Preparando al futuro chef
Buen nivel educativo
La mejor universidad.
Excellent school to study at. I'm really satisfied with what I've learned, and I've put several dishes into practice in my business. I highly recommend it.🥗
Excellent service, too bad they closed it.
All the students are excellently prepared, the facilities are top-notch, and the chefs have a formidable knowledge of their subject.
It's a culinary institute with classrooms and several well-equipped kitchens where students can practice their skills by preparing a variety of dishes. It's very well located, has a cafeteria, secure access, and the building is not only beautiful but also bright and clean. It's a great place to learn about gastronomy, and the staff is friendly and helpful.
Excellent school and facilities, very well treated by the staff
Excellent educational institute for the gastronomic area, very good facilities.
Among the best schools, the chefs are excellent. For those of us interested in certain culinary areas, they offer a wide variety of courses at very affordable prices, and the instructors are top-notch.
Deberían dar demostraciones de sus creaciones culinarias
Buena calidad.
I would describe my experience studying the diploma program as bittersweet. Specifically, the Diploma in Sweet Arts. The excellent part: Professor Maira is an expert on the subject, and her explanations and advice were always extraordinary. The bad part: Cooking is done in groups, not individually. Obviously, the school does this to enroll more people and save on ingredients. In practice, while one member of the group is learning how to make ganache, the other is washing tons of dishes and hasn't learned anything. The worst part: On the day the certificate was presented, my name was misspelled. I returned it to receive a new one, and I was left without a certificate.
It was the first culinary school I was interested in for my studies, but they didn't accept me because I have disabilities. Time passed, and my mom found a school that accepted me. I completed both degrees and a diploma in food and beverage service. I'm happy that I have official SEP (Mexican Ministry of Education) certifications. I returned to Mariano Moreno and was interested in the first diploma program in advanced baking and pastry. They accepted me because they consider themselves more upscale than the competition, but I prefer the chefs at the competition; they explain things in more detail and provide SEP certifications. I hope my experience is helpful.

They wouldn't let me continue my studies because I had an accident and I was in a wheelchair... discrimination!
It's truly a shame that only now have they realized what a terrible director the Coapa Institute had. I was a student there from 2013 to 2015. He never allowed students' opinions; he always made excuses for not listening to anyone. He hired professors with little experience to teach theoretical subjects, and when good teachers came in, they left because the Director supported students who didn't want to study, and the academic level was very poor. I, along with other classmates who already had a bachelor's degree and whose sole objective was to learn gastronomy, not only in practice but also in theory, tried to speak out and propose ideas to improve the system, but the Director never listened to us. When we finished our degree and had our diplomas awarded along with all the schools, the comments from ISMM COAPA were very negative. I have no doubt he was a good chef, but as a director, he was terrible.
I wish I'd never gone there. I spent so much money almost 10 years ago since I left. I wish I'd known back then what I'm reading now. It's good they just closed it. I got curious because I saw they were selling the property, so I went to investigate. What a terrible school! Expensive, they didn't provide materials, the principal was awful. What a horrible school! The most toxic school ever. It crushed my dreams, and I spent what little I had, and it wasn't worth it. 😿 And now I find out they're a fraud and didn't even have SEP accreditation. If anyone reads this, don't go to any of their other locations; it's a sham.
Terrible school, they don't deliver what they promise, they put a lot of obstacles in your way, and if you don't work their way they turn against the student, very expensive monthly fees and very bad products, the director is not willing to talk or resolve your situation January 8, 2025, they promise you degrees and careers and they will only give you a simple diploma, which takes 4 to 6 months to deliver to you
ALERT!!! This pseudo university is a fraud, it is a scam, it does not have REVOE before the SEP, my daughter lost 2 years, she was going to move on to the 5th semester and no other University will revalidate what she studied at Mariano, she had to start her degree in gastronomy from scratch... Waste of time, money and emotional blow for all the students who have been affected, Mariano's administration is a mockery, they keep lying!!!!... They will surely delete this comment, but let's raise our voices against this MEGA FRAUD!!!!
They don't have the official recognition of their culinary studies (REVOE) from the Ministry of Education (SEP). It's a scam; several people have been affected. Search for more information on terrorrestaurantesmx. Don't fall for these traps.
Very bad place to study gastronomy; they cancel courses at the last minute without prior notice.
The educational system and method aren't very practical. My mom and I enrolled in the pastry and baking program, and I was surprised when they asked us to bring extra ingredients when the school itself informed us that they wouldn't provide them. I mean, $4800 a month, each class costing $1200, and they don't even have the ingredients! They also weren't transparent with the procedures. They gave me several enrollment documents, and one of them outlined the conditions for requesting a refund. As I mentioned, my mom and I enrolled, and they NEVER sent those documents to my mom, even though they told me she needed to sign them. When we asked for a refund, they completely ignored us. Even a secretary at the school was rude to my mom and started yelling at her. I contacted the school director, but he never took responsibility. I hope they can be more transparent with the procedures, have a better way of conducting practical exercises, and take better inventory of their ingredients.
My father and I signed up for a course to learn how to make Mexican snacks. As the date approached, we didn't receive any additional information, and when the date arrived and we reconfirmed, we were informed that it had been canceled. Without any reason or advance notice, we are now in a process of nearly two months trying to obtain a refund, battling with the administrative bureaucracy of the place.
I asked for a refund because I'm not interested in distance learning. They said they would return in-person on September 21, 2020. It's been over a month now, and they haven't given me my money back. They claim they used the wrong bank. Of course, they justify it by saying they didn't get the authorization. Besides, they're going to take 20% of what I paid. The customer service from the person named Yair is terrible. She says yes to everything, but does nothing, and is rude.
I can't give an opinion on their classes but their sales service is terrible. I've been asking for reports on Instagram for more than a week and they just don't give one. Also, in case you think it's better to talk because no one answers, not by phone or by email, really, if their classes are like their customer service, they are terrible.
