properly cooked steak. We spent nearly an hour total waiting just for one steak to be cooked correctly. We ended up paying and leaving frustrated. Very disappointed with the experience
Food was good, however we had a margarita that had plastic pieces inside. We reported it to the server and they stated they'll inform management. Management never came, we checked with the waitress again and she said the manager was busy on a customer phone call. Waited for the manager and still never showed up. Just paid and left. Didn't finish the Margarita for obvious reasons. Steaks were great though. Another issue is we only saw the waitress a couple times and it was hard trying to get anyone attention.
I have been a loyal Texas Roadhouse customer for many years. This review is for the Central Expressway Mckinney location. We I entered the restaurant I asked to be seated at a booth and stood and waited to be seated, the restaurant was no where near full. When the seating staff took me to a table I told the person I request a booth. I was told no booths were available and were for larger groups. Like I said the restaurant was no where near full and there were empty booths everywhere. At that point I felt like I had been insulted and told the person I would just leave and eat somewhere else. I will never return to this restaurant location. So I left and drove to Longhorn Steakhouse where I was seated in a booth by courteous seating staff and had a great meal.
The waitress Celeste was awesome, but the food was terrible. The mozzarella sticks were not fried correctly, they were undercooked. The fried fish was not fried hard enough and I didn't taste any seasoning on it. The Caesar salad dressing had a mayonnaise taste to it. My son in laws shrimp was cold, let's just say I will not be going back.
10/10 service… 0/10 food. I ordered a ceasar salad and green beans. The green beans were okay. I wish they didn’t overload my salad with ceasar dressing. After I ate the ceasar salad and got home I had the worst food poisoning of my life. I couldn’t sleep and kept throwing up. Would not recommend their food at all.
At the McKinney Texas Roadhouse, the food itself was good, but the service provided by Laura left much to be desired. Despite politely asking her to clear our plates, she delayed and did not remove all of them. The steak was served half-cooked and not prepared as requested, which was disappointing. Additionally, no water refills were offered throughout our meal. Rather than attending to our table, Laura seemed more focused on taking new customer orders, leaving us feeling overlooked. Overall, the lack of attentiveness and quality service significantly diminished our dining experience.

Mckinney Roadhouse: Great Steaks, Service Needs a Tune-Up
Ah, Texas Roadhouse in Mckinney. It’s a spot many of us have relied on for that satisfying, hearty steakhouse experience. When you’re craving a serious carnivore meal, it often comes to mind, and for good reason—their food can be truly excellent, often delivering on that promise of a fork-tender cut. Take, for instance, their prime rib. While there might be an occasional hiccup, like a stringy start, the team here seems ready to make it right. One recent diner noted a quick chat with the serv...
