Ojeda’s has the best cheese enchiladas and beans anywhere. I really like their homemade hot sauce too. I believe they are now open for lunch and dinner Wednesday through Sunday. Don’t pass it up when in Menard. Service very good too. Enjoy!
From the moment you walk in the door you feel like your at grandmas. The smell from the food just reminds you of your childhood. Everyone is friendly, now let’s talk about the food , it’s fresh, it’s great. My compliments to the chef. I had the three cheese enchiladas my wife had the beef enchiladas that came with a taco and a bell pepper filled with ground meat and topped with cheese. I highly recommend these dishes but from the aroma coming from the kitchen everything is delicious.

Excellent service and great food. Clean bathrooms and family-friendly environment. We will be regulars.
The food's very good, the service is friendly, and the prices are reasonable. THEY ONLY ACCEPT CASH OR CHECK. NO DEBT OR CREDIT CARDS.
Having been bornded in Menard (we left in 1952), I was anxious to get back after living in SoCal for 65 years. What a great experience to partake of a dinner that almost replicated what my mother, Beatrice Quiroz Alcoser, used to put on our table! The quizado was AWESOME. Now I'm in Tennessee, where I'll prolly be deaded sometime, but at least I'm a LOT closer to Ojeda's. Thanks Cousin Priscilla & husband, Mike for the great treat.
Passed through on our way to Waco, it opened at 5:00 PM but wanted to call and confirm. The woman who answered let us know that they were closed but if we wanted to come up to the window and order something she could accommodate. The bean and cheese tacos were DELICIOUS (I’m a vegetarian) and my boyfriend said the steak quesadillas were great. We both agreed the chips and salsa were fresh and overall tasted great. Would highly recommend stopping by if you are passing through.
The food here is delicious! The chips and salsa tastes homemade, and the enchiladas tastes like my grandma's cooking. I would always come back when i pass through.
Best mexican food I have had in years. Excellent service and good prices. Top shelf rates a 7 not just a 5
We loved our lunch! The sweet tea was excellent. My quesadilla was outstanding. And our waitress was very good. Glad we stopped!
My wife and I eat here every hunting season. We love the steak fingers but all the food is good. We highly recommend it!
Always great food and friendly service! Across from the Bowies convenience store. Very clean!

Just passing through...very clean tables and floors. Fresh and tasty French fries. Waitress (Britney) did a great job...friendly and the best customer service. Food was just like cooking homemade taco...rice was bland, needs more cumin and tomato sauce 😋. Gravy on enchiladas was delicious.

We stopped in as we entered the town of Menard on our way to San Antonio. We seated ourselves and were promptly welcomed by our young waitress. She was friendly and attentive. After our food came, she checked on us multiple times. Our meals were very tasty, including the delicious homemade french fries, which were steamy hot...unless you are quite hungry, one order is enough for two people. There were two waitresses and they were in constant motion serving their clientele...with a smile. Ojeda's is clearly a place where the locals come to eat and visit and catch up on the news. We enjoyed our visit and I recommend it.
The only reason you don't get 5 stars is due to no queso. But I do understand in a small town it's not feasible to make it. Food is good wait staff is good no complaints here
I think this is the only restaurant in town. Prices are VERY reasonable and the food appears to be prepared fresh when you order. A VERY NICE place to take a break.

They don't take debit or credit cards..have no clue about the food. Cash only went out many moons ago..that's why they got a 3 from me
The food was good, but it took 45 mins for us to get our food. Customers came in after us and got their food way before we did. The kitchen needs to go by orders not who walks in. As a guest to this area I was very displeased with the service.

You're a trapped patron of Ojeda's since it's the ONLY restaurant in town. Food is a 2.5 star, service on most days is a 3. Have more than 3 tables full the whole experience is a 1.5. Never offer to refill your drinks, even putting them on the edge of the table doesn't raise a flag to the over worked servers. Not sure who the owner is but she might want to show up and view the service her customers are getting. Well, since it is the ONLY place, guess she just doesn't care.
Food was very simple but good to the T, and the atmosphere was nice the staff was always around great service n food time was fast . I went in again and i ordered a burger with a tea and the amount of everything was so retarded I will not want to ever eat here again bad price .
I will start with a few positives - 1. There was a parking space for our rig. 2.The place was clean and inviting. 3.The waitress was efficient and nice. Now for the food. The only thing that had any flavor was the tea and the guacamole and that had too many onions. My husband had the "Mexican" steak, with consisted of a very bland chicken fried steak covered in cold salsa, which made the unseasoned meat soggy. I had chicken and cheese enchiladas (I should have just eaten chips and salsa). The chicken was in chunks and you could tell it was could tell it was boiled with without seasoning. The corn tortillas the meat was wrapped in tasted as if it was bathed in cold oil to make them pliable and the enchilada sauce was definitely from a can. The cost of the meal far outweighed the quality, our final ticket was $28.00 and we left full plates of inedible food. This place should be called Ojeda's Imitation Mexican food because there is nothing authentic about it. Save yourself time, money and tastebuds and find another place to eat.
