Houa Khong 2

Had the pork and shrimp spring rolls, combination chow fun, and a cup of broth. Everything was really good. Service was efficient, fast, and kind as well. 10 out of 10 would recommend.

I am addicted to House Khong 2's yellow curry and Thai basil fried rice. The portions are generous and one order of each easily feeds two, but I don't want to share, because I want the leftovers!

My husband and I are regulars always delicious and always happy to see the owners when we walk in because we know the food will always be the same.

The food here is quite tasty. I have gone multiple times with some friends, and were actually able to taste different plates. Overall their taste and food quality is great for the price.

Service was quick and the food was excellent. I have eaten at several Thai restaurants in Merced. This one by far is the best. I have been recommending this place to all my friends and family. They agree!

Ordered the beef fried rice and I got an unexpected surprise... It was a dining experience! The herbs, spices, fresh ingredients and explosion of flavors was more of an experience than anywhere else I've eaten beef fried rice at. This place is a gem and you can tell they take pride in EVERY dish... Can't wait to go back to Merced and have another awesome dining experience.

I got a medium and still had to take most of it home. It's delicious and tastes very authentic. I can personal recommend their beef bowl and calamari.

Food here is very yummy. So good. Its on the more expensive side but when. Its this good, well worth it. Also food come out fast.

I always come here when I visit my family because I cannot fathom never having it again. Pairing the beef Yum Neur sauce with their sticky rice is also heavenly. I promise you’ll never have anything like this place anywhere.

Going in I thought it was Chinese; guess I should have looked at their sign more thoroughly, but Thai was the next best thing. The lunch menu had mostly curry, which I'm not used to, but the hostess was helpful in choosing a quick lunch. And good thing too, because 5 minutes after ordering, small groups of people started to fill up the small establishment. My food was much sweeter than the garlic taste I'm used to when it comes to Thai cusine, but it was welcomed nonetheless. The only thing that was an issue was the size of the vegetables; the broccoli and carrots were too big and should have been cut smaller.

The pad thai was ok. Not really that good though imo. The duck was ok for an area that doesn't serve duck so this place will do. The larb taste just like anywhere else. The fried rice was kind of greasy and wet. If it was dryer it would of been better. I would say 3 and a half stars.

Best pho by far and also their kasoy is so good!! Alot of flavor in their broth!! Would be nice if they had a tv inside there and alil bit brighter!! Or else i would of given them a 5star!!

The food here tastes pretty good. I feel like it's not as authentic as other Thai restaurants. But it is tasty and they give you a lot of food for your meal, kind of expensive tho. Averaging around $10/entree. Their spice level is kind of weird and they pretty much just add a bunch of chili flakes to your food. It didn't bother me personally, but if you don't like that, don't ask for spice.

The staff was very attentiveness friendly, service was fast and efficient. The food however was a cut above the rest. They had possibly the best Tom Yum I've had in a very long while. This was my first visit, I'll have to explore their menu again in the near future.

The food is good, however communication is very difficult. I keep asking her about the specials and she's not very clear on what they are she will not tell you what the difference is between the soft noodles and the crispy noodles in fact. There is an extra charge for soft noodles. But where we come from real Chinese restaurants give you soft noodles with some crunchy noodles to go on top, how you doin.

Well business is business authentic is authentic food. To me food cant be rushed. It doesnt matter if your poor or if your rich. Service or customer service needs to be right eye to eye contact with their patrons. I thank them for how GOD lets HIS sons and daughters hear what they need to hear.to obedient to the LORD JESUS CHRIST. GOD BLESS, JESUS 1st....

The Pepsi tasted weird and she said she got it out of the can so the ice must have been funky. They ran out of rice noodles for the spring rolls so they used pho noodles instead. Which was okay but not what it should have been from the menu. The egg rolls were more like lumpia and they were okay. The service was non-existent. And the place could use an overall cleaning. It was good enough for a Wednesday night and we wanted to try something new but it's definitely not a place we would go out of our way to go back to.

I paid $25.00 for a fried pompano fish and when I got home, I opened the tray and it was tilapia fish. I was not willing to drive all the way back to the restaurant or bother to call in. I think that I over pay for a stupid Pompano fish. I can do it myself but I just dont know why I go get it. its horrible mistake I made. I will go there and will not rate it. do not deserve a star.

I walk in and the worker didn’t even greet me or say how many people. He just said, “what would you like, do you know what you want to order already?” I said, I’m eating here by myself since I’m on my lunch and haven’t ate all day. He said you can sit here or in the back room.. he never smile at me and when my food came... it was really cold and the noodle where hard.. I’m never coming here again. I recommend people not to come here. This place is dirty and they have no customers services, maybe that is why they don’t have any customers!!! Overall, worst pho place in Merced!!!

Had pad Thai. Was curious to see how the new owners would change the recipe. Used to be the best with the old owners. Thai tea and pad Thai was noticeably different. Sad to say have to start looking for a new pad Thai spot
