Highly recommended. something that they taught me when trying to compensate the gesture: "You should not reward something that should always be done"

Great place for a drink. Usually classic rock music or live bands. The "house tequila" is amazing and probably the best price on the city. Great Limonade too 🙃

Friendly Bar just off the main square that was never too crowded. They make an excellent guacamole. The beer prices are cheap and they have several beers that are local to the Yucatan. The staff is helpful and tolerant of people who do not speak Spanish. This is an excellent place to get a cold drink and rest your feet if you've been walking around the Grand Plaza for a while. They also have a record shop there and a tattoo artist.

A great street bar for live music and dancing. Some good IPAs on offer. We liked the WCIPA. Sunday night was fabulous.

Going for beer and live music is probably fine. Everything else I wouldn't really recommend. The food is at best mediocre. But this is also tolerable. My highlight is the fellow waiter who hates his job and expects a 20% tip by default. My tip to him his, start to doing the basics of your job properly and you'll get higher tips. Complaining about the tip will not increase it. Spilling the customer beer and not even cleaning up speaks for itself. You want to be tipped like in the US, start providing service like in the US. Besides that the toilet is disgusting.

Service was trash! The waiter dropped our drinks off and never returned again. Spent the entire time talking and playing games on the phone with other employees. Then we walked up to them and asked for the check to pay. When I paid the tab, he decided to give himself a 10% tip WITHOUT ASKING ME IF I WANTED TO TIP OR EVEN HOW MUCH. I DIDN’T NOTICE THE TIP UNTIL I ASKED FOR THE RECEIPT BECAUSE WHEN I TAPPED MY CARD IT WAS WITHOUT THE TIP. All this to say, make sure you check your receipts if paying with a card. WAITERS DON’T DESERVE A TIP FOR TRASH SERVICE.

Never felt so uncomfortable in a gay bar. I just said hello, ask for a beer, and heard that little smock saying. "He is a foreigner" Never again, I travel to Merida once a month. Delorean Bar, doesn't know how to train the staff to make you welcome and undescrimated.
