My friend and I had an amazing experience at La Fontana at the Biltmore Hotel for the Miami Spice $35 lunch menu. From start to finish, everything was exceptional. I began with the soup of the day, a silky and flavorful carrot soup that set the tone perfectly. For the second course, we enjoyed the Crab Fregola — a beautiful dish with lump crabmeat, basil pesto, lemon gremolata, and toasted pine nuts. It was fresh, balanced, and absolutely delicious. To finish, I had the lemon panna cotta with seasonal berries, which was the perfect light and refreshing dessert - while she decided to go for the tasty gelato. The restaurant itself is stunning — elegant and timeless, it truly feels like dining in Europe. The fountain in the courtyard creates such a serene and picturesque atmosphere, making the whole experience even more special. Service was attentive, warm, and flawless throughout our meal. I’ve heard their Sunday Brunch is out of this world, and after such a wonderful lunch, I can’t wait to come back and try it. Highly recommend La Fontana for anyone looking for an elegant dining experience in Miami.

I think this is the most elegant restaurant in Miami. It's located in the historic Biltmore hotel. Self parking is free. I definitely recommend reserving a table in the beautiful courtyard. The food was good and had very reasonable price. I ordered the soup of the day and my friend ordered the scallop. They also have a variety of drink options, including mocktails. They also served free bread. The service was superb. We came in for a birthday celebration and they gave us free desert and even sang happy birthday. My friend didn't want the ice cream and asked if she could get cheese cake instead, and she got it. I would definitely want to come back to this restaurant again when I'm in Miami.

I can’t speak for the overall restaurant but Sunday Brunch is truly something special. Very high quality staff with professional service- extremely attentive and there to help you and actually serve. Food options are incredible and numerous. Any reviews on here complaining about how spaced out it is or bad service I definitely question. This was a special experience and I hope to do it again some day!

Had Sunday Brunch with my friends to celebrate graduation and we were sure in for a treat!! From the elegant atmosphere, attentive service, and delicious and vast variety of food ranging from breakfast staples of bacons and eggs to the more luxurious world of lobster, oysters, and caviar. Oh, and don't let me forget the carving station that included lamb chops, and steak! A large selection of sushi awaited my third plate, combined with a seafood paella. All of this and more paired with bottomless mimosas, champagne with just a HINT of orange juice! Now let's get to the dessert. WOW. From gelato (strawberry, chocolate, mango, coconut, vanilla, lime), fresh churros drizzled in chocolate, tiramisu, fruit tart, chocolate covered strawberries topped with gold flakes, warm banana bread pudding, and macarons just to name a few (lol)! For the price of $120 per person (about 160 after tax and automatic 20% tip, which is well deserved), Biltmore Sunday Brunch is 100% worth it. It truly is. You will leave happy, full, and overall satisfied. Valet is also available for $25.

One of the best brunch in Miami and the most generous and delicious food among the top places Everything taste good and all the restaurant staff are friendly, the value for the price we paid is justified by the huge buffet and the quality and quantity of the food We heard some music for very little time and hopefully that a DJ or live band can be part of the experience at this luxury place We will definitely comeback soon

The service and the atmosphere was absolutely incredible. There is no real saying at this hotel is gorgeous, and just luxurious in every aspect. To be fair I expected it to be mediocre overpriced Italian food, but I was pleasantly surprised by how delicious everything was. The cocktails were incredible. I cannot recommend them enough! Their bruschetta was my favorite part of the meal, but all the food was absolutely delicious.

My recent dining experience at the Fontana Restaurant in the Biltmore Hotel was nothing short of amazing. From the moment we walked in, the elegance of the setting and the rich history of the Biltmore, a National Historic Landmark, set the tone for a memorable evening. Our server, Edwin, was a highlight of our visit. He demonstrated exceptional service, combining professionalism with a genuinely friendly attitude. His patience was remarkable, as he never rushed us through our meal or pushed us to order individual dishes. Instead, Edwin offered recommendations that enhanced our dining experience, showing an impressive knowledge of the menu and the wines. The ambiance of the Fontana Restaurant perfectly complements its setting within the Biltmore Hotel. The restaurant's decor and atmosphere exude a sense of luxury and comfort, making it an ideal place for both special occasions and casual fine dining. Fontana Restaurant at the Biltmore Hotel offers a dining experience that is as rich in history and elegance as it is in culinary excellence. With staff like Edwin, who go above and beyond to ensure a pleasant experience, it's a place I would highly recommend to anyone looking for a remarkable meal in a historic setting.

My family and I had a wonderful experience at Fontana for our Miami Spice Lunch. The elegant courtyard setting at the historic Biltmore Hotel made for a beautiful atmosphere. For our starters, my wife and mother both enjoyed The Biltmore Bruschetta, which they said was delicious, while my Fontana Caesar salad was also a great choice. The main courses were also fantastic. The Chicken Milanese was perfectly tender, and the Crab Fregola was incredibly fresh and flavorful. The dessert course was a definite highlight. We ordered the Lemon Panna Cotta, Gelato & Sorbet, and the Tiramisu. The Tiramisu, in particular, was exceptional—the best I've ever had. Finally, our waitress was friendly, attentive, and really made our dining experience even better. I highly recommend Fontana and can't wait to return!

We hosted our son's baptism lunch celebration at Restaurant Fontana at the Biltmore, and it was a fantastic experience from start to finish. Vanessa, who helped us organize the event, was incredibly accommodating and made sure everything was perfect. The atmosphere at Restaurant Fontana was elegant and welcoming, setting the stage for a memorable gathering. The food was simply delicious; we especially loved the carrot cake we ordered from the Biltmore, which was a hit among our guests. Overall, we couldn't have asked for a better venue or better service. Thank you to Vanessa and the entire team at Restaurant Fontana for making our celebration so special. We highly recommend this restaurant for any special occasion or dining experience at the Biltmore.

Had a great stay at the Biltmore. Before leaving, I stopped in for brunch and to my surprising, it exceeded my expectations. Rafael went above and beyond to make sure I had all that was needed. He didn't forget about me and made me feel very welcomed. He displayed exceptional service that's rare to find elsewhere. He exemplifies what an individual should be doing to make sure all customers are happy. I was recommended some great drinks by Eduardo and some delicious food by Alba. Despite the rainy weather, the team seamlessly accommodated all of our tables and ensured everything was perfect. The staff was fantastic with our guests—attentive, professional, and warm. Went for Sunday brunch. Even though it's on pricey side at $90, it's totally worth it. The selection includes choices of caviar, oysters, crab legs, shrimp, sushi, carving station with NY strip, leg of lamb, roasted pork and salmon. Pasta station, charcuterie, omelet station and dessert station. It also includes unlimited champagne and a small bar celebration. Service was prompt and courteous.

A

The Biltmore has been hosting this legendary brunch for years. This was my 2nd time here and it's still worth every penny. It's $120 but the seafood section alone will make up for the cost. If you've been to the hotel, you know there's free parking. So that's one perk compared to paying for parking or valet in Miami Beach or most areas now in Miami charges for street parking. There are plenty of places to sit indoors and outdoors, and they will gladly accommodate big groups. The food selection is amazing. They have a carving station, caviar station, sushi station, salad section, made-to-order omelets and pasta, fruits, charcuterie, paella station, and tons of desserts, but the seafood section is the best part. OMG! Unlimited huge king crabs and lobster tails plus oysters, jumbo peel-and-eat shrimp, ceviche shooters, and smoked fish. And of course, bottomless mimosas are included. They don't put too much OJ and it's nice and cold which we prefer. Love this place and I highly recommend checking it out. It's pricey but worth it. Perfect for celebrations with friends and family.

Excellent service! There was constantly someone available for us, and the food was delicious. The best brunch i have ever been to! We were sat next to the fountain, delicious food, so many stations: raw (king crab legs, oysters, lobster, shrimp, sushi), caviar bar, paellas, pasta, meats (sirloin, lamb, chicken, turkey), cajun boil, omellette stations, croissants, fruits, desserts, icea cream…absolutley everything. The best part of it all, the service!!! We got as a server Taylor at first which was very welcoming and nice and attentive and then we moved tables because the sun was on top of us and taylor moved us to a different one (thank you!!) and we got vanesa and edwin, amazing people, so nice and detailed, answered all of our questions and were smiling with a great attitude, they made our brunch experience wonderful!! Amazing service thank you vanesa and edwin!!! Will definitely come back! Thank you!! Highly recommended!

A delicious dinner on a very stormy day. We were a bit late due to the torrential rain in the area but they were graciously waiting for us. The place is beautiful and you can’t beat the magnificent ambiance of the Biltmore. Front start to finish everything went very well. We started with a shared salad followed by shared eggplant parm. Portions were perfect for two ladies to share. We completed the night with a tiramisu. The waitress was very nice, patient and didn’t push us to order individual dishes. She graciously said “you can always order more if you like more food” but portions were perfect. I will be back for lunch and to eat on the terrace. Service was top notch too.

Fontana is Fantastic. Here in the center of the National Historic Landmark you will find an excellent chef and supporting cast that provide more than great service and great food. The soup of the day is always excellent whether lentil soup, chicken noodle or Italian-inspired chicken al farro, they were all extremely well prepared and left my guests and I with taste buds exploding. Take time for a night without cooking. Enjoy salads and appetizers like beef carpaccio or Cesar salad. Main dishes include pastas and meats. No discrimination here - everything is prepared perfectly! Bon appetite!

The Fontana restaurant is located right in the middle of the gorgeous and historical Biltmore hotel, with a central outdoor patio surrounded by internal dining areas. Large variety of fine Italian dishes and wines served by professional staff. It reminds me of the old-fashioned 'Miami Vice' ambience of the 80s...this gem is right in the heart of beautiful Coral Gables, the Sunday brunch is a must and the dinner is a perfect choice for special events and anniversaries.

We came for dinner and it was great. Arnel, our server gave impeccable service and no complaints. The atmosphere was great with good music that fit the ambiance. I recommend Fontana because is a classic restaurant located in the Biltmore Hotel and this is a classic gem! Parking: plenty of spots at the Hotel and valet. Prices: average and they go accordingly with the place. Place: elegant, cozy, romantic. Good for a date and family parties. Nevertheless, as a local customer who live in the Gables, these are my thoughts and suggestions to make it better... I have eaten in Fontana several times and I enjoyed the food and service much more a few years ago than nowadays. I'm not saying with this that the service is bad, it's something about the atmosphere. I felt that in the past years the restaurant in general was more "italian" than nowadays. Now, I feel that the food is more "american". My suggestion to the restaurant would be maybe to hire italian waitress and an italian chef.

I had an amazing time doing a small wedding dinner at Fontana. Vanessa helped us coordinate everything along with Desiree. The food was amazing and the service was very pleasing. Hilda (our waitress) Hilda was always available o take pictures and serve more wine. :) would deff return and recommend

This restaurant and the incredible experience of visiting the historic Biltmore Hotel is one of the reasons I moved to Miami. I have been here many times for special occasions. The service is always excellent and the food delicious. Its a very beautiful and elegant atmosphere while still feeling welcoming and relaxed. It has old world charm and is a consistent go-to which is a nice option away from the trendy and crowded "hot spots". Looking forward to visiting again for the holidays! John Byrne, Aventura Florida

Excellent! - It is a really nice place, eating with the sound of the water of a big fountain, with very good service and excellent food is always great. The carpaccio as appetizer and the cream brûlée as desert are recommended.

I came here with my girlfriend before Valentine’s Day was absolutely stunning. Best spot in Miami for a romantic dinner hands down. Food was excellent and worth the price. This is real Italian sappore, and the place was gorgeous. My girlfriend broke into tears because she is Italian and this reminded her of Italy so much. After you could walk around the place and it’s one of the most iconic and well preserved places in Miami. Very beautiful

Great value for very great food and service. Unlimited crab, sushi, lobster, and caviar. The food quality is great for a buffet, but nothing amazing. Definitely worth the price (~$120 per person).

Just went for brunch today. Haven't been since before covid and it's still a Great brunch and totally worth it. It was so hot outside they were accommodating enough to sit us inside. The food is split into two sides of the courtyard. The breakfast /dessert /Gelato is on one side. Carving station/seafood/caviar /pasta on the other side. You do have to cross the courtyard to get from one side to the other. Very pretty classic ambience in the middle of coral gables. The food is amazing! We sat on the 'meat' side and I couldn't get enough. The caviar station had 4 kinds of caviar. Seafood station has lobster, king crab legs and shrimp, paella, sushi, and the list goes on. And that's just one side. The desserts were phenomenal. Raphael was so busy with everyone wanting to sit indoors that Matthew and jossin (?) were helping. All very accommodating but wasn't sure to flag down for service. The timing of certain things wasn't always on point. At one point, I got the roast and needed a knife, but the time I got one, the meat was cold. Also my drawn butter was congealed and had to wait to enjoy my seafood before more butter came out. Jose the manager was super nice. We had no complaints. We will be back again.!!! Valet $25. All in all worth it and on par or better than any bottomless brunch buffet in Brickell or sobe.

Such a great experience! We are from Colorado and this was one of the best dinners we have ever had. The price was well worth it compared to some of the expensive meals we had had in Colorado. So so good!

Danny at The Carving Station is AMAZING! By far he has THE BEST Puerco in all of Miami! Biltmore Brunch lives to its reputation. They went above and Beyond to make my son's 25th birthday extra special. They gave us the best window table center view to the enormous pool. We went to the first seating, early before the busy crowd. Our Waiters and our Waitress were all divine. I always prefer to sit inside in case it rains. The fountain courtyard was lovely to cross to get desserts and breakfast items on the other side. There was a live Acoustic Flamenco guitar player. Fabulous! Inside They had music from the Speakeasy era! The pasta station had the best Cook-to-order Ravioli with VodkaPink sauce, not to mention the amazing Lasagna. The Paella was fenomenal. They had gorgeous a glass sculpture by the seafood station. We got lucky with perfect blue skies, amazing ambience, delicious food and a celebration to remain in our memories for years to come. After the Brunch we went upstairs to the Main Lobby to enjoy live Harp Playing near the lovely bird exhibits. Superb. Will definitely go again.

We went here to celebrate my birthday and Arnel our server and the whole team were amazing! Impeccable service, the chef is very nice and the food is great!! Worth the experience and will surely come back!! I love everything here, the scenery is very classic and historic. People were very accommodating. Thank you, Fontana!

Wonderful but pricey brunch. So much delicious and fresh food. Breakfast, charcuterie, pasta, sushi, raw bar, caviar, paella and dessert station. Be sure to ask for Hilda as your server. She was great. Make sure to go there hungry. Also I think we should have sit outside as there was live music.

Great Sunday brunch with unlimited lobsters and king crab legs. Also has caviar station and sushi sashimi station. Much better than during the pandemic. All you can drink mimosa and Bellini included.

Like lobster tails and caviar? This is the most decadent Sunday brunch you will find. Yes it will cost you about $175 per person, but it's worth it if you can eat your weight in oysters, crab legs, and caviar. How many lobster tails can you eat? Everything is top of the line and at the peak of pefection and freshness. The cold lobster tails are sweet and juicy served with warm drawn butter. Treat yourself or go for a special occasion.

We visited Fontana at the Biltmore for New Year’s Day brunch, and while the experience was pleasant overall, it didn’t meet expectations compared to previous visits. In the past, the brunch buffet felt more elevated and generous. This time, the variety was very limited, and the overall food offering felt like a step down in quality and selection. The fixed price of $55 is fair, but for that cost, we would have preferred either a broader buffet or more à la carte options to choose from. As it stands, the menu felt lacking for what should be a standout brunch experience. That said, the ambience is absolutely beautiful. The atmosphere is serene and elegant—you truly feel at peace. The day was perfect, and the indoor patio setting is stunning, easily the highlight of the visit. From an environment and setting standpoint, Fontana still delivers. Overall, it was a nice experience driven by the setting rather than the food. The ambiance carries the visit, but the brunch offerings need improvement. Also, the hostesses take their sweet time and attitude to break eye contact or even welcome guests. For that reason, we’re giving it 3 out of 5 stars.

We ate outdoors and the atmosphere felt very natural, which made the experience relaxing and enjoyable. The food was good, and the Miami Spice menu was definitely worth it. The only downside was the dessert — it was much smaller than expected. Overall, still a pleasant dining experience and worth visiting.

Very classy and great service. Pricy but is because of the area that is located, I'm sure. The food was ok, there is valet parking and the garden is worth going to for pictures or to sit outside when weather is warm

The views are 10/10 beautiful. The food was amazing, very flavorful. Very nice chef who cook the omelette👌. Took a star off because we were placed right under an A/C vent and it was freezing especially that it was raining that morning and the food got cold for the reason. Also the server was very hesitant to help us with the menu, did not seem interested in explaining what was in certain meals. I felt very uncomfortable.

This is a really beautiful spot to have a nice dinner. The food was tasty but our meals were a bit salty. I enjoyed coming here but more so for the atmosphere. I do recommend the chicken parm and the house salad was wonderful.

For me the best feature is the outside dining area, very nice, somewhat classic fancy but still very cozy, gives the impression of dining in a small town in Italy. The food is good but nothing special and the menu doesn’t have many options, and it’s also a little bit overpriced. The service was amazing, Hilda is a very caring waitress.

Nice atmosphere with very attentive service almost to much attentive service. medium size wine list with some ramped pricing. I wish there were more Italian choices to go with the theme of the restaurant. Overall, a very nice experience with tasty dishes.

I had reserved a table for 9 by phone specifying that I wanted it near the fountain. It was a special occasion therefore arranged more than a month in advance. When we arrived the table was in an ugly corner, in the shade with a wall in front that obscured all view of the patio and fountain. I immediately asked to be moved, and the wait was awkward. I didn't know how to handle my guests whether to start eating or not. After 30 minutes something starts to move. We move next to the fountain, the table cloth had a crease across the whole round table. We had to ask for drinks all the time, w-was a lot of carelessness. I was very nervous, I had a good memory of that place but that day I was very sorry. Paying $1500 to have such service, it was not pleasant. The food was very good except for the desserts, which almost all tasted the same. I loved that place, but it disappointed me. Date of brunch 12/22/2024

Food was amazing and Service was spectacular. Went for an anniversary dinner but a Family with 2 toddlers sat next to us. We never had any problems with dining next to family with little ones, it actually brings us joy, and encourages us to talk about our future. This situation was different. Their oldest kept running around the whole place barefoot, and rolling on the floor with her sister. The parents were letting them roam freely. Then the Mom decided to strip the youngest down to her diaper at the table and also allow her to crawl around the floor, and kept screaming at the table. I understand, kids will be kids, they cannot control their emotions, and they are still learning so much everyday, but I wished the parents put more of an effort to at least keep them at their table. It just really ruined the whole romantic, anniversary celebration for us.

Went for the Sunday Brunch last week. Several food options available, majorly seafood heavy. Most food items were salty. Overall, had way more tastier and better quality food in way lesser of the price. If one is a dessert lover, might like the variety of options. We travelled with 2 little ones and were seated in the room serving dessert. It was quite a travel back and forth to grab food. wish we had known earlier or had the receptionist guided, we would have preferred to be seated closer to the room serving main dishes. Servers ( several of them were taking care of us) were very attentive and helpful. Self Parking was challenging during peak hours, Valet parking costed $25 plus but was helpful in our situation.

Rude hostess and inattentive staff. 15 minutes to get a menu and water, and I had to enter the restaurant to ask someone. Sabryna is a god send but no excuse for the rest. Would have been appropriate to comp something but alas…

Recommended by local friends as a historic place to take our parents for a nice Sunday brunch, we were disappointed to say the least. The food was lackluster, the decor and surroundings were dated, old and needing a serious facelift. Service, on the other hand, was cheerful but for the most part, you could get the same service and food at your local iHop. Sure they had seafood, caviar and prime rib... But again, the quality wasn't much better than a Sizzlers. The hotel itself, while we didn't see the rooms, looked very tired... And actually a little spooky, resembling the interior of the hotel in the Shining. This place has allot of potential... But there are much better places for a nice Sunday brunch in Miami.

I visited your restaurant for Miami Spice today and unfortunately had an issue I feel is important to share. While eating, I found a piece of plastic in my food. I immediately informed my server and explained that I had stopped eating because of it. I asked to have the meal packed to go, expecting it to be replaced, but when I got home, I realized it was the exact same food the plastic had been inside. I was very surprised and disappointed by this, as I have always associated your restaurant with quality and care. I wanted to bring it to your attention so it can be addressed and so other guests don't have a similar experience.

Unfortunately not impressed at all. Will go down as one of the most disappointing because of the reputation. Went for Miami Spice lunch seating and to celebrate an occasion. The hotel was beautiful, nice pool area. The restaurant needs some serious upgrades to both the decor and service. Hotel is only 98 years old (not old by European or international standards) but the floor tiles looked at least 400 years old and not maintained. Dirty grout lines. Chairs were filthy, had not been changed in a while with layers of dirt on them. Then came the service, in a 3 course setting there were extremely long gaps upto 20 minutes between each. Server nowhere to be found. Manager and other staff members didn't seem to care. Seemed to be a lot for not too many tables. After waiting for 30 min for coffee we gave up and had to cancel. Even the check took another 10 after that. Definitely dont recommend for any kind of business lunch unless you have hours to kill. Food overall was mediocre. Soup was nice. Chicken milanese was pretty average, crusty dry chicken (with some surprisingly fresh salad on top). Risotto was ok, nothing to write home about. Dessert wise tiramisu was probably the better of the other options, can't even remember the other lemon one we had. Overall experience ruined the occasion. Place was undeserving of an establishment of such a reputation.

Had a party of 6 yesterday. Go several times a year. It was subpar. The shrimp wasn't cooked. Raw bar was warm. Sushi was dry. I could go on, yet I despise negative. Wanted to make management aware today or see if they read ratings. You missed big time this past Sunday. The staff was amazing like always.

Went for Miami spice for the $35 menu and unbeknownst to me, Restaurant added a $16 restaurant fee to the check and a 20% gratuity. Just thought everyone should know this before going. Left paying $75 I will not be coming here again.

This is such a beautiful, marvelous historic restaurant in a grandiose hotel. What I was most disappointed by is that the Assistant Director of Food & Beverage confirmed in writing that a special menu with prices removed would be presented to my mom, and instead not only was she presented with a regular menu with prices, but 1. The hostess was completely unaware of this request, 2. Was extremely unprofessionally composed and dressed/demeanor {not an elegant high-end service demeanor and language}, 3. Did not apologize, 4. The male host appeared as if he was a security guard rather than a host of an elegant restaurant in the way he acted and spoke, 5. The server was extremely quick in her movements in placing the silverware and menus to the point where they flew out of her hand and were not laid down gently and properly. When we first came in, we were not greeted by a single person in the hotel. No one opened the door for us. We had to ask where the restaurant was. We were not shown to the host stand and went right past it inside. Nobody helped us inside. We had to ask where the host stand was. Nobody anticipated me by name. I had already written in Opentable where I wanted to sit but we were asked this again when I came in. The server could not wait to get us out of the door. Upon leaving the hotel, we were not greeted good night. In fact, it was I who said “have a good night” to the concierge, who never responded. I would not return here again.

⭐⭐ 2/5 — Fontana Restaurant at the Biltmore Hotel We recently had dinner at Fontana at the Biltmore, and unfortunately the experience didn’t match the reputation or the historic prestige of the hotel. Food: The meal was very inconsistent. The veal ravioli and fettuccine Alfredo were both undercooked and lacked flavor. The squid ink pasta with lobster was just okay. On the bright side, the salmon was good and the lamb chops were excellent easily the best dish of the night. The biggest issue was the sole, which was supposed to be deboned. My grandmother, who is over 90, found several bones in hers. That was really disappointing and concerning. The truffle mashed potatoes that came with it also missed the mark. Service: Service was actually the opposite of inattentive it was overly attentive to the point of feeling smothered. Staff hovered so much that it became uncomfortable, rather than polished or seamless. Fees & Pricing: Prices themselves were fine, but the fees were confusing. There’s a mandatory service charge, a 10% restaurant tax (even though Miami’s tax is 7%), and then an extra tax on the service fee. When we asked management to explain it, the only response was, “It’s a property-wide fee.” Not very helpful. Ambience: The place was clean and we didn’t have to wait long, which was appreciated. But the atmosphere wasn’t what you’d expect from the Biltmore. The indoor dining area was very brightly lit, taking away from any sense of intimacy or upscale feel. Honestly, the water ended up being the best part of the visit. Overall: Fontana has potential because of its location, but the experience didn’t live up to the Biltmore name. Between the uneven food, the uncomfortable service style, the unclear fees, and the lackluster ambience, it just wasn’t the premium experience we expected.

Visited for New Year’s Day brunch. The Biltmore itself is undeniably beautiful, and the setting is what initially drew us in. Unfortunately, the dining experience did not live up to the elegance of the surroundings. Service was very slow, despite the restaurant not being fully seated. We had breakfast reservations, but the wait to be seated was so long that we were given the lunch menu instead, which was not what we had planned for. The menu felt limited, and several items were unavailable. They had run out of syrup for the pancakes, and some of the fruit selections were also depleted. We also had to remind our server about missing items from our order, which further disrupted the experience. A mandatory 20% gratuity is included. While I understand the intent, I personally feel this can remove the incentive for exceptional service—and in this case, the level of attentiveness reflected that. Overall, while the hotel itself is beautiful, the food and service fell short. I left disappointed and do not feel compelled to return for dining.

Let’s get right to it shall we? Not good. Not good at all. The cold food, bland food, long wait (even with reservation), wrinkled table cloths lack of a vibe all added with the price per person equates to a rather mediocre performance of the Biltmore’s part. The wait is not part of the game. There are many higher end Brunches in Miami that don’t require a 45 minute wait. They run on time. Spent $$$ at the bar while waiting. Then spent more $$$ at the bakery because we were STILL waiting. The buffet layout is nonsense. The managers must be runners. Because You get some cardio in for sure while hiking from one side of the venue through the courtyard style restaurant all the way to the other side in order to get food. some genius thought it would be a good idea to put main courses on one side of the venue and brunch courses on the other. I have news for them… It is not a good idea. once your brunch goes over $80 a factor convenience is a thing. I was a bit embarrassed and my guest was underwhelmed as well. I think if you sit outside in the courtyard you get lost in that outdoor brunch vibe. However, off you sit indoors you really get to experience what’s going on. And it ain’t so great. I could go on but I will retire this. I feel like I got robbed for $400. After an ok salmon, mushy & bland paella, and pancakes that Best Western would laugh at… I didn’t even touch the sweets. I just wanted to get out of there.

Service sorely lacking, and they need more servers. We ordered a bottle of wine to start, but it never arrived. Food came and still no wine, so we ordered glasses of wine instead. Finished our meals and still no wine. Server said manager would speak to us, but never did, she just took 20% off our bill. Very disappointing meal, especially as we'd been looking forward to the only "fine" dining open currently at the Biltmore. The entrees we had were also disappointing. Chicken parm came with no pasta, just a chicken breast pounded flat. Seafood was also not as fresh as it could be.

M

Over rated Sunday Brunch, $156.48 per person with taxes plus $25 valet. Bottomless cheap Italian sparkling wine when competition if offering real champagne. Food is not great, sushi bar ridiculous. You feel like being part of a low end cruise. Building needs a remodeling, they are way under Miami standards. Terrible experience.

S
Spencer Ash

Worst dining experience in Miami to date. Wait in the lobby to then wait at the table while you watch it being set. Then wait 30 minutes for coffee, so full of grounds it must have been made by a cowboy in the field. Saw the table bussers more than the servers. Bussers were doing their job for them. Then wait some more. Waited so long we needed to extend the parking payment 3x. Uncoordinated and chaotic. Some meals arrived others didn't. Advertised a burger, delivered the world's coldest and sadest sliders. Advertise steak and eggs, deliver a sliver chopped up with scissors. At the Fontana, get ready to be ripped off. "Over price and under deliver" must be the motto. After waiting an hour for a manager, I ended up having to walk back into the kitchen to find them. They offered to comp the next visit, but we'll likely never entertain the Biltmore again.

Skip the restaurant. The quality of service does not match the hotel. When i checked in for my reservation on time, i was told we would have to wait because they are "booked up". Got seated 20 minutes later and was told by the waiter that the kitchen is closing in 10 minutes. They didn't even attempt to seat us in the location that was selected on the reservation. We had to ask to be moved out of the horrible kitchen area that was really outdated, too bright and extremely loud. The food was fine, but not memorable. Won't be going back. Save time and money by grabbing a drink at the bar and exploring the historic hotel.

Disappointed Birthday Lunch I went to La Fontana at the Biltmore for lunch to celebrate my birthday and was very disappointed. I tried the short rib lasagna, but the tomato sauce completely overpowered the dish it tasted like a regular store-bought sauce, and there was so much pasta that I could barely taste the short ribs. The soup was just okay, and the gelato was the only thing that was truly delicious. On top of that, no one even wished me a happy birthday or sang, which made the experience feel impersonal. Unfortunately, I won’t be coming back.

If you want ambiance it’s the place to be ,service outstanding however they changed the chef and the pasta sauce is a complete turnaround from The previous chef , totally unacceptable and as an Italian American there is nothing Italian about it .

Unfortunately, our experience at Fontana at The Biltmore Hotel was extremely disappointing. Lunch took about 2.5 hours, largely due to painfully slow service. It took 25 minutes just to receive water or any service at all, and another 20 minutes before our drinks arrived. When the food finally came out, it was cold and dry, which made the long wait even more frustrating. For a restaurant in such a well-known hotel, we expected much better service and quality. Overall, it was a very disappointing experience.
