Great traditional restaurant in central street of Malgrate. The food is authentic, not spoiled with any artificial tastes, fish dishes from the lake menu exceptionally good compared to other restaurants around Lecco, it is a good dining experience. Service is kind. They prefer reservation with phone, not web and speak English so I recommend tourists to call the restaurant for best seats.

Make a reservation!!! The gnocchi I had here was the best I’ve ever had, it melted in my mouth. My other friends had the ravioli and some pastas and loved them. We also had some wine which paired perfectly with our meal and the overlook was gorgeous. If you don’t make a reservation you will probably not get a table so book in advance (I booked it the day of)

This was one of the best meals we had during our 2 week stay in Italy. Daniela was welcoming and attentive. Every dish exceeded expectation. The view was phenomenal. 10/10 would eat here many times over.

The place is on the river of the lake. They have outdoor seats. Snails with polenta are really tasteful. The service is nice and welcoming. Nice place where enjoy a good meal. I would recommend to come at lunch time.

Having had a great evening in Osteria a couple of days back with good food and service we went again. Weid. Very slow.. 1 hour wait for main course and not busy. And food generally not enjoyable. Fish pate lacking proper taste & if anything tasted stale. Steak great, but potato dry & fungi taste detracted by accompanying sause.. couldn't eat it. Artichokes v good. IPA & wine great. What an extraordinary mix. Overall won't be going again though.

Tagliatelle and gnocchi were very nice, and I appreciated the option of a half bottle of wine. Unfortunately, the overall experience was ruined by extremely slow and chaotic service, even though the staff tried to be polite. Timeline of the evening: • 20:30 – arrival, ordered water • 20:50 – ordered wine, food, and a cocktail • 21:10 – owner taking Instagram photos of the full restaurant • 21:20 – drinks finally arrived • 22:00 – food finally served Dessert was a big disappointment – not tasty, frozen. Even though the main food was good, the service experience was horrible. They had to manually count prices from the menu because they didn’t know them, and even charging us took 5 minutes. On top of that, they add a cover charge, which I consider absolutely ridiculous. Good kitchen, but sadly I would hardly come back because of the service.
