Nunca había comido platillos cubanos y quedé con una grata experiencia. La comida estuvo muy rica, en especial la ropa vieja. Y la guarnición de arroz y frijoles con un sazón muy sabroso y distinto a lo mexicano. Las bebidas también bien servidas. El servicio es muy bueno. Son amables y alegres. Y el ambiente también nos pareció muy padre, en especial con tanta naturaleza. Los precios muy adecuados, unos 300 por persona. Sin duda de lo mejor que nos ha tocado en Mérida.

La pancetta y las costillas de cerdo son imperdibles. Ha sido la mejor costilla que he probado en mucho tiempo. Carne suave que se deshace en la boca con una salsa exquisita. Excelente elección de música. Definitivamente volveré h definitivamente deben probar este lugar.

I’ve recently relocated here in Centro from NYC and have been dining at this wonderful Cubano restaurant for months. Chef Jose Ortega makes the most mouth watering ribs, ropa vieja, fish, pulpo and most everything on the menu. prices are very reasonable, the staff is attentive and the live Cuban music (guitarist/bongos) are the real thing. Overall, terrific experience - I highly recommend eating here. Me mudé recientemente al Centro desde Nueva York y llevo meses comiendo en este maravilloso restaurante cubano. El chef José Ortega prepara unas costillas, ropa vieja, pescado, pulpo y casi todo lo que hay en el menú riquísimos. Los precios son muy razonables, el personal es atento y la música cubana en vivo (guitarra y bongós) es auténtica. En resumen, una experiencia fantástica. Recomiendo ampliamente comer aquí.

Una joya escondida en Mérida. La comida es deliciosa, sabores únicos y que combinan muy bien entre si, como el arroz al coco con camarones o el cerdo con salsa BBQ con piña. Los meseros atentos y serviciales, la música en vivo es un plus, música cubana y bebidas también muy buenas. Lástima que llovió y no pudimos estar en la terraza la cual se ve muy agradable. Recomendando!

Vine con mi esposo a comer algo después de recorrer el parque La Plancha y el Museo Ferroviario, teníamos mucha hambre y el patacón de la casa, el platillo de ropa vieja y el arroz chaufa nos salvaron ♥️ Pedimos naranjadas minerales 🍊 y el patio de atrás está muy bonito y fresco en las tardes de calor. Las porciones son abundantes y la zona es muy linda :) definitivamente volveríamos a comer aquí porque nos atendieron muy amablemente ✨🤌🏼

La Bodeguita del centro o también aún hay personas que la conocen como Casa Cuba, ofrece bebidas y alimentos que te sorprenderan por el sabor y con precios muy accesibles. En lo personal mi bebida favorita de bienvenida es la limonada de fresa por sus ingredientes naturales y servido en una Copa linda. Te sorprenden la combinación de sabores,como un plato de camarones con plátano y los postres. Hay presentaciónes de cantantes con voces tan hermosas que pareciera que te transportan a Cuba. Pero por sobre toda la grata experiencia, la atención personalizada y profesional de Marcos que toda la velada estuvo pendiente de nuestra mesa, superando todas las expectativas. ¡Gracias por la atención !

We were delighted to find this wonderful spot tucked away in the center of town, but you could easily forget that you were in town as the walled garden in the back provides you with the perfect place to relax. Our server Javier was a delightful, friendly man, ready with a smile and offered us a lot of information, allowing us to practice our Spanish. He made us feel welcome as soon as we got here and his suggestions allowed me to enjoy a beer I had not tried with a little lemon to sweeten the deal. The food was amazing, so much so we had to send our compliments to the chef and he kindly came out to say hello. I highly recommend that if you have the chance that ypu come discover this little oasis for yourself. Thanks again for everything

This place is very welcoming! The staff is very sweet and attentive. We got limonada y naranjada and espresso! Both drinks were delicious!! And for our appetizers, we got the ceviche that chicharrón . And for our entry Arroz Chaufa and Arroz a la guajira!! Wow!! Full of so much flavor! One was Cuban inspired and one was Peruvian inspired! Both had so much flavor but I think if you get an appetizer one of these rice dishes can feed two people comfortably so you don’t waste food but if you have an appetite you can def have your own plate!! Highly recommend

If you’re looking for a fantastic authentic Cuban restaurant, this is the place. They even have Cuban cigars available with the best Cuban food I have had in all of Merida. You are beautiful with an inside and outside area with the most gorgeous trees. . Great service and even better staff. This Texan recommends. 😊

So even though we’ve never had any authentic Cuban cuisine before, the food here was so delicious. We got the chicharron ceviche, the half chicken with chimichurri, and oxtail. The chicken was tender and flavorful and oxtail was falling off the bone. We got 2 rounds of cocktails and they were all good quality. My boyfriend said it was the best piña colada he ever had. There was also great live music and the staff were very attentive. :)

The food was flavorful and margaritas were great here! We got the half chicken, which was tender and seasoned well, the chimichurri on top was good too! We also go the patacones, one of my favorite little side dishes from my time visiting Colombia and they were just as good, if not better. They also had live music which added to the vibes. Highly recommend trying this place.

This is a lively, family run Cuban restaurant serving up delicious, traditional cuisine. With live musicians playing danzon, and warm, welcoming staff, the atmosphere is the perfect setting for an evening in Merida. I ordered the Ropa Vieja and it was DELICIOUS! The meat was so tender and the sauce is was cooked in was rich in flavour. The portions are quite big so bring your appetite:) I also think the mojito was the best I’ve ever had. I would 1000% recommend this restaurant and would absolutely return whenever I am in Merida again.

Never did I think that would have a life changing experience with pork- but here I am. This place is incredible. I had the costello de cerdo which is the best pork dish I’ve had in my life. My husband had ropa vieja- which he was excited to say was better than mine (and I make it often). The atmosphere was so warm and inviting I assumed everyone was family- there was even live music. I am so sad to be leaving Mérida soon because I’ll miss this place.

All must try this cuban, Columbian mixed cuisine. Fantastic cocktails and they also have regular drinks all for reasonable price. Must try the smoked octopus(main) and plantain shrimp(starter). Presentation was really good. Spent approx $70usd in total with two rounds of cocktail for that's worth atleast $250+ in USA

Our waiter, Oscar, was exceptional—warm, attentive, and genuinely made us feel taken care of from start to finish. The food was absolutely incredible—every dish packed with flavor, beautifully presented, and clearly made with love. The drinks were just as impressive, perfectly crafted and paired with the meal. What really made the night unforgettable was the ambiance. A small, chic band played live Cuban and Latin music just a few feet away from us, adding so much soul and energy to the evening. It wasn’t over the top—just the right touch of magic. The entire staff was kind, professional, and welcoming. You could tell they took pride in their service and the overall experience. Casa Cuba is a hidden gem we stumbled upon on a lazy Sunday afternoon. The all-you-can-eat buffet was a culinary delight, with every dish cooked to perfection. The live band added to the beautiful vibes, the girl can siiiing!!! Ahhh! Loved it so much. Drinks were great! I had the mojitos. Cozy atmosphere made us feel like we were at a family gathering in someone's backyard. We can't wait to return and indulge in their delicious Cuban fare again!

An unexpected dinner experience....completely by fluke. It offers a buffet for $250 pesos all you can eat with full porketta, veggies, salad, and 1 drink. The service was superior, and this night (sunday), they had a lovely band playing local favorites, and they were really good. We stayed for a few hours and enjoyed our time there....I would recommend this place as it's not too expensive and that's a plus!

Listen, this place has been open for a year now. From the street view, it may not seem like much, but trust me, it's worth a visit. Step inside, find yourself a seat, and order a refreshing cerveza Clara. If beer isn't your thing, go for a mojito instead (and on Sundays, they even have a two-for-one deal). One of the things that sets this place apart is the live music that fills the air. As you enter, you'll notice that the restaurant is impeccably clean, and the staff, including the servers and hostess, are incredibly friendly. The whole crew makes you feel like you've just walked into the warm embrace of someone's home, instantly becoming a cherished member of the family. The layout of the restaurant is well-designed, with an open floor for dancing and tables thoughtfully spaced out to ensure you never feel crowded or uncomfortable. Now let's talk about the food because it is absolutely fantastic. Even as a super picky eater, I was blown away. I highly recommend trying the ropa vieja, served with white rice and crispy yuca fries – every bite was a delight. Trust me on this one, you gotta give it a try!

We ordered: pollo chiflao, bistec encebollado, and pechuga a la plancha. We drank: the house light and dark beer, a mojito and a piña colada. For desert we shared flan and an espresso. All items we orders were excellent. The staff was incredibly polite and attentive and the environment was comfortable and lush. I would eat here weekly if I could. Highly recommend.

A taste of home I longed for! Moved to Merida 5 months ago and was dying for a home cooked meal. We had bistec encebollado, ropa vieja and pechuga a la plancha for my daughter. The black beans were delicious and so were the mojitos. I finished my meal with a desert de fruta bomba which topped off my perfect meal. The backyard space is nicely decorated and spacious. Looking forward to returning for the live music.

Bien ubicada, su ambiente es muy bueno, la comida deja que desear para lo que uno espera y la atención es buena. Bonito para ir después de las 5 que bajo el sol. Su patio es muy bonito y los mojitos lo mejor. Si tuvieran una área con aire y abrieran a la una en vez de a las tres creo les iría mucho mejor. Lo que es una pena es que el grupo cubano que toca en vivo solo lo haga viernes y sábado. Que son los únicos días que hay gente, según comentarios de ellos. Yo creo mayor publicidad y más dias de baile mejorarían su entrada. Lástima porque el lugar es muy bonito en la terraza. Los mojitos excelentes y buena la atención de los meseros. Por cierto si no tienen música en vivo, por lo menos un buen sonido de fondo con música cubana estaría excelente...ya que un radio hace ruido en el patio, eso es triste.

Supongo que fue porque llegamos demasiado temprano (2:30 pm). El lugar muerto, muchas opciones del menú no estaban disponible (entre ellas las costillas, camarones, pescado, cervezas...). Y lo que había en el menú sin "punch". De los 2 arroces, solo 1 estaba disponible y le faltaba muchísimo sabor. La carne de las brochetas seca, los mojitos con más azúcar que licor. Lo único rescatable: arroz con frijoles. Servicio lento a pesar de que literal éramos la única mesa del lugar.
